Yeeeeah. I bought into the low-fat craze at one point in my teen years. I did try to eat more whole grains and veggies during that time, but I still ate and drank WAY too much sugar. It’s amazing how much of a difference cutting it out or even just cutting back on sugar can make to one’s physical health and cognitive ability. It’s almost as if it’s a dangerous addictive substance that we’ve all been trained to crave even though it can lead to health problems in excess! And it’s in almost everything these days, especially as High Fructose Corn Syrup, so most of us get it in excess without realizing it.
