I think sometimes you can learn a lot about a person from their clothing choices, and I’ve always sorta wanted to make some fashion sets ^ ^ So I’m making one for the OC kids, starting with the eldest as usual, Yasha! (He’s probably pre-teen-ish around here, maybe, idk)
Yasha still more or less thinks of himself as a boy (when he can be bothered to think about it at all) but loves flowers, pastels, and anything soft and gentle (in harsh contrast to his blunt as a bludgeon personality). And most importantly, he kinda just really hates wearing pants and underwear, when he can get away with full nudity… He takes the young!Victor flower fairy aesthetic to the next level. He can be very picky about what he wears, and usually prefers expensive but relatively unknown specialty brands. His parents, especially Victor, are more than happy to indulge his tastes.
IF YOU ARE NEW TO THIS AU: It’s a Yuri!!! on Ice AU, Yuuri-centric with end-game polyamory in an ABO
setting, Yuuri gets married to four mates (Victor, Yurio, Phichit, Minami)
and they have OC kids.
So this is a project Michelle and I have worked on for the past few weeks. Obviously, she did pretty much all the legwork with the drawings, although the concepts are from both of us. Kind of like me doing a concept and her refining it, mostly. A bit funny how this got finished around the time when everybody started posting their stuff.
Left; A Kariian female. This one has her tail. May or may not be related to Sendak. Who knows.
Right; A Kariian male. This is Sendak, obviously.
Left; This is Kariian formal-wear; unisex, though this time being pictured on a female.
Right; Recolored version.
Left; A traditional outfit for mothers still tending to young kits, hence the very thin cover over their breasts. This outfit is meant to be very soft and comforting, while also convenient; a mother is able to lift the cover from their chest in order to breast-feed… Or just to let her kit stuff their face into her chest fluff. Beside her is a kit in its own outfit, one worn when they leave their home with their guardians. ( Obviously this one is very timid. )
Right; Casual-wear. Obviously this isn’t meant to trek outside the main city in, given the sleeveless nature. Just a fashionable outfit and nothing more. Nobles wear this outfit.
Left; Somewhat formal casual-wear for males, complete with a heavy jacket worn either just for fashion’s sake, or to provide warmth when going outside.
Right; Same outfit but without the jacket. A cover over the mouth is pretty much the equivalent to wearing a scarf, really. For aesthetics purpose, although it is also seen as a traditional choice in fashion, as there is some symbolism behind covering the mouth ( i.g, callbacks to feeding, mating bites, etc ).
Left; Zehn Khasik Hunters wear this outfit. This is a heavily-padded outfit worn when going out deep into Kariio 15-R wilderness to hunt game. The mask worn over the face is a carved Revuriar skull; it is thought that wearing these will ward them away, leaving Kariians to hunt in peace. This outfit blends perfectly into the snow and blizzard.
Right; Casual-wear, too common for nobles to bother wearing.
Confession: I am sitting here laughing so hard at my own fucking nonsense that I am gonna have to compose myself before writing a rambly artist note.
Will you even look at this.
Okay, so: This was a gag gift, you know it was a gag gift, obviously a very well-thought out one that took some planning, but the person who gave it was apparently unaware that while you can take the man out of Iowa, you cannot take the Iowa out of the man. Even if you manage to surgically excise every trace of Midwest, you’d STILL have someone who used to wear a purple miniskirt to work.
Last statement here is that if you’re new enough to Hawkeye that you don’t recognise the GOSH I LOVE ARROWS thing, I am going to give you the pleasure of Googe-Image-Searching it yourself. Enjoy! You’ve picked the right Avenger to love, you really have.
didn’t finish the drawing yet, kinda tired after yester.. today’s night drawing-recording session so the painting goes in a queue for tomorrow
But here’s the art process video for the digital painting, it has a different approach (and very messy sketching, I must admit). I really can’t add much comment here, except you just take the brush and like, paint? Srsly it’s just endless rendering and going back and forth until you’re happy with what you get. And a lot of color sampling.
What is good about the lineless painting, I can resize and fix proportions in progress without the need to redraw, as you can see I almost don’t use eraser; also, that handy little trick to fix her nose. The comic style process I posted previously requires way more solid artwork underneath, but still for me it’s much quicker than painting, requires less stuff to fix and less post-processing.
You can either fill out the formthat’s the first link here (which would be so much easier for me) or you can message me here or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org !! Whichever is best for you guys :D I’m pretty flexible <3
Even if you’re not interested in a commission I would really appreciate it if you guys reblogged this so more people can see! Thank you!
