wanting the best for people

anonymous asked:

How would you go about trying to make friends with someone online? There are so many people (you included) that I want to talk to but I get so fuckin nervous... And, while its my own issue, I tend to not message/reply for weeks sometimes and I fuckin hate it... Sometimes I feel like its better if I just don't interact w people one on one. Hell, I prefer talking in a public space.. But its just so... I don't know man sorry for the ask love ya. You keep doing your thing.

eh this might just be me but i rly dont click well with people who are specifically ‘trying to be friends’, if that makes sense. like im always open to chatting w people who hit me up (well usually. im not keen on it w people like 16 and under just cuz it makes me uncomfortable) and if we talk regularly thats just how it ends up

but when someone says like “can we be friends?” or tries to awkwardly force conversation (like “hey!” “how are you” “what are you up to” all the time even when im non responsive) i usually just kinda drop contact eventually. it feels disingenuous and its easy to tell when it’s only bc im Scotch™ cuz like, no way would someone care that much about pushing a “friendship” along with anyone else who seemed disinterested. it rubs me the wrong way.

So, I’ve decided to start taking requests for fics and stuff. Come one come all. Bring me all your dark, closeted, shameful desires and I’ll write about them for you. Literally anything, from Pennywise to Eric Northman, etc, or even the actors who play your favorites, and I’ll do my best to get you what you want. Looking forward to hearing from people. ❤ XoXo~ Dani

whats a good excuse i can give to my parents so i can get my hair cut?

Hey, what I did was that I told my mum I’d been reading about the work that Cancer charities do in providing kids with wigs, and how much it changed those kid’s lives. I brought it up fairly often, and even brought out the numbers which proved that my hair was a perfect length. Then when you get it cut, you can donate it - it feels so great to help people, and you got what you wanted! Best of luck! -Alex

I’m seeing comments and posts about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man being too weak and unreliable, but that’s the whole point of Homecoming? Peter is new to the whole superhero business but y’all expect this fifteen year old to be a full fledged Avenger in his first movie? I loved seeing him run into fences, watching him make a fool of himself, and crying for help because he’s a dumb kid and that’s what they do. They are naive and immature and they make stupid mistakes. He’s still learning and we really get to see how vulnerable and weak this Spidey is. Spider-Man: Homecoming isn’t as epic and heroic as the previous Spidey films but that’s why it works so well. We get to really see a grounded and unskilled Peter Parker grow and I’m so excited to see him become the greatest hero in the MCU.

My country is celebrating 100 years of independence this year and we are also achieving marriage equality on the 1st of March. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our achievements as a nation than celebrating equality and human rights. Congratulations, Finland, may there be many more victories such as this and may your freedom last a thousand years!

(yes, the Finnish flag appears backwards because she’s waving it around)

Do you see any difference between these two gifs, other than the colors and the pixels ? Well, one is made with Flipnote Studio on my Nintendo DSi, and the other one is made with TVPaint.

I just wanted to post the same animation but with two different programs, to show you guys that an idea can be expressed and understandable through many mediums ! I could draw this in traditional too if I wanted. But why am I posting this ?

A few days ago, I received a message from a professional animator, telling me that I was wasting my time animating on “that sh*tty program” and that I will “never find a job or earn money” if I continued working like this. It was brutal, and awfully judgemental, especially coming from someone who shares (or is supposed to, at least) the same passion for animation as me.

He also told me that he will never follow me or like any of my animations because of the program I use. So, well … I just replied that his behavior was beyond childish, and absolutely unprofessional. I said, “You don’t see the potential of the animations I share there with many people, I put all of my love on them, I work hard and I enjoy making them. Yeah I’m not gaining any money from that hard work, so what? Do you think everybody on the internet shares their work only for profit?”

I took some time to think about it. It hurt me a little but then I remembered that so many of you follow me, give me great feedback, and heartwarming comments, even if I don’t draw on the BEST programs ever! I mean, just because someone draws on Paint Tool SAI instead of Photoshop, it doesn’t mean that their art sucks!

I learned a lot with Flipnote Studio and thats why I still use it to animate, and you can see that I can animate with many colors too (I wanted to show you later as a surprise but well, now you know) and I will be able to teach you things about TVPaint if you want now. Remember, my friends: an artist is someone who has the capacity to share emotions and messages through the art they are creating; no matter what medium or program you use for it, if it’s understandable you’re doing it right!

I hope this will help some of you who are working on less well-known programs and had some jerk telling them that it was bad. I’m glad to see that young animators, artists & people who are not creators at all saw the hard work in my animations, and pushed me up ! I love you all, and I will continue to work hard for you, to share my huge passion of animation with you and make you smile as always ! Merci tout le monde !

Clearly that website is mistaken. She always was and always will be number 1.

You guys need to stop portraying Nico as ready to murder anyone at any time like it’s some kind of joke to him. He’s a son of Hades who lost his sister. I really don’t think other people’s death are that funny to him.

why your sign is problematic

aries: can be insensitive and insulting. may hold a grudge and unearth past conflict even after you’ve apologized to each other. they know what is bad for them but do it anyway.

taurus: close minded when it comes to other people’s perspectives. also tend to have a victim complex and may contradict the standards they set for others. (ex. lie when they expect others to be honest)

gemini: quick to lie and manipulate others to reach their goals. if you prevent them from reaching said goal, be prepared to face a totally different person-a cold, spiteful one. they also complain about their problems for ages before they solve them.

cancer: cares too much about how others perceive them. they let their desires slip away because they can be too scared to act on them. sometimes they joke too much when it’s inappropriate for the situation at hand.

leo: they can be pretentious about insignificant things. (ex. want people to know they have THE BEST taste in shoes.) can be too prideful to ask for help and gossip too much.

virgo: another sign that always has to be right. can be critical of others but are mostly hard on themselves. like taurus, they can have a victim complex and refuse to look like the bad guy.

libra: too passive. although they are loving, they may be hesitant to step in and defend their partner for the sake of avoiding drama. though they would be very upset if their partner did the same.

scorpio: overly possessive. can easily become self centered. their head may remind them to be family oriented, but their heart may lead them astray in favor of a love interest. also portray themselves vastly differently infront of those they want to charm.

sagittarius: they care too much about everyone’s opinions. may ignore their morals in the moment in favor of impressing others. (ex. may mock others just to be funny/seek approval.)

capricorn: like leo, they are pretentious. they unironically believe they are the smartest and want you to notice. if you don’t, it’s because you’re too stupid to. care more about wealth than love. probably mansplainers.

aquarius: expect people to read their minds. they can be enamored with you or hate you and act the same way in either case. they either withhold their feelings or release them in intense bursts that others don’t understand.

pisces: may have a hard time separating reality from their idealized world. that’s not to say dreaming is bad, but certain ideas they uphold can be impractical. for example, they may be upset at the idea that not everyone can be friends and not everyone may like them.

Urban Spell Components

So, as an urban witch, I have a thing for weird spell components. Probably people have done this before, but i’m going to go ahead and throw mine out there. I’m going to try and do several of these.

First things simple, any small object can be enchanted to do anything you want it to. I have been known to grab small objects and just drop an enchantment on them cause i need a magical object right then and it’s what I have at hand. So don’t be afraid to grab anything you want and drop a blessing, curse, glamor, or basically any kind of spell you want on it.

Hell, my most popular post ever on this hellsite out of four blogs is a jinx using pennies. Make of that as you will.

Onwards.

Soda Tabs:

I mean, come on. It’s a tiny piece of metal. All the potential.

But more importantly, it’s a symbol. On the one hand, it represents a seal and on the other it represents a key.

Want to not just lock something up, but make it airtight, completely and utterly closed? Stick a tab in your spell.

Need a charm to open doors to you, to open people to you, to make friends more easily? Soda tab pendant, or in a mojo bag.

Want to release pressure, vent power, or make a magical bomb? What do we know that pops pressurized containers? Soda tabs.

In the more abstract sense, they’re associated with effervescense. Need to be more bubbly, more sparkly, more light and sweet? Work a tab into your spell as a symbol of releasing that into the world.

Want a variation and like the idea of provenance? Get one from a beer can and use it to symbolically relax your inhibitions so you can be more open to people, cut loose easier, and so on.

Bottle Caps

All that shit I just said about tabs? Conceivably, you could use that shit with a bottle cap. But you could also do a number of other shit.

Now, some y'all may notice I used a screw cap rather than a metal cap. That’s reasons.

Bottle caps make great curse anchors, for one simple reason that can be summed up in two words: “screw you.” Eh? Eh? Who doesn’t like a good pun in their magic?

You can use them to close things, true, but you can also use them as a valve. Ever had to open a soda slowly to release the pressure a little at a time? Now imagine using that as a component. Where the tab is a sudden release, the cap can be metered. There’s a host of reason to use it in that capacity.

Need a charm to help control your third eye? Crank it up or close it down with a bottle cap.

Bottle energy by filling a soda bottle with a charged medium and set it to slow release with a cap only partially sealed.

Need a charm like the soda tab to be open and effervescent, but don’t want it always on? Bottle cap.

And, of course, there’s the lovely little spikes on the damn things. Ever step on one? Yeouch.

Press into your palm if you’re doing an evil eye and want to transmit pain. Add to wards as a deterrent. Work it into curses as a literal stumbling point.

Want to take your sympathetic sacrifice to the next level? Stick one in your shoe for a day and use it to charge up an inconvenience or pain curse, or flip the script and use the pain as a sacrifice to pull down good luck, good fortune, or blessings by trading bad now for good later.

(This, as a sidenote, will work with anything uncomfortable in your shoe.)

Ballpoint Pens

Ok, so at the basic, you can write spells and draw sigils with them. Let’s get that out the way to start.

Moving right along, one of the other basic uses is as a stand in for a wand. The pen makes indelible marks, so it can be added into the casting to make a spell more durable.

But the real fun begins when you consider: it can be taken apart.

Want to banish something? Consider how fricken easy it is to lose a pen. Get a piece of paper and write what or who you want gone. Make it small, because the next thing you’re going to do is open the pen up and wrap that paper around the ink tube. Stick the whole thing back together. Let nature take its course, and when the pen is gone, so’s the issue.

(While I won’t tell you not to use this to banish things that can become someone else’s problem, this is best for things and people that you just want out of your life, not problems you want to pass along.)

And that ability to make scrolls has a thousand and one uses!

Make a lucky pen. Make a money pen, so every time you write a check or balance your books, you call money back to you.

Make a wand more potent. Make cheap and effective curse artillery. Curse that shit and set it loose, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Make a homing missile by writing a targeted spell in it and setting it loose to seek an approproiate target.

Make a whole bunch of lucky pens and cut them loose to bless everyone.

Make a pen to help you with your handwriting, spellcraft, and what not.

And that’s not even getting into blessing a pen so the ink can be used to draw temporary tattoos on your skin that have extra potency, or sigils that are primed for charging, or for magical vandalism. (Vandalize at your own risk.)

Go Wild!

So that’s it for this one. I'mm try and sit down and explain more of this shit that i do in the hopes that you fuckers get some use out of it.

Go forth and be magical!

Friendsheith

I’ve been thinking lately for a while after talking to multiple people over the past few months who REALLY love platonic content between shiro and keith but don’t enjoy or feel comfortable using the word “br0ganes” for whatever reasons they have that we really ought to have some kind of other term for this relationship available so it’s even more accessible.

so….SO. this is my Proposal guys, bc it has felt like there’s been a divide between “romance” and “brothers” where people who enjoy them purely as friends with a close platonic bond have nowhere to turn. no romance doesn’t always mean automatically family, but if it does for you then that’s absolutely okay.

IMPORTANT PREFACE:

this is not a commentary on any interpretations of this dynamic please don’t misunderstand this and turn it into that bc i just will not engage nor do i have time or energy for that lark. i’m trying offer something nice for a lot of people who i know are feeling this could be a good thing for us all.

this is intended to create a new platform for this dynamic, no drama will be acknowledged. if this suggestion doesn’t appeal to you, stick with the tags you have nobody is telling you what to do or control your fandom experience!!! Basically: interpret them however you want, that’s great enjoy yourselves.

Anyway, i’m rambling away but yea, i think we could open up some new and really exciting doors exploring their platonic dynamic in an environment that may attract people in a positive new way!!!

So here is my suggestion - take it or leave it, your choice - why don’t we take up the word “Friendsheith” as a tag that could be for strictly PLATONIC shiro & keith things?

  • it’s fun and silly!! it’s a dorky pun …. gotta love a pun hahah
  • it means exactly what it says quite literally there is no way it can cause any confusion: friendship + shiro + keith, very simple!
  • it could actually benefit everyone in different ways:
    • if you’re looking for brother au content / brotherly interpretations then it also makes it easier to find that content as platonic content will be tagged elsewhere
    • if you’re not looking for that or inherent familial nuances: you can find purely platonic shiro and keith content!
  • it would create a new bracket for shiro and keith that feels a little lacking in the fandom
  • no risk of crosstagging in any of the pre-existing tags as it’s one set word.
  • you could still blacklist sheith if you wanted to and it wouldn’t show up or be a bother.
  • clear separation between sheith & brother au so things are not tagged with both in the same post which can or might upset people
  • would start an entirely new tag for purely platonic exploration of this dynamic without polarising anyone in the fandom from content they want to engage with

i think there’s real potential in the fandom for this to be something that could spark up some fresh open content for these two devoid of tension between anybody.

  • if it’s not a word that you want to use, then this post probably isn’t for you - which is completely fine because you do you!!
  • Also, you still have the other two words to choose from and use in your content 8)
  • Win-win situation for everybody tbh in my opinion?

The only thing that could come from this is the prospect of even more content!! So… yes *drops mic* that’s my idea folks 🚀 🚀
