“I have a great sense of gratitude because I’ve gotten to do what I want for a living, but there are many ups and downs. I definitely don’t feel like I’ve achieved everything I want to. I’m still learning, and trying to get better every time.” Lauren Graham for Good Housekeeping, January 2017
A/N: For the anon who requested this! Sorry it took so long lol
Simon D: At first, he’d probably protest against it just to tease you and watch you whine before finally agreeing to buy them for you. Personally, he doesn’t seem like the kind of person to be embarrassed about having to do it since he’s the romantic type and understands that it’s a natural thing for every girl.
Gray: He seems like the type of person who’d be a little flustered upon hearing your request. However, after a bit of convincing him that there’s no reason for him to be uncomfortable, he’d go buy them for you.
Jay Park: Honestly, you probably wouldn’t even have to ask him because he’ll most likely already be on his way to the store. If he noticed you hadn’t been feeling well beforehand, he’d go out of his way to buy them for you so that when you do ask he just tosses you the bag.
Loco: He’s so easily flustered that hearing this would make him be at a lost of words for a few minutes until he realizes that he hasn’t even responded. In the end he’ll buy them for you, but the entire time he’s at the store he’d be anxiously passing them by in case anyone was watching.
Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of Miscellany
Book 1, Hadith 578
Narrated ‘Abu Hurairah (ra):
Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “Hasten to do good deeds before you are overtaken by one of the seven afflictions.” Then (giving a warning) he said, “Are you waiting for poverty which will make you unmindful of devotion, or prosperity which will make you corrupt, or a disease which will disable you, or senility which will make you mentally unstable, or sudden death which will take you all of a sudden, or Ad-Dajjal who is the worst expected, or the Hour; and the Hour will be most grievous and most bitter.”[At- Tirmidhi]
It was no secret to Nate that Damion was on a mission, but in order for Damion to continue plugging away at this mission, he had to endure a dinner evening with the Lord and his Lady, accompanies by Rinoha. If the last dinner he had, previously with Darcassian Holt was any hint as to what was to come, he had prepared himself mentally for subtle insults towards himself, and an upset lover. It seemed to be the trend, nowadays.
When what he had expected happened, he took little surprise to the outcome. Nate was seething, Aeliya was indifferent, and Rinoha had stormed out of the dining hall, and promptly left Addlewood. After an awkward exchange of farewells, Damion left the manor, and headed home, back to Dirae. He knew that Rinoha would not be in the best of moods, so opting to give his lover some time to herself, he simply returned to their sleeping chambers, stripped himself of his tuxedo, and lied awake atop the covers of their bed.
Hands folded beneath the curve of his cranium, he stared out the window, moonlight peeking into the room. As of late, he had felt a bit more alienated within the Holt family than in months past, as did Rinoha. He could feel it in her, despite her not having said so. It was obvious as to why, but the fact annoyed him nonetheless.
As much as it annoyed him, he knew it was all part of the process. Ignorant of how nobility should act, he simply assumed that being grilled by the men of the Holt family was merely business, a piece of the puzzle that would simply add him into the Holt family picture - whether they like it or not. He was here to stay, and everyone knew it. Having dealt with condescending nobility extensively in the past, be it for work or otherwise, he had developed a thick skin with such things. Even if something truly got on his last nerve, he would bite back, rather than crumble under the pressure. When push came to shove, Damion knew that he would endure in the end. He always has. The key to surviving any Holt is endurance, and occasionally, a sharp tongue.
His thoughts drifted back to Rinoha, how unhappy and downright disappointed she seemed in her brother. He knew better not to get between a sibling argument this time, but he also knew that Nate was closest to Rinoha. That she expected different from him, and he failed her expectations.
Sighing to himself, his chest rose and fell gradually as he drifted into a gentle slumber, the warm body absent at his side.
Then there's Saitama's expressions despite saying he doesn't feel anything. He has on hell of a snark streak to him, acting like a little shit when he goes a different detection when on the Alien ship and then laughing the whole way and then being the cause of Zombieman getting stabbed because he snarked off to Tatsumaki. He gets nervous, A LOT and appears to have a bit of a temper and is impatient and gets annoyed as seen with how he's a sore loser losing to Bang and all at those games.
Saitama’s got a whole range of emotions too, and they’re ever widening as the series goes on~
The thing with Saitama is that his emotions were kind of put on hold, so now that they’re gradually returning, they tend to do so in kind of sudden ‘outbursts’. Saitama will go from completely blank faced to this ‘about to be an asshole’ grin right before running off in the direction he was explicitly told not to go in. He’ll go absolutely silent right before panicking about a nearly missed sale and screaming at the top of his lungs!
Saitama’s competitive side is also one of the nicest things to see because he’s found his emotions fading because he has nothing left to aspire to in the first place after reaching the top in terms of strength. When he has a goal given to him, he’ll chase it with no slowing down, and get really frustrated when he failed. I think that’s a feeling he’s really missed, you know?
And as you said, he’ll also get nervous and then not know what to do with himself because he hasn’t been nervous in so long! And then there’s also that he’s running into more and more heroes that all have very different and unique personalities and it means he has to react differently to each of them. Sometimes he runs into them for the short term, other times it’s long term. And then there are other times when it’s neither, it’s just that he keeps running into them over and over.
He’s got a lot to deal with considering he’s just now revisiting how he was before his emotions started to fade, as well as how he’s changing now from everything that’s happening to and around him ///
