The most amazing thing ever.

Before F4 came out, they arranged for Harlem to sing 情非得已. The theme song for Meteor Garden. Then the boys came out. They sang 流星雨 first. Followed by a super long touching speech from everyone. If I were to go into detail of the speech this would be pages and pages long. Finished off with 第一時間

Watching their genuinely happy smiles. WAtching the four stand together like that. Watching them talk about eachother like “what is 4years?” Watching them sing so beautifully. Everything is seriously beautiful. Everyone is beautiful.

Thank you Jiangsu. ;;

I never believed my world could have much perfection
Pain, loneliness, and also a little weariness
Prevent one from searching for people as one wishes
I enter into the zero degree of space
I prefer to be solitary, I am disinclined to think again of others

And whether or not two people together can attain a kind of comfort,
Throwing off the past and then forgetting everything.
I never thought that one day my ending would suddenly change completely
Who can grasp my two powerless arms?

Why am I crying? (Who is wrong? Who is right? For whom am I sorry?)
I will not cry again (Who is wrong? Who is right? For whom am I turning pale and sallow?)

Walking into the zero degree of space
I wait until everything splits apart
Even if love is dangerous
We face it together
It’s too late to guard against an unheard promise
How do you want me to learn to live a tomorrow with more love?

Walking out of the zero degree of space
At last, everything is split apart
Even if love is very exhausting
I will never regret it
I let go of all my defenses
Nothing matters any longer
Escaping a dark world
I begin a new tomorrow
A new tomorrow…

And whether or not two people together can attain a kind of comfort,

“I loved the violin when I was young. I was curious how an odd-shaped box can produce such lovely music. Hence, I took up violin. The skin on my fingers peeled, bled & eventually formed calluses. These excruciating process did give me the thought of giving up. However, as I slowly realized the hardship of playing the violin. I was too attached to abandon it. I have fallen in-love with it.

“I don’t know whether you’re referring to the violin or San Chai.”

“Of course it’s San Chai.”

The Fantasy Four Reunion

In the history of live action…

Before Gu Jun Pyo (Lee Min Ho, 2009)…

Before Domyoji Tsukasa (Matsumoto Jun, 2005),

There was Dao Ming Si (Jerry Yan, 2001).

I honestly believe that there’s not one person on the planet who doesn’t know what (or who) F4 is. In my book, there’s only 1 picture that comes to mind: Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Zhu and Vanness Wu in a frame.

I am not ashamed to admit that I was (or perhaps still am) a huge fan of Meteor Garden when it came out in the Philippines in 2003. Nope, I did not get to watch any of their concerts (sucker!), but I collected a few of their memorabilia – OST, bookmarks, pins, etc. Pffft!

With the huge success of Meteor Garden, a few other countries made their own adaptation of Yoko Kamio’s manga, Hana Yori Dango. I’ve seen Japan’s as well as Korea’s, and while I liked Lee Min Ho’s characterization of Gu Jun Pyo in Boys Over Flowers, in my personal opinion, nothing beats the original. I am quite open to my wild obsession admiration on the royal hotness that is Lee Min Ho (this account as a reference), but before he came into the picture, it was Jerry Yan who had the largest space in my playful heart. *puppy eyes*

January of this year, the original F4 had a reunion at Spring Festival Gala. (I refer to the Taiwanese F4 as the original because, let’s face it, the other versions wouldn’t have followed through if Meteor Garden did not cut it in the mainstream.) It was heartwarming to have seen them sharing the stage once again.  Fans, myself included, were very emotional and some of them even shed tears. Nostalgic scene it was! They all looked hot as though 12 years just flew by. (See xiaokhat’s Youtube channel to watch the video)

Many have been called F4. But in my heart, there can only be one.
