underwater towns

“I thought that it was more likely the opposite. I must have shut grief out. Found it in books. Cried over fiction instead of the truth. The truth was unconfined, unadorned. There was no poetic language to it, no yellow butterflies, no epic floods. There wasn’t a town trapped underwater or generations of men with the same name destined to make the same mistakes. The truth was vast enough to drown in.”

Features I would like to see in the next Animal Crossing game for the Switch

-more precise town customization, maybe a grid system where you can actually move the public works around so you can see where they are going to be placed

-more public works projects

-maybe have the option to create your own animal villager npc that works in city hall or some other shop or building

-I heard that some people thought towns underwater or on the moon would be cool and I agree but they don’t even have to places to live. I would just like to explore them.

-hence more places to go and more places to explore and discover!

-more interactions between villagers and the player

-mini games(kinda like the classic games in the animal crossing game for gamecube) and just more stuff to do in town

-maybe some new activities to accompany fishing, bug catching and diving

-more flowers, trees, shrubs etc

-bring back the constellation maker

-a bigger shopping center or one that seems more alive and interactive

-some really cool amiibo functionality

-some funny game cross over outfits like Link’s guardian armor from botw

I thought that it was more likely the opposite. The truth was vast enough to drown in

Meme about meeting characters

Twitter had a “like this thing and I’ll tell you about a character,” here is a quick and slightly edited list for cross-posting-promotional purposes.

A comprehensive “whose who” with artwork will be posted later this year when the blog launches.

  1. Red Kelp, dryad, has very little magical talent, which is odd for her kind. She struggles with this.
  2. The Purple Paw Thievery, a guild of magical rabbits that constantly steal, are generally beloved. They rarely take anything valuable.
  3. No one quite knows “what” Atticus is and he won’t say. Very limited shape shifting ability, terrible at tech, kinda bad with magic. But Knows Too Much.
  4. Nixxi, sea nymph, is deeply devoted to lost gods of storm & sea. She is piecing together her beliefs in found artifacts and old books.
  5. Dime Store Halloween is one of the most popular bands in the Netherworld. They tend to play smaller venues for more fan interaction.
  6. Lemon Peel, dragon, is constantly scheming to get snacks. It is adorable so this nearly always works. Teams up with PPThievery often
  7. Strawberry, mermaid, is exceptionally powerful magically. She has a bright, summer personality and often makes gifts (wreaths especially)
  8. Magma (everyone calls her Ham), gorgon, is a brilliant engineer – of space tech & business deals. She is immensely powerful & respected
  9. Penny P. Post, vampire, fights to balance shyness and being an extrovert. Small amounts of attention are grand but too much is worrisome
  10. Mister Ghost is a retired adventurer who enjoys farming and sitting on the porch, listening to stories. Doesnt feel the need to say much
  11. Creepy Crepes is a diner run by ghosts. The service is quick, the food is riddled with delicious slime, the milk shakes are cursed
  12. Zelda K. Arcadia, witch, is extremely talented at getting people to share secrets. She is slick and quiet and dangerous.
  13. Harper L. Vandergloom, skeleton, is a librarian in charge of the Lost Book Brigade, adventurers that recover forgotten tomes and scrolls
  14. Hopscotch All-Colors, gnome, is the time traveling postmaster of the Netherworld Post Office. Uses colorful outfits to track timelines
  15. The Potion Maker’s Authority holds regular demonstrations, workshops & chili cookoffs to brew up interest in their craft
  16. The Muenster Lunar Colony Bar & Grill is a gateway to space at large. And the fries are -to-die- for.
  17. Gardot is an underwater town, bigger than Peyroux and not as remote. Known for its musical and magic culture.
  18. Autumn’s Lost Wood is a forest of  perpetual October. It is full of ghosts, carnivorous plants, goblins, ghouls & monsters
  19. Sophie M. Starwater, elemental mage, will get you out of a jam and bring snacks while she does. Cinnamon roll. Owns many axes.
  20. The Queen regularly puts on tournaments so her “secret” (everyone knows) warrior lover will showcase her incredible physical strength
  21. The Netherworld is full of harmless gossip – everyone talks about everyone (unless you ask for your business not to be shared)
  22. Enemies are common but malice is very rare. It is not unusual for mortal foes to dine together occasionally in neutral locations.

Mermaid!AU in which Jean and Armin are both mermen and live in an underwater town. Jean likes Armin, and Armin likes pearls and corals. However, pearl and coral jewelry is considered a luxury and not every merman can afford it. So Jean learns how to make such jewelry himself. Gradually he gets better and better, and Armin is just in love with his presents, he literally never takes them off.

Armin’s tail is gorgeous and gleaming. He sometimes shakes his tail like a rattle, making it sparkle with all the jewels on it, and Jean is somehow mesmerized by it and has a soft spot for it. So when Armin wants to be alone with Jean he would just silently shake his tail and swim behind a rock or a cay without saying a word. And Jean would follow him. It’s like a secret sign for just the two of them.

Inktober Day 4 | Prompt: underwater

A mermaid… thing… I think… I guess this is why I don’t usually draw original art…

Twenty Proposals: Chapter 10

Pairing: Kristanna
Rating: T
Word Count: 2182
A/N: Set in my home country and an area I’m rather familiar with due to my own childhood! Enjoy, there’s only a couple chapters left now!

[Chapter Index]

The kiss was a lot different from the first one they had shared. That one had been rushed and at the time, Anna just panicked. With this one however, she was one hundred percent committed.

They drew away, and Kristoff looked at her as if he was worried that she was going to run again, but she didn’t. Instead, she kissed him again, this time deeper and full of passion. Her hands tugged at the bottom of his t-shirt and he sat up and took it off himself. Anna’s hands traced down his chest and she looked up into his eyes with a smile. She sat back herself and pulled her dress over her head, leaving Kristoff in awe.

In Super Mario 64, the two parts of Wet-Dry World do not exist in memory simultaneously. When Mario passes through a certain point in the tunnel, the underwater town becomes loaded and the main level becomes unloaded. By positioning the camera in a certain spot during the transition, we can see that the same elevation is both above ground in the main level and below the ceiling in the underwater town. This means the locations overlap physically, which should not be possible.

whitecrow10  asked:

I hope you're doing ok! I heard Hurricane Maria is pretty intense.

Hooooly shit.

This is the first time I’ve had signal in what feels like forever. Things are really bad here, Irma barely grazed us but Maria hit us directly.

You know in Life is Strange where you sacrifice the town and Max and Chloe are taking in that their hometown was completely and utterly destroyed? Yeah, it’s like that.

Entire towns are underwater and a lot of people have lost their homes, shopping malls are gone, no one has power, gasoline, or water. All of the trees have been stripped of leaves it honestly looks like a fire came thru and burned everything.

Since no one has any signal all communication has to be done face to face so after the storm me and my boyfriend drove around to check on my family and unfortunately a nail slashed one of the tires and we got stranded in another town for a few days. We made it back but it sure was something.

Don’t know how long this’ll last so I guess there will be a hiatus until we can at least get power back. I’ll be fine but it’s gonna be hard.

Dark Blue | Jack's Mannequin

and it was me and you
and the whole town underwater
there was nothing we could do
it was dark blue

dark blue, dark blue, have you
ever been alone in a crowded room?
well, i’m here with you, i said
the world could be burning and burning down

dark blue
have you ever been alone in a crowded room?
well, i’m here with you, i said
the world could be burning
now there’s nothing but dark blue…
