As long as you don’t change your actions to the best of your abilities, you, explicitly YOU, are responsible for massive amounts of suffering and loss.
As people often say to vegans when confronted with changing their actions, ‘life is short and you only get one’. Now this message is absolutely correct, however the fact that you only have one life does not mean that you have the right to restrict and take the lives of others.
What I mean by all this is that animals only have one life too, and after they’re slaughtered, they don’t get to come back as the next cow waiting in line, each and every single one of these animals is an individual, and we are seeing to it that the only experiences they ever know in the only existence they are ever given, are suffering and loss, from start to finish.
Every person who consumes animal products is responsible for up to one life per day, that is one entire life stolen, and irreversibly sentenced to consist of nothing more than your worst nightmares, all for the sake of taste and convenience.
And this is the hardest part to come to terms with, those lives, every single one of those 365 per year, are on you, not the meat industry, explicitly YOU.
Please, realise that the process isn’t worth it! You can be healthier and more conscious of what you’re taking part in, you can have a new appreciation for food in that you know you’re doing the best you can for others, all you have to do is research!
Please consider it, we’re here to help if needs be ✌️🌱
The vegan diet uses no perennial cropland, making it a less
effective use of land than you might suspect.
Researchers found that the carrying capacity—the size of the population that can be supported indefinitely by the resources of an ecosystem—of the vegan diet is actually less substantial than two of the vegetarian diets and two out of the four omnivorous diets they studied.
Cody helped out at the vegan outreach table today. He was there to help inspire compassion for birds and all other critters! More and more people seem to be on board with choosing a cruelty-free diet. Very exciting!
It took me some extra time to reach the table because somebirdy got swarmed.
