“This was the only thing I could think of to surprise you more than you’ve surprised me”

@nikiforoov‘s beautiful doodle of a freckly vitya has reminded me of viktor having freckles that dot the bridge of his nose and fan out to his cheeks. and how yuuri tries to kiss each and every one of them because they’re so precious and they appear so much more when viktor blushes brightly with happiness.

and i broke my heart in two (one for me, one for you)

Summary:

“Yes, Yuuri,” he says and moves to brush his lips across Yuuri’s temple.

He can’t bring himself to pull away yet. Pulling away would mean he’ll have to go back to his room and sleep alone knowing that a few floors down the man whose Words he has on his chest is asleep.

“I’ll be yours for as long you want me to be.”

A silence settles over them then and he wonders if Yuuri finally fell asleep but when he pulls away Yuuri is looking at him with the softest expression he’s ever seen and he finds himself hopelessly lost in those eyes. Yuuri reaches up after a moment and caresses his cheeks with a kind of reverence that leaves him breathless.

“Forever then,” Yuuri murmurs.

…

Or a soulmate au where they meet, Viktor’s immediately smitten, mistakes are made along the way and they discover that even though fate brought them together, love isn’t easy but oh is it worth it.

This looks like fun! So.... how about a steampunk AU mixed with Ghost AU and Law Enforcement AU?

Steampunk + Ghost + Law Enforcement
This is probably one of the scariest ficlets you’ll ever read from me. I love the vibes and the attention to detail, and I couldn’t help but tie everything together for a Jack the Ripper!ficlet.
Trigger warning - meticulous detail to murder, dare I say it’s somewhat artsy

the 3 AU Mix up challenge

Propped on a chair, a cello for the deranged, sat a man with nothing else but a scroll and four strings for his head and neck. His fingers curved over the descent of his armrests, and he sat quite patiently when Yuuri approached with blue, medical gloves. Hastily donned on and Yuuri’s glasses slipped and crashed against the floorboards of the theatre. The man before him had died probably a week ago, but his body was in mint-condition. Blood drained by two holes along the neck, arms, and staked through the hands.

The clothes were still dandy: collar freshly ironed, whether before or after it was wrapped the body before it was centered to where it sat today. No smell. If there was any, Yuuri would’ve smelled it as soon as Seung-Gil had opened the door to let him in. To inspect, to find the killer that would do such a thing to a loaner; who had been coming home early to kiss his wife and her pregnant belly, wishing the safe arrival of his child.

Here he sat, a testimony to time and to how far a killer would go for their art. A fine-tipped bow laid across his lap, and Yuuri plucked it. A sliver of dust rolled off the wood, and Yuuri plucked the C-G-D-A strings with his pinkie. The jostle of the strings against a cello’s neck told a story that he couldn’t quite understand yet. Why would someone take the time to behead and construct music upon the dead was beyond the understanding for a detective. But when Yuuri closed his eyes and dragged the bow across the open strings, he felt the faint echo of what created this contemporary masterpiece.

Viktor/Yuuri: 8 - After working for six hours straight, 29 - “You’re not nearly as smart as you think you are.”

Moments!Verse, because I love it!!!

“You had ten cups of coffee.”

“Yes,” Viktor replies, laying on the couch in his trailer.

“In the last six hours.”

“Yes.”

Yuuri looks at him. “Ten very large cups of coffee in a very short six hours. Vitya.”

“Yuuri,” he says, groaning. “I had to stay awake.”

“There are other ways of staying awake. Couldn’t you take naps? Aren’t you supposed to have breaks?”

“Yuuri we had an eight-hour window in which to do ten hours of work, and an hour and a half of that was taken up by setup.” Viktor groans again, rolling over to face the back of the couch. “I don’t feel good.”

“No shit,” Yuuri replies. “Have you eaten?” Silent, Viktor just burrows further into the couch cushions. “Vitya.”

“Yuuri.” He sounds grumpy. “I thought the coffee would be more effective if the food wasn’t interfering.”

“What?” Viktor’s making less sense than usual, so Yuuri looks around for a blanket in which to wrap him. “When was the last time you slept?”

The silence Yuuri’s question is met with is confirmation enough that Viktor’s either gotten a ridiculously small amount of sleep in the last few days, or none at all. He pulls a quilt out of a cupboard overhead. “Vitya, have you slept in the last forty-eight hours?”

There’s a muffled response, and Yuuri sighs. “You know, I don’t speak couch, Viktor. My Russian’s passable, you could try that. Or English. That’d be nice.”

“I took a nap,” Viktor says more clearly before hiding his face again. “Yesterday,” he mumbles into the cushion and Yuuri rolls his eyes.

“So you figured you’d stay up for who knows how long, drink coffee for six hours on an empty stomach, film scenes involving a heavy amount of movement, and come out okay on the other side?”

“It makes sense!” Viktor protests as Yuuri lays the quilt over him.

“You came up with this plan in the middle of the night, didn’t you?”

Viktor pulls the quilt over his shoulder. “It was a good plan,” he retorts weakly.

“Love,” Yuuri says, sighing, “we’ve discussed this. When you’re tired, you’re not nearly as smart as you think you are. Come on, I’ll take you home. We’ll get food on the way.”

Viktor makes a noise as Yuuri floats him out the door, but when he has the room he just curls up as best he can. Which is pretty entertaining, Yuuri thinks, since Viktor’s not used to being in the air and is clearly struggling with how best to pull his body into a ball. If Yuuri wasn’t holding him up, he’d probably end up upside down. When they’re finally in the car, he reclines against the seat, his cheek against the fabric as Yuuri magically buckles his seat belt. Turning the music up as loud as he dares, Yuuri lays another kiss on Viktor’s forehead before pulling out of the parking lot.

He’s asleep by the time Yuuri hits the main roads.

A short project snippet

12th of May, 1892 - Hasetsu

Viktor dabbed the back of his neck when he boarded off the train. The cloth stuck to his skin, soaked with the pheromones that bled from his scent glands. It was like a perfume, meant to be bottled and sold in a crystal bottle-neck if Viktor had been in the company of any other than the Omegas spilling out from the train compartment with him. Daises and sweet cinnamon from afternoon tea reminded Viktor of how comforting home was, and his fellow dynamic brought those senses of home unknowingly.

Neither here or there were they here to claim a mate. In that instance, Viktor felt more alone than he should’ve been. These Omegas were well enough without an Alpha and yet, Viktor boarded off the train. Feeling as if he needed one to feel complete. At least, that was what he was told.

inspired by swan lake and yuzuru hanyu’s gala skate (”Swan”)

this has been sitting in my inbox for over 4 months probably and anon, I haven’t stopped thinking about this :’))) over the past 4 months, I’ve watched the ballet, read the summaries, consulted my classical music enthusiast friends and finally drew some art while listening to the whole soundtrack

//I think I’ve seen some swan lake aus somewhere in the fandom! but nonetheless, I still had fun with these pieces <3 thank you anon and Tchaikovsky
