I just couldn’t get this damn AU off my mind, so here we are

I believe that hell lives inside people,
it’s the stabbing,
excruciating pain in your chest

The darkness that consumes your every waking moment,
The memories of a haunted past,

The Lost Special: The One Way to Tie Up Every Loose Thread

In the last month this corner of the Sherlock fandom has thrown out a multitude of ideas for a narrative that could potentially resolve every last inconsistency in Sherlock series 4. Not knowing it, this community has debated different readings – all perfectly valid with only minor holes in logic – but have missed how they might all fit together into an intricate puzzle, each reading validating the other.

I have found one way to connect every loose thread.

Topics resolved include:

– EMP Theory vs “TFP as John’s TAB”: why both readings are meant to be exposed to the viewer (but we just found them too early)
– Benedict’s insanely long monologue they mentioned him having in Series 4.
– How another episode would only be comprised of a few new scenes
– Mary’s character development drifting far from her original plotline
– Moffat’s Doctor Who narrative that includes Toby Jones as a Dream Lord and what that means for Amy in “Amy’s Choice” and Sherlock in The Lost Special.
– How POVs intertwine in TFP, and how TPLOSH inspired the way The Lost Special would end.
– The entire bizarre nature of Series 4
– Breaking the 4th Wall
– The focus in The Six Thatchers on “The Duplicate Man”, “Twins”, “Two places at once”, and “Dead AND alive”.
– Three Garridebs
– Benedict claiming “Love conquers all” while Steven Moffat facepalms.

So if you want to know the one way this could all work, check out the rest of this post. But hear me out until the end, suspend your disbelief until you’ve finished, because regardless of whether or not you believe we’re getting The Lost Special, this reading which combines everything we’ve talked about for the last year is definitely arguable and until something else gets proposed, it is the one I’m sticking with til the bitter end.

He shifts back and forth on his feet and tries to psych himself up. He can do this. He’s a badass werewolf, he can totally tell Stiles that they accidentally got werewolf married because—because Stiles was thinking about him, and happened to give him a token of his, uh, affection under the silvery light of the last full moon. Platonic affection, Derek thinks sourly, so he doesn’t get why his wolf feels all warm and fuzzy and bonded all of a sudden.

Honestly, it’s like—why aren’t people accidentally getting werewolf married all the time, if it happens this easily?

Derek didn’t look at all like Stiles expected. After all, he deliberately chose a school where being a nerd was cool, so he certainly wasn’t expecting his hotter-than-a-thousand-stars roomie to be an actual cool person. Derek has muscles, like everywhere, which he has a tendency to display in skin-tight, sleeveless t-shirts for bands Stiles has never heard of; his jeans are always tight and ripped too, and he has an impressive five-o’clock shadow, the tips of his jet-black hair dyed purple. And his eyes. Stiles is pretty sure he’s only seen eyes like that in comics, or on a movie screen, or in his freakin dreams. They’re somehow simultaneously all of the colors and none of them, transcending something so pedestrian and insignificant as words to encapsulate their beauty. Stiles would come to learn that he’s also wickedly smart, and he plays the guitar and speaks multiple languages, and his sunshine smile is even more alarming that his resting murder face.

Steel Blue: A Fractured Fairy Tale by FiccinDylan

(15/15 I 29,251 I Explicit I Sterek)

The real reason Stiles and Derek stopped sleeping with each other was because Stiles was the first to break the feelings dam. For Derek, love and sex were placed in two separate compartments, but for Stiles, love was 9chocolate and sex was peanut butter, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups were always his favorite candy.

He knew he’d fall head over heels in love with the wolf and he did. And he didn’t know if he could handle Derek not feeling the same way. So instead he agreed with Derek to remove chocolate, and add in the jelly of sarcasm and ribbing banter and jerking off alone.

It sucked.

But Stiles respected Derek and valued his friendship over everything else., he’d do anything for the wolf.

Oh, and he also just found out that he might have a twin brother that’s a porn star for Neckz&Throatz, but oddly… that’s the sidebar in this tale.

Kate Argent learns that Peter Hale has a letter, the contents of which, if known, would ruin her, and decides the best place to find it would be the hunting party arranged for the Whittemore-Martin engagement celebrations, but there are some issues with her plan, Peter has brought his nephew, the house is full of omega meaning everyone is watching everyone else, Lydia is not as happy with the engagement as her mother casting her eyes on someone else, her niece, who she’s meant to be chaperoning has eyes for a penniless Scottish Lord, and she’s not even sure that Peter brought the letter with him.

it actually does not surprise me one bit that Fitz didn’t wake up just because he and Simmons finally came face to face

and it has nothing to do with their love not being enough but everything to do with extenuating circumstances and manipulations

everything he feels for Simmons in the real world, he feels for Ophelia/AIDA in the framework - so think about it, if FitzSimmons is this undying unbreakable love connection in the real world, then it only makes sense that nothing would make Framework Fitz betray or abandon Ophelia inside the Framework - Fitz’s love is there, AIDA has only found a way to direct that towards herself and then add that in with a fake father relationship and having Fitz hear that father die and knowing Simmons did it, all of that would have ensured Fitz would never actually wake up for Simmons - AIDA has made Simmons a stranger, re-directed Fitz’s love, and put the father as an extra safe guard. Nothing short of Radcliffe shoving him through the backdoor would have worked.

Simmons may have been able to have a chance before, but the father was the extra safe guard and once that was triggered, there was no turning back.

and really, tbh, no one did truly wake up either, even Coulson and May didn’t wake up with memories but was rather simply woken up to Hydra’s crimes, and Mack definitely didn’t wake up - Fitz had no chance of waking up to Hydra’s crimes, not when his love is directed towards AIDA and not when Simmons just killed his father.

Remember this guy? The swooping evil? Of course you do, because he’s amazing (and I feel like he kind of epitomizes slytherins but that’s a different thing).

And remember when Newt squeezed its venom out and explained its properties? The fix-all for the movie was foreshadowed when Newt explained to Jacob that the Swooping Evil’s venom is a powerful memory wiper.

“That’s all fine, but what’s the point to this cheesy post?” You may be asking yourself. And I’m getting to that. Please be patient.

Newt says that the venom wipes bad memories. He doesn’t say anything about the good memories.

So when Jacob stepped into the magical thunderbird-swooping-venom-rain, he lost all the memories of magic that weren’t pleasant (like running from a sex-crazed erumpent, being taken away by MACUSA, watching Credence’s obscurus destroy NYC, etc).

He “woke up” with all his good memories intact, but there were numerous holes where the bad memories had been. Without his friends in front of him anymore, and with New York looking as normal as ever, he chalked it all up to dreams (as no-majs/muggles are apt to do).

This explains how he remembers Queenie and the beasts (new movie idea disney) and doesn’t question what an Occamy is (Newt slipped up a little in his letter) but can’t explain how he remembers them. In the next movies he’ll probably get all his memories back together and figure out it wasn’t a dream after all.

I don’t really have a snappy ending to this or whatever, but I hope you enjoyed my theory, anyway.

k bye

For their tenth birthday, Stiles had gotten Allison a mug from a kiosk at the mall with AREN’T YOU GLAD WE EVOLVED OUT OF NEIGHBORING CELLS on one side and a picture from their school trip to the zoo, the one where Allison was hitting a goat trying to eat Stiles’ shirt, on the other. It’s such a metaphor for their entire existence that Allison puts it on the mantle of every subsequent house that they live in, next to their parents’ wedding portrait.

Stiles and Allison are twins and it’s amazing. They’re both raised as hunters but it doesn’t stop them from falling in love with werewolves. ❤️❤️❤️

After two years as a deputy for the Beacon Hills Sheriff’s Department, not to mention a lifetime of being the kid of an officer of the law, Stiles had seen some things in his time. Some weird shit happened in Beacon Hills, really.

However, no amount of animals mauled in the woods, people going missing, psychotic teenagers going on killing sprees with their trained pet mountain lions (or so the official report stated; Stiles didn’t trust his dad’s account of that night back when he was in high school) could prepare Stiles for the sheer ‘what the hell?!’-ness of waking up at six in the morning for his shift, pouring himself a cup of coffee, and then noticing that outside the back window there was a little girl playing in his flower beds.

The Silent Fury by @andavs // @petals42 | stiles/derek | m | 31.7k |

Derek is about to leave, content with the smell of blood as proof that the Fury is dead when he hears it.

A heartbeat.

It’s faint and uneven and even with its help, it takes Derek a full minute of scanning the clearing before he finally spots the small heap that must be the human. It’s down on the far side of the canyon, almost completely hidden by a tall oak tree and–Derek jumps down before he thinks about it.

He knows what he has to do. Furies are dangerous. Furies are fire and smoke and a funeral he barely remembers. He lands almost silently and makes sure his hands are fully shifted into claws and then slowly moves forward.

This is the greatest au that I never knew I needed. I love Sterek, I love How to Train Your Dragon and this AU is perfect. Two great people collaborated and nothing short of greatness came of it.

The Man in the Snow by @mad-madam-m | stiles/derek | t | 15.8k

Derek finds a young man injured in a ravine on the border of his ranch. That’s strange enough, but the mystery only deepens when the young man wakes up without any memory of what he was doing out there.

Single parent Derek who is also alpha of his pack all wrapped up in a historical au and I was instantly smitten. Throw in some mystery and an alpha pack threatening and it’s great from beginning to end.

i feel you in every heartbeat by warlocks | stiles/derek | t | 4k

Suddenly his entire body felt tingly and sensitive and he could swear gravity had failed on him just then; he couldn’t feel the chair he was sitting on, or where he’d planted his feet on the floor, or the clothes he was wearing, or the pen he was holding, and then his vision started blurring and morphing into a picture of some place that was not his classroom.

“Oh, shi—”

“—it,” he finished with a different voice.

Or, the AU in which, on their 22nd birthday, a person will switch bodies with their soulmate and is left to figure out whom they’re temporarily inhabiting, and how to get back to each other. But because Stiles is Stiles, he forgets that it’s his birthday, and the bodyswap takes him by surprise.

Soulmate au that’s adorable in premise and in execution. It’s great. Stiles goes to a math final and forgets that he’s gonna be switching bodies with his soulmate because it’s his birthday. Alive Laura helps out and it’s a good use of misunderstandings in a fic and it doesn’t get overdone which is great

anonymous asked:

Hi, do you believe that Zeke truely cares for Eren, or do you think he'll end up manipulating him?

Well, does Zeke care about Eren?

No matter what way you look at it, Eren is the only family Zeke has left. We don’t know if Grisha’s parents are still alive, and Zeke basically lost his mother and father when he was seven years old, even if it was his own fault. Naturally, he would care about Eren.

Looking at it, Zeke knows exactly what Eren “has gone through”. He believes both of them have been brainwashed by Grisha at a young age and feels sympathy towards Eren.

However, this is where he is wrong. Eren has not been brainwashed. Since a young age, he was ambitious and stubborn, but had his goals and dreams clear in his mind. A mere scolding from Carla or Grisha wouldn’t tamper with his curiosity, as Grisha himself stated so. Even after receiving the Attack Titan and the Coordinate, AND remembering it in time of need 5 years later, Eren still followed his own path, wanted revenge for his mother even before Grisha and Shadis found him in the refugee camp, and continued to do so before he first used his Titan powers. The goal to reclaim Wall Maria and reach the Basement was the goal of humanity as a whole, and not just “brainwashing”.

What changes things is the recent discovery, plus the full access to Grisha’s memories. You can see how Eren has began to change. Letting his hair grow out like his father’s, referring to the Eldians as “compatriots”, speaking in an unusually polite matter like inside the cell (Chapter 87) after waking up from a memory of his father, and so on. You can tell how much Grisha’s past has influenced Eren, to the point of him growing out to be like his father. Of course, just letting that happen wouldn’t make for an interesting plot, and I’m sure Zeke will be the one person to notice this if anyone even does at all.

Overall, Eren wasn’t being “brainwashed” when he met Zeke, but after that he is being influenced, which I find very interesting. I think we can call agree that the Jaeger Reunion is one of the top things to look forward to in the coming future.

Would Zeke manipulate Eren? Not before clearing up everything I just explained. Zeke is the Warchief and an incredibly powerful, sadistic and ruthless Titan Shifter who has sworn loyalty to the Marley government. He may feel conflicted about attacking his own family and killing Eren for the sake of retrieving the Coordinate, but remember how many Survey Corps soldiers he massacred without feeling any remorse at all (apart from the pity due to the loss of the Paradis folks’ memories). I don’t think Zeke would just flat-out kill Eren the chance he gets, but after they have their talk and clear up anything that needs to be cleared up, I don’t think Zeke would hesitate to do something like that if it meant fulfilling his mission as a Warrior.
