THE SOCIETY OF OCCULT JUSTICE: EST. 1871

Paranormal Investigator Jimmy Olsen stumbles upon a secret meeting of the Society of Occult Justice; a reimagining of the Justice League as a Victorian era conglomeration of occult and supernatural entities.

Members Include: Lady Diana of the Order of Hecate and her summoned Speed Demon, Doctor Victor Stone and his Modern Promethean, the vampiric Baron Wayne, The Green Spectre tethered to this mortal realm via enchanted ring, Lord Arthur of Innsmouth, and the shapeshifting Madame Raven.

Oh Batman: Europa, you and I had a good ride, far better than I thought you could deliver with your tiny amount of issues. I already talked about it, but since this was the big, hilarious finale, why not say more?

Let’s just go back on Bane’s ultimate evil plan for this series

Today was the 3rd and final day of the Summer 2015 Steel City Con.  Here’s just a very small sampling of the many wonderful cosplayers that were there.  As usual, let me know if you know anyone so that I can tag them!

Picture 1: Gwen Stacy from Spider-man, Ariel from the Little Mermaid, and a third costume that I can’t identify.  I see these cosplayers around a lot and they always look awesome! The Gwen was Panty at Tekko earlier this year!

Picture 2: Ariel again, this time with Ursula.  I loved the way she made Flotsam and Jetsam into a shawl! These two actually took first place in the teenage division of the costume contest!!

Picture 3: Honey from Ouran High School Host Club when he has a cavity! What a cutie!

Picture 4: Spider-Gwen from Marvel’s Spider-Gwen series

Picture 5: This was during the judging of the kid’s costume contest.  The Astrid took 1st, Emmitt took 2nd, and the yellow robot from 5 Nights at Freddy’s took 3rd.

Picture 6: Wonder Woman with some kick ass armor

Picture 7: The gaang from Avatar: the Last Airbender.  Their Aang’s head was actually shaved, that’s commitment!

Picture 8: All sorts of costumes getting lined up for the 18+ costume contest. I’m not even going to try to name everything in this one lol.

Picture 9: cpt-rum as Steven Rogers after a particularly rough day

Picture 10: darlingnerddoll as an incredddddible Effie Trinket.  All of those butterflies were hand painted, cut out, and then hand sewn together!!!

Picture 11: Along with picture 12, these were the top 10 costumes/groups in the adult division.

Picture 12: A giant group of Victorian-ish Batman villains with Alfred held prisoner

Picture 13: Bombshell Harley Quinn and a casual Poison Ivy

Picture 14: Suicide Squad Harley Quinn, someone from Mortal Combat (I think), and Axel from the Kingdom Hearts games

Picture 15: The Batman villain group’s insane car

Pictured: a promotional still from The Dark Jack Rises, basically.

4 Insane Conspiracy Theories That Need Their Own Movie

#4. “Spring-Heeled Jack Was the Victorian Batman”

The second most famous Jack on this list sprung (sorry) into existence in 1837, hand in hand with the Victorian era. A demonic figure clad in outlandish clothes and a dark, wing-like cape, Jack was a mysterious monster able to breathe blue fire and jump inhuman leaps. He became notorious for haunting travelers and particularly women, and over time he became something of an urban legend that is occasionally sighted even today. Jack has been theorized to be an extraterrestrial, a demonic entity, and everything in between.

Or, you know, he might just have been a Victorian superhero with a mischievous streak.
