💕So I fell in love with this little articulated chameleon today! Just look at his cute lil tail curl💕

Hello! I work for my school’s natural history collections so I understand all the laws and have all the permits I need to care for my dead things. This piece is not a personal collection piece, but the schools.

A view of the Tennessee Valley from the mountain side, with the storm approaching.

Today I took a hike along these cliff side slopes by following the animal trails there. I found a whole deer skeleton but could only manage to carry up the spike buck skull, jaws and some ribs and vertebra.

Another cool bonus was this cave I found!

But reaching that cave is on a very steep, lose shale slope that is too dangerous to take.

Some animals definitely live here on the slopes. I would imagine it would be very taxing on a body to thrive up here. There are trails and scat around of carnivores. I think bobats would really enjoy this habitat.

So I fully prepped, cleaned, and cataloged this frilled neck lizard myself! I even got his skin and cared for the bug colony he was placed in.

I could not be happier with how he is now.

A wild queer has appeared!

Figured I’d post a selfie since it’s TDOV.

Also to show ya’ll my new haircut.

In case any of my followers do not know, I identify as non-binary and use they/them/theirs pronouns. I dunno yet if I identify more as genderqueer or genderfluid. I’m still figuring things out.

btw, my necklace is a rattlesnake vertebra. How cool is that?

Sooo, that’s my face. Enjoy!

today I was bone hunting in the woods and I spotted the rib cage from a deer at the edge of a stream but I didn’t grab it bc I had a v heavy Quartz boulder in my backpack n I wanted to get home anyways I’m gna go get it tomorrow and I’m really hoping if I dig around the area I’ll find the rest of the deer and HOPEFULLY the skull but either way the vertebrae will be cool.
