universal principle

This is why I love Big Bang Theory.

Basically, the holographic universe principle suggests that we’re living in a simulated reality (different from the hypothesis that states we live in a computer simulation), where our physical world is nothing more than a detailed illusion. This illusion is actually projected by our brains, as energy fields are being decoded into the seemingly 3 dimensional universe we see around us. In a more speculative sense, the theory suggests that the entire universe can be seen as a two-dimensional information structure, which is “painted” on the cosmological horizon.

Theoretical physics: The origins of space and time

Many researchers believe that physics will not be complete until it can explain not just the behaviour of space and time, but where these entities come from.

“Imagine waking up one day and realizing that you actually live inside a computer game,” says Mark Van Raamsdonk, describing what sounds like a pitch for a science-fiction film. But for Van Raamsdonk, a physicist at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, this scenario is a way to think about reality. If it is true, he says, “everything around us — the whole three-dimensional physical world — is an illusion born from information encoded elsewhere, on a two-dimensional chip”. That would make our Universe, with its three spatial dimensions, a kind of hologram, projected from a substrate that exists only in lower dimensions.

Lee Pace rule of manliness:

"Any male subject who stands next to Lee Pace instantly loses 79.4% of his manliness. If Lee Pace starts talking, male subject next to him starts losing his manliness at the speed of light."

If this theory is correct, we may live in a web of alternate timelines

The Many Worlds Interpretation of quantum physics has been around for nearly 60 years. It’s a highly controversial idea which suggests that our world — and everything in it — is constantly splitting into alternative timelines. If it’s correct, here’s what your true existence might actually be like.

Over a hundred years ago, the discovery of quantum physics ruined the party. Our comfortable, clockwork conception of universe was thrown into disarray with the realization that, at the micro-scale, there’s some crazy funky stuff going on.

The Seven Principles of the Universe

1. Principle of Mentalism: “All is Mind”

2. Principle of Correspondence: “As is above, so is below. As is below, so is above.”

3. Principle of Vibration: “Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.”

4. Principle of Polarity: “Everything is dual; everything has an opposite, and opposites are identical in nature but different in degree.”

5. Principle of Rhythm: “Everything flows, out and in; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left- rhythm compensates.”

6. Principle of Cause and Effect: “Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause.”

7. Principle of Gender: “Everything has its masculine and feminine principles.”

“….it is understood that these ideas where passed from Master to Initiate for generations, for the purpose of personal growth and with the intention of achieving a greater and deeper understanding of the self, the world and beyond.”

VIDEO: Ted Cruz’s full speech announcing his run for President

Besides the fact that it’s exciting that somebody who actually has real principles is running for President (although I’m sure we have our policy differences here and there), Ted Cruz sucked all the early energy away from other possible 2016 contenders today by being the first to officially jump in the ring.

here’s the video:

Ted Cruz is one of a very, very small handful of Republicans that I would even consider voting for at this point.  Gone are the days when I’m content with “the lesser of two evils.” On the whole, Republicans haven’t demonstrated themselves to be that much less evil than their Democrat counterparts. However, Ted Cruz stands apart, even among Republicans for being unwaveringly devoted to the Constitution and limited government, even when those positions put him at odds with his audience.

Like I said, there may be a few places where Ted Cruz’s policy positions don’t line up with my own, but at least I know exactly where he stands on things.  When the rest of the GOP around him has flipped and flopped and flipped again, Cruz has remained consistent.

I certainly can get behind his two major campaign platforms he laid out today: Repeal Obamacare and abolish the IRS.  Yes. Yes. And yes again.

oodles and I watched Patema Inverted the other day and we loved the stuffing out of it.

So of course…

MENTALISM: the all is mind, the mind is all. The Universe, all energy, space & matter are a construct created by/for Universal Intelligence to operate. All phenomena are emanations of Cosmic Thought processes
CORRESPONDENCE: as above so below. The universe is self similar across scales. That which is within is like that which is without. Knowledge of the micro can create knowledge or the macro (vice verse).
VIBRATION: nothing is at rest. Everything moves & vibrates. From the lowest states of matter to the grandest forms of spirit, everything has various rates of vibration.
POLARITY: everything has its opposite, has two poles and is dual. Opposites are the same but differ only in degree
RHYTHM: everything moves in cycles, has an ebb and flow and is a wave function. When peaks are reached a fall must naturally occur.
CAUSE & EFFECT: every effect has a cause. Every cause an effect. Nothing ever merely happens.
GENDER: everything has a masculine & feminine principle. Every male thing/person has a female principle within (vice verse). These principles are forever in relation and represent the active & receptive forces.
SOURCE: These 7 cosmic principles come from the book The Kybalion written or transcribed by William Walker Atkinson 1908. It is credited to three initiates of a hermetic mystery school but it’s true origin is ultimately a mystery. Hermes was the Greek god of knowledge and wisdom; the Thoth of the Egyptian pantheon. It may even predate the Egypt of antiquity and come from an even earlier group of teachers who passed down these principles orally through the various mystery schools of the ages #history #truth #principles #universe #knowledge #sacred #science #spiritscience #spirituality #consciousawakening #cosmicconsciousness #oneness #evolution #thegreatwork #education #hermetic #occult #wisdomwednesdays

'Listening' to black holes form with gravity waves

New technology that breaks the quantum measurement barrier has been developed to detect the gravity waves first predicted by Einstein in 1916.

Professor David Blair was one of 800 physicists from around the world who announced a breakthrough in measurement science last month.

"Gravitational wave astronomy is going to be the new astronomy that’s likely to really revolutionise our understanding of the universe," he says.

Echos of the Big Bang: Scientists Have “First Direct Evidence of Cosmic Inflation”

Cosmologists have obtained evidence of gravitational waves in the cosmic microwave background radiation. This is the long-sought signature of the events that occurred very shortly after the Big Bang, and it provides strong evidence for the theory of inflation and (as a result) the Big Bang.

Parallel Universes and the Many-Worlds Theory

Are you unique? In your perception of the world, the answer is simple: you are different than every other person on this planet. But is our universe unique?

The concept of multiple realities — or parallel universes — complicates this answer and challenges what we know about the world and ourselves. One model of potential multiple universes, called the Many-Worlds Theory, might sound so bizarre and unrealistic that it should be in science fiction movies and not in real life. However, there is no experiment that can irrefutably discredit its validity.

The origin of the parallel universe conjecture is closely connected with introduction of the idea of quantum mechanics in the early 1900s. Quantum mechanics, a branch of physics that studies the infinitesimal world, predicts the behavior of nanoscopic objects. Physicists had difficulties fitting a mathematical model to the behavior of quantum matter because some matter exhibited signs of both particle-like and wave-like movements.

"You F#@%ing Bi*&h!"

Culture & Society
I have over-heard the remark, “You f@#%ing bi&*h!”, many times, but sadly, on a number of occasions those words are spoken by a son or daughter to a mother.  Personally, I have always taken very seriously the command to honor and respect parents, especially mothers. In fact, I feel that it is a universal principle separate and apart from religious injunctions and that any son or daughter contravening that principle cannot live a blessed or successful life.  I have always told my own children that I would tolerate, excuse, and forgive many behavior, but any disrespect shown to their mother would never be accepted or tolerated. The Mother is sacred.  Note that Orestes, despite having what some might consider a good reason for killing his mother, Clytemnestra, was vigorously and relentlessly pursued by the Furies. The Furies will catch up with any individual who disrespects his or her mother, and the outcome will not be pleasant. http://dlvr.it/2bVg5C

What is Space?

You are here

Space is the stage on which physics happens. If you are the lucky owner of a smartphone you can easily find out where on this stage you are right now, in global coordinates readily understood by any other GPS device on the planet. And once you start to move, the change in those coordinates describes your journey. Space itself has nothing to do with it: it could not care less about where you, or anything else in it, happens to be. And it would still be there even if everything else suddenly vanished.

This is how we learn to think of space at school — a rigid box in which things happen — and it is hard to imagine it otherwise. Yet the idea only became mainstream recently, in historical terms, with Newton’s Principia Mathematica published in 1687. “Absolute, true, and mathematical space remains similar and immovable without relation to anything external,” he wrote.

Scientists find a practical test for string theory

Scientists at Towson University in Towson, Maryland, have identified a practical, yet overlooked, test of string theory based on the motions of planets, moons and asteroids, reminiscent of Galileo’s famed test of gravity by dropping balls from the Tower of Pisa.

String theory is infamous as an eloquent theoretical framework to understand all forces in the universe —- a so-called “theory of everything” —- that can’t be tested with current instrumentation because the energy level and size scale to see the effects of string theory are too extreme.

Force Needed to Measure Gravitational Waves Detected for 1st Time —“Small as One Thousandth the Diameter of a Proton”

If you want to confirm the existence of gravitational waves, space-time ripples predicted by Albert Einstein in his theory of general relativity, or want to determine to what extent the law of gravity on the macroscopic scale, as described by Sir Isaac Newton, continues to apply at the microscopic scale, you need to detect and measure forces and motions that are almost incomprehensively tiny. For example, at the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO), scientists are attempting to record motions as small as one thousandth the diameter of a proton.

This week, what is believed to be the smallest force ever measured has been detected by researchers with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) and the University of California (UC) Berkeley. Using a combination of lasers and a unique optical trapping system that provides a cloud of ultracold atoms, the researchers measured a force of approximately 42 yoctonewtons. A yoctonewton is one septillionth of a newton and there are approximately 3 x 1023 yoctonewtons in one ounce of force.
