I actually find it kind of insulting when I hear people say that Veganism is ‘white privilege’. Like, excuse me. I’m a brown person living in a third world country, and I’m doing absolutely fine (and eating cheaper meals actually, because meat is more expensive). You are completely excluding me and several thousands of other Indian vegans, not to mention all the other PoC just so you can portray veganism in a bad light. That’s really shitty, stop that.
On May 31st, for the first time in India we held a nation-wide march against speciesism. Vegans in seventeen cities across India held the march simultaneously to increase awareness about animal exploitation and how we can work towards putting an end to it. The pictures above are from the Chennai march.
there’s a mass amount of non-vegans erasing poc vegans saying that it’s a white trend (even tho veganism originated in India) etc and when the POC vegans of Twitter try to get a positive lil thing going y'all miss the entire fucking point
An NGO makes a video to show how the lives of stray dogs are.
The video was edited by World For All Animal Care & Adoptions, an NGO based in Mumbai (India),to make it look like that and, of course, any dog or any other animal wasn’t harmed in its implementation, the result is really shocking.
I’m trying out a new shampoo because my hair has been awful and dry recently. If any of you find yourselves in India, check out fabindia’s collection of shampoos/soaps/body lotions. Natural ingredients, plus they don’t test on animals (although you will have to watch out for honey in a few products, always check the ingredients).
