using an online photoshop

Last year I had some scheduling issues, long story short pretty much everything worked out but I got stuck taking this photoshop class that was an absolute joke. Luckily two of my best friends were in that class so it was bearable, but man so much stupid crap happened in that class. The teacher would look up photoshop tutorials online then read them to us as we all copied his example project on the projector. He had this weird accent and always mispronounced words, he would say “pitcher” instead of picture and “ee-mage” instead of image. He also graded projects by rolling dice and randomly assigning grades.

Because of this, I had no respect for this teacher. I would talk really loudly on purpose, and of course I was with my best friends so we were always laughing anyway, and it pissed our teacher off so much. He was annoyed by all of us but he hated me especially. We would finish assignments within the first ten minutes of class so then we would plug all our keyboards into one computer and play this computer version of super smash bros. I also made a bingo board in photoshop with all the spaces being stupid stuff our teacher always said or did, emailed copies to my friends and we would have it open in a separate tab in photoshop and play it during class each day. One time we had a lockdown drill and our teacher didn’t even make us turn off the computers or hide or anything, and my friends and I were trying so hard not to laugh in this dead quiet, dark room, and not being able to laugh made it even harder to try to stay quiet. We also had to make these projects for our final using some horrible software from the 90’s or something, it was ridiculous because our computers had illustrator installed but did we use the industry standard, professional software? Nope, we used weird old software that even grade schoolers could likely understand, and we had to make our “dream house” using this software. It was basically like a shitty morph between MTV welcome to my crib and a bad powerpoint presentation.

That teacher hates my guts now. I saw him in the hallway before school one time and he said good morning to me in a really angry tone while glaring at me. Another time I came into orchestra late from a doctor’s appointment and he was the substitute. He took one look at me and just started laughing. Lol I hate him but my friends and I have some great memories of all the crap we pulled.

Just a little question (or several questions, actually). - Who's your BlackPink bias? - Will you make the Jisoo Hair V3? (btw, i looooove the Jisoo's Ómbre) - Your Tumblr Icon, is it made only on Photoshop? If not, what app did you used?

1). Jennie, obvi

2). Well there probably wont be more Jisoo hairs but other hairs work with the ombre, and I am going to try to make a hair based off Jisoo from AIIYL video

3). Yeah I only used photoshop, but there are free versions you can find online if u don’t wanna throw out the cash.

Coscards creation tutorial!

Cosplay business cards or ‘coscards’ are extremely handy for those who hate the awkward hassle of 'take my cellphone and add me on FB’ thing. Also, easier to network and to get your name out there for both cosplayers and photographers!

These are some suggestions/templates for your coscards.

Just like any other business cards.
DOs:
- simple, clean
- readable text; basic and simple ones are best like Century Gothic
- state name/alias clearly
- keep your info compact and straight to the point
- use social media icons if you desire
- (Photoshop specific): use stroke for letters
- borders for flat bgs if desired
- pastel/light colors are usually better
- put your info in a corner if overlaying on an image

DON'Ts:
- clutter; don’t have too many words or pictures
- overly bright colors
- curly/calligraphy text
- overly large text
- cover your image especially faces with text
- put entire URLs/links (username on specified site is sufficient)

For the first example, here’s my sample:

For second example, I personally suggest photographers to use this format instead of the other two.

Here is my sample. I did write in the template above to use flat bg, but if you have one cosplay/photo you want more emphasis on, you can include your info on the side and overlap it slightly. This one is most susceptible to clutter, but also shows a range of your skills better too.

For the last example, here’s my sample.

These were all rendered on photoshop, but you can use online editing images if you wish. I personally prefer picmonkey or pixlr for anything.

But please understand that these are all at your own expense, and you will be handing these out for free. To get them printed at a company isn’t expensive and isn’t difficult (but Idk many besides visaprint so I can’t help you with that)

Hope that helped and good luck!

My alternative to seasons 4-6:

So sometime after the wedding Belle finds out she’s pregnant (you can headcanon how soon or long after the wedding they conceived - the point is that as soon as Belle found out she was pregnant she rushed to tell Rumple at the shop and then they decided gtfo of SB forever)

And they enjoyed a normal, non-magically sped up, 9-month pregnancy filled with so much fluff and smut. And they both researched and chose a name for the baby together. And Rumple drove Belle to the hospital and witnessed the birth. And they lived happily ever after. The end. This is what happened and I don’t know what anyone else is talking about.

I'm too shy to come out of anonymous... but how did you start your studyblr?? It looks so professional!

hey anon! dw, jo here has got your back! B )
(& don’t be shy, anon! feel free message me or de-anon and tell me to answer privately if you have any questions or just want to talk!)

onto your question, personally, I kind of tripped into the studyblr community one day and simply put, fell in love. So I decided to start my own studyblr as means to motivate myself, but only started working on it about three weeks ish ago? anddd the rest, they say, is history.

WARNING: A LONG POST BC JO TENDS TO GO OVERBOARD (and i probably forgot something even tho there’s this huge post but whatever oops)

but hey! i’m sure my blabbering wasn’t quite what you’re looking for, so
here’s what I’d recommend if you’re looking to start or spice up your studyblr!!

  1. find a nice theme: I find that if you can find nice, clean, simplistic (but cute and aesthetically pleasing) themes, you’re well onto your way to becoming a v nice studyblr. but still, you don’t need a theme to be a good studyblr!
here are a few blogs that make really nice themes you can look at!
    1. shythemes - is where I got my theme. Shythemes has very simplistic, clean type themes that I really like. These themes look crisp and neat and a sort of minimalist feel.
    2. ciralismthemes - has a cute, magazine/website layout (??) type theme. Cute and clean type of theme, ciralismthemes almost seems to build a little personalized "theme” within a blog. lots of choices, each theme different and unique.
    3. micaelis - has cute, tidy themes. ‘Mediocre’ is the theme that some studyblrs seem to favor, is compact and has lots of options and things, has other themes anime-related.
    4. zenthemes - zenthemes has clean, neat, minimalist themes. loads of options, all free. take a look around and choose as you like!
    5. tumblr’s themes - tumblr has loads of free themes all ready to go, you can pick and choose whichever theme you think you like!
  2. customized backgrounds/icons: let me say this first. you do not need to have all these “pretty, cute, aesthetic, personalized items” to be a great and amazing studyblr. you don’t. but I do suppose that it makes your blog look better strictly-aesthetic wise? I’m not saying you need perfect themes and great everythings to be a good studyblr, but this is something that people seem to like, if you get what I mean.
but here are a few things you can do
    1. on your desktop - you can do a few things with your desktop theme and stuff
      1. find nice background wallpaper - choose a wallpaper! i don’t recommend complicated backgrounds or pictures as your wallpaper, because it can make your blog look messy and hard to look at. instead, choose pastel colors or solid colors with a simple pattern (like with gridded lines or dashed lines, maybe).
you can also put random things on your wallpaper to customize it. I put a border with my url on it, but you can do a lot more, like add pictures of people, flower petals, stars, anything! to do that, you can use photoshop (software) or picmonkey, etc. (online photo editors) to edit.
the usual size for wallpaper is 1920 x 1080 btw!
      2. don’t clutter - make sure your blog doesn’t look to cluttered, i guess? remember KISS (keep it simple, stupid).
    2. on mobile - just like desktop view, you can pretty up your mobile look
      1. make a header - you can either make your own personalized header (like I did for my mobile theme) that fits with your desktop (or doesn’t) or you can put nice, pretty pictures as your header.
    3. make an icon - icons are like, super important. to me, at least. so try and make or find a good icon!
      1. letter/url icon - you can make an icon by putting the initials of your url or your entire url into the icon and setting a (most often pastel) solid color as the bg. it’s pretty popular and what my icon is. you can also add things that represent your url to the icon.
      2. photo icon - set a nice photo as your icon. i don’t think there’s much to say about this type of icon.
      3. selfieeeee - you can set yourself as your icon! only if you want to though (though i’m 100% you’re super handsome/pretty, i know it ;) )
  3. URL making - you can make up anything for your url!
    1. i’d recommend you add something related to studying or academics so that people know that you’re a studyblr, but you don’t have to!
    2. most often, people find good urls by either doing
      1. favorite object/thing/color/anything + study/studies or
      2. studywith + name
      3. name + studies/studying
  4. Original Content - make original posts! here’s the thing, i’ll be honest with you. if you have good lighting, nice notes, nice filters, etc., your stuff is more likely to get noticed. but they don’t have to be. the only step is that you post stuff! don’t be discouraged if you don’t get a lot of notes because you aren’t defined by notes. just post photos (if you need motivation, try doing the 100 days of productivity challenge), make your own masterposts, write about things, make a advice/tip list, etc. do anything!
  5. Signal Boost - related to original content! when you make your own posts or whatever, you can tag people! put their urls or whatever tag they track in your tags because then studyblrs will see your posts! the studyblr community is a great and friendly place, we won’t ignore you or your posts (promise) unless we don’t see it on accident! people do it, and if you don’t feel comfortable tagging studyblrs you look up to or just studyblrs in general, tag me! i’ll def reblog and boost your stuff, so feel free to tag me (and it’s ok to tag other studyblrs in your posts, honestly!) and if you have any mutuals, tag them too!
  6. Intro Post - oh gosh, the intro post is like, the most important thing ever. you should make an introduction post, introducing yourself to the community! in general, the formula for an intro post is your name, age, what you’re interested in, etc. etc. and tagging studyblrs that have inspired you or helped you make a studyblr. It took me a month to get around to this, but ohhh boy, can I tell you what a difference it made. It’s important to show yourself to the community, so do this!!
  7. Get Talking & Be Nice - not like you aren’t nice, but be friendly and outgoing and nice and kind to people in general and you’re gonna get far in both the studyblr community and in real life. and you should talk to people! reach out! find new studyblrs or talk to studyblrs that you look up to, etc and message them / send them an ask (like you did me!) this gets you far, youngun, trust me <3
    1. Communities - also, you can join communities and other study groups to get connected.
  8. Reblog - reblog posts and stuff that you like and you’ll get nice content filling up your blog in no time. also, the queue is your best friend if you’re pressed for time.
  9. Extra things - extra things idk where to put
    1. nice things - you can buy nice things to treat yourself. buy stationery, paper, just nice things to treat yoself. they look really nice btw and yes just do it.
      1. stores -  you can buy things at stores like muji, kikki.k, tokyo pen shop
      2. brands- that are really nice include pilot, uniball, sharpie, copic markers, etc
    2. apps/extensions - apps and stuff people use
      1. Focus Now/Forest - keeps you on focus by having you put your phone away. you either kill or grow a tree for a certain time you don’t use your phone. (extension for chrome: Forest)
      2. Leoh - chrome extension that opens on a new tab. includes to do list, time, goal for the day, news, weather, etc.
      3. Momentum - the typical studyblr extension, gives time and sets goal for the day
      4. Lanes.io - alternative to Momentum, gives time, has a built-in pomodoro timer, and a lot of lists and stuff to keep track of things.
      5. Flashcards+ - helps you study by opening a new tab and having you do flashcards.
      6. OneTab - a super lifesaver. Onetab collects all the tabs you might’ve had open and saves it so you can go right back to here you were last time if you need to close your laptop, etc.
      7. Pomodoro Timer - sets a 25 min timer to have you do things and keep you on track, etc.
    3. Bullet Journal - keep a bullet journal! A bullet journal is a sort of to do list, note, journal, and everything else mashed into one. Lots of studyblrs and other people use bujos. You can search reach the official bullet journal website or look on tumblr to see more about bujos.
  10. I don’t know what else, but if you have any more questions or if I didn’t answer your question properly, contact me again, anon! (If you were referring to my wallpaper and icon looking professional, I made them myself and you should contact me if you’re looking for stuff like that!)

Hey! So I know this post has been covered a hundred times, but I just wanted to give my take on it and hey a little more info can’t hurt anybody.

So what is a studyblr?
Studyblr: study + tumblr; a blog about studying.
It’s a blog to help motivate you to study or to learn new ways of studying! You can also gain amazing resources that’ll help you in your classes and throughout school.

Pros & Cons of Starting One:
Pros:

  • Pretty pictures of notes
  • Learn how to take great notes
  • Motivation to study
  • Meet new people with the same interests as you
  • Get resources and helpful tips for the classes you’re taking
  • So many masterposts and helpful tips!
  • Inspiration for study spaces
  • All around great community!

Cons:

  • Literally nothing…

How to Start:
Create a url: it can be anything you want it to be.

  • The most commonly used urls in the studyblr community are something with “yourname” + studies or studywith + ”yourname”. For example mine is “chinazomstudies”
  • Anything with the word study or related to studying is pretty common as well.
  • You can also use inspirational people, historical figures, or fictional characters as your url! The possibilities are endless.
Choose a theme: this can also be whatever you want.
  • You can go minimal or loud, use one or two columns, have a sidebar or not…whatever you think looks best or fits what you want.
  • The key pages to a great theme are the about page and tags page. These pages really bring a blog together but they aren’t necessary. The about page is where we really get to know you! The tags page is great because I like to look for certain things and it’s nice when there’s a page where I can look at all your tags.
  • As for an overall theme, most studyblrs like to go minimal. I like to use fansite themes and tweak them just because I think it looks nice.
  • Here’s where you can get just about any theme ever made. +another one
Branching out: it’s also important to have posts to look at so you should find people to follow! Getting Noticed:
Make an introduction post: this is the best way to become introduced to the studyblr community.
  • Here’s mine.
  • I gained 150 followers by making one! Just make sure to follow everyone that follows you! It’s lowkey rude when you’re just starting out and make this post just to get followers. The point is to meet new people and gain some friends. Making an introduction is a great foundation to starting out.

BOTM: another great way to get noticed.

  • You can enter into blogs of the month competitions or blog rates. These will get your blog promoted to a bunch of other studyblrs.

Queue:

  • When reblogging, you could keep a queue of about 30 posts (1 per hour) to keep your blog active if you won’t be on Tumblr all day. I usually keep my queue running while I’m sleeping so my followers on the other side of the world can see I’m active.
Making Posts:
What to post:
  • ANYTHING? But since we’re focusing on a studyblr, you should probably post things related to studying.
  • Study pictures, study guides, helpful tips, masterposts, playlists, bullet journal, study space, stationery, books, etc..
  • A great way to stay active is by participating in the 100 days of productivity.
  • ALWAYS POST ORIGINAL CONTENT! NEVER REPOST (taking someone else’s content and posting it as your own without permission). This is incredibly rude and will make you look untrustworthy and deceitful. Never do this. Only post what you have created unless you have the original owner’s permission to use their content.
How to edit photos:
  • There’s so many tutorials and posts about how to use lighting, angles, and editing - but here’s a great one. You can also look for tutorials on @yeahps or @itsphotoshop.
  • If you don't’ have Photoshop, use: VSCO, Pomelo, Pixlr (online), or Afterlight.

Getting your content seen: the most efficient way to getting your content spread is by tagging it!

  • Make sure to TAG your photos and posts with popular tags that pertain to your post.
  • The most popular tags in the studyblr community are: “studyblr”, “studyspo”, and “studying”.
  • You can also tag studyblrs that track their tag. Look for popular studyblrs that have tracked tags.
Extensions / Apps: some extensions that you’ll find studyblrs using or posting about
  • Momentum (the pretty new tab page that almost all studyblrs have)
  • Lanes (another pretty one)
  • Pomodoro (app)
  • Forest
  • Fliquo
Stationery:
Below is just some stationery you may have seen every studyblr using. These are really nice things to use for your notes!

And that’s just about it! I hope I covered everything and I’ve helped you in starting a studyblr. Good luck and welcome to the community! ❤

anonymous asked:

Do you know how to make sims look so smooth without having photoshop and topaz clean? :)

Omg this question has been sitting in my inbox for such a long time, sorry for a late reply, I’m so bad lmao.

Hmmm you can try using ReShade if your computer can handle it? But I’m not sure. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also you can use default skins, skinblends and face overlays, I have some of those listed in my resources page.

Also you can use free editing software like gimp or online photoshop.

anonymous asked:

how do you make your screenshots nice and clear?

ok, well you start off by opening the game and finding a nice place that you would like to take your screenshot!

I used this picture of Hopper! :3 ok then once you’ve got the perfect place press the home button

Once you’ve done that open Miiverse

log in and select to upload a post

select to add a photo to your post then choose if it will be the top or the bottom

add some text to the post and then post it! Once you have done that go on a computer and log in to Miiverse online. select the post you would like to use

then right click and select to copy the image

you then open photoshop (I use CC 2014) and create a new image

make sure you use this width and height! once it is open paste the image into photoshop and then flatten the image. You will then need to edit the image size

These are the settings I use

Once that is done I use Topaz Clean 3. Topaz Clean is a software you can download online for photoshop. I used the 30 day trial but then searched for a keygen to use it for free!

These are the settings I use

Once that is done, save it and it is ready!

I really hope this helps! Please message me if you have any other problems! :3
