Chunky Choc Chip Cookies

Chunky Choc Chip Cookies

I picked up this recipe from one of my fave bloggers Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup. I have to say it’s pretty straight forward to make and when these first come out of the oven they are a delicious, gooey mess… yum!

This recipe makes 12;

- 200g unsalted butter

- 300g caster sugar

- 1 large egg

- 275g self-raising flour

- 75g cocoa powder

- three BIG bars of chocolate (white, milk and dark)

July Wish List

Here are a few items I have my eye on this month. As I try more new skincare and make-up it heightens my passion to try even more and explore the way they are applied. This is my wish list.

The Pro Hygiene Collection Makeup Brush Cleaner | £9.00

Last month I mentioned that I was looking to expand my make-up brush collection as I try more foundations, BB/CC creams and skin tints. I can tell you that the three brushes I use on a regular basis have only been cleaned a handful of times. The whole point of using brushes to apply your make-up is because it is more hygienic and as such cleaning is a necessity. I spotted this cleaner on Vivianna Does Make-up’s video on brush cleaning.

Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi Electronic Foot File | £29.99

I hate that I want this, I have a pumice stone in the bathroom and I am just too lazy to use it. This is the first time that I have noticed my heels getting very dry, I have always been pretty good at looking after my heels - I do not like looking at other people’s dry heels, so I should keep mine in tip top shape.

LUSH Sesame Suntan Lotion | £15.00

I am really becoming a sucker for LUSH and i’ll put my hands up and say I am terrible with sunscreen. This is mainly because I have not found one that didn’t make me want to run for the shower as soon as I have applied it. Something really makes me want to try this, I just might buy it!

Whish Shave Crave | $20

When I received Whish’s Body Butter in my Birchbox this month, I immediately looked up the brand and the story of it’s creation has stuck with me ever since. You can read the story on their website, needless to say it really made me want to try it and I am so disappointed that it is really hard to buy _in certain scents_ in the UK.

Beauty Vloggers Favoritos

Favorite Beauty Vloggers: The British are Coming

It’s been a while since I did a roundup of my favorite beauty bloggers (last seen here), so I thought I’d better update you on my latest obsession: the Brits. Aside from their accents, which I find myself attempting to imitate at various points throughout the day, their tutorials and videos are killer … and now I want to take a vacation to London ASAP. Who wants to go with me?

  • Lily Pebbles: Lily’s product recommendations are always right up my alley, and her vlogs (she’s currently vlogging every day in May) make me feel like we’re real friends. Oh, and I want her entire wardrobe.
  • Vivianna Does Makeup: Anna is just a genuinely nice, happy person, and she makes beauty tutorials seem attainable. She has really stepped up her editing game in the new year, too. Did I mention she and Lily both have incredible blogs I read every day? Never miss a post.
  • Amelia Liana: Amelia is the girl next door; you’d want to be friends with her, and her laugh is so infectious. Her weekly vlogs are hilarious, and you find yourself wanting to take part in her many European adventures.
  • Hello October: Suzie, like Lily, has an incredible wardrobe I want to steal, and her monthly beauty favorites videos are ones I look forward to. Her vlogs are edited beautifully and are just a treat to watch.
  • I Covet Thee: Alix is a fellow pale gal, so I find whatever she recommends also looks great on me. She rocks a winged liner and red lip like nobody else, and I’ve found myself sporting looks inspired by her during evenings out.
  • Fleur DeForce: Fleur is the first British beauty blogger I was introduced to, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Her eye makeup is incredible, and her review videos are so concise and spot-on.

Now it’s your turn: Any British beauty bloggers I need to subscribe to on YouTube? Let me know in the comments below!

SUQQU Blend Color Eyeshadow 18 SAKURAORI tested by Anna, Vivianna Does Makeup

Anna, the award-winning blogger behind Vivianna Does Makeup features SUQQU Blend Color Eyeshadow in 18 SAKURAORI, a new palette from our Spring/Summer Collection.
She applied the bottom right copper pink shade all over her upper eyelids, which instantly created a flattering look.
She says,
“I really do like the finish of the shadow. (..) Very pretty palette and very nice formula. It’s quite sheeny & metallic, very easy to blend”
