“Your men call Val a princess, but to the free folk she is only the sister of their king’s dead wife. If you force her to marry a man she does not want, she is like to slit his throat on their wedding night.” … They are all convinced she is a princess. Val looked the part and rode as if she had been born on horseback. A warrior princess, he decided, not some willowy creature who sits up in a tower, brushing her hair and waiting for some knight to rescue her. (A Dance with Dragons)

alright, i’ve been pissed for a while now.

i’m the known resident taylor swift girl since high school and now in college, but for some reason, people think that that’s a way to get me angry and a way to pick fight with me. like i’m weak and i won’t defend my girl who has been on my side for nearly nearly ten years.

a woman who has been successful beyond measure, who has broken her own records, who has been nothing but strong and kind to everyone around her, from when she was dubbed america’s sweetheart to america’s snake. it strikes me as so absolutely insane for taylor to be such a target for all this hate when she has never shown anyone any. and when people call themselves feminists but hate on her like it’s their job even though they supposedly don’t care? it’s so hypocrytical. it’s tiring for me, and i can’t even imagine how taylor has handled it so gracefully all these years. i don’t understand how people can think that artists can’t coexist and be the amazing successes that they are; they always have to be pinned against each other.

don’t people realize, that like their favorite artists, taylor is human? she’s made mistakes and has admitted to them but she still gets thrown under the bus over and over again. people connect her to things or other people she has had nothing to do with. she is a woman who has achieved her dream and she keeps getting demeaned for it?! she has worked SO hard, giving her demos to record companies since she was 13-14 years old and has always written her own music. she knew EXACTLY what she wanted in life and no one could stop her, no matter what she was told. she is an amazing role model, and yet people want to tear her down because she is that kind and that graceful? nice people exist, you know. maybe you don’t like her because you’re not one of them.

i’m so tired of swifties constantly getting attacked too. i don’t like the music of one direction or shawn mendez, for example. but do i run a hate blog, do i comment “die slut” under their videos or social media? NO. because you are entitled to your own opinion, but you are not entitled to demeaning someone’s favorite artist, because you, as one person out of billions, do not like that artist. have some respect.

and as for all the political stuff that taylor hasn’t talked about: she won’t, because as people don’t seem to understand, she will get trashed for it one way or another. “she doesn’t support this” or “she said this so that must mean this.” even though she has a widespread platform, she has never had a tolerance for hate, and that should be more than enough for you to know where she stands in that aspect.

if you read this, thank you. i’m honestly tired but if taylor is unbothered, i will be too.

Season 24 Week 10 Finale Night 2 - Bloopers

anonymous asked:

Do normani & val. Friendship/relationship. Reunited in the future and both are hanging out and catching up as well as working together on a dance routine. Both are close friends, however feelings start to develop. She's a new solo artist anxious to kick off her own career. Thanks!

“normani kordei,” val says as he enters the dance studio, smile on his face as he recognizes the singer standing in the middle of the room. “my my, it has been a while, hasn’t it?”

“val,” is all normani says before running up to him and wrapping her arms around his neck in a hug. his arms fall around her waist and he hugs her back, lifting her up in the air and spinning around, to which she squeals, only to laugh when she’s back on the ground again.

“what are you doing here?” she asks.

“i was hired as a backup dancer for your performance,” val says. “as per request.”

“but i didn’t–” normani says confusedly, before realizing that her manager must have arranged this. “oh, i’m gonna get him.” val laughs. “you should have called me!”

“he said it had to be a surprise!” val says. normani smiles.

“okay,” she says. “you’re forgiven.” val smiles as well before the two join the other dancers and choreographer in the center of the room.

rehearsals go on for weeks before normani’s solo debut occurs on the stage of the american music awards. she and val instantly return to their old ways, acting exactly as they did back when they were a team on dancing with the stars. the other dancers can see the strong chemistry between the two, hence why val was designated the lead, or the dancer normani would be singing to for most of the performance.

throughout rehearsals, she maintains a positive energy, but when the night of the awards comes around, that begins to fall apart.

“what if i’m not good enough?” normani asks, pacing the backstage area just minutes before she’s set to go on stage. “what if i’m not ready? what if people don’t like me as a solo artist? what if the band should have stuck together? what if–?”

“babe,” val says, stepping in front of her, forcing her to stop pacing. he takes her head in his hands, forcing her to look up at him, right into his eyes. “you’re going to be fine. we’ve rehearsed this for weeks - you’re going to nail it. and who cares if some people don’t like it? haters can go fuck themselves.” normani smiles.

“thanks, val,” she says. “i really needed that.” val smiles as well, pressing a kiss to her forehead - just like he used to do way back when.

“two minutes,” a stage manager tells them.

“you ready?” val asks, hands back down at his sides

“yeah,” normani says, reaching over and taking val’s hand in hers. “i’m ready.”

the performance goes by in a blur. normani can hardly remember any of it by the time she gets off stage, but she does know that her face is starting to hurt from smiling so much, so she can assume it went well.

when everyone’s backstage, she and val meet each other’s eyes, and she can’t help the squeal she lets out.

“that was amazing!” she exclaims, jumping up and pulling him into a tight hug. he returns the favor, lifting her off the ground just like he had done at that first rehearsal. again, she laughs when she’s back on her own two feet.

you were amazing,” he corrects her. she smiles, blushing.

“back at ya,” she says. val smiles - a certain something gleaming in his eyes that normani’s never noticed before. before she can comment on it, though, her mouth is occupied as he presses his lips to hers. all she can do is smile and return his kiss, arms sliding back around his neck as though they belong there, his arms falling to her waist, pulling her in closer.

she lets out a small gasp as she catches her breath when they pull away, staring at each other. they’re silent for a moment, eyes wide as they realize what just happened.

“um,” normani begins.

“sorry?” val says, not sure why the word comes out sounding like a question.

“no,” normani says simply, shaking her head. “don’t ever apologize.” she leans back in to kiss him again, and this time, he meets her halfway.

E! Live from the Red Carpet | Is Laurie Hernandez the Toughest “DWTS” Competitor?

Cassandra: Delton? What in the Maker’s name are you…?!

Delton:  Hmm? Oh, is there a problem, Seeker?

Cassandra: You… You did this on purpose, didn’t you? You do realise we are standing before a Reverend Mother of the Chantry!

Delton: Whoa, hang on - you were the one who told me to make the Inquisition look good! Well, I’m a member of the Inquisition, and frankly, I look damn good.

Cassandra: Good? You stripped naked, rolled in mud, shaved a druffalo, and then put on a scarf!

Delton: Hey, I rolled the scarf in mud too, thank you very much. I think it really brings the whole outfit together.

Cassandra: (muttering) Maker preserve me…

Delton: So, which of us is going to go convince the Lord Seeker to join the cause, huh? I vote you. I might distract him too much from the Herald’s noble plight.

Cassandra: That… may be the first intelligent thing you have said since I met you.

Delton: Ouch, Seeker. Ouch. Okay, fine – I know when I’m not wanted. I’ll just be over here. Lounging by the fountain. Making the Inquisition look good.

Cassandra: [Disgusted noise]

Delton: You’re welcome.
