You patted your hair down and straightened your skirt. Today was your first day on the job. You landed the summer intern job for the WWE and you were beyond excited. This was your dream!

Triple H had just finished showing you the ropes and you were grabbing lunch from the cafeteria when a voice behind you distracted you. “Hey there.”

You turned to see a man with short brown hair and piercing eyes. “Hey.” You said, softly.

“You new?”

“I’m an intern here, just for the summer.”

“You’re quite beautiful. Would you like to grab dinner tonight?”

“Sorry. I’m not interested in dating.” You replied.

That conversation happened three or four more times until Dean decided that the two of you just being friends was enough for him. Or so he acted like it was. The two of you actually began to grow pretty close. You learned a lot about Dean and he learned about you.

One night you were backstage at RAW, helping out. Wade Barrett had a match against The Miz, who he basically slaughtered. As Wade came backstage, you looked at him with a smile. “Good job, Wade.” You said, softly.

Wade leaned against the wall as he looked at you. “I know. Pretty great, aren’t I? I’m better at other things too.” He winked.

You blushed, biting your lip. “I bet you are.” You smirked.

“I’ll see you later, pretty girl. I’m gonna go shower.” Wade said, kissing your cheek before walking off. You were getting ready to go inform Daniel Bryan he was next up when a figure emerged from the darkness.

“So, not interested in dating?”

“Dean, what are you talking about?!”

“I saw you with Barrett! Flirting, laughing! What makes him so damned special?”

“I was just flirting, Dean. It’s no big deal.”

“Why won’t you flirt with me?” He asked, his eyes full of sorrow. “I’ve done everything I could to get you to notice me but I’m still your friend. I’m falling in love with, [Y/N], and you act like it’s no big deal to flirt with Wade bloody Barrett!”

You looked at Dean. You had no idea he felt that way about you. You suddenly felt sad. Sad that you ignored him these past few months. You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulling him into a kiss. You would never ignore him again.
