Warnings: Slight swearing

Requested: Yes, by @tacocheeks

A/N: ahhHHH I’m sorry, guys. I forgot to post yesterday, I had everything set up and…*insert dumb brain noise*. But without further a-due - I give you my next piece. Hope you all enjoy it. Let me know what you think *kisses and hugs*

On a slightly less happy note, I’m really glad that you all enjoy my writings and want part two’s and three’s, but it’s not really motivating when I see messages like ‘YES! DO IT’ or ‘DO IT NOW’ it’s really discouraging so see that I’m not being asked, but demanded that I do this. I mean, yes, I’m going to write these stories, but it’s not going to be done well. So if you guys want to see part two’s and three’s, could you please try something like ‘yes please’ or ‘that out be wonderful to see’ or something.

Sorry that I’m going on about this, it’s just been getting to me a little and I wanted to get it off my chest. Sorry, I’ll go now and let you (hopefully) enjoy this new story.

Talking to Harry Potter had become something that just happened to Draco Malfoy after the war. It was like, talking to someone who was in the eye of the storm at the same time. Seeing the damage around you, but not being effected by it.

Of course, Draco and Harry were both equally effect by the war, losing people and struggling with everyday life like it was supposed to just go back to normal. How do you go back after something like that?

11 of the drabble challenge please

11. “If I die, I’m going to haunt your ass.”

Whenever Harry waned to try something new, he knew you were tagging along. You were up to just about anything new but Harry’s current idea.

“I’m not sure I want to do this.” You said nervously, tugging at the harness around your waist as you and Harry’s chests were pressed against each other with the securing straps around you, your hands around each other.

“A bit too late, baby, don’t you think?” Harry chuckled, looking down at the water that seemed very far away, making him clutch your tighter as he made a “yikes” face.

“Harry, I need to tell you something,” You gulped.

Harry’s eyes widened, “Are you…?”

You rolled your eyes, “I’m not pregnant.” Harry nodded, smiling. “If I die, I’m going to haunt your ass.”

“Yo-” Harry didn’t get to finish his sentence before the both of you were pushed, screaming as you were launched in the air before dropping down with your arms around each other, the harness strap holding you both as you kept dangling above the water, laughing, Harry making faces.

“Are we going to stay like that?” You laughed.

“I love you. Just telling you so years from now we can remember this. Us bungee jumping and me telling you that I love you when we’re dangling upside down.” Harry grinned.

Your grin matched his. “I love you, too, you doofus.” And just then, the rope bounced back up.

This is short but it feels like something Harry would do.

Vampire! Tae: The Unlucky Ones (Part 1)

Vampires have soulmates too. But there were unlucky ones whose soulmates turned out to be human.

"Vampires have soulmates too. At least that’s how we explain the intense attachment and that ‘electric’ feeling everyone who already has a soulmate exemplifies. Most of the time, it happens with another vampire in our town or vampires from our neighboring city when trades happen. But there are rare cases when a vampire’s soulmate is human.

We call these vampires 'The Unlucky Ones’. Once you’re branded as an 'Unlucky one’, people look at you with sympathetic, worried eyes and they begin to distance themselves from you. When you realize your soulmate is human, there are only 3 things a vampire could do: one - walk away and force yourself to never see your soulmate again, two - watch from afar and protect them in the shadows until the end of their mortal lives, or three - turn them into a vampire. While many try to stay optimistic, all of these options are painful in their own right. The first option being the most unbearable. Apparently, once your soulmate has been found, your body feels like a magnet that needs to be constantly near that person. If you separate yourself for too long, your body will ache with a level of loneliness that people could only describe as 'feeling as if your heart was being ripped in two’. These vampires grow mindless and lose their personalities to the sadness and the longing. They begin to get warped and uncontrollable. These are the vampires that go on killing sprees and terrorize towns, putting everyone in danger of discovery.

Not wanting to lose their sanity and endanger their loved ones, most people choose the second option. They remain in the shadows as their soulmate’s protector and guardian, but this usually requires a lot of inner strength, will, and determination. To live while having something precious dangling in front of you, but never being able to get close enough to grasp it, is insufferable. Every day is a new battle between your instincts and your reasoning. The inner turmoil tends to make vampires go mad IF they are weak willed and lose sight of what’s important. But most of the time, it ends with as happy an ending as an 'Unlucky One’ can hope for.

The last option is picked ever so rarely, and out of those few cases, even fewer have ever successfully turned their soulmates into vampires. It might be good to add in here that vampire teeth have plenty of functions.

For one, the most commonly known is that they are indeed used to suck out blood. Another less known function, which most people lump together, is inserting our own vampire blood into a person. Inserting vampire blood into a human can turn them into a vampire, if their body is compatible. However, more times than not, it kills them. Even with our long lifespan, vampires know the pain of loss and no one really wants to risk killing their soulmate with their own hands. Up until date, no one knows of any one who had successfully turned a human into a full-fledged vampire. There had been close calls, but it always ended in the human going mad and on a rampage of thirst and hunger that they had to be subdued. Their primitive instincts overwhelm them to the point that they lose any personality and reasoning. They turn into someone else, no longer capable of love or thought…“

"Are you reading Taehyung that ridiculous book again?” a roar rumbled through the house.

“It isn’t ridiculous Dad!” Kim Taehyung crossed his arms as his father walked into his bedroom after his night hunt.

“Welcome home, honey.” Tae Hee smiled and greeted her husband. “You know he loves this story.”

“That’s cause you love that book too, and he can’t even understand what it’s saying.” Tae Koo kissed his wife and his child warmly. “I brought us home dinner.”

“We’ll finish the story another time, sweetie.” his mother ruffled his hair. “I’ll bring you dinner here.”

Tae Koo looked at his wife disapprovingly. “Tae Hee…”

“Okay ~” Taehyung grinned widely and opened the book. “I’ll try to read this while you’re gone.”

Tae Hee giggled at her son’s cuteness as he opened the book upside down and the two stepped out.

“You can’t keep shielding him forever. He’s a man! He needs to learn how to hunt!” Tae Koo hissed.

“He is 3 years old, Tae Koo.” Tae Hee snapped.

“But you keep feeding him these thoughts that we could fall in love with a human, that there’s an option of just hunting animal’s blood, or controlling the amount of blood we take from humans.” Tae Koo groaned. “What if he does it?”

“I’m hoping he does.” Tae Hee walked into the kitchen. “Killing anybody or anything is unnecessary. I believe we can coexist if we really tried.”

“Oh sure. Like humans are going to just allow us to take their blood as long as we promise we won’t kill them.” Tae Koo rolled his arms.

Tae Hee sighed as she collected blood from the dead human on their kitchen table into a bowl.

“Tae Hee, I’m the best human hunter in our town. Everyone’s going to expect Taehyung to be the same!” her husband complained.

“Do they?” she looked at him amused. “Everyone knows your son is quite carefree.”

“He takes after you too much.” Tae Koo chuckled and hugged his wife. “Please read him a story with vampires killing humans next time, okay?”

Tae Hee nodded and walked to her son’s room. She found Taehyung upside down as he tried to decipher the words on the page.

“Taehyung, what’re you doing dear?” she laughed.

“Mom, the words make sense if I’m upside down!” he grinned.

“Honey.” she set the bowl down and turned her child upright again. “You can just turn the book instead of turning yourself.”

Taehyung blinked and laughed, “I guess you could do that too.”

Tae Hee smiled and kissed her loveable son on the forehead. “Drink up and get some rest. The sun’s going to rise soon.”

“Mommy?” Taehyung called before she stepped out of the room.

“Why’re they called 'Unlucky Ones’?” he questioned.

Tae Hee smiled sadly, “Because there’s no way that a vampire and human can end up together happily.”

With that, she shut the door, leaving Taehyung to let that thought sink in. He frowned as he laid down in his coffin shaped bed.

[A few years later]

“You sure your son isn’t….'vegetarian’?” one of the other hunters in the town whispered to Tae Koo.

“What?” Tae Koo scoffed. “He isn’t! Tae Hee is just quite protective over him.”

“My son saw him hunting rabbits in the forest while picking out some herbs. Come on, he’s 8 years old already. He should’ve started hunting by 6.”

“After this hunt, I’ll make sure to take him on a hunt with us.” Tae Koo nodded. “He just hasn’t experienced the thrill because of his overprotective mother.”

“Alright, if you say so.” the hunter laughed. “It’ll just be too sad if the best human hunter’s son decided to not hunt humans.”

Tae Koo clenched his fists, “Don’t worry. That won’t happen. Not while I’m around.”

“Oh good. You didn’t leave yet.” Tae Hee waltzed into the bar. “You almost forgot your cloak. It’s chilly tonight.”

The hunters whistled at her teasingly, earning a glare from Tae Koo. Tae Hee rolled her eyes and kissed her husband.

“Be careful tonight, and come home safely.” she frowned.

“You and your nightmares.” he grinned as he embraced her, gladly flaunting his beautiful wife. “Don’t worry. I’ll come back home. My beautiful family needs to eat!”

“Please do.” she hugged him tightly. “Stay safe. I love you.”

“I love you too, Tae Hee.” he kissed her forehead. “I’ll be back before dawn.”

She smiled and nodded. With a whip of her cloak, she disappeared.

“Wahh I wish I could’ve had her as a soulmate. Wooo.” one of the hunters whistled.

“Hey, hey. You’ve got to be the best to deserve the best.” Tae Koo teased as they ordered another round of blood shots to hold them over for their hunt.

It was before dawn when the hunters returned. There was a light knock on the door and Tae Hee perked up, hoping it was her husband having misplaced the key. As soon as she opened it, dread filled her entire body as only 3 of the vampires stood before her, injured.

“We’re so sorry…” they whispered before passing out on her doorstep.

“Taehyung!” she called, trying to fight back her tears at what she knew had happened.

Taehyung rushed out of his room at his mother’s urgent tone. He gasped and hurried to help her pull them in.

“Get those medicine herbs we brewed and get me my clamp. We need to remove these stakes out.” she instructed. “Then go run and call their wives over.”

“Yes, mommy.” Taehyung obediently scrambled to get the materials and hurried to their houses. He was the fastest vampire in the town, second to his father. His mother was a known vampire doctor and one of the most beautiful female vampires. Everyone had their expectations of greatness from Taehyung, however, he had grown to be the complete opposite. While he was exceptionally handsome and strangely athletic for his stature, his head remained in the clouds and he had no goals or plans of becoming a hunter like his father.

The wives hurried to their home to help tend to their wounded husbands. Taehyung’s mother had already removed the stakes and stitched up their wounds when they arrived.

“They need rest. Please leave them here until the sun sets.” she instructed and led them to the guest rooms, which was more or less used for injured or drunk human hunters that were acquainted with her husband.

Once they were all settled, Tae Hee stepped into her bedroom where Taehyung waited for her. They looked at each other and Taehyung asked the one thing that had been on both of their minds.

        “Mommy, where’s Dad?”

The question echoed in the dark room and it brought Tae Hee to her knees. She began sobbing as the realization hit that her husband had been killed as her dreams foretold.

        “He’s dead, Taehyung. He’s dead.”

        “But…vampires can’t die…” the child’s eyes widened in horror. “You said…”

“Taehyung, listen to me.” Tae Hee wept as she approached her son. “Humans can kill vampires just as vampires can kill humans. That’s why I never wanted you to endanger yourself like your father. That’s why…”

“You…you lied?” Taehyung whispered as he stepped back. “YOU LIED TO ME? You said humans were kind and loving! You said they were weak!”

“Taehyung!” she cried as she reached out for him. “They are. They really are.”

“Then WHY DID THEY KILL MY FATHER!” he yelled. “WHY?”

He sank down into a corner and began weeping. His mother crawled to him and embraced him.

“Not all vampires are evil and not all humans are evil. We have a lot more in common than we all want to admit. If we attack, they figure out how to defend and attack back. Taehyung, that’s why I want you to be different.”

        “Different?” he sniffled.

“I want you to be able to be friends with humans and co-exist with them. That was my selfish wish.” she whispered into his hair.

Taehyung couldn’t quite understand what she meant and didn’t want to ask. They were both in pain. They were both in despair at having lost someone they loved. For the rest of the night, they slept wrapped in each other’s embrace with tears in their eyes. Their perfect world had been shattered.

As his father wanted, Taehyung began training to be a hunter and he learned the ropes rather quickly. He really had inherited his father’s strength and reflexes, his knack for tracking down humans with precision and striking them down. By the time he was 15 years old, he was the youngest vampire in the front lines. At times, he would even be voted in as leader of the night’s hunt. Everyone’s high hopes were revived and they all waited in anticipation for him to take over as the best human hunter in town like his father. Taehyung wanted nothing but to fulfill his father’s wish for him and to provide for his mother. It was as simple as that. He trained to be the best so that he would never have to see his mother cry again. He killed so that his mother would never starve. He buried his past self in the casket along with his father and took up his weapons in his stead. And all was well.

Until the day he met his soulmate.

Used To Pt. 1 ( V or Jungkook)

Genre: Angst

Part One Two Three Four(soon)

"YA Taehyung!“ You screamed, hitting his arm after he scared you. "What was that for?” He pouted, pretending to be innocent. You glared at him, “Don’t pretend Kim Taehyung."

The boy just gave you the usual toothy grin and low giggle that made you like your best friend. "Sorry (y/n).” He said cutely like a child. Who wouldn’t forgive him after saying it like that?

You smiled and he pinched your cheeks, “Your smile suits you much better. But you still look cute when you glare.” He squished ur cheeks to make you form a fishy face.

You and Taehyung had been classmates for the first year and you guys clicked almost immediately. But it was mostly thanks to Taehyung being a very friendly person. He could click with anyone and that’s what you liked a lot about him.

“So I was thinking about food after school?” Taehyung suggested as you guys walked to your first class on your first day.

“Excited for the second year?” “Second year of college woohoo. New modules, love it!” You sarcastically answered and he laughed. “And here I thought you would like college in your second year."

"Do you not know me well enough Tae? I’m hurt." You frowned and he pouted, putting his arms around your shoulder to comfort you. Whenever he did that you felt your heartbeat quicken from being so close to him.

"I’m sorry (y/n), please turn that frown upside down.” He grinned at you and you couldn’t help but to return the smile. The first day went by smoothly since the both of you didn’t have that many modules to take on the first day.

“Let’s go I’m starving.” You grumbled as the two of you left your last lecture. “So that was loud noise I kept hearing. Your tummy grumbling!” He teased you and you poked his sides. “Ha. Ha. Very funny."

Over lunch, the two of you were talking about how your holidays went and you were more than happy to see Taehyung again. "I missed seeing you everyday surprisingly.” You admitted as you took a sip from your drink.

Taehyung smiled happily and nodded his head, “I missed you a lot too (y/n). I was very excited to come back to school because I get to see you again!” You felt a blush creep up your cheeks as you smiled at him.

“Oh (y/n).” He suddenly shook his head with a low chuckle.

“What is it?” You frowned. Taehyung looked up and took a tissue to wipe the sauce from your chin. “You’re in college but you still don’t know how to eat properly?"

This time your face went red from embarrassment as you looked away, "Hmph. Don’t tease me."

The boy laughed loudly, "That was too cute (y/n), how can I stop teasing you?” You looked back at the boy who looked genuinely happy to be with you and it just made your heart melt. He was basically the main reason why you loved going to school.

Of course you didn’t know that he felt the same way too.

The next day when you entered your first module class, you spotted someone familiar. “Hae Rin?” You said, feeling happy to see an old friend. The two of you used to be close until you got separated in your first year. You guys stopped talking to whole year and you felt really upset but that was also when Taehyung came into the picture and became your closest friend and crush.

“(y/n)! I didn’t know you were going to take this extra module this year!” “Yea I was contemplating if I should actually.” You said as the two of you hugged. “Anyway,” you patted Taehyung’s arm, “This is Taehyung. Taehyung, this is Hae Rin."

Taehyung already heard of Hae Rin since you had told him about your ex best friend. You never knew the reason why you guys drifted apart but you were glad your were in the same class with her again.

"Do you want to join us?” You asked eagerly. Hae Rin grinned, “Id love to!” “Am I going to feel like a third wheel from now on?” He joked and the two of you laughed.

Third wheel.

He was right that someone was going to feel like a third wheel.

But he was wrong that it was going to be him.

Taehyung and Hae Rin were laughing as they exited the lecture hall and you eyed the two.

“What’s so funny?” You asked.

Hae Rin flicked her wrist as if to dismiss the issue, “It was just something we were talking about during lecture."

"Ah I see…” Your voice drifted off as the two went to reenact the situation they were laughing about.

That wasn’t the only time you felt left out. In fact, there were many times that you couldn’t even count.

"Anyway, we’ll see you tomorrow!“ Hae Rin suddenly spoke and the two of them walked off.

"W-Wait where are y'all going…” Your voice lowered as you realised the two walked away without looking back at you. Not even Taehyung. And that made you feel horrible.

"Alright bye guys.“ You muttered as you decided to go to the library to do your work to get your mind off of things.

"Ah just great…” You whispered irritatedly to yourself as you walked around the fully-filled library. There were many students doing their work that day and not a single empty table was available, that meant you had to share. You didn’t like the idea of that since it felt awkward for you but you didn’t want to go home either.

As you walked around to try and spot a familiar face, you finally saw one. “Hey… Jungkook right? Mind if I sit here?” The boy looked up and shook his head, “No go ahead.” He gestured to the empty seat across you.

Jungkook had the same timetable as the three of you but he had his own clique so you guys never really conversed before. You took out your notebook and notes and started writing what you messily took down during lecture so that you could have better notes to refer to in the future.

Well, to be more specific— you tried to.

In reality, you were distracted by the painful thoughts in your head. Why did Taehyung and Hae Rin go out without you? Where did they go? Why didn’t Hae Rin invite you? Why didn’t Taehyung invite you? Did he replace you with Hae Rin? Were you insignificant to both of them already?

 "Are you alright?“

"Huh?” You looked up to see Jungkook who had his eyebrows raised in concern.

“You look like you’re about to snap your pen in half.” He chuckled a bit, leaning back slightly, “If you’re having a hard time understanding that chapter you can always ask me, it’s pretty simple."

You scoffed, "You don’t even come for lectures do you?” “Oh you noticed?” He leaned forward, resting his head on one of his hand. You raised an eyebrow at him, “Don’t get too cocky, our teachers marks the attendance stupid."

"She does?” Jungkook asked in disbelief and you smirked, “Way to go genius. Good luck on pulling your attendance up.” You shook your head and looked back at your notes.

It was silent again before Jungkook whispered, “Then why were you so angry?”

“I wasn’t.” You replied curtly, trying your best to focus on reading your notes.

“Right, and I love going to lectures. We aren’t playing the lying game (y/n), I was just asking—"

"And i’m just trying to study.” You snapped in a harsh whispered tone which shocked him.

You sighed, “I’m sorry Jungkook. I didn’t mean to. I’m just not in a good mood okay?” Jungkook nodded his head and you looked back down only to be interrupted once more.

“If you’re not in a good mood, you’re in no shape to study. Let’s go.” Jungkook stood up, grabbing his bag.

"And i’m supposed to just follow you because…?“ "Because we’re friends as of now. So let’s go.” Jungkook smiled and you shrugged, you guessed it was a slightly better way to get your minds off of things.

"So… Where are your other friends?“ Jungkook asked as you guys walked to one of the cafes your college campus had.

"Other friends?” You asked, looking down at your feet even though you knew who he was referring to.

"You know… Hae Rin and Taehyung?“

 "Oh… They're… They’re busy today."

"Even when their best friend is in a bad mood?” Jungkook asked, “If I was in a bad mood Yugyeom and Jimin would definitely be there and vice versa."

You shrugged, "They had other plans today."

"Together?” He asked and you shrugged one more time.

It didn’t take much for Jungkook to piece your answers and reactions together but he decided it wasn’t good to bring it up since he figured that was the reason why you were in a bad mood. “If you ever feel like shit again, you can always hang out with me from now on.” Jungkook offered as he opened the cafe door for you.

"That’s really nice of you Jungkook but it’ll be bad of me to ditch the two—" You stopped talking as you watched through the glass door Taehyung and Hae Rin walking around laughing with each other and having a great time. Jungkook followed where you were looking and realised what it was that stopped you from talking. That used to be me, you thought to yourself.

He turned around to get your attention but you suddenly spoke, “I’m really not in the mood for—"

"That’s nonsense. You need to take your mind off of things. Cake?” He suggested and you smiled slightly. “Well I love food."

Jungkook grinned, "That’s right.” The two of you ditched studying to head to the cafe beside the library and it just so happened that Taehyung and Hae Rin decided to take a break from their giggling session.

"(y/n)!… And Jungkook?“ Hae Rin greeted you, sending you a suggestive wink. Even though you were jealous that she had replaced you, you couldn’t feel angry at her and that upset you.

"Oh hey guys… I didn’t know y'all were hanging out around campus.” You replied, trying to ignore the painful feeling that was growing inside you.

"And I didn’t know you were close to Jungkook?“ Taehyung raised his eyebrow.

 "Oh actually we don't—"

"We just don’t spend a lot of time together since we have our own cliques.” Jungkook interrupted, draping his arm over your shoulder. Taehyung could feel his muscles tense up as he watched the other boy stay so close to you.

It used to be him. And only him.

"Anyway you guys continue on with your date.“ Jungkook winked and pulled you away from two.

"Date?” Hae Rin whispered to herself, her heart fluttering though she tried to ignore the feeling.

 He was jealous.

Taehyung was jealous that you seemed to be close to another guy from your module and that made his mood turn sour.

“Tae? What are you having?"

Date… That’s right, he was on a date. He tried to convince himself to forget that you were hanging out with Jungkook.

"You good?” Jungkook leaned on his arms.

You glanced at the two who were looking through the menu.

 "I will be…"

Ladynoir July Day 13 - Spiderman Kiss

It’s a charity thing.

(Ao3 Link)

“Why do I have to be the one to hang upside down?” Ladybug grumbled.

Chat grinned at her. “Because, My Lady, you are the one with the yoyo.”

She sighed, giving up. “Let’s get this over with.”

“Aw, don’t be so down! It’s for a good cause.” Alya said slyly.

Ladybug gave her a dull look. “Sure, and I’m doing it aren’t I?”

Alya nodded. “Yeah, but you don’t look like you’re going to enjoy it.”

“Well-” She was cut off by Chat Noir putting his hands on her cheeks. “My Lady, you are so beautiful.”

Her breath hitched at his compliment. Since they were eyelevel she got to see the raw sincerity shining in his eyes as he did so. She saw his eyes dart to the side for a moment before he refocused on her. He gently rubbed her cheeks with his thumbs.

“I love you, Ladybug. Will you let me have this kiss?”

She nodded dumbly, entranced.

He drew her in and gently pressed their lips together. She hummed pleasantly at the feeling of his soft, firm lips on hers. Their noses brushed as they continued to kiss. Their passion for each other on full display.

Wanting to deepen the kiss, Chat opened his mouth to allow Ladybug to explore. She did so, entangling her tongue with his as they buried their hands in each other’s hair.

Unfortunately, that meant Ladybug was no longer holding onto her yoyo.

They both groaned and rubbed at aching heads. Ladybug having fallen on top of her partner, bonking their heads together as she did.

They both glanced up at Alya, hoping that she had at least gotten the footage they needed for the charity shoot.

Alya held up her phone. “Guys, I’m sorry…” She looked apologetic. “I wasn’t recording yet.”

The superheroes groaned again.

Ace Lily who wants kids bc I hate the stereotype that aces don't want kids and ugh. I really like your blog by the way❤️

Lily’s always wanted children, ever since she was ten and her and Tuney started growing apart, and Lily thought, ‘when I’m grown up, I’m going to have four kids and they can all have a friend, always’

But Lily’s not so sure about James. “You think James wants kids?” she asks Remus.

Remus shrugs from his lying down position, something Lily can see clearly sitting up against one of the trees by the lake. “I think you should ask him that,” he responds, maturely, instead of just gossiping a little like Lily wants.

“I already told him I was ace. I don’t know how to ask him. He was kinda confused on what asexual meant, so I think he might think kids are off the table.” In her heart, Lily knows that dreaming about having kids when a war is looming over their heads, when she’s not even thinking of getting a job after graduating, isn’t the greatest idea. But her heart doesn’t always follow her head.

Remus sits up at her confession. “Yeah, he was confused at first, but he just asked some questions and that was it, wasn’t it? He was totally accepting, and he understands more. Besides, you made it easier for me to come out as demisexual - and if you think James was confused at asexual, you should have seen Sirius’s face when I brought up the fact that sexuality is way more of a spectrum than that. Poor boy had his whole life flipped upside down, I think,” he grins. “But it was cool that I helped him come out as grayro by coming out to him.”

Lily laughs, imagining that cute little wrinkle Sirius gets above his nose and between his eyes when he’s confused. “I guess that’s true,” she says.

Remus lays back down and flings out an arm to rest reassuringly on her knee. “All you can do is talk to him about it. At least then, you’ll know, and you won’t have to bottle it up inside until you explode.”

Lily rests her own hand on top of Remus’. Moony knows a thing or two about holding something inside until you want to explode. And he knows her very well. Lily won’t say it out loud, but she hasn’t talked to James yet because she’s afraid he won’t want kids.

But Remus is right. Lily knows she needs to ask James. Maybe he won’t want kids or maybe he will, but Lily wants them so bad. She knows, she knows that with her blood status, her life is likely going to be forfeit within the next few years, but what’s the point of surviving if she doesn’t plan to live?

For the mini fic can you do shance and things you said at 1 am

‘things you said at 1 am’

“You know, you and I could be a thing,” Lance said, back bending over the edge of Shiro’s bed. He looked at a shirtless Shiro upside down and grinned.

“What do you mean, you and me?” Shiro raised a brow, pulling a loose shirt over his head. He was now ready to sleep, nudging Lance over tiredly to make room for himself.

“You know… us.” Lance raised himself up and spun onto his stomach. “Like, in a relationship.”

“Oh…” Shiro trailed off with a blush. Lance wanted to be… his?

Lance grinned, eyes narrowing into a flirtatious gaze. “Yeah,” he confirmed Shiro’s thoughts.

“It’s really late right now, Lance,” Shiro sobered up, glancing at the clock. “Are you sure about this, or is it just the time talking?”

Lance gave Shiro an unimpressed look. “You’re so damn dense sometimes, I swear,” he grumbled, before pouncing on Shiro and hovering above him. Shiro’s eyes widened in shock and Lance smirked, leaning in to kiss him chastely before whispering, “Yes, I’m serious.”

Shiro flushed, averting his gaze out of embarrassment. He glanced back up at Lance through his lashes and murmured his reply. “Then, yes, we’re a thing now.”

This time, it was Lance who’s face reddened, as he lay his head on Shiro’s chest with a laugh. “Boyfriends?”

“Boyfriends,” Shiro confirmed with a chuckle.

can u share anything from your wip to cheer me up?

“It’s cooold,” Eggsy whines for at least the fourth time this evening, and for at least the fourth time Harry starts fussing like a grandmother, offering to bring him tea or whiskey or another pair of socks. Merlin’s watching them over the top edge of his book, suspicion narrowing his eyes just slightly until - there it is, the twitch on Eggsy’s pretty mouth showing how hard he’s trying not to smile.

“Stop spoiling your puppies,” Merlin tells Harry, “they get accustomed to it then they’re impossible to manage.” Of course Harry defiantly says, “No,” and goes back to rubbing Eggsy’s fingers, holding them to his mouth to breathe hotly on the tips and kissing him there.

“If you think about it,” Eggsy says, tipping his head back on the sofa arm to gift Merlin an upside-down cheeky dimpled grin, “technically I’m spoiling him. Dirty old bastards get off on all this, hey. Playing the big strong hero for some pathetic damsel.”

“You don’t think he’s got all kinds of ulterior motives? He’ll have you stuffed in the bathroom the second you let your guard down.”

“He can stuff me anywhere he wants.”

They’re stationed at Yorktown again, and nothing makes Sulu happier than feeling his husband’s hand in his, and hearing his daughter’s voice as she shows him all the things she’s learned in classes.

“Uncle Jim! Look what I made!”

“What is it squirt?”

It’s no surprise Jim was an instant hit with Demora, anyone willing to give frequent piggy backs without complaint, and tell stories of great adventures in space was a shiny toy to be coveted to six year olds the galaxy over, so Jim often joins Sulu and his family on trips to Yorktown’s park.

“It’s a drawing of Jaylah, do you think she’ll like it?” She doesnt make it easy for Jim; the drawing is about two inches away from his face from where she’s sat on his shouders, and Sulu is reasonably sure the drawing is upside down, but Jim’s grin is blinding all the same.

“What do you mean do I think she’ll like it? She’s gonna love it! You got her radio in there and everything! Have you shown your dads this?” She starts scrambling down from Jim’s shoulders to show them, no concern for falling, but Jim’s used to Demora’s lack of an attention span and is already crouching down to make it easier.

And it is a good drawing, but then again, this is the seventh drawing of Jaylah his daughters done this month. Honestly he’s just glad she didn’t choose Spock to fixate on.

But as soon as Demora’s back into her father’s arms, and Jim’s safely out of the firing line, Sulu hangs back, waving Ben to walk on with their daughter.

“Thank you for that, I know she can be a bit… energetic.”

Jim just laughs and waves his hand as if to dismiss the gratitude.

“She’s great, don’t worry about it. Besides, I need to do some sucking up if I want to get a drawing of my own. It’s not really fair, Jaylah’s got like what? Five or six? I’m the Captain and I don’t get a drawing?”

“You do get a fancy chair to sit in, maybe she just doesn’t want you to get greedy.”

Jim laughs and Sulu thinks maybe, just maybe this time he’s done it. But then, he realises he hasn’t at all, Jim’s just getting better at tricking them, and it makes his chest tighten painfully that he’s starting to miss the signs.

Jim loves Demora, he’d give everything he’s got to defend Hikaru’s little girl, and Hikaru’s never doubted that for a second. But seeing Demora, watching Sulu and his family, it’s hard for Jim.

It’s a painful reminder of what Jim could’ve had. The husband, the kid, the lazy days relaxing in the park. Jim could’ve had it all.

Instead he got a stuttered goodbye and a phaser scar ripping through his shoulder, the memory as painful as the actual wound.

“I’m gonna go see Bones, are you guys gonna be okay with the squirt?” Jim’s smiling at him, its a cheerful quirk of the lips, and the newer crew members can’t even tell it from his real smiles, but Sulu can.

All of them can, those that knew Jim from before.

“We’ll be fine. Listen, Jim, I can come with you if you want company..” Jim’s already waving him off again, smile still in place.

“Nah, you go have fun Sulu. I’ll catch up with you later.” He’s walking off before Hikaru can argue, speed too slow to be rushing, but too controlled to be natural.

“He’s going already?” Ben appears behind him, Demora safely caught up in some sort of video game, too distracted to protest Jim’s departure.

“It’s hard for him, being here.” Sulu soaks in the image of his daughter safely perched on his husband’s shoulders, his entire world in one place, and then turns to catch the last glimpse of blonde hair disappearing into the crowd. “It’s hard for him wherever he is. It’s nearly been a year.”

Ben grabs his hand and Hikaru squeezes it tight.

Jim could’ve had this. The husband, the kid, the lazy days in the park. Jim could’ve had it all.

But Bones dived in front of the phasers aimed at Jim’s back, and all he got was a blood soaked ring pressed into his hand and a choked ‘It was you for me, kid. It was always you.’

Jim could’ve had it all, but instead he got a grief that haunts him from Bones’ grave to the very corners of the galaxy.

I miss your arya x gendry stories!!!!! :((( (if you're taking requests, they play twister and get a littler handsy)

Arya was slightly disgruntled that Gendry was actually good at this game. When Anguy had first brought up the suggestion of playing Twister, she’d thought that she would have this in the bag. Sure, all of the guys were taller than her, but she knew that she was more flexible due to her training in gymnastics. And yeah, maybe it was also because they were a few drinks in and she knew that their balance was off more than hers was, but she was mostly confident due to her superior skill.

And then Gendry had to ruin that.

Not only did he have a height advantage, but his lean muscular build gave him the strength to hold himself up for long periods of time in strange angles. When she stared at him accusingly, as if hiding his secret Twister talent was cheating, he only gave her a upside-down cheeky grin. While Anguy and even Mya were struggling to keep up with the game, Gendry didn’t seem to be having a single problem whereas Arya was starting to realize that she was quite short.

“Right foot, blue,” Hot Pie announced once the spinner stopped.

Arya groaned internally as Anguy did so out loud. He’d put himself at a terribly awkward angle. Arya, on the other hand, was only suffering because she knew that it would be almost impossible for her because her height. Meanwhile, Gendry moved with ease, an almost calm expression on his face. Mya had her tongue sticking out, determined as ever, but she did it as well. She was tall too though for a girl. Came from their dad, Mya explained about her and Gendry.

It wasn’t fair at all.

Taking a deep breath, Arya wiggled around, bumping into Anguy and causing him to yelp and nearly fall, until she finally managed to get her right foot to a blue dot. Gendry practically towered over her, to the point where she could feel his hot breath on the back of her neck. Normally, she enjoyed that. Not so much right now.

“Not as easy as you thought, is it?” Gendry murmured for only her to hear as Anguy and Mya cursed at each other.

Arya growled without saying a word. Gendry only laughed in response. Curse him. When he got the upper hand on things, he was always so smug about it. Well, maybe if they weren’t so competitive, it wouldn’t be so bad, but both of them liked to win. She loved that about him - how they could compete with one another about anything and have a ton of fun doing it - but right now it was biting her in the ass.

Hot Pie snorted from his seat. “Left hand, green.”

“Are you bloody kidding me?” Anguy snapped, voicing Arya’s thoughts out loud.

At least Gendry seemed to struggle with this one a little more. She waited for him to move at first since he was over top of her. As he did so, Anguy and Mya moved around edgily until they bumped into one another and another yelp was let out, resulting this time in Mya crashing face first onto the mat. The remaining three people chuckled, which earned Anguy as swat on the back of the head as Mya pulled herself to her feet and went over to sit offside the mat with Hot Pie.

Once Gendry was settled, Arya began to move. She had to roll backwards so that she could place her left hand on a green dot. When she finally got situated, she nearly bumped noses with Gendry, who was looking down at her in amusement. They were awfully close. Arya felt something hot and burning under his skin as he looked at her. A usually pleasurable feeling turned uncomfortable since they were in the middle of a game and in front of their friends.

“Left foot, green.”

That one wasn’t so bad. It could have been red. The order made things a little easier for her – but she almost started at the position that it put her and Gendry in. It was more than a little inappropriate. She didn’t mind that, but then she caught sight of Gendry’s pink face and knew that it wasn’t from the strain of holding himself up. She wiggled against him slightly as if to test the sturdiness of her position and his face turned a little redder.

“Arya,” he hissed.

She gave him an innocent expression. “Hm?”

Gendry scowled at her, knowing full well that she wasn’t innocent in this. She moved against him again, doing her best to ignore the feeling that shot through her body when she brushed against him. It was becoming a little more apparent that he was having trouble controlling himself. If she kept this up, it was going to be more than obvious that his mind wasn’t on the game any longer but something else much dirtier.

“Right foot, yellow.”

When Arya brushed against him as they moved around, Gendry had to bite back something and shot her a glare. The tables turned, she gave him a grin. They made it to their positions without much complaint.

That was until Anguy glanced over and let out a shout, causing himself to tumble and fall over. “For gods’ sakes, Gendry, get a room!” And then, still on his side, he curled into a ball and began to laugh.

Gendry, face completely flushed, grumbled, “I give up,” despite clearly being at an advantage and stood up on the mat before dashing into the bathroom.

Sighing in relief (because she wasn’t going to last much longer), Arya moved so that she could sit on her haunches. Technically the last one on the mat, she had won the game. Sure, it had come with a little cheating, but there weren’t any rules against what she’d done. She’d just taken advantage of what she could. With Anguy still in stitches, Hot Pie looking confused at what had happened, and Mya holding back laughter, Arya got to her feet and walked over to the bathroom, wiggling inside.

There was Gendry sitting on the toilet, looking quite uncomfortable.

Arya stepped up to him. “Sorry. That was unfair of me.” When Gendry didn’t say anything, she got a little nervous. She knew that he hated being embarrassed in front of people, especially when it came to their relationship, but she’d done it anyways. She did feel a little guilty about that. “Are you mad at me? I didn’t mean to embarrass you. I just– I get so competitive and you were a lot better than me and–”

Gendry suddenly reached out for her and pulled her towards him, causing her to let out a tiny squeak of surprise. He settled her so that she was sitting on his lap, basically straddling him, and he buried his face in the crook of her neck, gently kissing her skin until he nipped at her once and made her jump. Still, he held her down against him.

“I’m not angry,” he mumbled into her skin, “but you will be paying for that later.”

When Gendry moved up against her, she could feel just how aroused he was and it made her gasp slightly to feel that she matched him. He continued to kiss her neck as one of his hands roved over her freely. She squirmed against him, trying to get at a better angle so that she could touch him and kiss him too, but he wouldn’t let her move. His hand fell over her best and he gently rubbed a thumb until she was squirming more desperately against him, trying her best not to pant.

And then he stopped. He stood her back on her feet and stood up as well, leaving Arya feeling dizzy and out of it. Looking up at him, she caught a rather infuriating smirk on his face. The asshole… He’d gotten her worked up on purpose, only to leave her hanging.

“Two can play at that game,” Gendry teased before walking out of the bathroom. She heard him call for another drink, but felt like it was another world outside the door. Her body was still hot, but now she felt an ache where his touch was missing. It was almost painful. Oh, she would be paying? He clearly had another thing coming for him after that little stunt.

Telling Him You’re Pregnant

“You ready Baby?” Ashton asks, appearing in front of you as you pull your shoes on. You nod, grinning at him.

“Yeah, the list is on the kitchen counter, can you grab it and check I got everything on there?” You ask. Ashton nods, leaving the room and humming happily to himself. As you watch his retreating form, butterflies erupt in your stomach, knowing now was the moment.

Five days ago, you’d found out you were pregnant. After doing six different pregnancy tests over the course of the past few days, all of which turning out positive, you’d figured it was time to share the news with Ashton. So, at the bottom of the shopping list, you’d added an extra section as opposed to the usual list of groceries, toiletries, Ashton’s stuff and Y/N’s stuff. Underneath the heading Baby Irwin’s stuff, you’d written cot, clothes and teddy, three things you knew you didn’t need to buy yet, but would alert Ashton to the life now forming inside you, and hopefully excite him.

Standing slowly, you cautiously made your way to the kitchen, leaning against the door frame to find Ashton with a drink in one hand, the list in the other. His eyes dart up to you with a grin.

“I got distracted by the juice, I’m reading it now.” He chuckles, and you nod in response, pulling your bottom lip between your teeth as his attention returns to the paper. You notice the way his eyes widen as he reaches the bottom, and his head snaps up to look at you once again. “Really?”

“Yeah.” You nod with a small smile, unable to contain it once you see the grin that over takes Ashton’s features. “I’m pregnant.”

He puts his drink and paper back on the counter, before crossing the room in two easy strides to wrap his arms around you. You giggle, wrapping your own arms around his waist as he buries his face in your neck. You feel him smile against your skin before he drops to his knees, his hands moving to your stomach and yours to his hair. His eyes flick up to yours, and you only send him another smile as he pushes your shirt up, swiping the tears from his eyes. He presses his lips to your stomach softly, leaning his forehead on your abdomen.

“Hello bug.” He mumbles quietly, one hand finding mine, our fingers entwining. “I’m your Daddy, I can’t wait to meet you.”

You’d thought long and hard about how you were going to tell Michael you were pregnant. You’d known for a week, the excitement of finally going to have a family with Michael meaning there’d been several occasions where you’d nearly blurted it out. However after careful consideration, you figured the best way to tell Michael was using one of the things he loved the most; video games. You’d gone out and bought a third controller for Michael’s Xbox, considering he’d already got his won and one for you. Wrapping it up and placing it in a gift box, you left the bedroom and padded into the living room, where he was sitting on the sofa watching TV.

“Mike?” You ask, a little shocked to hear the nerves you were feeling sound in your voice. His head tilts back, sending you an upside down grin.

“What’s up Princess?” He asks as you move to sit beside him, box in your hands. “Oh fuck why have you got me a present, did I forget our anniversary? I swear it’s not for another…”

“It’s not our anniversary.” You giggle, handing you a box. “I just saw this today whilst I was shopping and figured you’d need it.”

“Oh?” He asks, cocking an eyebrow at me. I nod with a small smile, my eyes watching his hands as he lifts the lift of the box. Taking the controller out, he unwraps it carefully, his eyes darting up to mine with a smile. “Thanks babe! It’s nice, but I don’t need another controller? We’ve already got two…”

“Well two’s not going to be enough soon.” I reply, causing Michael’s eyebrows to furrow in confusion. He looks down at the controller, then back up at me, when suddenly dawning shines over his features, a grin splitting onto his face.

“Fuck off!” He grins, his eyes moving to your stomach before back up to yours. “Are you kidding?”

“Nope.” You smile, squealing slightly as Michael drops the controller and pullsyou into him in a hug. “Mikey!”

“I’m gonna be a Dad? We’re gonna be parents!” He shouts, releasing you to move his hands to your stomach. He beams at you, eyes shining with excitement. “Our baby’s in there?”

“Yeah!” You laugh, smiling against his lips as he suddenly kisses you. He moves his lips to your stomach, pressing a kiss to it before looking back at you in awe.

“Parents Y/N!” He grins. “We’re gonna be parents!”

Luke had always been a fan of grand gestures. When he first asked you out, it had been with flowers and a stuffed penguin. When he’d told you he’d loved you, it was at a moonlight picnic after played a song he’d written for you. When he’d proposed, it was on stage in front of thousands of people, Calum, Michael and Ashton softly singing that same song as Luke pulled out a ring.

So you thought that since it was finally your turn to announce something, you’d return the favour.

Luke had left for the studio early that morning, planting a kiss on your forehead as you mumbled a goodbye, a chuckle leaving his lips as he left. However he was now due home any minute, and you’d prepared the house for him.

Tiny paper footprints went from the door to the spare room, leading him to wear you were waiting. You’d pushed the bed to the side, and had replaced it with the giant teddy Luke had won you at a fairground as teenagers. In front of the teddy you’d made a makeshift sign out of cardboard, and painted onto it “It’s a… Baby!”

The door opening and closing made you smile, taking a seat on the bed as you waited for Luke. The to of you had been trying for a baby for a while, and you knew he’’d be more than happy a the news.

“Y/N?” Luke calls, and you can hear the smile in his voice. His footsteps echo through the house as he follows the trail until the door to the bedroom pushes open, and he hovers in the doorway. “What’s this…”

He trails off as he reads the words you’d painted, mouthing them to himself before looking up to you, eyes wide. You grin at him, nodding as you stand up.

“A baby?” He asks, voice cracking slightly.

“A baby.” You confirm, placing a hand on your stomach. He crosses the room quickly, kissing you hurriedly before dropping to his knees. “Our baby.”

“Our baby.” His response his quiet, his tone laced with awe as he places his hand over yours, standing back up to kiss you again. “I love you so much.”

“I love you too.” You smile against his lips, moving your free hand to cup his face. “We’re having a baby Lu.”

“We’re having a baby.” He grins, kissing you again quickly before wrapping his arms around you in a hug. “And I’ll love them just as much as love you.”

“Cal?” You called, closing the door to your house as you enter it. Moving to place your shopping on the living room sofa carefully, you find the bag you needed, pulling out the box containing the surprise for Calum. “Calum?”

“Hey Angel!” He grins, appearing in the doorway, crossing the room and placing a kiss to your lips. “Good day?”

“Yeah.” You nod as he glances at  the shopping behind you, lifting an eyebrow. “Every where has a sale on you know.”

“I’d never have guessed.” He chuckles, before his eyes fall to the box in your hand. “What’s that?”

“Oh, well it’s kind of a present for you, kind of a present for me. A joint present.” You smile, looking up at him. “I saw it and thought it suited us.”

“Oh really?” He smirks, taking the box from your hands. You scoff, smacking his chest with a giggle. “Ow!”

“Not that kind of present.” You grin as he perches on the sofa arm, grinning up at you.

“Well that’s slightly less exciting then.” He chuckles, looking back at the box. Lifting the lid, he places it on the sofa beside him, his eyes anding on the two mugs inside. “We did need new mugs.”

“What do they say Cal?” You roll your eyes  playfully as he smiles at you again, reading out what they say.

“World’s Best Dad and World’s Best…” He trails off, looking up at you with wide eyes. “Mum.”

You smile at him, watching his eyes move between you and the box in his hands. Slowly, he places it down on the floor, standing straight as his hands find yours.

“Please tell me this isn’t a joke.” He asks softly, eyes locked on yours. You shake your head with a soft smile, moving one of your hands to your stomach, his hand moving to rest atop of it.

“Meet Baby Hood.” You reply, a face splitting grin breaking out onto Calum’s face. He presses a messy kiss to your lips, his other hand cupping your face as he does. Pulling away, he drops to his knees, his forehead resting on your stomach.

“Listen up little one, it’s your Daddy speaking.” He grins, one hand finding yours whilst the other rests on your leg. You rest your own free hand on his neck, fingers moving through the bottom of his hair. “I can’t wait to meet you properly, we’ve been waiting for you for a long time. But while you’re in there, you need to be nice to your Mum, because if not, you’ll have me to answer to.”

“Calum.” You giggle, and he pulls back to wink at you before returning to his original position.

“But I love you a lot already little one.” He mumbles softly. “And I’m going to give you everything, I promise.”

AN: Sabriel, soulmates au, human au, college-ish au. Hopefully this story makes sense. Also the dictionary says that soulmates isn’t one word, but I don’t care.

Words: 1,900

The little kindergartener ran up to Gabriel, breathless with excitement. “Gabe, look what I made!” he exclaimed, excited as could be. Clutched tightly in his sweaty palm was a piece of red construction paper, folded in half. A sloppy kitten was drawn on the front, its head indistinguishable from its body, with two tails and only one big, pointy, bright-blue ear. “It says, ‘I love you more than tuna,’” the boy giggled, opening up to the inside of the card. “Get it? Because cats love tuna!” Suddenly shy, he held out the card, a tiny Valentine’s day offering. “It’s for you.”

Gabriel grinned. “Thanks Sammy. I love it!”

Sam stared down at the framed picture of his parents, a soft smile on his face. They were two of the lucky ones - he had heard the story time after time before. Born two months apart, they grew up together in the same small town of Lawrence. High school sweethearts who never became serious - how could they, when they both knew that they would someday find their soulmates - they parted amicably when Mary went off to college, while John stayed in Kansas to start an auto shop. Everything changed when, on John’s twenty-first birthday, he looked in the mirror and saw Mary’s face staring back at him. Sam had sat on his father’s knee many times, listening to him tell how he had waited two long, endless months to drive up to Mary’s apartment on her own birthday. Having just seen his face in the mirror herself, she jumped into his arms and they got married, had children, lived happily ever after… blah blah blah.

Not everyone was destined to get such a perfect ending, Sam thought wryly as he placed the photograph carefully back down on his dresser. When he was younger he had dreamed about his own soulmate, as all children did. Now, he viewed his twenty-first birthday - still a considerable four years away - with mixed feelings. Rather than dwell on the future, he tried to think about his future soulmate as little as possible.

Most of the time it seemed he was too in love with Gabriel to even care about his someday-soulmate, anyway.

“I’ve decorated the whole of the bottom half of the tree! The least I could do is put the Star on” I pointed, as felt him roll his eyes at my unjustified point “Come on Sehun get into the Christmas spirit!” I prodded almost getting the decoration onto the tree.

“Ho! Ho! Ho!” He sarcastically cheered, moving his shoulders as he did, causing me to momentarily lose my balance

“Sehun! Be careful! Hold still so I can put this stupid Star on and you can put me down” I finally snapped grabbing onto his head, earning a huge laugh attack from him

“Come on Y/N get into the Christmas spirit” He repeated making me smack him on the head, before going back to successfully putting the star on “Hey no hitting. I can still accidentally drop you” He warned

“You wouldn’t, you love me too much” I shrugged, reaching down and pinching his cheeks. He let out a little chuckle as he saw my upside-down grin beam at him, shaking his head at my childlike behaviour “Okay now put me down” I requested tapping his head and he simply shook his head

“I’m actually enjoying how scared you get whenever you feel like you’re about to fall” He cheekily admitted and I let out a groan

“Sehun this isn’t fu – Ahh!” I screamed as he began to run around the flat with me still on his shoulders. Laughter began to fill my ears as he continued to enjoy my fear way too much “Sehun! Put me down this instant!” I demanded as he scurried back into the living room, stopping in front of the sofa.

“Gladly” He smiled plopping me down onto it, as my back bounced off of the plush material on my landing. I let out a sigh of relief before trying to get back up, before his huge frame collapsed on top of mine.

“Seriously! Get off me you big baby!” I giggled placing my palms against his chest, trying to push him off. It only resulted in him readjusting himself on top of me, wrapping his arms around my waist and snuggling his head in the crook of my neck.

“I wish we could stay like this forever Y/N” He seriously sighed into my neck, as I reached down and ran my fingers through his soft locks, nodding in agreement “No stress, no work, just you and me laying in each other’s arms, for as long as we want” He went on, causing a light giggle to escape my lips.

“Let’s just enjoy the time we have together now hmm? We’ll worry about the future when it gets here. Right now, let’s just lay together and make it feel like forever for however long we can” I cheesily suggested, continuing my movements against his scalp as he hummed in agreement. We laid in silence just appreciating each other’s presence, with the occasional pecks on one another’s cheek. As I turned my head to admire the beautiful Christmas tree we’d successfully decorated together for our first Christmas, I smiled in content. Maybe this was the beginning of something that would last forever…

16: Upside-Down Kiss

“Well, that was pointless.”

Together, Ladybug and Chat Noir watched the circus pack up from the top of a nearby building, each nursing their dignity after finding out the true nature of the ‘akuma’ they’d pursued halfway across Paris.

“Not so pointless,” Chat proposed, holding up a finger.

Ladybug cocked her head, curious.

@abithagray: Nate/Rafe +  Must be this tall to ride’, my ass!

„Hey Rafe, look what I found?“

Rafe stopped going through the display in front of him. It wasn‘t a good display anyway, just the usual carnival trash that held an appeal only to certain people. Certain people that weren‘t Rafe…. at least most of the time. At hearing Nathan‘s voice he turned around and– And then he stared.

The shirt was hideous. And, Rafe noticed, too tight since Nathan hadn‘t taken off the one underneath. It put Rafe in mind of an onion.

„Must be this tall to ride,“ Rafe read aloud under Nathan‘s beaming smile, thoroughly unimpressed.

„What do you think?“ Nathan pulled the hem out, reading the words upside down with a grin on his face. Sometimes his lover was an actual child.

Rafe didn‘t roll his eyes, but it was a very close thing. Instead he walked a little closer, ignoring the snort the cashier let out behind him. She better mind her own business, he thought darkly.

Up close he could see that there was a line up at the collar and it–

Rafe‘s head didn‘t clear it, not quite. Nathan winked at him. „‘Must be this this tall to ride‘, my ass,“ Rafe scoffed again and happened to drop his gaze down. The slap to Nathan‘s middle dropped him back onto the balls of his feet with a cough and a laugh. Rafe glared at him, but it was only met with one of Nathan‘s infuriating grins. „Are you kidding me?“

Absentmindedly, Rafe handed the cashier a bill. Then Nathan let out a squawk when he was towed behind Rafe by his collar, which was now beside Rafe‘s shoulder and his head above the line.

„Rafe, what?“ Nathan complained, but there was no heat behind it. Instead, he was laughing, a happy crinkle to the lines at the corners of his eyes.

„I‘ll show you a good riding,“ Rafe scoffed as they reached his car.

I got you

The little skink had all but galloped down the stairs in a drunken fit, warbling and trilling gleefully until her feet tangled and sent her flying. A firm hand snatched the back of her shirt and yanked back, hauling her against the burly Seeker and into safety. She blinked slowly, pausing the sounds that bounced in her chest as she staaaaaared at the stairs before tilting her head back and looking at Myra upside down with a lopsided grin.

“I was trying to flyyyyy!”

She mock-whined, tail trying to wag despite being pinned against the catte’s leg and giggled.

“Then again, that never seems to work, so maaaybe I should say thank you. Yes. Next round’s on me then!”

Because, y’know, buying drinks for someone who owns a bar is a great gesture. Obviously appreciated. Let her sober up and she’d offer enough food to last a moon.
