villain-and-widow

Superheroes and supervillains have such awesome powers that we tend to think of them as perpetually youthful and strong. Chicago-based artist and illustrator Alex Solis (previously featured here) created a playful series of illustrations depicting superheroes and other beloved pop culture characters as super senior citizens.

Entitled Famous Oldies, these heroes may be old and wrinkly, but they clearly haven’t given up their crime-fighting, villainous, or adventuring ways. Sure, The Flash now uses a walker and Darth Vader wields his lightsaber as a cane, but we still wouldn’t want to get in their way.

Head over to Cargo Collective to check out all the Famous Oldies that Solis has create to date.

HYDRA CAP

my head hurts my eyes hurt my heart hurts my brain hurts i have to pee and my patience is about down to zero by now.

so, let me start from the beginning.

steve rogers, much more widely known as captain america, is a symbol for patriotism, hope, character development, justice, pride, fairness and a good man.

repeat after me marvel, a g o o d man - or do i have to yell that in your ears after this fvckfest.

let me nicely ask you before deadpool punches everyone in the face

how dare you

- no listen

HOW DARE YOU

turn a character built solely out of hope and love and determination to protect not only his country and loved ones, but the whole world, into an agent for hydra?!

do

not

glamorize

nazis.

I REPEAT

DO NOT GLAMORIZE SUCH A CULTURE AND THEIR SICK RULES.

LITERALLY THE FIRST ISSUE OF CAP HAD HIM PUNCHING HITLER IN THE FACE.

aaaaand there go 75 years of character development down the drain.

great job @marvel

fantastic.

if this is your idea of selling more comics and of a plot twist, then i have never been more disappointed in you.

you turned a hero for children, inspired by real people who fought in ww2, into this - this ridiculous attempt at making money.

what have you done to bucky barnes’ guardian angel, marvel?
