Illustration based on The Catcher in the Rye, the book that saved mine and many other lives. Drawing Holden surprisingly calms me down tremendously. But I’m sure he’d just think I’m being a phony. #welp.

“When you’re dead, they really fix you up. I hope to hell when I do die somebody has sense enough to just dump me in the river or something. Anything except sticking me in a goddam cemetery. People coming and putting a bunch of flowers on your stomach on Sunday, and all that crap. Who wants flowers when you’re dead? Nobody.”

Yes, yes I’m still alive and fangirling dandy well, thank you very much. I’ve just been super busy with this, that and everything in between.

So lately I’ve been doing a lot of digital watercolor paintings at work and so finally when I did get the time to do some personal work, well… i had to draw a watercolor-ish Jessica dint I? (thanks to David Mack’s opening credits artwork which is super inspiring!) This was drawn in photoshop CS6 using a bamboo One.

Honestly though, marvel and netflix are making all my ‘perfect-female-superhero-tv-show’ dreams come true :’)
