Professor Blair Satterfield (with HouMinn Practice partner Marc Swackhamer) teamed with VJAA | Vincent James Associates Architects and artist Diane Willow to win the Washington Avenue Bridge Plaza design competition in Minneapolis, MN.

HouMinn were part of the multidisciplinary team that won the two phase competition and the commission to complete the final design. The plaza location is known for its magnificent views of the Mississippi River, the Minneapolis skyline and its prominent position between Frank O. Gehry’s Weisman Art Museum and KPF’s Science Teaching Student Services Building.

The competition was sponsored by the Target Studio for Creative Collaboration at the Weisman Art Museum.
