unhappy about it

A long time ago, once upon a whatsapp conversation, the phenomenal @notallbees and I cooked up an iwaoi idea so painful we both said “I hate it, let’s do this". And here we are! I’m delighted to finally be sharing the artwork for MAKING IT RIGHT (iwaoi; M)!!

Stuck in an unsatisfactory government job, estranged from his family, and perpetually single, Iwaizumi’s life isn’t what he expected. With little time to socialise, his friends have grown distant, even Oikawa. On the eve of Iwaizumi’s thirtieth birthday, the two of them have a colossal fight, ten years’ worth of unspoken tensions reaching boiling point.

When Iwaizumi wakes the next day, he’s confused to find himself in Oikawa’s apartment, while Oikawa behaves as if nothing is wrong. As the day goes on, Iwaizumi begins to realise that the life he’s woken up in is not his own, but the result of choices he made differently ten years earlier. Can he make it back to his own reality? And, more importantly, does he even want to?

Are you ready to be punched in the feelings? Please go and read and suffer and give Bees some well-deserverd love!

This is simultaneously the best and worst thing I’ve ever drawn

One thing I hate about being chronically ill is that I have problems judging whether other illnesses are the Right Kind™ of sick to go to the hospital or if I’m just being over-dramatic.

Comic N-032: “Frisk drops an F-bomb”

A second comic??

EDIT: Added word bubble, changed undyne’s face, and fixed some coloring issues!

I want to be abundantly clear.

Look, guys.  I know making friends can be tough.  But you know how you DON’T make friends?

Asking “can we be friends?”

Friendships happen organically.  They happen through mutual contact and discussion.  They happen over time.  If you get along, it will happen naturally.  But you do not suddenly become friends with somebody just by asking permission.

In fact, you know what asking “can we be friends” does?  It puts the other person in a horribly awkward spot.  If they say “no,” they’re gonna hurt your feelings, which guilts them into saying “yes.”  And if they say “yes,” then even if they’re uncomfortable, they’ve just lied to make you feel better and are probably unhappy about the whole thing.

Don’t do this to people.  Don’t ask to be people’s friends.  That’s not how friendship works.

I sometimes think of how in a few decades, Kara Danvers will have a funeral.

How it’ll be raining that day and everyone will find it fitting because a world that could take away a soul like Kara so soon before her time is a world that does not deserve the sun.

How headlines will emphasize all the notable people who attended, how Cat Grant gave a moving speech about her mentee, her best assistant, her dear friend, and how her voice finished strong despite choking up.

How articles will be written about the lives Kara changed, the stories she broke open, how her optimism in a dreary world could give people hope and how her smile and the twinkle in her eye gave everyone an oddly familiar feeling of It’s going to be okay.

How the picture on every front page is one that emanates sorrow, with grieving sister Alex Danvers on one side and heartbroken widow Lena Luthor on the other and in between them stands Supergirl, holding their hands and offering comfort as they watch the body of someone who means so much to them be lowered into the ground.

I think of the private gathering at Kara and Lena’s home afterwards. As everyone who knows the truth sits in the living room, talking softly to each other about how today was more difficult than they thought it would be. How they can finally, finally, breathe easier when Kara, still dressed in her Super suit, lands on the balcony. How Eliza hugs Kara a little tighter than normal, how her friends’ voices lack their usual playfulness, how she smiles at J’onn pretending to be stoic as always while gripping her shoulder tight.

How Alex never lets Kara leave her line of sight and of Lena clinging to Kara, whispering I never want to go through that again into her neck.

How Kara looks around the room at the people she loves and at the moving boxes her and Lena are packing up to take to their new place just as soon as Lena makes the arrangements to run L Corp from somewhere else.

Somewhere far enough that they could live without being recognized but Supergirl can still get to National City for emergencies, even if it takes a little longer now.

But mostly I think of Kara watching everyone she loves, her family, her friends, her wife all age around her while she never ages a day. I think of her staying young while they get old and why all of this is necessary in the first place.

What your Harry Potter OTP says about you:

Romione: You’re loyal and kind. You may be a bit of a romantic, even if only for characters in books. You will protect Ron and Hermione, as a ship and even just as characters, until the end of time. Very protective of fictional characters in general. Likes to refer to things as “My son/daughter” even if they’re like 43. You were probably very unhappy about the movie kiss scene.

Hinny: You’re brave and will defend your favorite ANYTHING to the death. Conventional, but maybe only because you’re stubborn. The older sibling of your friend group who is serious and mature, but would probably buy the younger ones alcohol and throw an awesome party. You love Ginny more than life, and weep sometimes at how she was written in the movies.

Dromione: It’s canon in your eyes. You probably tend to have a lot of “fanon” OTPs unfortunately. The yin/yang dynamic is your weakness. You see the good in everyone and have few very close friends, but you trust them completely. You have seen and probably regularly think about Dramione AMVs. You will ship it until you die.

Drarry: You read a lot of fanfiction. You probably even write a lot of fanficiton (We all know it’s smutty too just own it). You’re an expert at reading between the lines. You, like the Romione shippers, are rather romantic, although it’s hidden under a colder exterior. They DEFINITELY love each other. You will ship it in the afterlife.

Harmony: You shipped them, even as a child which might explain why you are so dedicated to them and why when you have a crush, you crush HARD. While not as romantic as Romiones, you’re are intelligent and believe that the best kind of relationships are slow, steady, and bud from mutual respect and friendship. You also have probably dreamed about owning a library.

Snilly: You weren’t loved enough as a child.

Jilly: Get outta here with that weak ass teen romance shit. Marriage AUs are your favorite and you’re a firm believer that if you can’t imagine your OTP bitterly assembling Ikea furniture together, than they probably aren’t your OTP. You’re compassionate and gentle. Probably the mom of your friend group.

Deamus: You are the funniest person in a lot of peoples’ lives. You’re spunky and maybe a bit of a bro when it comes to people you care about. It’s not that you’re bad at affection, but “I love you” is usually followed by “Bruh” or something like that. It’s canon. Everyone knows it. But you ALWAYS knew it.

Nuna: You live for fluffy fanfiction because that’s basically all your ship is. The last twenty minutes of the movie was just one big Nuna fanfiction and you’re fine with that. It’s the only change they made for the movie that you’re 100% ok with. You’re funny, charming and you’re friends with pretty much everyone you meet.

Wolfstar: You read more fanfiction than Drarry shippers. Or at least, you would, if there were any.

Snarry/Snamione: The creepy uncle that everyone knows, but never talks about.

Huna: You’re a dreamer. You’re the softest of the shippers, silently knowing that yours is the best, but you won’t brag about it.

Ronks: Everything about the way their relationship was portrayed in the movie pissed you off. Like Jilly shipper, except more emotional and like 6 times more deadly. Your favorite AUs are the ones where your OTP literally is just still alive.

Fremione: Like Romione, except you cry a lot more. You ok over there?

some important looks

I decided to put together what I think are several important klance screencaps, since I have no self control. This list focuses mainly on the individual looks on their faces in regards to each other, rather than the dialogue. (That’s why there aren’t screencaps from every klance moment in the season here, and it’s mostly just one or the other rather than both of them in the same screen. Because there are probably tons of posts about those already.) This season was really difficult for Keith because of Shiro, and I think his responses to Lance, specifically, are pretty clear to notice.

This right after Lance insists that he’s not a goofball, and Keith just has the most fond look on his face. This is the first time in the entire first episode Keith was actually in a good mood, and it’s because he can’t help but smile and even laugh a little because is Lance serious right now?

This is later in the episode, when Lance comforts Keith about leading in the black lion. Keith looks surprised, but he’s actually willing to listen, when he pretty much disregarded what everyone else said.

Lance shoves down his own unhappiness about the black lion not choosing him, reinforcing his beliefs that he’s not good enough, in order to comfort Keith. Because Lance, as Allura said, puts the good of the team over himself.

And then in the third episode, when Keith is beating himself up for not being a good enough leader, Lance casts him this sympathetic/concerned look before trying to get Keith’s signature determination back to where it usually is. It’s also worth mentioning that the only person Keith listened to the advice of was Lance. Just saying.

In episode six, when Lance chooses to come to Keith with his concerns about if he should even pilot a lion anymore, Keith’s response is an immediate “What are you talking about?” But he’s not mad, which is typical for Keith, he looks worried. Worried, and confused that this would even have crossed Lance’s mind.

And then when Lance leaves, clearly still unsure and upset, Keith makes an effort to cheer him up. Complete with this pure smile.

And then the smile that Lance gives in response. Lance was pretty serious the whole time, not mentioning what he wanted but instead talking about what would be for the good of the team. This look that resulted from Keith’s advice is just so,,, grateful and happy,,, I… moving on.

This is after Lance is attacked by Auxia (also in episode 6). Lance manages to catch the shot with his shield, but is still knocked to the ground with the force of it. Keith immediately runs towards Auxia, and he looks pissed. To me, he looks unusually angry even for Keith-while-fighting standards. Because she hurt Lance, and that’s not gonna stand.

And then Lance shoots the knife that Ezor threw at Keith out of the air before it so much at touched him, and Keith stops fighting just to give Lance this look. It’s the adorably fond smile again, in response to Lance’s “I got you, buddy!” He even fails to notice Auxia creeping behind him at first, because Keith is distracted. Because they’re a team, and if I were Keith in that moment, I’d be wondering “how the hell does Lance think he’s not one of the strongest?”

There’s a lot of really important, really good dialogue between Keith and Lancee that I was ecstatic to see this season. But sometimes, what isn’t outright said is just as important.

For those who have been following along with my immigration stuff, it’s now been 7 months and I don’t have my new card and the online tracker still says I don’t exist and I’m trying to open a case investigation but I can’t because haha I don’t exist.

The IRS can find me just fucking dandy though, they’ve got no problems accepting that I’m real and taking my real money, but apparently I don’t exist to anything that grants me rights or protection.

My workspace when it is clean :)

I am still unhappy about all of these cables sticking out from behind my iMac though. The notes that I stuck to the bottom of the screen are for my upcoming exam and I’ll take them off once the exam is over.

The wallpaper that I use is from emmastudies and you can find it on her studyblr (emmastudies.com) as well as lots of nice backgrounds for your phones. Also, she makes great printables for study plans/calendars.
