take what’s most precious in your life, that which you cling to so tightly, and surrender it to God.
or, if you’re like me and sometimes you just can’t, then come to Him anyway, holding it clutched close to your heart. sit with Him. After a while, His relentless love for you will slowly wrap itself around your heart instead, and you’ll see that truly He is the most precious thing of all.
This is the wharf at Wentworth falls lake in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. It’s one of my favourite places on earth. There’s something about sharing something so beautiful with someone you love that makes it more beautiful. Moments like this are best shared.
Tonight my prayer took the form of a type written letter to Jesus. I was incredibly honest on that little white sheet of paper. It’s so important to lay our hearts bare before our Maker and Saviour, where there is no condemnation but holy love and kindness and mercy.
