vintage bedspread

We’ve just staged our spare bedroom with vintage furniture from my husband’s Grandmother (Nona) circa 1920 or thereabouts. The vintage bed spread is from Audrey Burrows and the quilt is one where I picked up the vintage top (30s/40s) at a yard sale and added a piano border to enlarge. It was then sandwiched and machine quilted ‘stitch in the ditch’. The Hope Chest off to the side belonged to our Aunt Leana and was left to our daughter Kim (Sewluvli). On the floor beside the bed is one of my hooked rugs.  I’m happy with the outcome … when we have time we’ll have to repaint. I’ve used the Sewing Cabinet purchased the other day as a side table. There are a few Granny Square Afghans on a chair in the corner, and I’ve been able to use some of the vintage embroidered linens that I have acquired over time. I now have to look for the right vintage night table lamp.
