“If you hand your credit or debit card to a merchant who is using a wireless point-of-sale (POS) device, you may want to later verify that the charge actually went through. A top vendor of POS skimmers ships devices that will print out “transaction approved” receipts, even though the machine is offline and is merely recording the customer’s card data and PIN for future fraudulent use.”
I am digital! Ok, I am kidding. I went with my owner to work today and was allowed to to do some reconfiguration of lab devices. Not sure if this is the first time a My Little Pony image has been displayed on Verifone credit card device. Also loading up Windows 3.11 on a P4 computer, just cause I want to see if it runs and how fast it works. Hope everypony is having a great day.
Did you give Square a heads-up that you were going to do what you did?
Verifone CEO Doug Bergeron:
I don’t know who our PR folks talked to or didn’t.
Verifone was trying to destroy Square’s business and they may or may not have given them the heads up beforehand. And if they did, it was not Bergeron or any executive at Verifone, it was their PR team.
Harrahs has some new ads driving around town thanks to @verifonemedia - have you seen them? One of these days I will gamble in my own city. #harrahs #client #VeriFone #verifonemedia #media #advertising #nola #NewOrleans
