Vans World Cup ended yesterday with a classic day at Sunset Beach. Now we’ve got a few down days before the final event in the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing begins. We checked in with Vans Surf’s Nathan Fletcher and his little dude Lazer who is learning to walk at the Vans team house on the North Shore. See more photos from the Vans team at VTCS, and check out the Vans World Cup highlights.
VANS WORLD CUP OF SURFING BEGINS TODAYAT SUNSET BEACH
Event #2 of the 31st Annual VANS TRIPLE CROWN OF SURFING
Nov. 24 - Dec. 6, Sunset Beach, North Shore, Oahu
The VANS World Cup of Surfing is underway at Sunset Beach, with the first round of competition hitting the waves. Wave face heights are around 8 feet, with occasionally bigger sets.
During the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing we have several weeks to spend on the North Shore of Oahu. With the contest only running a handful of those days, what else is there to do? Dane Gudauskas gives you his top 5 above. The guys also recently got a slack line for the team house. Everyone has been taking turns trying to learn, but it’s pretty obvious we’re not quite up to this speed. More picks from Dane tomorrow, tune in at 7:45Am HST/9:45AM PST for the next contest call.
