100 Prompts That Will Make You Cry: Part 1

Unfortunately, my amigos, we managed to come up with 100 prompts. Here’s part 1:

  1. You’re a ghost haunting your own funeral. You see that nobody showed up.
  2. What are these strangers doing in your house? You’re confused and angry, it’s been a week and it seems like they’re not leaving, they’re not even paying attention to you. You’re the ghost haunting your house without knowing it.
  3. A single man and dog run the Iditarod only to show up with the medicine for his daughter too late. This is his story.
  4. You fight for a noble cause. You complete all the necessary steps. You reach the top of the world doing good deeds to improve peoples lives. It’s your first day of retirement and you watch your hard work comes undone before your eyes.
  5. “You can’t understand how it is to feel this worthless. I just want it all to go away! I want it all to STOP!”
  6. Despite everything they did, everything they went through. It was made clear that their attempts were pointless, as they were too late to save them.
  7. The only thing left for you to do was to leave forever
  8. You didn’t visit your parent figure in hospital the day before they passed away because you wanted to finish your homework. Less than 24 hours later, you get a message from your sibling. “They passed away this morning.”
  9. No matter how hard you try, they just laugh at you. You are a joke, a game, you don’t matter. You’ve had enough.
  10. “Robert, you can’t just leave! There are fifty kids waiting for you! You promised you’d get us out alive. You told them so!” “No, darling, I promised I’d get us out alive. Us, being me and my 500 grand. Thanks for your help, by the way. Sorry about the boiled alive thing. Chao!”

how to study with depression

i’m gonna be honest here. i don’t get the psychological support i need right now and studying is getting harder and harder, as much as any other activity is. so whenever i can, i do whatever it takes to become motivated to do some work, and here is what helps me:

1. environment visuals - this is a very important aspect for me, i’m mostly a visual learner and i need to have everything matching, neat and compatible with my aesthetics. so if you feel demotivated, start with cleaning up, maybe do a little makeover to your study space or even room, as i did not so long ago. this can give you a vibe of a ‘fresh start’, some sort of break from past problems.

2. environment noise - my parents absolutely hate silence. as long as they’re awake, there is always TV going on, any source of noise and images, they find it helpful when in stress, but i don’t. i want to have either perfect silence, which i can find in library and, thank god, sometimes at school when teachers leave as alone with problems/exercises to do, or i want to have some music blasting in my headphones, blocking noises from my parents. if you’re having difficulty focusing on work, you have to get rid of the distractors - turn off your computer, if you have a laptop - take it away from your desk. close your door or ask people at home to keep it quiet - they’re most likely to take it seriously because they most likely want you to have good grades too.

3. mental distractions - whether it is something like stressing about other test than you’re studying for, being focused on other plans you have for the day/week or minor things like wanting to play video games - it is very distracting and we fall into the loop hole of doing the third thing while stressing even more about every other. you want to have a clear vision of what happens when. as a visual thinker i like it when i can easily recall an image in my mind. so do your to-do list, organize every event happening this day, this week or even this month, and if you’re like me, make it clear, colorful, easy to remember. that way if you have organized your study time for a certain subject, even if you think about any other, you will find yourself knowing when is time for that. and knowing that you DO have time for that.

of course there are other things you already know like drinking water, sleeping well, all that kind of stuff. keep in mind that while you can do what you’re comfortable with, you should also set some challenges for yourself. recovery doesn’t happen when you’re doing nothing. on days when you feel better, think about spending your time differently, slowly doing more and more. you’re gonna thank yourself for the results and, perhaps, this shall motivate you further. best of luck, students!

Can we take a moment to appreciate what a wonderful and weird kid Rosie will be because her dads are like the most ridiculous and insane people to ever raise a kid

- her school lunches will consist of a peanut butter sandwich, juice box, an apple, and cryptic codes and notes

- she’ll teacher herself to play all of her dads favorite music on the violin.
- perfect grammar and a beautiful vocabulary mingled with swearing
- she can recite all of Shakespeare’s sonnets after a single afternoons reading

- snuggling with her dads and watching BBC documentaries every Thursday

Like she’s the cutest, weirdest, smartest little bean to ever grace the earth

things i love about my hero academia

(not all of them because then this would turn into a 500 page journal that could be published and sold and no one would buy it because no one is as much of a nerd as i am)

  • our main protagonist is not a traditionally masculine hero. he’s small, he’s weak, he’s a crybaby, he’s sensitive. especially in the shounen genre, this is a pretty rare thing to see, and even as Izuku grows as a person and becomes more confident in himself, he’s still shy and anxious.
  • he’s also a fanboy!! and not in a bad way!! it’s his fanboy nature that allows him to express himself and show how smart, intuitive, and observant he is
  • the character who does get all the traditionally masculine traits is the character everyone in the main cast acknowledges is a total asshole who mercilessly bullied and abused his classmate/childhood playmate
  • it’s also very clearly seen that Izuku has been conditioned (unintentionally) to fear Bakugou because of all of that physical and emotional abuse. just because he’s a hero in training and he’s learning and growing and becoming more confident doesn’t erase all of those years of bullying
  • it’s also acknowledged that they are children and still have room to grow. Bakugou is an asshole, but he’s not totally villainized for his behavior and is given the chance to change and become a better person because he’s only sixteen years old and still has time to change
  • and he does!! he makes an effort to change and try to adjust his behavior to make a more positive impact (even if it is a slow and arduous process, we do see him make great strides throughout the manga)
  • it would have been really easy to just throw Bakugou under the bus and make him a villain, but instead we get to see his growth as a person as he matures and enters the world of adulthood
  • All Might is the no. 1 hero, the Symbol of Peace, the man everyone thinks is invincible, and he has a chronic condition. he’s missing his stomach, he’s had multiple surgeries, he spits up blood, he literally looks like a skeleton, guys. but even after the reveal, people still admire and look up to him as an idol because he’s still All Might and he still protected and saved a lot of lives and was still a hero
  • All Might’s relationship with Izuku just in general. seriously, i could make an entirely different list just based on their relationship and 95% of the fandom has already talked about them, so i won’t gush about their relationship too much here
  • the fact that most of the adults take responsibility when they fuck up. the police force realize they’ve relied too heavily on heroes, specifically All Might, and they make an effort to change that so they can help people. the teachers at UA recognize that they’ve neglected students who need psychological help. Izuku’s mom acknowledges that she should have encouraged his dream in spite of his quirklessness. most stories, even in the west, don’t have nearly as much adult responsibility as this series does
  • the elusive living anime mom
  • okay but seriously, Inko is quite possibly one of the best fictional moms i’ve seen in a long time. she’s loving and encouraging and she tries her hardest, but she’s not perfect. she’s a single mom caring for her son, who wants to go into this incredibly dangerous profession. and when he gets hurt enough times, when her limit is finally met, she puts her foot down and says “no. i love you, but i can’t let you keep getting hurt like this.” like any reasonable parent would. and the only way she relents is when she sees how much Toshinori wants to teach him and nurture him and encourage him and see his dream recognized and she sees how badly Izuku wants to continue down this path, even if it’s under her terms.
  • this series seriously tackles a lot of topics that you wouldn’t expect it to. you know you’re gonna get the usual topics like what makes a hero, what makes a villain, etc. but, it also goes over other subjects like bullying, parental abuse, discrimination, grief, inferiority complexes, how easy it is to create a monster, redemption. this is a manga about teenagers learning to be super heroes, how did it turn out like this
  • it would have been so easy to sexualize any of the girls. this manga, in the hands of a lesser author, would have featured a lot of fan service shots of the girls. Momo especially, considering she wears a very revealing outfit. and yet, none of them are sexualized?? in any way shape or form??? yeah, we see Momo shirtless a lot and some girls wear skin tight outfits. but, you know who else has skin tight outfits and revealing hero costumes? the boys. and when we do see a shirtless girl or boy, it’s not framed in a way where we’re meant to be objectifying their body. there’s a reason why it happened and we move on. it’s so refreshing.
  • (there are only two fan service female characters. one uses her sexuality to get free shit and the other is meant to make you uncomfortable. take it what you will)
  • we get a lot of unique designs for each of the characters. there are no same faces. each character has a unique quirk and a design that belongs to them. they aren’t interchangeable with one another. Izuku looks like Izuku. All Might looks like All Might. they all look unique with different shapes and sizes
  • (admittedly the manga still kind of falls under the trap of the boys get to have weird, strange designs and the girls all kind of look cute, but it’s not nearly as bad as some other shows. and honestly, if that’s my only complaint, that says a lot)
  • fighting doesn’t solve everything! there’s a really incredible few chapters in the manga dedicated to acknowledging that Izuku and Bakugou seriously need to talk to each other about what Bakugou did to him. they’re both incredible people in their own right and they can learn a lot from each other, but only if they stop fighting and actually communicate with each other. one of the chapters is literally titled “a meaningless fight”. because it is meaningless. it’s not going to solve their problems, fix past mistakes, or make them feel better. it’s a fight to get aggression out because Bakugou doesn’t know any other way to deal with his emotions and trauma.
  • kindness is rewarded!!! cruelty is not!!! i’m really sick and tired of TV shows and movies trying to sell this pessimistic outlook that everything sucks and that gives us the right to be assholes to each other just because it’s edgy. My Hero Academia is such a positive manga and it brings me so much joy and happiness and it sends such a wonderful message of anyone can be a hero if you have a good heart and that kindness will be rewarded, even if it takes a really long time.

i love this manga so much and it’s given me so much light and happiness in my life and if that makes me weird because it’s anime, then fine. whatever. i don’t care. i’ll love it for as long as i can, dammit.

1. I know letting go may feel like hitting pavement but sometimes staying is like getting hit by a train you’ve seen coming for miles.
2. There are symphonies that are screaming it is going to get better. Listen to the music.
3. The most fight you’ll ever feel is from inside your heart.
4. Nostalgia is only good for telling you bedtime stories. Don’t let it tuck you in at night, don’t let it keep you warm.
5. Keep the moments that you wish could live on for a gazillion years close to your heart, never let them burn out.
6. You’ll find someone that’s not them. You’ll love again and it’ll be pure and significant in its own way.
7. They remember it all. They’ll see how much you impacted their lives much later.
8. You may hate high school, but it’s when it’s almost over that you get flashes of when you were young and passed notes with your first love in art class and had talks with teachers that really mattered and you’ll want it to slow down. Take it in, there’s good in everything.
9. Sometimes the one that was your perfect match will be the one to watch you burn.
10. What’s meant to be yours will always find its way home.
11. It’s okay to change without them. Remember that you are the main character of your story.
12. Music cures it all.
13. Telling the story of how I fell in love with you still warms me from the inside out. Teach me how to let go of you.
14. Falling out of love makes you feel like you’ll never want to do it again, but the feeling of your heart dropping when he tells you he’s wanted you all these years is worth the stab at the end.
15. You jump off the cliff hoping there won’t be daggers at the bottom, and when you’re young you think you know how much it’ll hurt. When it comes, you’ll realize you had no clue.
16. My biggest fear was not being with you. I’m becoming someone without you, and it doesn’t feel right.
17. The nicer you are, the more beautiful you become.
18. One day you’ll meet again, and it’ll be just as scary and beautiful as the first time.
19. You’ll find your person. You may not recognize them at first because they’re not as shiny as they are in the movies, but you’ll know by the calm they bring.
20. Thank God for him.
21. The boy who runs in my dreams isn’t as dishonest. He holds my hand whenever I need to feel less alone and I sit around his kitchen table and talk to his mother about poetry. She goes on to say something about how statistically people are more afraid of love than anything else and the things I don’t say- tell her all there is to know about me. That I’m afraid beyond measure of what love can do to a person. Because I spent the last two years loving someone who didn’t know anything other than tearing apart the sole purpose of my existence. The boy who runs beside me in my dreams convinces me that love isn’t always teeth and bite marks. In my dreams, my scars aren’t there because I never tasted a bitter love before. The boy in my dreams loves me enough to let me meet his mother and destroys the idea that love is what I came here to die for.
22. Maybe love stays, maybe love can’t. Maybe love shouldn’t.
23. I glance off in another direction, but I always glance back at you.
24. Things that are sweet like this attract the worst kind of hungry.
25. I don’t think you’ll ever realize you changed everything for me.
26. I found faith that summer. The lips told stories I fell asleep to, the hands promised to hold on. But bliss is temporary when you pull your hands away from your eyes, and summer only lasts 3 months.
27. Let it pass; April is over, April is over. There are all kinds of love in this world, but never the same love twice.

Warning: Swearing

Peer Communications was one of the subjects you looked up to everyday and you loved it because you learnt how to behave with people and how to communicate with them. You sometimes asked for help whenever you were down and needed some advices. You also studied some psychological topics and it helped you to be more empathic towards other people.

One more thing you liked about it was the notes of encouragement bag. You could write some anonymous notes to people and put it in their bag. Its purpose was to encourage people so they would value their self-esteem and their existence in this world.

You thought that the idea was amazing and innovative, because it has been awhile since you’ve been secretly receiving love letters from someone from your class. You could admit that the person perfectly cheered you up, making you more confident whenever they would leave one in your bag, but it didn’t help you to kill your curiosity to find out who the person was.

“(Y/N), you look so pretty whenever you smile and it melts me every time I see your lips curving and with those perfect white teeth of yours exposing.” Alex read that little piece of paper with a smirk as you were talking about your secret admirer.

You two were in the library with Zach and Jessica while you were waiting for your next subject: Peer Communications.

“Aw, that’s so sweet.” Jessica complimented as she took the piece of paper from Alex’s hand and read it once again, with a lower tone this time.

“It is.” You bit your lip as you tried not to smile too much because of it. “I wonder who it is.” You wouldn’t sleep sometimes because of it and, being your ultimate crush, you kind of wished that it was Zach.

“Jesus Christ, that’s too damn corny!” Zach complaint and shook his head.

“Stop being jealous, Dempsey.” You winked at him as you teased him, but you were absolutely broken hearted for his reaction. You shrugged it off since you hinted that he was having a bad day, because he just gathered his things and walked away. “Zach!” You shouted as you tried to stop him.

“Zachary Dempsey!” Jessica tried to stop him too, but he just ignored you and he got out of the library, annoyed and vexed.

“Shh!” The old and stressed librarian scolded you and you just flashed her an apologetic smile. You were embarrassed, because you got some looks from your other fellow students and you heard soft giggles from Alex.

“I’m pulling your septum ring away if you don’t stop.” You threatened him and he suddenly closed his mouth, rolling his eyes. “Just kidding, Standall!” You and Jessica then giggled silently and Alex shook his head.

“(Y/N),” Alex became serious as he looked at you, straight into your eyes. “I think he’s jealous.”

“Jealous? Who?” You corrugated your forehead as you couldn’t understand what he was talking about.

“Jesus,” He let his face fall on his hands as he unleashed a long and deep sigh. “Zach!”

“What the fuck are you saying Alex?” You snatched a piece of paper from Alex’s hand and you started to gather your things. It was impossible that Zach was jealous, how could he? Didn’t he think that those stuffs were damn corny? “Don’t think about it that way, Mr. I jump into conclusions easily.”

“Why the fuck are these people so touchy?” Alex complaint as he looked at Jessica and pointed at you. You and Jessica both chuckled because Alex thought that you were annoyed and frustrated.

“I’m not being touchy, bro!” You defended yourself and you looked at your wrist watch for the time. “We’re going to be late if you don’t get your ass up.”

“Alright, let’s go.” They started to gather their things and you all went out of the library as you headed to your next class.

“Wait, I forgot my book!” Jessica exclaimed as she was controlling the books in her bag. “(Y/N), mind joining me?”

“Oh, sure!” You smiled at her and you were about to go away, when Alex stopped you.

“I’ll go with her, go inside the class (Y/N) and save us our seats.” Alex proposed and you just shrugged it off. They both went to Jessica’s locker and you entered your room.

“Zach?” You were surprised to see Zach and he was about to put a piece of paper inside your encouragement bag. How? You thought he never liked those stuffs.

“(Y/N)!” His eyes widened as he saw you entering the room. He didn’t expect to see you and he was frightened because you caught him. “Uhm, I- I…” He stuttered and he didn’t know what to say.

“You are my secret admirer?” You corrugated your forehead as you brought your hand to your slightly opened mouth, shocked of the revelation.

“Uhm,” He wandered around the room as he felt nervous and you could see that he was blushing. “read this.” He walked closer to you and handed you the paper, instead of putting it in your bag. He was already caught in action, why would he even escape?

“Thank you.” You shyly said as you carefully accepted the paper from his hand.
You slowly opened the folded paper and you were honestly excited to read what was written in it.

Dear (Y/N),

Hi! How are you? I know that it’s been awhile since you started receiving love letters from me and your curiosity is killing you every time, I always see you frustrated after reading my notes.
Anyway, I know that I suck at writing, but I wanted to let you know that I am liking you more and more every day. I am happy to be your friend and being just a friend is enough for me, if you don’t feel the same way. I sometimes hope that you feel or will feel the same way about me too, anyway. I am keeping my fingers crossed,

Take care always,
Zach
.

You silently read the short letter as the two of you stood in the middle of your classroom. You looked at Zach and you flashed him a sweet smile. Your heartbeat was getting louder and you became nervous and enthusiastically happy at the same time.

You wondered, though, why he acted strange earlier if he felt that way? Why would he be jealous, like what Alex hypothesized? Damn, look what Alex could do at you!

“Zach, you are the sweetest person ever.” He smiled at you and he pulled you into a hug.

“I understand if you don’t feel the same way about me,” You hugged him back and you were amazed by the height difference that you both had. He was surely tall and you had to admit that you felt a little bit small. “your friendship is enough.” He murmured and you could hear in his voice that he was wishing for more.

“Zach,” You broke the hug so you could see his handsome face. “you are sweet, kind and funny. It’s not impossible to not like you back.” You honestly confessed back and you quickly saw a wide smile forming on his lips, while he fidgeted with his fingers and looking at his shoes, as if they were the most interesting things in the world.

It was true that you had a crush on him for a while now and you never had the guts to admit it because you thought that it was the boy who should do the first step. Yup, old style.

“Rosie’s tonight then?” He happily asked. “So, we can talk about it.”

“Yeah, sure!” You hyperactively nodded and he let out some soft laughs.

You and Zach stared at each other for a while and you both didn’t know what to say because the awkward atmosphere. At that moment, you hated your classmates for not coming inside the classroom until the bell rang and you hated Jessica and Alex because they were taking too much time to get the freaking damn book.

“Zach!” You suddenly blurted out as you remembered that something was bothering you. “Why did you say that those stuffs were corny if you were the one who writes them?”

“The one that Alex has read wasn’t from me.” He seemed disturbed at the thought of that little letter.

“So, you were really jealous?” You smirked as you teased him and he rolled his eyes.

“Uhm, yes,” He almost whispered as he answered your question sincerely. He looked at the ground as he tried to hide his reddish face. “because I saw that you were so happy because of it and I thought that you didn’t like me and you liked that one, instead.“ He explained and you just giggled. You didn’t know that he was that possessive and you honestly loved it. A possessive and overprotective boyfriend was what you were asking for.

“Silly!” You shook your head because he thought that you didn’t like him. “I still wonder who wrote that note though.”

“My fault!” Alex entered the classroom and winked at Zach, who was already giving him a death glare. You raised an eyebrow as you asked for explanations from that vexatious friend of yours. “I knew that he liked you and I told you that he was jealous.”

“Damn it, Standall!” Zach complaint, but Alex didn’t seem to care that much. You smiled because you understood what he tried to do and you couldn’t help but to love that idiot even more, of course, as a friend.

“Congrats!” He cheerfully teased the two of you. “By the way, I really thought that you have a really nice and perfect smile, (Y/N), and I can confirm it now.” He pointed it out as he saw you smiling widely for his actions.

You shook your head together with and stopped as soon as the bell rang. You went to your seats as the other students came inside the room. You kept on getting smirks and teasing winks from Alex, but you just threw him a crumpled paper in response.

Your favourite subject was about to start and you wanted to thank your teacher for making those bags of encouragement up. It was really a useful and a pleasant idea.

At least, it helped you to be more confident and it has got you a date for that night.

A/N: I’m fucking tired. That’s all that needs to be said.

Warnings: None, fluff, slight angst i guess??

He had never actually noticed you, which was saying something because Jughead was a pretty observant guy. Well, he knew you were there, just thought you were too bland to waste any thought on.

You would always just take your place in the back of the class as you avoided the rest of mankind and did your schoolwork. About a week ago, your English teacher assigned all of you to write an essay about the classic, Romeo and Juliet, that you all would be required to read to the entire class.

You spent the entire week on it, making sure it was perfect. When the day came to presenting, your teacher picked students at random to present their pieces. You picked at your sleeves as you fidgeted, not wanting to go in the front of the class. But you knew you had no choice.

When your name was read aloud to announce your turn, you froze as everyone turned to look at you. You shakily stood up and grabbed your paper, gripping it tightly as you walked to the front of the class. You passed multiple desks before finally making it to the front and lightly clearing your throat before speaking.

Jughead hadn’t been paying attention at all to any of the students presentations, yawning at them all and cursing the stupid assignment in his head. That was, until you started to speak.

He had never actually heard you speak before, but found your voice soothing. As you went to explain further in your essay he watched the determination and confidence showing on your features and admired it.

You began to quote some of the famous tale and his eyes flitted from your messy h/c locks to your big e/c eyes. You read your big finish with a smile as the teacher applauded, astounded by your work. The rest of the class just smiled approvingly as they kept looking up at the classroom clock to see when the class would be over.

You noticed a dark haired boy staring at you and realized it was Jughead. You’d seen him around and were always intrigued but never were brave enough to approach him. His deep blue irises watched you as you walked back to your seat and let out a huge sigh before putting your stuff back in your bag, seeing as the bell was about to ring.

He smiled to himself, realizing he was starting to develop something he never thought he would. A crush. The bell rang signaling the class was over and you pushed yourself out of your seat, trying to avoid everyone as you left the classroom. After that day, Jughead started to notice you everywhere.

He saw that you ate lunch under the same tree out in the yard everyday as you had your nose stuck in a book. He would notice your regular appearance at Pop’s where you would order your usual, a chocolate shake with whipped cream and a cherry.

After a few days of watching and becoming mesmerized with you, he finally decided to make a move the next day at Pop’s. That day, after a stressful day at school, you walked over to Pop’s hoping just to relax for a little bit and throw yourself into the world of books. You took a seat in your normal booth, but as soon as you sat down, a waiter came over with your usual before walking away briskly.

“But I didn’t pay-.” You were interrupted by someone taking a seat in front of you and stealing the cherry from your favored milkshake. “Don’t worry, I already did.” He said as he pulled the stem away from his lips and flicked it away. You realized it was Jughead. Not knowing what to say, you just stared at him for a few seconds.

“Uh, You’re J-Jughead right?“ You asked still slightly startled and surprised that someone would pay for your food.

"Yes, let me formally introduce myself. I’m Jughead Jones the Third. But Jughead is just fine.” He said with a wry grin as he held a hand out. You just stared at it, not knowing what to say. “Was I too forward? Yep, probably. I’m sorry, I just, I’ve noticed you around school and have taken an interest in you, so I decided to meet you.” He admitted.

Your eyebrows furrowed. “You wanted to meet me?” You asked confused. He nodded with a shrug, I find you very interesting Y/N L/N.“ He said as he leaned against the back of his chair. You ran a hand through your hair nervously. "I-I’m not interesting. I’m boring. I don’t have any friends, unless you count my books, and no one has had a problem telling me so. Why would you find me interesting?"

You started to mess with the ends of your sleeves as you looked down at them, suddenly finding them very intriguing. "Well, I find you fascinating. You wrote a story with your words. You obviously pay very much attention to detail. You actually like reading books which is rare nowadays. You’re very pretty might I add. What’s not to like about you?” You blushed and looked away, not wanting to embarrass yourself. He straightened himself before speaking again.

“Well, this was a very fun talk. Let’s do it again sometime. How about tomorrow at seven? Great. See ya around.” He said before leaving, not giving you any room to talk in between. You watched walk away in shock. You couldn’t believe someone was actually interested in you.

And it felt amazing. You weren’t going to mess this one up, because who knows how many chances like this you’d get.

Development of Saturn

Inspired by @from-the-west-meadow.
“Have you written any tips on how to work with or ground Saturn’s influence?”

1. Self-discovery. This is the most important part of any self-development; know yourself, understand yourself, fully experience yourself before you try to heal, improve, and change yourself. There’s no way around this.

2. Time. You have to be patient with yourself, and with Saturn.

3. Effort. Nothing just “happens” when it comes to Saturn, you absolutely have to work for it. Strive and struggle and try again. It will be worth it.

4. Respect. Respect yourself, respect other people, respect Saturn. Respect the issue. Respect boundaries. Understand the rules, understand the problem, and be reverent toward the reality of the situation. Handle what obstacles are thrown in your way with maturity, rationality, and humility.

5. Rest. Don’t run yourself dry. Saturn isn’t trying to weaken you – that’s the opposite of the purpose of the pain. Give yourself a break so you’ll be able to keep learning. This doesn’t mean you can “recharge” what you’re trying to erase; don’t go back to old bad habits. Just relax, and then get back to work.

6. Exposure. Saturn doesn’t care about your comfort zone. If you want to learn from Saturn, follow him outside your little circle of security. Face whatever it is that you fear, because that’s the only way to get over it.

7. Practice. This is on the same level as #3, but it’s a bit different; don’t just put the work in – accept that the work will not always yield perfect results. Art teachers will tell you this when you first start drawing: don’t try to make everything a masterpiece, especially when you’re nowhere near ready. Not everything has to work out. Make room for error. The difference between the beginner and the master is that the master has made a million more mistakes than the beginner. Be willing to fail; turn those failures into success.

8. Openness. If you don’t want to change, you never will. If you don’t want to learn, you never will. You can’t be stubborn and blocked off. You have to make yourself available to the transformations or you will certainly never grow.

9. Return the tough love. Possibly the most imperative yet most overlooked aspect of developing Saturn’s placement in your natal chart is learning how to appreciate the nature of Saturn for what it is. It’s not gentle at all. It’s not easy. It’s unbearable & that’s the point. It’s a good thing. If it’s the worst thing you’ve ever experienced in your life, good. Adore it. Because without the wounds and challenges of Saturn, we might never amount to anything.

2

I spent my evening with people that I have known since I was 14, back when I was awkward and spent more time with teachers at social events than other kids my age. I was shy and focused all my energy into school work and sports to ignore what I felt about myself. People that have known me since before I came out as a lesbian, then queer, then trans. I hadn’t seen them since I started this transition and I was pretty nervous, but the night was perfect and exactly what I needed. Only positivity and love and goodness. The people in your life that matter only want you happy, and even as time passes they stay the same consistent rocks you can count on. tonight I was very happy, sharing that happiness with people that I count very dear to me and missed very much. ❤

Jeff Atkins

You sighed contentedly as you sat in Slughorn’s Potions class, listening to Hermione Granger describe the sweet smelling potion, Amortentia, sitting in front of you. “It smells different to every person, depending on what they are most attracted to.” she was explaining.

“What do you smell?” you heard a familiar voice ask, and turned towards the captain of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team leaning towards you with a flirty glint in his eyes.

“And why would I tell you that, Atkins?” you teased.

“Oh, come on, I’ll tell you what I smell!” he answered. Leaning towards you, he lowered his voice to list his various scents. “I smell leather, freshly mowed grass, and something familiar that I can’t quite place."

You arched an eyebrow. "You don’t even know one of your smells?"

He laughed. "Oh, so you recognize all of yours?"

You took a deep breath, and decided to finally tell him. "Okay, mine are freshly brewed coffee, old books, and that cologne that your mom always sends you.” you whispered, staring at the table in front of you.

Jeff stayed silent for a minute, the most terrifying minute of my life. Finally, you heard him exhale. “I lied.” he muttered.

“What?” you asked, turning your gaze to him. “I lied. I told you I didn’t know my third scent, but I do. It’s the way you always smell when you come back from holidays. Like the evergreens all around your house, in that forest you like to read in.” His cheeks were a bright red by the time he finished speaking, but you couldn’t hide the smile on your face. You went to reply, but he cut you off by pressing his lips to yours, your heart fluttering.

“While that was all very romantic, Mr. Atkins and Miss (Y/L/N), could we please resume class now?” Slughorn asked as you and Jeff broke apart, cheeks burning with both happiness and embarrassment.

Justin Foley

You spun around one last time in front of your dormitory’s mirror. The way your dress flowed around your ankles when you twirled made you feel like a princess. You’d never felt more beautiful than you did in the moment.

“Wow, (Y/N), you look incredible! Justin’s going to fall in love with you on the spot.” you best friend, Hannah Abbott, teased.

Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment as you muttered, “Shut up, no he isn’t."

"Just wait, you’ll see.” she said, winking as she looped her arms through yours and you two exited the Hufflepuff common room.

The Great Hall was decorated beautifully for the Yule Ball– it was like a winter wonderland, complete with ice sculptures and Christmas trees all around.

“(Y/N)!” You turned your attention away from the decorations when you heard the familiar voice of the Slytherin boy headed your way.

“Hi, Justin.” you replied as he reached you. And man, did he look good. “You clean up nice.” you laughed, eying him up and down.

Laughing with you, he took a step back to admire your appearance. “God, you look absolutely stunning.” he said. Music started playing around you, signaling the start of the first dance. You all watched and clapped politely as the champions and their dates began dancing, soon joined by teachers and other students. “May I have this dance?” Justin offered his hand to you.

You grinned. “Of course."

 –

After the feast and hours of dancing with Justin, you were exhausted. Dumbledore finally announced the last dance, and despite not wanting the night to end, you couldn’t help but feel relieved. Even so, you were disappointed to see such a perfect night come to a close. One last waltz began and you allowed Justin to once again pull you close to his body. "You really are beautiful.” he whispered as he led you in the dance. You blushed, your eyes glancing down the floor as a smile crept onto your face. Justin tilted your chin up gently so that he could look into your eyes. “(Y/N)?"

"Yes?” you prompted.

“Will you be my girlfriend?"

You couldn’t stop the smile that was spreading across your face. "I would love nothing more.” His mouth formed into a grin to match yours before he leaned in to kiss you. This really was the perfect night.

Clay Jensen

“Miss (Y/L/N), please stay after class for a moment.” Professor Flitwick requested as you tried to leave his room. You sighed as you turned around, knowing what this was about. “(Y/N), I know you’re very smart and you do well in every other class, but I can tell you’re struggling with Charms. I’ve arranged for a fellow Ravenclaw to tutor you. He will meet you in this classroom at the end of lessons today."

"I have Quidditch practice today, sir.” you said, hoping to get out of this.

“Yes, you will be finished before dinner. Practice is not until after dinner. You must improve in Charms if you’d like to stay on the team.” he retorted. You fought hard not to roll your eyes.

“Yes sir. Thank you, sir.” you said with a sigh, leaving the room.

After lessons that day, you went back to Flitwick’s classroom to meet your tutor. To your surprise, Clay Jensen was sitting at a desk when you walked in.

“Clay? You’re my tutor?” you asked.

“Seems like it. I didn’t know you needed a tutor, (Y/N)” he answered.

“I usually don’t, but Charms is my worst class.” you admitted.

He gave you a small smile, one that made your heart beat a little faster. “I can help with that.” he said softly. Maybe this tutoring thing won’t be so bad.

After just two weeks of Clay’s help, your Charms work had improved significantly. You didn’t tell him this, though, because you secretly really enjoyed spending the time with him and you didn’t want it to end.

“Professor Flitwick says you’re doing much better in class, (Y/N).” Clay said as he walked into the room one day. “You’ll be able to play in the match Friday!"

You grinned. "All thanks to you.” you said with a wink, causing him to blush.

When the match came on Friday, Ravenclaw flattened Hufflepuff, largely due to you catching the snitch early. This win was huge; it put you in the Cup finals with Gryffindor. So, naturally, your House rushed onto the field when you won. All around you, people yelled congratulations and clapped you on the back, but it didn’t take you long to spot the one classmate you were looking for.

“Jensen!” you yelled, trying to make him hear you. He pushed through the crowd to get to you, offering his congratulations when he reached you. Smiling, you wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him down into a kiss. Cheers erupted all around you, causing you to pull apart, laughing. “Couldn’t have done it without you.” You admitted. Grinned, he planted his lips on yours once more.

Zach Dempsey

“You did what?!” you yelled at your boyfriend, making every other Hufflepuff in the common room turn to look at you.

“Babe, calm down,” he mumbled, glancing around at everyone staring.

“I most certainly will not calm down! Why would you enter your name for the Triwizard Tournament? Are you trying to get yourself killed, or are you just stupid?” To those around you, your words and your tone seemed to radiate anger, but inside? All you could feel was paralyzing fear. All of your blood had turned cold the moment your idiot boyfriend had told you he’d entered his name.

“What, you think I can’t do it? You think I can’t win?” he challenged, losing all concern about your watching classmates.

“You didn’t even discuss this with me, Zach! Since when do you not tell me things? Did you do this on a whim?” you retorted. He fixed his glare on the floor and didn’t answer. You scoffed. “Wonderful. Great. How lovely that you’re going to get yourself killed on impulse.” You turned and stormed out of the common room, feeling as though you were going to be sick.

“And the Hogwarts Champion is….” As Dumbledore took a dramatic pause, you silently prayed for him to say Cedric. or Angelina. or any other name but Zach’s. “…Zach Dempsey of Hufflepuff!” Your stomach dropped. The Great Hall erupted around you as your boyfriend rose from his seat farther down your House table. He wasn’t sitting next to you tonight; you hadn’t even spoken since your fight in the common room. He caught your eye as he walked forward, his usually loving gaze still full of love, but now mixed with other emotions: fear, pride, hurt. Hurt that you hadn’t believed in him. Hurt that you weren’t right there cheering him on with everyone else. Hurt that you two were still fighting.

Later that night, he approached you at your favorite chair in the common room. Your House was celebrating all around you, but your heart was broken at the thought of losing Zach. "Can we talk?“ he asked over the noise.

You nodded, allowing him to pull you out of your chair and into a hallway. "I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.” he muttered, pulling you against his chest.

You sighed. “I’m sorry I didn’t believe in you, I’m just so scared.” you admitted, unable to stop the tears falling down your cheeks. He nodded, placing a kiss on the top of your head as he wiped the tears away with his thumbs.

“Me too, babe."

Alex Standall

"You know, the next Hogsmeade trip is on Valentine’s Day.” Alex said, sitting across the table from you at dinner one night.

“Is it? I hadn’t noticed.” You were lying through your teeth, of course. You had noticed, and after the past couple of “dates” you and Alex had been on (mainly studying dates and the occasions walk around the lake), you were hoping he’d make it official there.

“Will you go with me? We could go to that little café thing all girls seem to love.” he suggested.

“You mean Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop?"

"Yeah, that one. Or somewhere else if you want, it’s up to you.” he said, cheeks tinged slightly red.

“I would love to, Alex.” you said with a small smile.

February 14th finally came a few days later, and after a bit of teasing from your friends, you went downstairs to meet Alex for your date. “Hey beautiful, ready to go?” he said once you’d met him in the Great Hall. You smiled as he took your hand and led you down the path to the little village. The walk wasn’t terribly long, but it was cold, so Alex gave you his jacket, refusing to hear your protests. When you finally made it to the tea shop, you were both relieved by the warmth in the place. He bought you both hot chocolate before you sat together in a little booth. You sat in a comfortable silence for a few minutes as you let your hot chocolate warm you up. Looking around, you couldn’t help but notice how cozy all of the couples looked, as though they had no care in the world except for each other. He finally broke the silence after a few minutes, your conversations ranging everywhere from classes to Quidditch to your home lives.

He glanced down at his watch some time later, and a surprised look crossed his face. “We have to be back at school in half an hour."

"We’ve been sitting here for 5 hours?” you asked, as startled as he looked. “Yeah, we should head back then!"

"Wait.” he said, as you two stood up to leave. “Before we go… Will you be my girlfriend? Like, officially?"

You smiled. "I would love to.”
