“ Maybe there’s only a dark road up ahead, but you still have to believe and keep going. Believe that the stars will light your path, even a little bit. Come on, let’s go on a journey!” ( spring will be here soon )
Damon: Now let’s be clear, I don’t love Bonnie, okay? I just miss her when she’s not around, I think about her all the time and I imagine us one day running towards each other in slow motion and I’m wearing a brown suede vest.
The official Twitter account for the Yuki Yuna Is a Hero television anime series announced on Sunday that the anime is getting a second season in 2017. The sequel is titled Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Yūsha no Shō (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Hero Chapter).
(Note: the below video can’t be viewed in the U.S., Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and Germany.)
The anime will be a sequel the Yuki Yuna Is a Hero television anime, and will also adapt author Takahiro and illustrator BUNBUN’s illustrated novel series Washio Sumi wa Yūsha de Aru (Washio Sumi is a Hero).
The anime’s first half (six episodes) will be the adaptation of Washio Sumi wa Yūsha de Aru titled Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shō (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Washio Sumi Chapter). The anime will first have theatrical screenings in March 2017 before the anime airs on television.
Takahiro and BUNBUN launched the novel series in the June issue of Dengeki G’s Magazine in 2014. A four-panel manga spinoff with a total of 30 chapters is available to read online for free.
The official website for the anime had teased in June that MinatoSoft’s “Minato Damashii” event celebrating the company’s 10th anniversary will have two announcements related to the Yuki Yuna Is a Hero franchise. The event took place on Sunday. MinatoSoft developed two short PC visual novels based on the Yuki Yuna Is a Hero anime, which were bundled with the the first and sixth Japanese home video volumes of the anime in December 2014 and May 2015, respectively.
The event also announced a series of character songs, serialization on a new illustrated novel titled Nogi Sonoko wa Yūsha de Aru, and a new live event to be held in the future.
The first anime’s story takes place in the era of the gods, year 300. Yūna Yūki lives an ordinary life as a second year middle school student, but she’s also a member of the “Hero Club,” where club activities involve dealing with a mysterious being called “Vertex.”
The 12-episode anime series premiered in October 2014, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan. Ponycan USAreleased the anime in three Blu-ray Disc/DVD combo packs in North America in 2015.
Gochuumon wa Usagi desu ka? season 1 BD/DVD Box announced
Another announcement that I didn’t see coming, and in the middle of a Saturday night no less. Gochiusa season 1 Boxset comes out on December 21! Not much information about it yet, but if Kin-iro Mosaic box set is anything to go by, it might cost 20000 yen (~$200) or so. There will probably be some cool extras included, so I’m looking forward to it.
