What's the difference between tracing and using a reference? Can you help me just to clarify ?

Sure! By definition, to reference something means the use of a source of information in order to ascertain something.

As for tracing, it is to copy a drawing or design by tracing it. Which is vastly different from referencing.

This is an example of my work for school. If I have to design a plane hangar for WW2, I need to use references for information. These information/design do end up in my final work. But it’s all my art.

(it’s school work so i need the ugly watermark)

But, if I were to trace, it would be something like this

That’s why many (including me) think of tracing other people’s art as art theft.  Hope that clarifies things for you.

I feel like sorachi is just testing to see how much he could get away. destroying the fourth wall in the popularity poll arc? doing a whole arc where the protagonist has a sword up his ass? killing the shogun twice? giving zura a ponytail and then shooting him???¿? because if there ever is a line that he shouldn’t have crossed that’s the line you fucking gorilla
