Taylor,
I don’t know if you will ever see this but I had this pressed against my chest for the longest time and it is scary to think that I never wrote it down before. There’s this deep engrained fear in my mind I will never meet you or look you in the eye and get to pass the message on personally so I hope to do that through social media. Amazing, huh? I can tell you something from the comfort of my bed at 7am all the way from the United Kingdom. And in short, the message is thank you for writing songs. In particular, one song—Tied Together With A Smile. Now, I know that isn’t your most popular song or critically acclaimed but it wasn’t still something terrifying happened to me that I saw beyond the surface. It is strange to admit this, knowing my friends may so, the people I interact with school and that they could look at my different but it needs to be said. Over the past year, my mental health took a tumble. I spiralled and lost over fifty pounds in the space of six months and it wasn’t done in the healthy way. I began to faint, I lost my periods, hide food, lie and I lost who I was. There was times where I didn’t want to talk to people, I didn’t want to brush my hair or look in the mirror and couldn’t go a day without weighing myself. And there’s still bad days, really bad days. But, it was that one song that kept me anchored. I had no control and I felt everything was falling apart but you and your music remained the one constant in my life during my lowest point. It was a comfort. I couldn’t thank you enough, you gave me something to hold onto and the announcement of your new music gave me something to smile about. I’ve been talking to my parents more now, you are big conversation starter but it develops and I’m…doing better. I’m not recovered, I still stare at a meal and wrack the calories in my head and my periods still haven’t came back but I found little reasons to push myself. I mean, food provides energy and I’ll need that to dance at the Reputation Tour, right? In short, thank you for being my anchor, thank you for Tied Together With A Smile and thank you for giving me something to work towards. You’re an inspiration.

Love, Meg

From Instagram: blathnaid182 Second last show tonight. No changeover time between @thgchoir and FIATP meant extra exhaustion but worth it for this version of Crazy.
Tomorrow is gonna be an emotional time. #FIATP #THGC #Aldershot #queerasinfuckyou#36

From Instagram: myjinxxedromxnce Frank Iero and the Patience 💚💚💚 What an incredible show. I am constantly astounded at how amazing Frank’s shows are. He is by far the best person I’ve ever seen live. There was so much energy from both the crowd and from the band! It was so great to see them having just a good a time as the audience were! I got kicked in the face several times, elbowed, and stepped on, but it was all part of the fun 😂 this was just INSANE ohmygod I had such a fantastic time! I’m so not getting over this any time soon!! I’m never happier than when I’m seeing Frank 💚 he’s an amazing man with an amazing band, and bloody brilliant fans. {Everyone I’ve met at one of Frank’s shows has been so nice!!} I can’t wait for Frank to come back to London!
