Portrait Of A Princess: Kirsten Dunst sits in character for the coveted cover of Vogue US September 2006 in which she pulls off a styled towering powder white wig whilst wearing an extravagant and very regal pink silk gown, created by famed costume designer Milena Canonero who worked on the whole wardrobe for the Sofia Coppola movie ‘Marie Antoinette’, of which this editorial is based on to celebrate the release. The spread was styled by Grace Coddington, and shot by Annie Leibovitz - and it had a kind of magical twist, as it was the first time in 25 years that anybody was authorised to photograph the Palace of Versailles for a magazine, making it extra special, and of course, extra exclusive.
