So it’s that time of the year again. My second Christmas in Tehran, away from the sparkly things, long lines and chaos. It doesn’t feel like Christmas at all and with super slow internet, it’s been hard getting my hands on sending out greetings to friends and colleagues.

Haajar, my nine year old one from Siah Kalaan, stands in front of a freight container that she shares with her 4 other family members. Since the earthquake, Haajar and her family have been living in between their half-ruined house and this freight container.
