The Importance of Basic Goodness

The reason that it is important to understand your fundamental goodness is that some people don’t. Many people don’t believe that they are good enough. When we don’t believe in our innate goodness, we waste a lot of energy trying to decide if we are good or not. That wasted energy leads to all kinds of problems from depression to world wars.

On a personal level, understanding our basic goodness protects us from insults and insecurities. It allows us to be who we are and be comfortable with that. When we understand that we are good and we let our lives flow from that goodness, we think good thoughts and do good things. Then other people can easily recognize our goodness too. That feels good.

When we understand our own basic goodness, we can also recognize it in others. We can see how people’s misperceptions cause them to suffer. Because we understand, we want to help. Whenever you have the feeling that you want to help another person, that is further proof of your basic goodness. When you have the desire to hurt another person, that is proof of your confusion. When another person hurts you, that is proof of their confusion.

Unfortunately there is a lot of confusion in the world. That is why it is important to remember your basic goodness. It is always with you. Whenever you can recognize it, you are less confused. Understanding your basic goodness allows you to put judgements aside and work on your life goals. When your goals come from your goodness, you achieve greatness.

Some people have mentioned that there's a "13" underneath Eto's right eye (her kakugan eye) when she announces that OEO =/= OEK. I think it looks more like just a "3," and the reversed "Empress" meanings fit a little too well, especially negative feelings, wasted energies, financial problems (her outing as Takatsuki), bitterness toward the world, bad timing to start ventures, and connections to pregnancy problems, miscarriage, and infertility (Kaneki?). Plus, reversed = NOT the empress/king...

hmm looks like a 3 to me too, but not reversed. In a fucked up way it seems to fit what @oneeyedkingeto and I were discussing Eto’s plans for Kaneki are.

The Empress may also indicate pregnancy or birth. On a metaphorical level, the Empress may represent the birth of a new idea, a product, or a new way of being. New ideas and projects will be implemented resulting in the success of all your projects and interests.

If you are a mother yourself, you may be exploring your ‘mother’ role even more deeply than you have before and truly appreciating the gift that has been bestowed upon you. You are blessed by maternal, protective forces or influences.

We know there is symbolism between Eto and Kaneki having a relationship like that of The Black Goat’s Egg. She wants to be the mother that nurturers him into her ideal; to make sure her plans for the world work out in her favor. Eto’s kagune being eaten by Kaneki may be her idea of officially becoming pregnant with a child - a small success that will bring her closer to the bigger goal.

The Universal energy is about to intervene in your life. What appears to be coincidental good luck may actually be the result of a series of good choices you have made. It is your turn to have things work out in your favour, to be blessed and to feel nurtured.

I think… that’s self explanatory.
