In 1952, unidentified flying objects made themselves known to the leaders of the free world, by buzzing over the White House, the Capitol building, and the Pentagon.
Washington National Airport and Andrews Air Force Base picked up a number of UFOs on their radar screens on July 19, 1952, beginning a wave of sightings still unexplained to this day. These objects where traveling at 100 M.P.H. but with the ability to accelerate to the unbelievable speed of 7,200 M.P.H. The Washington 1952 sighting was confirmed by other local radar, and then Andrews Air Force Base.
Mothman is perhaps one of the most well-known and well-documented cryptid cases in the US. Usually described as a 6 foot tall humanoid creature with large glowing red eyes, a ten foot wingspan and wide mouth. The eyes are said to be hypnotic and witnesses often report feeling ill or faint after an encounter. There are some suggestions that the mothman would be a ufo or linked in some way to electricity, as if he draws his energy from it.
First seen by two couples in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, in 1966, and was seen fairly frequently by witnesses until the Silver Bridge Collapse in 1967, in which 46 people lost their lives. The Mothman was seen on and around the bridge about this time, contributing to the idea that he is an omen of disaster.
In recent years there has been a surge in Mothman sightings, and some speculate that another disaster might be imminent. Some say that he can be seen in photos of other disasters, such as the collapse of the two towers in 9/11.
hey have i told you about my plans for the summer?
so i have two months off. i figure we can take some time to road trip the USA, see the sights, fall in love, get married, have a dozen kids, become resentful, get divorced, take to drinking, occasionally hookup out of desperation, confuse our children therefor scarring them for life, until one snaps and we go on a cocaine fueled bender and carry out a suicide pact at the clown motel
