Parody Twitter account underscores just why Donald Trump’s Twitter habits are so alarming

  • Trump’s tweets have largely been viewed as a distraction from his message, with White House spokeswoman Kellyanne Conway on Monday calling the media coverage of each tweet an “obsession.”
  • But a biting new Twitter account shows why Trump’s tweets are hardly trivial missives that should be ignored by the press, per Conway’s insistence. Read more (6/5/17)

“He is. Not very discreetly might I add,” she notes, lips turning up in amusement.

Wanda peeks her head up from the yoga position she’s in and whistles. “Yup, not discreet at all.“

i imagine this taking place in a relatively early cycle when merle, like….was off doing merle things; iirc, taako doesn’t have THAT many deaths under his belt, so losing him was probably hard to get used to. i also headcanon that it wasn’t often that the taaco twins didn’t go down together. so. here’s this.

also do consider full-viewing; i overestimated how large the panels would look.

Looking at yourself in the mirror, you fix a stray hair and adjust your dress. “You look beautiful, Y/N” Natasha’s hands are cold on the warmed skin of your shoulders. You smile at her in the reflection of the mirror. “Barnes is a lucky guy” she says sincerely, her beautiful eyes locked on yours.

You cant help but shake your head and a small laugh escapes your mouth before you speak “pretty sure, I’m the lucky one Tasha”.

“You’re both lucky-” she moves a curl of your hair back in place “-to find such perfect love in this world” she smiles but you notice the sadness behind her words.

Turning around you take her into your arms, a strong loving embrace. Clearing your throat of the tears you murmur “I wonder how Bucky is doing” laughter dancing in your words.

Mount Roraima is located in eastern Venezuela, right on the border with Guyana and Brazil. It forms the highest peak of Guyana’s Highland Range at 9,220 feet. In the past, the mountain held special significance for the indigenous people that lived in the area. The Pemon and Kapon natives view the large mountain as the stump of a massive tree. They believe this tree once held all the fruit and vegetables of the world. However, their mythical wrong-doer, Makunaima, pushed the tree to the ground which led to a flood.

I’m glad they gave us Duet as an early episode. It exposed us to another side of the Cardassians we didn’t think existed. Those who regretted the Occupation. Those who could not stand what was happening. And even though Marritza did nothing back then, it exposed us to the terrible reality of the Occupation.

So far all we’ve seen is Garak’s evasiveness and some guile, and Gul Dukat’s self-important posturing. We see Cardassians as arrogant and ruthless monsters.

And there were those. There are those. But Duet gave us a chance to see that reconciliation and forgiveness aren’t impossible. And that not all Cardassians wanted what happened. We got to see the file clerk, the desk job man who was exposed to the harsh realities of the other side and couldn’t handle it.

I’m glad Duet was an early episode so we could get an overall, more rounded view of Cardassians.

Say that again; H.S.

“So how did your date turn out the other night?” Harry appears into my side view, still buttoning up his crisp, ironed-by-me chemise as he walks to stop beside me. I turn on my heel, bumping my hip into the marble countertop as I let a humourless chuckle flow past my lips.

“Disastrous. Catastrophic. I-never-ran-so-fast-in-my-life-short.” I laugh loudly, handing Harry the utensils for his dinner in a few hours. I pull on his shirt near his shoulder to straighten it before I lightly push at Harry’s chest to get him up and going – there wasn’t much time left.

“Couldn’t be that bad,” Harry starts off but pauses ever-so-subtle, “or can it?” he disappears from my view – hopefully to his large dinner table in his living room – elevating his voice so we could continue our conversation.

“Believe me. It really can be. Not that you ever experienced a hell like that.” Again, a chuckle passes my lips while I shake my head. A friend of Harry’s had set me up on this date and the male in question wasn’t that horrible, but our mind sets were so different I don’t think that could have ever worked out. I cut the date short after a comment that resembled ‘all women belong in the kitchen’ and sent the lad on his way.

“As if girls throwing them at my feet is something that’s so thrilling. Can’t even have a proper conversation like that. They only have one thing on their mind.” Harry appears back into my view to grab a few napkins on the edge of the table, already turning on his heel again.

“Not to start anything – but uh – you sound like a woman. All men are the same kinda shit? But reversed.” I stop my motions as an amused grin crawls onto my features, dropping the dessert spoons back on the marble and discarding them all together.

“I’m offended. You’re implying that I whine. I don’t whine, I complain that I can’t get laid.” Harry’s voice is still humorous as he ducks beside me to grab the dessert spoons off of the table, bumping his hip with mine to get me out of the way. “I still need glasses.”

“Harry come on, if you wanted loose sex, you’d have it in an instant.” I ignore his comment about the glasses but turn for the cabinet either way. Harry wasn’t someone you could just approach like you’d do while out clubbing, but that didn’t mean the boy couldn’t get lucky from time to time.

“I couldn’t even fix myself a proper date? Let alone find myself a one night stand. They don’t see me like that.” Harry mopes somewhere on the premises of his loft, but nowhere in my line of sight. I visibly roll my eyes – although he obviously can’t see that – all the while a scoff leaves my lips.

“Ah come on, Styles. You’re fuckable. Don’t complain.” I discard his nonsense almost directly. Sometimes I wonder if Harry realized how attractive he even was. He could come off as strong and confident but he was just as insecure as the rest of us – maybe even more than the rest of us.

“What did you just say?” Harry’s voice lowered, his movements stilling as his whole body turned in my direction. “I – never mind.” I mumble, feeling a blush creep onto my features from Harry’s intense stare. The confidence I had once possessed around had completely drained because of his whole aura, the demanding stare accompanied by that lopsided smirk of his.

“Say it again,” Harry demanded quietly, already making his way back up to me, a smile beginning to grow on his lips.

“You’re – well. Desirable. You damn well know that H.” I groan, not quite sure why he suddenly desired a confirmation of his good looks – let alone from me. I’m not sure how long it takes for any sound to pass between us. Harry had always been someone for a dramatic pause now and then.

“I didn’t know you thought about me that way, Y/n.” Harry’s smirk continues to grow as he discards the cutlery completely, slowly trailing towards his open kitchen, where I’m still gathering other utensils needed for Harry’s family dinner.

“I didn’t say I did. I was stating a well-known fact.” I awkwardly throw back at him, trying to maintain a grin of my own as I feel the ground underneath my feet heating rapidly.

“You sure?” He toys with me, his eyes twinkling underneath the dim lighting of his kitchen. He twirls around me, collecting the glasses I had gotten out of the cabinet one by one.

“Yeah…” I trail off, wondering to myself if I was indeed sure of my words. I keep my gaze trained on the expensive crystal instead of my best mate fluttering around me as if this wasn’t a conversation we weren’t supposed to have.

“Too bad.” I still in my movements, one of my hands curled around the stem of a wine glass as I balance my whole weight on my tippy toes. I try to speed-rake my mind about what intentions could have been behind those two simple, plain words, but come up rather empty-handed. Well, I was never someone who could rapidly come up with solutions anyway.

“Too – what? Why?” I come out of my trance, landing back onto my feet as I turn around, glass dangling in my hand which Harry happily plucks from between my fingers.

“I’d – I wouldn’t mind.” He winks and within a split second my cheeks are a fire-blazing red and my eyes are as wide as they can possibly get without popping.

I’m taking one step forward, towards Harry, but refrain from moving any further. I’m not sure if I’m reading his words as I’m supposed to, and I’m not ready to give into my urges if they are misplaced. Harry is a bit more confident than I am and closes the gap between us in just a matter of a few split seconds.

I’m pressed against the counter, my hands covering over Harry’s biceps as his own hands cup my face, keeping me in place. A little noise – what it was supposed to sound as, even I am not completely certain – leaves my lips and causes Harry to push himself even impossibly closer.

His hands wander, his lips staying locked with mine as my own mind seems to click. My hands rest on his firm biceps first, a few moments later letting them flow over his exposed arm towards his toned chest. I’m letting my fingers ghost up on his chest towards his neck when Harry’s hands cup my bum firmly, drawing a moan from my already parted lips.

“How much time do we still have?” Harry breathes against the skin of my neck. He technically forces me to open my eyes, which are immediately cast towards the clock on the far kitchen wall. “If we’re lucky, about forty-five minutes.”

“That’s all I need.” Harry chuckles as his arms snake around my body, hoisting me up into his arms. I just hope we’re not getting an unexpected visit.

How to deal with Ransomware

Yo, my guys. With the recent Ransomware scare, there is more need than ever to back up your computer data in the event of infection. Recently, it’s forced me to create a back up point for my computer, and it took a bit of digging. So hey, why not outline the relatively simple process here.

The reality is, Ransomware is extremely hard to deal with once you have it. And by extremely hard, I mean basically impossible. Your best bet is to just backup your stuff, and restore it all if you get infected.

Note: Make sure you read this through at least once before doing anything.

Quick background:

  • Ransomware is malware that will lock you out of your computer by encrypting all of your data. It will prompt you to pay them in exchange for the decryption key, however 9 times outta 10, the won’t actually decrypt your data. So never actually pay them.
  • This process will create, on an external hard drive, a copy of all your OS settings from your current computer. You can then use this to reformat your computer to it’s current point
  • Because of the way this malware spreads, it’s vital that you keep your backup disconnected. This means you shouldn’t use a second hard drive on your computer, or a network drive. Doesn’t matter where, just not on, until you need it, or the malware has passed on.

The process goes like this, for windows 10.

  1. Make sure you have an external hard drive, or USB plugged into your computer. Make sure the storage device you want to back up to has more free data than your normal hard drive has used data.
  2. Go to Control Panel
  3. Change the ‘View by’ field to 'large’ or 'small icons’
  4. Click 'File History’
  5. on the bottom left there should be a little shield with “System Image Backup” next to it. Click that
  6. On the left again, there should be a shield with “Create a System Image” next to it. Click that.
  7. A window will pop up asking you where you would like to save your back up. On the drop down menu labelled 'On a Hard Disk" find your external drive. Click it, then click next.
  8. The next page will ask you to select which drive you want to backup. By default the two you need to back up for this are selected. Just click next.
  9. Finally you’ll come to one last screen asking if you want to confirm your back up. Make sure that the two that show are the ones you’ve selected in the previous page. If so, click 'start backup’.

Now this should take a little while to complete. This will depends on whether you have an SSD, or a HDD and also how much data you’re backing up will influence it. if you’re worried it’s taking too long, give it an hour and come back. Failing that, you can always stop the back up.

Once completed you’ll be prompted to create a system repair disk. If you don’t have a USB or DVD with Windows 10 on it, this is something you should create. Otherwise, it’s not necessary.

Now, that you have a spare hard drive with your backed up data on it, make sure that you keep it in a safe place that it won’t get knocked around in. Hard Drives are quite fragile, and too hard a knock could kill it. Additionally, despite all this stuff on it, the drive is still a functional drive. It will now just have a folder in it with all the data. It’s not advised you use it, as it’s still susceptible to infection, but the option is there if you need it.

This image shows a collection of diatoms at a magnification of 200. Diatoms are aquatic, photosynthetic protists and are one of the simplest forms of phytoplankton. They are abundant in nearly every habitat where water is found – oceans, lakes, streams, mosses, soils and even the bark of trees. Nearly all diatoms are microscopic; cells range in size from about 2 microns to about 500 microns (0.5 mm), or about the width of a human hair.

Hello ^-^ May I request some angst imagines for Soldier, McCree, and Genji where they call on holovid to their S/O who is currently away on a mission because they miss them. They talk for a minute (cue mushy talk) and then their S/O gets shot by an enemy? Whether they live or die is up to you. ouo

A/N: Decided to only do Genji and Soldier since they were a little long, and I figured I could make things a little more angsty if I threw in a couple of everyone’s favorite Talon members. These are kind of sad, but hey, isn’t that the point of writing angst? Besides, there’s some weird sense of pride when you write something like this. There’s some blood mentions in the story, though I try not to go into gruesome detail.

Soldier 76:

76 let out a long groan as he slumped further into his chair. The amount of intelligence that Overwatch brought in was staggering, and he had foolishly volunteered to help sort through it. Even when he was Strike-Commander, he never much cared for paperwork, it was an unfortunate part of the job. He could feel his eyes glazing over as he stared at the pile of papers that covered his desk. He’d earned a quick break, if only to refresh his mind before jumping back into his work. The metallic visor detached with a satisfying click, 76 cracked a small smile as the warm air of his office caressed his skin.

The visor was certainly a useful tool, and did wonders for hiding who he once was from prying eyes, but it wasn’t designed with comfort in mind. 76 reached into his pocket, withdrawing a small rectangular device. The screen flashed to life with a touch of his finger, the simplistic UI leaving each icon plainly visible. His hand lingered above the icon for a video call, inwardly debating on whether or not to get in touch. You’d been sent on a mission, and personal calls back to base weren’t exactly frequent when in combat. There was the odd call between active duty, but the responsibilities one had in the field took priority over phoning home.

76 shook his head, knowing that he shouldn’t even consider calling, distractions could be fatal in this line of work. Sighing gently, he decided against his better instincts, tapping the icon to initiate a video call. The device rang for several seconds, before the screen flashed again, your face appearing before him.

“Hey you. Miss me already?” You joked, smiling warmly at the grizzled man on the other side of the screen. A splash of redness tinted 76′s cheeks, though an untrained eye would have difficulty spotting it.

“Just checking in, making sure everything’s going smoothly.” He spoke stoically, his gruff tone as even as ever.

“Things are looking good, I’d say we’ll be able to wrap up within a few days tops. Talon’s been unusually quiet, not that I’m complaining.” You relaxed your posture, slumping against a nearby wall.

“Glad to hear it. I take it that intel was off?”

“Seems that way. I’m honestly rather happy that we didn’t run into him.”

“Me too, but don’t let your guard down.” You smiled at each other. 76 was never terribly emotional, but he let you know that he cared in his own way. Subtle shifts in his tone or posture, the occasional praise, even a kiss now and again.

“I never do. When I get back, what do you say we-” A rattle from down the hall drew your attention away from your partner. “Hold on a second.” 76 nodded, his face wearing its usual stern expression. You disappeared from the device’s view, a roughly textured wall the only image 76 could see. A yelp peaked his attention, the screen still showing the wall you once laid against.

“Y/N? Are you okay? Answer me!” He could feel the fear rising in his throat as he awaited a reply. The silence was deafening, until the device was raised into the air by an unseen hand. The screen shifted from the wall, to focusing on your battered body held by a single clawed gauntlet.

“Hello Jack…” The anguished voice was all too familiar to 76, the venom lacing his old friend’s words was palpable, even through the call. “I see you’ve taken interest in someone a little… younger…” 76 winced as he watched Reaper’s hand tighten further around your throat, small traces of blood leaking over the ends of his claws.

“Let them go Reyes!” 76 roared, nearly snapping the device between his hands. Reaper’s grip continued to grow tighter, the blood covering his claws beginning to drip towards the ground. “Let them go goddammit!”

“I told you, I will get my revenge.” The expressionless mask stared into his very soul, thin black mist flowing from the openings. He could feel tears begin to roll down his cheeks as he watched you struggle, the iron grip of the reaper was inescapable.

“Jack… I love you…” You coughed out between ragged breaths, your throat felt as though it was going to burst into flames. The pressure Reaper exerted was unimaginable, his force overwhelming your senses.

“I love you so much…” He croaked. “I’m so sorry…”

“How touching.” Reaper sneered, tightening his grip around your neck, snapping it as though it were a twig. It took every ounce of self control 76 had to not cry out in anguish, he could at the very least deny Reaper the satisfaction of watching him break. Reaper discarded your body, placing the device on the ground to leave your corpse in perfect view of the camera. “I’ll be seeing you soon, Jack.”

“I’m so sorry…” He whimpered, his hands trailing the screen as he stared at your remains. His heart ached as he sobbed uncontrollably, apologizing over and over again. “I’m so sorry…”

Genji:

Genji stretched his arms high into the air as he pushed himself to his feet. Meditation certainly was relaxing, but his joints always felt a little stiff after an extended session. Normally he’d be able to fill some time in the day training with you, or at least relaxing near you. Since you were away on a mission, his day was rather open unless he wanted to spend every waking hour working on his form. A metallic sigh escaped his helmet, Genji found himself rather bored when he wasn’t able to spend time with you. Sure, Zenyatta was more than happy to spend time alongside his pupil, but he was hardly the life of the party. Anything outside of meditation or inward reflection was an alien concept to the enlightened Omnic.

If he was going to relax, he was at least going to do it somewhere with a view. Genji deftly scaled the walls of Watchpoint Gibraltar, making his way to the highest point of the Overwatch base. A small rooftop presented an exceptional view of the bay below, and interruptions this far off the beaten path were extremely rare. Genji had discovered the space during his original tenure with Overwatch before its collapse. Having somewhere to be alone was comforting when he was still adjusting to his cybernetic body. Though once he joined the reformed Overwatch and met you, the rooftop took on a different function.

Instead of somewhere Genji could retreat from the world, it became a space where he could share some quality time with you. A pair of bean bag chairs had been dragged up here by the youngest Shimada, and you were rather insistent that a small rug be placed between them. The metallic rooftop was far from inviting before you each cleaned it up a little, it was almost cozy now. Finding joy in the simpler things was something Genji used to be incapable of doing, but it was almost second nature when he was with you. Being able to take in such a gorgeous view alongside an equally as gorgeous partner was something he wouldn’t trade for the world.

Genji smiled as he settled into the green chair, withdrawing a communications device from his waist. You were away on a mission, sure, but you each tried to make time to talk to one another when you were apart. The device sprung to life as his fingers deftly tapped away at it, quickly opening a video call to your device. It rang for an instant, before your face appeared on the screen.

“I was just about to call you.” You laughed, smiling warmly at Genji.

“Sorry, I’m just a little too fast for you.” Genji chuckled, opening his helmet to reveal his rugged face. Scars from his mortal injuries at his brother’s hands lined his face, though you were adamant that they made him look sexy. “I thought you might miss this view.” Genji spun the device so that the camera faced the shining bay, the waves gently crashing against the rocks below.

“That is a nice view, but I think I prefer the one of you even more.” You playfully flirted, earning a smirk from Genji as he flipped the device back towards himself.

“I can’t blame you, green definitely looks good on me.” He joked, laughing alongside you. “I trust that everything is going smoothly?”

“Nothing I can’t handle, I learned from the best, after all.”

“That you did, but you’re not a cyborg ninja.”

“I like to think I’m pretty close.”

“I can agree with that.” You both laughed again, the relaxing dynamic between the two of you always did wonders when one of you was out in the field. It was hard to be stressed out about a mission when you were joking around together.

“Oh! That reminds me, I was-” A gunshot cut off your speech, a hole now present in your forehead. Genji felt his blood run cold as he watched you sit there wordlessly, your posture slumping backwards slowly, bracing itself against the wall. He was speechless as your eyes stared blankly into space, unblinking as blood began to trickle from the wound in your forehead. Genji stared in disbelief at what he had just witnessed, his love so callously taken from him, so suddenly ripped away. He didn’t know if he’d even processed the fact that you had died, or if he was simply too blinded by rage to feel anything.

The clack of high heels against tile were picked up by the microphone, Genji immediately recognized the sound. A blue arm reached down, pushing your body out of view, a large splatter of blood left on the wall where you once sat.

Adieu.” A thick French accent spoke, seeming to relish in the kill. “Life is so fleeting, isn’t it, Mr. Shimada?” The device was picked up by your assassin, the smooth face of Widowmaker appearing on the screen. “You should’ve joined us when you had the chance, a pity they had to be dragged into this.”

“I am going to kill you.” Genji coldly spoke, his eyes piercing through the device. The rage within him was almost uncontrollable, needing every piece of Zenyatta’s advice to stop himself from tearing the device in two.

“I am terrified, truly.” Widowmaker scoffed, discarding the device to the ground, the sound of her heels fading away. Genji shook as he stared at the screen, hurling it in the bay below. With or without Overwatch’s help, he was going to make sure Widowmaker’s last moments were spent in agonizing pain. He would be sure to recover your body, but mourning would have to wait until he avenged you.
