VOICE WORKSHOP UPDATE Happening THIS Weekend!

// Since only one person would currently be able to make it due to last minute plans, I’m going to set the workshop for THIS WEEKEND. Friday, Saturday or Sunday.  So, if you guys know anyone who wants to learn a bit about Voice Acting and what it entails, send them my way!

Again, I am NOT a “famous” voice actor, but I do have some pretty cool credits and shows under my belt, such as

One Punch Man, Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans, Magi: Labyrinth of Magic, Toradora, The Asterisk War, The Seven Deadly Sins, Nagi Asu: Lull in the Sea, and Gargantia on the Verduous Planet.  I also have experience with actual voice-acting workshops, acting classes, and have some cool resources I’ll be sharing with people should they attend to help them go further should they decide to do so!

As of right now, the workshop is planned to be small, 4-6 people, and it will be held via Discord, so no pesky or painful Skype issues.  All you’ll need is a microphone and a Discord account, which is totally free I should add.  I’m planning on charging $30 for a three hour workshop (sent via Paypal).  That’s cheaper than most art commissions!  If we go over that time for this test workshop, lucky you, you get bonus time for the same price!

My goal will be to give each person some basic tips and tricks like…

  • Improving your acting!
  • How to build characters!
  • Accents you may want to practice!
  • How to get out of your head and focus!
  • Tips on improvisation!
  • How to pursue voice work as a career!

You’ll also have a chance to practice what you’ve learned during!

Remember that I am not a seasoned veteran, but I’ve spent years learning these things and honing my craft with people like Tony Oliver and Crispin Freeman, plus, I have actual in-the-booth experience!  My main goal is to try and pass on some of what I’ve learned to help people realize that they can do this if they really put their mind to it.  I also substitute teach as my primary mode of income, so I have classroom teaching experience as well.  And, hey, 30 bucks is pretty cheap for a fun session if nothing else! You won’t find it cheaper anywhere else (most classes are 5-10x this much), I promise you that much!

If this sounds like something you might want to do on a weekend, let me know!

Seats will be limited due to workshop cohesion, so talk to me soon!

So, if you guys know people who are interested in voice acting, or if you are  interested yourself, please feel free to reblog this post and get the word out, and send me an Ask or Message to let me know of your interest!
