Chocolate & Peanut Butter Cupcake by ‘Operation Icing’, at Wai Kika Moo Kau (Brighton).

“Operation Icing give 100% of their profits to to a charity so we can spread the vegan love whilst helping animal charities. Currently donating to Sea Shepherd, The Monkey Sanctuary, Raystede Animal Sanctuary and The East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service; as well as previously baking for fundraisers such as The Poppy Project, The Brighton Feminist Collective and Brighton Pro-Choice- offering Gluten Free Cupcakes and those baked with Fair Trade Products. Based within a restaurant at the North Laines, they also take orders to custom make cupcakes.”

If this isn’t a fantastic idea, whilst being majorly yummy and cruelty free- then I don’t know what is!

Brighton is full of quirky little vegetarian cafes and this place, the wonderfully named ‘Wai Kika Moo Kau’, is one of our favourites. Needing very little excuse to go out for a tasty meal, we went there for our 6-month-iversary and had a delicious mezze platter which includes a selection of hummus, falafels, beetroot, halloumi, pita, roasted vegetables… nom nom nom.
