So now that it’s over I can finally show you guys the covers I did for the Watson Washington convention this year :D

I don’t think I’ve ever drawn this many faces properly together in one place D:

Thanks @sherlock-seattle for the opportunity, it was a lot of fun!

What is Lenfilm Holmes? I keep seeing it on my dash and some of the quotes are AMAZING, especially Lestrade calling out Watson on writing about policemen. Do you recommend it?

I’m thrilled that you asked because what I’m talking about is a Soviet series called The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson (Priklyucheniya Sherloka Kholmsa i Doktora Vatsona, studio Lenfilm 1979–1986), starring Vasily Livanov as Holmes and Vitaly Solomin as Watson, and it’s definitely

ever filmed in Russia. I love how the series is full of warmth and love of the original stories. Holmes and Watson are both wonderful, and don’t let me get started with Mrs Hudson! So yes, I warmly recommend you to watch it!

It’s available on Youtube with English subtitles!

Sherlock vs The Acquaintance (The Speckled Band for The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson 1979)

Look at that eyeball. There is nothing new under the sun, heh. Except Sherlock is drinking the eyeball beverage instead of John.

Thanks to @cosmoglaut for reminding me of this one.

Edited to add the entry: “Causal but agitated handling of firearms”.

Non-metaphorical guns should never be used to caress one’s head …

(Side note:  Love how TGG split Vatson into two - Sherlock gets to do the gun play, Watson gets to do the heaving bosom.)
