Skulduggery, would you really sacrifice the world to save Valkyrie?
Legally, I am required to say no. No, I would not sacrifice the world to save Valkyrie.
Completely off the record, I would most definitely sacrifice the world for Valkyrie. After all, it’s very hard for me to connect to the youth these days (i.e. make friends) so Valkyrie is all I have for the foreseeable future as far as companions go. Like an immortal dog. Who has a fantastic figure. A siren of dogs, if you will.
That being said, I’m not sure if Valkyrie would do the same. Actually, I take that response back–she would sacrifice the world for just about anything. For instance, she once dropped the last cheese snack on the ground and proceeded to mope for an hour, claiming she would do anything to be able to eat the cheese snack. I asked her if she would sacrifice the world for that cheese snack, and she looked me in the eye sockets, grave and serious, and nodded.
All jokes aside, Valkyrie is a fundamentally good person. She wants to be good. I’m not sure I can say the same. The world, however, I know for a fact has no qualms with ruining itself; the world is a bad, bad place, one that has never shown me any kindness.
Valkyrie, on the other hand, bought me a hotdog once because she forgot I have no esophagus and thought I would want to try one with her.
I’ve tried to record this like six billion times, but that has done absolutely nothing whatsoever, so I’m just going to post the lyrics here anyway. The Skulduggery Pleasant version of “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?”, taking place after LSODM that way it makes you all really sad.
So you're going to comic con! Yay! Will you be there at all on Thursday and Sunday? Unfortunately I have no Friday pass and will be spending all day (until about 6:30 or so) on Saturday queuing for the Marvel panel, and I thought I heard something about you only being there Friday and Saturday? But my friend and I really wanted to stop by to see you (and Matt!) Will you guys be at one of the booths in the exhibition center when you're not doing panels? Thank you!!
I’m sorry – I arrive Friday morning and leave Saturday night. You could come to the Carol Corps Meet Up Friday at 2, maybe? No badge required.
