visualisation meditation

Visualisation is incredibly useful in witchcraft as it is the base of energy work. From this, you can do all kinds of practices.

You can use visualisation for meditation, astral travel, sending energy into objects and many other things. These will all be covered in the future.

So, how do I start?

Here’s a basic exercise for you to practice. It’s very simple and many of you will probably be able to pick it up easily if you’ve already done visualition techniques!

1.  You’ll need a very quiet area where you’ll be comfortable. Even lying in bed and putting white noise in your headphones is useful. Get rid of all distractions, put your phone on silent etc.

2.  Close your eyes and empty your mind. Your mind might feel like a blank sheet of paper, and you’re going to create something in there.

3.  Picture an apple, any old apple. Zoom in and see its shape,  it’s colour. Does it have leaves, more than one colour? Look at every tiny detail of the apple you’ve created.

4.  Next, take a knife and cut this apple in half. Focus on the detail inside:  the colour, how many seeds there are etc. The more detail, the better.

5.  Now you use your senses. What the apple feels like, smells like. Bite into it and taste it. You’re using visualisation to not only see the apple but understand everything about it.

From this, you’re able to visualise and interact with objects in your mind. Practice often with anything you like!

The Law Of Attraction 101

The Basics - the reality we experience is created based on the dominant thoughts we hold in our minds - positive thoughts = positive life. This is where the saying “whatever we focus on grows” comes from - if we’re focused on what we love, our thoughts will be positive & the reality we experience will revolve around what we love.

Vibration - everything in the universe is vibrating at a certain frequency: people, animals, thoughts & feelings. Love is the highest vibrational frequency, when we want to experience a life we love - we need to raise our frequency to attract more love into our lives and distance ourselves from anything fear-based.

Attraction - we attract what we are. In this universe like attracts like - who & what we attract is determined by our vibrational frequency. If we are acting in a lower-vibrational manner, which revolves around fear, we will attract people, places and situations that reflect what we’re focusing on. See that everything & everyone is a reflection of who we are & what we’re focusing on.

Vision - we become what we think. Whatever the mind can conceive - we can achieve, if we think we are capable of greatness then we can achieve it. Building a clear mental picture of the life we want to live makes it much easier to create our reality - rather than just hoping things will change naturally. Vision boards, visualisation meditations and speaking about our visions with manifestation buddies is a great way to strengthen the mental image.

Intention - state what you want. To get anything we desire we must first set the intention, from getting a date to making more money - the intention is key. Once we’ve set the intention we can then start to assess the way we behave and adjust our actions based on what we want to attract into our lives.

Gratitude - when we are grateful for what we have we shift our focus toward what we love, which raises our frequency and brings us closer to the love vibration. Gratitude is also a great way for us to attract more of what we love into our lives because we’re sending a signal of abundance into the universe.

We have the power to create our reality.

Peace & positive vibes.

This is used often in spiritual practices to clear your head, help you understand thoughts, and to be focused. When you’re starting out in meditation, you need to understand how exactly to do it.

What meditation is:

  • Meditation dates back thousands of years, and was practiced as Yoga.
  • It developed in Buddhist India and Taoist China.
  • Indian sages used it as a path to self-salvation.
  • Meditation halls first opened in Japan and developed in the 8th Century.
  • Western forms of Yoga and meditation began in the 1960s.

What meditation isn’t:

  • Remember the Hollywood floating up with your legs crossed chanting ‘ohmmmm’?  That doesn’t work.
  • Meditation isn’t a hard journey you have to practice for years. You can get benefits from it from the start.
  • It isn’t a solution to every problem either. Go get the professional help you need.
  • Nor is it just for relaxation. You can use it for insight and concentration, or thinking about problems.
  • It’s not just for spiritual people. You can when stressed, or use it once or twice ever. Or maybe you just want to try it out a bit.

What do I do?

It’s not that hard, really! Here are the basic things you should be looking out for.

  • Your location. Going somewhere quiet and avoiding distractions.
  • Your position. There’s no need to sit up cross-legged, you could lie down in bed or even walk around.
  • Your breathing. If your mind begins to wander, always focus on steady, full breaths in and out.
  • Your thoughts. Don’t be thinking about what’s for dinner, you have to be able to clear your head of these.

How to stop thinking about things.

Your mind will often think about silly things, especially when you don’t want it to. You need your head to be a blank slate.

One thing to try is visualisation. You are a mountain, see yourself as one. All your thoughts are clouds floating by, and they are irrelevant. Push them away.

You have to figure out what’s irrelevant though. The goal when contemplating is for your mind to wander so you can figure things out. But, thinking about that girl you like or the homework you didn’t hand in two years ago probably won’t help.

If anything, you’ll get into the habit of whatever suits you during meditation. All it takes is a few tries to figure your own system out. Go try it!

6 Ways Visualisation Can Help You Manifest Your Dreams

To manifest the life you dream of you first need to create a clear mental image of what this life looks like. The process of visualisation is the beginning of the manifestation process - anything your mind can perceive, you can achieve.

1. Details - what does this life look like? What can you see, hear, smell, taste & touch in this ideal future you want to live in? How is it different to where you are now? What does each day look like? Writing down each sensation adds finer details to the overall picture - the physical act of taking something from your mind and bringing into your current reality starts the process of manifestation.

2. Emotions - how does your vision make you feel? Concentrate on how it would feel to live in the future you want to create, what else could give you the same feeling? For example if you feel a great sense of peace during the visualisation you could practice meditation or go into nature - aligning your actions with your vision speeds up the manifestation process.

3. Vision board - what inspires you? Building a vision board of pictures related to the life you want to create will help inspire you in your daily life during the process. If the beach is an integral part of your vision and you see it on your vision board every day it will serve as a reminder of what you’re trying to achieve. This can be particularly useful if your goal will take some time to achieve.

4. Meditation - harness the power of the mind. Sit with your eyes closed and let your mind wander - observe the thoughts that flow through you. Acknowledge any doubts around your ability to create the life you seek & counter each one with a positive affirmation. “I can have whatever I desire”, “I am worthy of the life I seek” & “I am creating the life I dream of” are powerful affirmations to use during meditation.

5. Use your voice - speak your reality into existence. Find a manifestation buddy or someone you trust and speak about your visions, exchange ideas & support each other through the process. This greatly helps with all manifestations because it allows you to bring ideas out of your head and into the now - words are vibrations, you can use them to align yourself with the reality you want to create.

6. Next steps - reverse engineer the goal. Perhaps the most important part of the visualisation process is working backwards from where you want to be to where you are now and understanding what you have to do to bridge the gap. Map out your actions over the course of days, weeks, months & years to help you create the life you dream of - having a map makes it a lot easier to get to your destination.

Anything the mind can perceive - we can achieve.

Peace & positive vibes.

So *What* It Be? The Power of Words...

In its most simple form, the phrase “So Mote It Be” contains the words a witch uses to seal a spell, and this is the definition most commonly given when asked. However the history of this phrase is far more complex and interesting. Used today in modern witchcraft practices, it casts the practitioner’s intention to the universe so that their will may be carried out via their magical workings. It is spoken right at the end of the spell or ritual, as a way of saying that magic has taken place and the intent has been cast.

However, in some of the earliest traditions, “mote” was integrated as a part of a sacred oath. This came about from the formation of a primitive type of court held in the forest, often beneath an Oak tree. The court itself was called the Mote and was pre-Hellenic in origin and seen in both pastoral England and Scotland. To take an oath before the Mote was to put your honour and your word on the line. Thus the original meaning behind saying “So Mote It Be” was the way of stating that the things you had said in front your peers of the Mote were true and honourable.

Taking this through into a magical circle, we can see how these ancient origins match up. By saying “So Mote It Be” at the end of a magical working, we are making these same affirmations. We are saying that we stand by the words we have spoken and that we have been true to our own personal code of honour. Thus the spell carried out becomes the practitioner’s oath to herself and to her Gods.

This is reinforced through the development of modern English, as by looking at the etymology of the word “Mote”, through the 14th century it was used as the common word for what is now said as “Must”. Thus we see again it shows the practitioner holding fast to their word. So Must It Be. The phrase has a ring of finality and authority. It ushers the practitioner’s intention into reality and manifestation in the physical realm.

This phrase lost its common usage and became hidden within the practices of Freemasonry for many years where it was used as a replacement for the more common ending of prayer, “Amen”. The Freemasons interpreted it as referring to will of the Christian God being brought into the physical plane. It was a way for them to remind themselves that they needed to reconcile themselves to will of their God.

The phrase was finally adopted by Gerald Gardner as words of power when he established a revival of witchcraft in the form of Wicca. He shed the freemason association with submission to a higher being, and brought it back to the original roots of being a phrase of personal authority.

When it is put in context with the full phrase; “As I Will It, So Mote It Be”, this change from the submissive freemason usage becomes even clearer. It becomes a linking phrase between the intentions of the practitioner and reality rather than the will of a deity. It is what brings the practitioner’s spell to life and creates a flow of magic in accord with the practitioner’s own will and their workings.

With this point made, it shows the importance of focus and intention in personal magical workings. Meditation, visualisation, clarity, focus and honour all play a part in creating magic. If a person’s will is not completely aligned with their workings, then no matter how fancy the spell may be, or carefully worded it is; whatever it is that they are working on will not have the same magical emphasis as if their whole focus had been behind it.

Hook up culture, sacred sensuality(sexuality), tantric sex, and womb healing.

The ‘marriage culture’ that we have come to know from our parents generation of failed partnerships, & no intimacy, is what was destructive. We know better now. We no longer have to marry out of cultural necessity, we actually get to CHOOSE now. That in itself is beautiful..

Hook up culture is the result of a psychologically afflicted generation, too bruised by the degradation of relationship values they’ve seen. We no longer honour the sanctity of union-ship. From music, to television, the marriage template is portrayed as stagnant, and Un-enjoyable. No sanctity of union ship, no desire to build a strong family unit = broken communities, weaker social ties & understanding of relationship (dynamics). We are heading toward a culture of several,'baby mothers’, and 'baby fathers’, with no family bonds, nor community practice. The fact that people come on Twitter and even make jokes/ memes, out of having, 'side chicks, and 'side guys’ is proof of desensitisation.

The holy trinity, mother + father + [=]child, (masculine and feminine energies combining to the highest essence of creation).. That’s love.

If people believed they would genuinely be loved, respected, and received if they entered a partnership, there would be no 'hook up culture’

Yes, (we) humanity may be collectively moving toward new ideals. But not ALL of these are progressive. Some are still born of trauma.

A generation that largely witnessed the break down of their parents marriages, (their mother’s lack of expression+ their fathers lack of enthusiasm), are inevitably going to view partnership with contempt, and something signifying entrapment, and passive acceptance.

The only true reason, you’ll want to be having sex with others without building emotional bonds, is because you are fearful of such intimacy. In your humble opinion, it is far easier to, 'mimic’ this form of closeness, as naturally, all humans require some level of social bonding. Sex, for many, is as close as it gets to love.

If you study sacred sexuality, you would know there can be no separation from intimacy, love and sex.

It has only become so, since those in power realised the manifestation power behind such sexual cultivation..
Keep people focused on the primal aspects of sex, and they remain trapped in ego consciousness.

You know you can actually cause trauma to a woman’s womb, and psyche, under the guise of a 'one night stand?’ Men awaken a portal within a woman after sexual intimacy. To then close that portal, or deny responsibility for all that awakens with it, is to prematurely stunt her energy formation. It causes trauma because it reduces her to her sexual organs, in terms of validity.

Women, and men experience sex a little differently.. Aside from tantric sex, and twin flame sex, that awakens awareness in both partners, generally, the process of sex is more physical for men, (unless they practice sacred sensuality), and the process for women, is largely emotional. During sex, a woman’s heart centre may be activated through stimulation of her breasts, (the heart centre/chakra sits right Inbetween), or through stimuli-station of the womb, which is thought to also ignite feelings of either safety/protection, or fear, and attack. It is not surprise that the womb is associated with feelings of love and comfort - this is the very place that houses in-coming souls.

The goal in tantric sex, is to allow both partners to transform their sexual energy, into creative, godly energy, (love). Through the pro-longing of the orgasm, the man trains himself to maintain this momentary glimpse of heaven, by involving not only his lower chakras, but moving from the lower centre, to the higher centres, therefore igniting kundalini awakening. - just think of the snake spiralling up the chakra system, making its way through to the top.
This process begins quite naturally in women after intercourse.. (Well, at least it tries to).

Woman, by nature is accustom to being nurturing and receptive. To making a home out of all she is given.
You cannot stir this process within her, and then force her to dismantle the alchemical transformation whilst it is in progress..
Biologically, at this point, she is awakening, (the true purpose of sex). Abandoning her afterward is equivalent to awakening a sleeping child, only to offer them a sleeping pill whilst they are finally adjusting to being awakened. The confusion of the natural process is damaging.

When you enter a woman, she has surrendered to you.. In turn, you owe her a duty, of succumbing to whatever arises within her.. Because at that point, it is an accumulation of both of your energies. She is experiencing not only her awakening, but stirring yours.

Her behaviour afterward will shine a light on all that you are. If she begins to act fearful, she is responding to a place of fear within you both. If she grows more loving and playful, she is reflecting this nature within yourself.. Listen and take heed.

Abstinence, and a prolonged period of celibacy is a good cure for women who have, in the past given their sexual power away in anyway. Sexual power can be given (taken)away in a magnitude of ways. People pleasers who use sex as a means to validate their desirability, are but one way sexual power may be given. In this case, the abuse is self inflicted, though very much as potent in its damaging effects.

In this absence, the woman should spend time honouring her womb, (rituals to celebrate moon cycles, and womb cycles), and learn of its divinity.

The self cleansing mechanisms of the vagina, will take care of the rest. Largely, it is a mental game of re-introducing harmony.

There are also forms of visualisation meditation that can see you through retrieving parts of your soul that were lost..

Visualisation part 2

This is continued from part 1 which you can find here!

In this lesson I’ll talk about an alternative visualisation technique as well as how to practice regularly. It’s especially helpful if you struggle with visualisation because of focus problems or mental health!

Have trouble visualising?

That’s okay, there’s ways around it!

@thesleepwalkingwitch has given me a great method to be able to meditate or cast spells without relying on having to visualise.

Here it is:

The first and most important thing to remember is that we have 5+ senses. Humans rely on sight the most, but there are so many more ways to experience the world- and you can apply this to meditation.

Forget trying to picture things. Try to feel things:  Imagine raindrops falling on every inch of your body, moving slowly from your head down to your toes; let the water cleanse you as it rolls off your skin, feel yourself purifying as you focus. If any type of sensory imagination is too hard, play some calming music in the background instead - let the rest of the world fade away as you absorb the music fully, listening to every note individually and as part of the whole. You can even try something like counting! Just start counting, out loud or in your head, up from 1 or down from 1000, and let that be the only thing that matters in the entire world - just the steady rhythm of the numbers, the way that they go on forever.

The whole idea is that it moves away from the focus of seeing things in your head, but still allows you to build up energy when concentrating on a goal like meditation or a spell.

How do I practice regularly?

Methods of visualisation can very easily be watered down in order to do them quickly or easily for practicing often.

  • You could try seeing or feeling your aura around you, or the energy moving through your body.
  • Even try closing your eyes when it’s sunny and recalling the feeling, the smell or sound of rain. Or the other way around! Feel the warm sun on you in the winter, or a cosy fire in your hands.

A good idea is to do this during meditation and to practice lots, as being able to visualise in some form is incredibly useful for energy manipulation. (That includes auras, shielding, centering and grounding etc.)

4 Manifestation Secrets You Need To Know

1. Intention - the most important part of manifesting anything into your life is the intention you set in the beginning. If happiness is your intention for these manifestations you will attract opportunities to experience happiness.

If your intention is to make others jealous - those opportunities will present themselves rather than those to experience happiness. Be clear about your intention and your manifestations will be in alignment with what you truly want.

2. Visualisation - being clear about exactly what you want your life to look like will help you to recognise signs that you are moving in the right direction. You can use visualisation techniques during your meditations or you can use a journal to create this vision of the future.

Be as detailed as you can - what will it feel like, look like, sound like, smell like to live in this future you’re trying to create? Speed up your process of manifestation by surrounding yourself with the people, places and things that align with this vision of your future.

3. Affirmations - powerful sentences that you repeat to yourself over the course of each day. These are most effective when you rephrase old ways of thinking that were stopping you from manifesting the life you dream of.

For example instead of saying “I never get what I want” try saying “I’m in the process of manifesting that which I’m seeking”. Our minds are immensely powerful - they manifest thoughts into things - but they do not discriminate on positive or negative things. Pay attention to what you are affirming to your mind.

4. Gratitude - another powerful tool in your arsenal will be using the phrase “thank you”. Thank the universe for what you have in your life right now and you will receive more of it because you are sending out the signal of abundance.

It is important to keep gratitude in mind whilst trying to manifest the future you desire. If we slip into the scarcity mindset which is “I don’t have what I want” then we attract more scarcity to us. Surround yourself with the things you love and you will attract things of a similar vibrational nature to you.

We are all magnets, but in this universe - like attracts like.

Peace & positive vibes.

I feel like saying that this dog park by the lake is my favourite place is an understatement. Whenever I do visualising meditations of a place, this is where I choose. Its really beautiful and calming, and theres dogs for the patting.

The clouds were doing that thing I love today and I practised some mindfulness with the surface of the water. The shapes and colours and rhythm of the disturbed water. Layla helped with that.

Depression And Witchcraft

I suffer from very major depression and anxiety so it makes it almost impossible to do magic at times or even sit down and visualise and meditate. I often go weeks without tending to my spirit family or doing other things as such and the feeling of having no energy and like I’m floating really frustrates me. Lately I’ve been researching into helping that problem disappear… even if its just for a little while… My medication also makes me a little drowsy and makes it difficult to tell if I have reached trance or not. Before trying these, go get a blood test as you could be low in B12. REMEMBER- MEDICAL FIRST OVER SPIRITUAL!!

So, What could help?

  1. Peppermint and green tea- I’ve been experimenting with this and it does lift me up to a certain degree. Just add the tea bag to boiling water for 4-5 minutes and you’re good.
  2. Swimming in a natural place like the ocean or river- (please check the council before using the area though as you could come across sharks or even the unwanted attention of reptilians or even chemicals or harmful bacteria and plant life) This really helps me out a lot and I feel energised after the swim. I go to a local swimming hole.
  3. Energy Vampirism- This does tie in with number 2 a little. You can draw energy from plants and even storms, from the earth and other people. If you’re not familiar with this and need some practise…. rest yourself for a little and notice the energies around you… this can feel kind of like a vibration or heat etc… or sometimes cold. Practise visualisation by drawing a white light into your body (this white light being the energies around you)… when you have this down you can use other things as mentioned. For fellow humans, simply hold your hands just inches away from another persons and fine tune yourself to their energy. You can also store the energy for later in objects.
  4. Drawing energy from a candle flame or fire. (pretty much the above)

What other methods would people like to add?

Focus - How to develop your Craft

One of the problems that a lot of people have coming to witchcraft, and something I struggle with still to this day, is a lack of focus. I don’t mean visualisation and meditation, I’m talking about the fact that witchcraft is not a single skill but a huge collection of different practices; divination by lot, scrying, natural magic, spirit work, trance, sigils, hedgecrossing, wortcunning, energy work, ritual, astrology, ceremonial magic etc. etc.  It can be daunting to realise just how much there is to learn, and to take on too much, too soon. If you set out to memorise the tarot, delve into trance and try to plant a half-acre herb garden in week one, you’re going to burn out fast. You’re also not going to achieve the results you want in any of these areas.

In any other craft, apprentices must practice the same repetitive steps before they move on to a new skill, sometimes for years before they master it. Just because magic makes some things easier, doesn’t mean learning witch crafts can be achieved instantly. There is no rush, you have years to learn these skills and it will take you years. Don’t set deadlines, just put in the hours.

  • Pick one practice you are naturally drawn towards. It might be one form of divination, working with tree spirits, traditional astrology, creating sigils etc, it doesn’t matter. Choose the skill that you desire to learn most passionately, the one you couldn’t imagine living without.
  • Seek training in that skill. It doesn’t have to be from another Witch. I’ve taken courses in Astrology, Tarot and Alchemy from practitioners for whom that is their sole specialisation. Look to other disciplines of the Occult. They have much to teach you.
  • If you are limited to book knowledge, read widely, be discerning and do the work. Reading 20 books on a subject doesn’t make you an expert if you’ve never tried the skills described therein.
  • Practice. Do the work, do it again, record your results, don’t give up when you fail. Work for yourself, work for others (for free at this point) try different methods, experiment, learn by doing.
  • Gain competency; the ability to do something successfully with some measure of efficiency. Read tarot without looking at the book, know which herb to use without having to look it up, identify Jupiter and Venus without using a star chart. You’ll know when you’re there because it will feel natural and automatic.
  • Take on another skill. Once you’ve gained the confidence of achieving competency in one area, you can probably take on a couple of new skills, although it helps if they’re not too similar (learning two forms of divination is like learning two languages at the same time - confusing.)
  • Rinse and repeat until you have a working knowledge and competency of several skills that together form your regular practice. Pat yourself on the back, most people never get this far.
  • Be humble. Competency is not mastering a skill. Don’t suddenly assume the mantle of an adept because you can do a few things passably well. Keep learning and developing those skills. Don’t even think about teaching them until you’ve been practicing for years and years.
  • Challenge yourself. There may be certain practices you’ve avoided out of fear, laziness or disinterest. Try something that pushes you harder, drags you out of your comfort zone. That is how you get beyond the beginner stuff.
  • Whenever you feel overwhelmed - too many books to read, too many divination tools, too many spells planned, too many jars of ingredients lining the shelves, bring it back to the basics. Focus on what you want to achieve and practice the skills that will get you there. Don’t be afraid to take a break from everything else to allow you to work on just one thing.
  • Breathe. You’ll get there, don’t worry too much. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re not a witch because you don’t do X. Your practice is yours to define, take pride in the effort you’ve put into it.

* Firstly I would just like to say that you should do your OWN research before coming to social networking sites to ask about the basics of Witchcraft.  I am happy to answer questions, but do get a little sick of answer basic questions when there is a whole Internet out there. There are so many websites and BOOKS on the subject, and they aren’t very hard to get a hold of! Here’s a post I made about my favourite books;

Anwyays, here we go; A list of questions i frequently get

Q - Can anyone be a Witch?

A - Yes! Regardless of Religion, skin colour, identity, blood line, etc. Magick is inside us all, you can chose to work with it if you wish! All it takes is a little practise.

Q - When can I start calling myself a witch?

A - There isn’t a specific time frame, but I’m not going to pretend that it doesn’t annoy me when a person goes and buys a crystal or something with a pentacle on it and then proclaims themselves a witch. Personally, i think you will know when you are a witch, you will feel your magick awaken and you will know. Owning tools, crystals, books, whatever, doesn’t make you a witch. The feeling inside is what makes you a  witch, you will know it when you feel it.

Q - What advice do you have for a beginner witch or someone new to the craft?

A - Don’t be afraid to try things out! Don’t worry about doing things ‘by the book’ or ‘perfectly’ there is no such thing as doing a spell right or wrong. Do it how you feel you should

Q - How do I get a familiar?

A- You don’t just acquire a familiar.  Your familiar will come when the time is right, and the same as you cannot go pick up any animal (your pet or other) and claim it as your familiar, you cannot force you familiar to appear. Deep meditation and visualisation are some ways you can try to find your familiar, but often, trying too hard will only fail. Just wait and see what happens!

Q - What items would you recommend for basic witchcraft?

A - Although you don’t NEED these items, they’re a great way to start. I would recommend you start with an Athame, Wand, Pentacle, Chalice, A heat proof bowl, Candles, Basic multi-use herbs like lavender, sage, Frankincense and sandalwood, and also clear quartz and amethyst.

Q - Does your astrological sign have any connection with your magick?

A - If you believe it does, or if you want to incorporate your sign into your magick - Yes

Q- Why do my spells not work sometimes?

A - Spells don’t always work because sometimes they don’t need too! The universe knows what you need and sometime it isn’t what you ask for.

Q - Which deity should I worship?

A - You do not need to worship one specific deity, But doing research is a great way to find a deity you feel drawn to or most connected with.

Q - What is this circle you speak of and how do I cast one?

A - The sacred circle is a space for you to perform your magick in! I won’t go into the lengthy details on casting it, but basically you envision a bright white sphere of protective energy around yourself and this is the time in which you call in the 4 quarters, the god and goddess and other deities to aid you in your work. ( see my post on a full circle casting ritual here >

Q - Should I be in a Coven or a solitary witch

A - Whatever you feel most comfortable doing! You do not have to be in a coven to be a witch, and you do not have to be completely solitary either - you can always invite a witchy friend over and do little rituals and spells together!

Q - Do I need to charge crystals? How can i do so?

A - You can charge crystals by burying them in salt or clean earth or by immersing them in fresh water from a lake or the ocean. The easiest and most common method is leaving them out in the moonlight to absorb the energies, same can be done with the sunlight but as harsh sunlight will fade a lot of crystals, the early morning rays are best

Q - Which crystals/herb/incense should I get for ____

A - this answer would be much better answered if you did your own research so that you could find a whole list of herbs and their attributes and work out what will work best for you.

* I will probably add more to this over time.
