okay jackie as a hulk appreciatin'-lady, i have to ask you something that i've been mulling over since i saw the avengers yesterday: was i the only one a little bit bothered that they spent a good part of the movie talking about (and then demonstrating) how DANGEROUSLY UNSTABLE and even detrimental to the group the hulk was and then in the final battle he took orders no problem? it just seems off to me, like OH SHIT HE COULD STRAIGHT-UP MURDER ALL THE GOOD GUYS BUT NO WE'RE COOL NOW
i think the sort of ‘twist’ that wasn’t really a twist but anyway was that banner had learned how to control the hulk (for the most part)
the hulk they’d known was the hulk from before who was completely loose (because, while it’s not exactly explained in the movies the hulk is actually a completely separate entity from banner that just uses banner’s body as a host-type deal, so when banner is 'controlling’ the hulk it’s mainly that banner and the hulk have talked and made amends and been like 'ok let’s be cool’)
so yeah no one really knew that banner had that much control over the hulk, and banner himself didn’t really like becoming the hulk because he literally isn’t himself when he’s the hulk but by the end he realized he had to be the hulk to save the planet.
hey this is a PSA to anyone who lives in or around charlottesville who might want to go see AJJ on April 20th in Brooklyn
I really want to go but!! my mom doesn’t want me going up alone!!! you should come it will be a lot of fun we will take the train up that day and then go see the show and we can figure out places to stay but it shouldn’t be that hard because i know people up there and have money and we can figure something out and then take the train back to charlottesville the next day!!! wow what a blast!!!
