@ Zarkon's throne room
  • General: Sir, we've recovered another... 'Message' from the Paladins.
  • Zarkon: Hmm. Is it in code?
  • General: Just like the others before it. Only once again, the code has appears to have been changed. Our top cryptographers have been descrambling it all morning, and part of the message has been cracked although the overall meaning is still unclear.
  • Zarkon: Read it to me.
  • General: What we received this morning was more of an image than anything. It was multiple pictures, all with the same central figure and caption. Depicted was a green... Thing.
  • Zarkon: A 'thing?'
  • General: A-apologies, sir. Allow me to be more clear. The 'thing' in question was analyzed by our cultural experts. They believe it to be a digitally rendered version of an Earth amphibian called a frog. It's riding a unicycle.
  • Zarkon: What was the caption?
  • General: It was the same statement every time: "Here comes dat boi!"
  • Zarkon: Most disturbing... Haggar, you worked with the Champion when he was with us. Did he ever utter about a 'boi?'
  • Haggar: No, my lord. He never spoke about 'dat boi.'
  • Zarkon: These Paladins grow more clever with each day. It appears the children have finally started to grow.
  • Zarkon: I want the galaxy scanned; find the planets with lifeforms that most closely resemble 'dat boi' and alert the ground troops. Perhaps the Paladins were trying to send the message that they were on their way to help.
  • General: At once, sir.

Being a good director is really less about the technical side [and more about who you have working with you], having a keen eye for that and knowing how to utilize the people around you well. You need a clear vision, for both sound and image, and to be able to communicate this vision well to others. The professionals will take care of realizing the technical side of things. For example, I’ll say something like, “I’d like this scene to be somewhat milky and unclear.” The DP will figure out what filter to use, the lighting, and so on. It doesn’t sound like it’s too hard, but in reality there are a lot of directors who don’t have visions.

“"May your scent be hidden from the Templar’s dogs.“

Upon meeting Knight-Captain Faulkner and her troupe of mages, it certainly became clear how this apostate mantra came to be. Each mage wore a mabari snarl mask–covering the nose to the chin–which, except during moments away from public eye, the mages were prohibited from removing. The mask itself is a rigid piece effectively pushing the mage’s jaw shut (without compromising breath) to discourage distracting speech during excursions or–as one can assume–backtalk. Some masks, I am told, include a mouthpiece and are reserved for the unrulier trainees.

The masks’ design has been protested by many to be physical reminder of the imbalance of power between the Templar Order and their recruited mages; Circle mages are appalled at the blatant imagery while apostates are inflamed by the degrading nature of it. It is unclear what Templar mages themselves think about it, as they were not allowed to remove the masks in my presence.”

Obama considering post-presidential digital media career, sources say (EXCLUSIVE)

  • President Barack Obama has been discussing a post-presidential career in digital media and is considering launching his own media company
  • This is according to multiple sources who spoke on background because they were not authorized to speak for the president.
  • Obama considers media to be a central focus of his next chapter, these sources say, though exactly what form that will take remains unclear.
  • Obama has gone so far as to discuss launching his own media company, according to one source with knowledge of the matter, although he has reportedly cooled on the idea of late.
  • When contacted for comment, White House communications director Jen Psaki told Mic in a statement, “While the president will remain actively engaged in inspiring young people and he is interested in the changing ways people consume information, he has no plans to get into the media business after he leaves office.”
  • According to another source, Obama met privately with Facebook CEO and co-founder Mark Zuckerberg in Lima, Peru, on the sidelines of the recent APEC summit to discuss the matter. READ MORE

A Cop Killed A White Teen And The #AllLivesMatter Crowd Said Nothing

On the evening of July 26, Zachary Hammond pulled into the parking lot of a Hardee’s in Seneca, South Carolina. Seated next to him was a young woman who had arranged to meet someone there to sell a bag of weed. It’s unclear what Hammond knew about the transaction, but neither the 19-year-old nor his passenger had any idea that the buyer was actually an undercover police officer. Moments later, another officer fatally shot Hammond.

You had heard of the famous Ragnar Lothbrok being right here in Wessex, but your father had not allowed you to even see the great Viking warrior. It had certainly put a disappointing spin on your mood. However, you had heard from the servant’s gossip that a young man had also been captured with Ragnar. His son, a cripple, had been locked away just as Ragnar had. This information had your mind spinning - you wanted to visit him, talk to him, learn about his world, but yet here you were, stuck at the dining table with your family.

“Y/N.” Your head shot up as you exited your daydream. “You are awfully quiet tonight. Any particular reason?” You mother, Princess Judith asked curiously.

“Oh, no mother. Just tired that is all.” You replied hastily, placing a piece of duck in your mouth.

“It seems the arrival of the pagan has placed stress on all of us. It is still unclear what he is even doing here, alone and with no army.” Your father chimed in, his voice stern and filled with disgust at the thought of Ragnar and his people.

“He’s not alone father. His son is here too.” Your brother Alfred pointed out.

“Who? The cripple? It’s not as if he is going to lead an army in through the gates. He is no threat to us.”

You couldn’t help yourself. Your curiosity was too much to contain and so you quietly slipped out of your chambers and headed to the dungeon cells. When you were outside of the cell you pulled out the keys you had swiped earlier and hesitated. This was such a bad thing to do. If anyone found out, especially your father, who knew what would happen to you. It was too late to back out now though and you slipped the key into the door. There was a creak as you pushed open the door and you stayed close to the wall as you slipped inside. Your eyes widened at the sight of a boy, around your age, leaning up against the wall looking at you in alarm. For a moment you both stared at each other wide eyed and frightened before he went to speak. You instantly shushed him with a finger over your mouth and slowly advanced towards him. His eyes followed you with every step you took and you stopped in front of him, eyes darting to the ground silently asking permission to sit with him. A small nod followed and you sat up against the wall next to him.

“Hi.” You whispered, suddenly consciously aware that he might not understand your language. You were surprised when he replied softly.

“Hello.” There was an awkward pause where you didn’t know what to say, but he was quick to speak. “What are you doing here? Who are you?” Ivar was aware that you were obviously part of a powerful family, probably the royal one considering how fine your white nightgown was, and the smoothness of your skin. You looked like you hadn’t worked a day in your life and to be fair, you hadn’t.

“My name is Y/N. King Ecbert is my grandfather.” This was what Ivar had assumed - that or that you were married to one of Aethulwulf’s sons.

“Why are you here?” He repeated, this time in a more curious tone. Your eyes darted to his.

“I wanted to see you for myself. I was told Ragnar had a son.” You replied. He scoffed and looked away.

“Ah, so you wanted to see a cripple up close. Delightful.”

“No no. I wanted to see a viking. I’ve never seen one. My father won’t let me see your father so I came to you instead.”

“So I am your second choice.” He retorted, leaving your flustered looking for an answer. “Never mind. I need someone to talk to anyway. It is dull down here.”

You smiled to yourself before looking at him once more. “Tell me about your lands. What is it like in the North? I have heard many tales, tell me more.” You begged eagerly. A small chuckle left his mouth and you missed how Ivar’s lips curled upwards slightly. He began to talk about his village and his family, about his brothers and how much he despised Sigurd and he was surprised that you listened to him, even after you begun to tire.

Your head had fallen on to his shoulder and eventually to both your surprise your fingers became interlocked with the others, resting in your lap. Ivar turned to look at you as you struggled to stay awake. Your long hair was cascading over your shoulders and down your back, the slivers of moonlight highlighting your figure. Ivar had never seen someone so beautiful in his life and he was wondering if you were a gift from the Gods, or if you were just a cruel trick. He wanted to spend more time with you but he knew that if you were caught in here with him you would be severely punished. So he reluctantly shook you awake and told you it was time to leave. He revelled in the sad look in your eyes as you said goodbye, placing a kiss on his cheek. At least he knew you enjoyed his company as much as he did yours.

“Yes Ivar?” You turned around from your position at the door and looked at the viking boy.

“Come back tomorrow?” He questioned, a small flicker of hope in his eyes.

“I promise.” You replied before you slipped out of the cell leaving Ivar to his own thoughts.

I’m very curious about Furuta’s goal in bringing out V. The CCG is going to see them, and they are going to have to be explained. There is no indication that Kaneki’s forces actually throw off Furuta’s plan at all, so I doubt V’s arrival here is because the White Suits needed to be taken care of, or else.

Remember, this is a stage, a play - its about image and narrative. So including V - a bunch of highly skilled and previously never seen “CCG agents” has a purpose in the narrative.

The question is what purpose and how is Furuta planning on explaining things to the CCG. Is this a move to discredit the Washuu family by exposing one of their many secrets - by making it seem like the Washuu were holding back what, from the CCG perspective, were life saving forces?

Is this in part to prove to Matsuri that he has command of V? It’s unclear what the interactions between V and Matsuri have been since he was left the only main branch Washuu. Have they pretended to be loyal? Pretended to be concerned? Has Matsuri just not… dealt with them at all?

And if V is to be revealed to the CCG here, as their defenders against the White Suits, what does that mean for how or when Furuta might reveal other secrets he knows.

Will V be the start of revealing the Garden? Revealing Arima and the narrative every CCG investigator has been fed to be a lie?

I’m excited to see where this goes.

Cops were called to check on her safety — but they killed her instead.

Cops found her in the house with a handgun. What happened next is unclear, but they opened fire, killing Davis in front of her children.

The tribal community wants to know how a “wellness check” ended up with Davis dead.

Native and African Americans are more likely to be killed by cops than any other group.

Also cops can not deal with mentally ill people, they just kill, immideatly.

And administrative leave could not help!

Mister Stevens

It’s unclear what motivates him to be so loyal to the mayor, but whether by threats, favors, bribes or history it’s said there is no Swinton without Stevens. The ever-present chief of security will probably be there still when the ship goes down with them both.

Another of those color style tests. My mister Mister Stevens is based off this guy in some of the early art and is obviously an “evilt” counterpart to @tgweaver‘s original version.

I think I’m lost just like you used to be
Now you got your shit together
Envious and desperately I–
I tried to reach out to you
But in vain
Everything is changing
But it all still really seems the same
Nothing is gunna change
Oh, nothing’s gunna change
And nothing’s gunna change
We haven’t talked in about two years
I know you have a family now
At the time it was so unclear
Bout what I wanted
I guess I still left
You were naturally so sweet to me
And now it’s so cold
And nothing’s really gunna change
Oh, nothing’s really gunna change

tfa optimus is SO YOUNG its ridiculous. archa seven happened only 1k years before the series starts, and its unclear what age bots usually start autobot bootcamp. either way its unlikely OP is even 3k years old.

this fucking child.

The Pearl discourse is strong in the Steven Universe fandom as usual. I just want to add my two cents on what happened during that scene between Pearl and baby Steven. I do not believe that Pearl had the intention of killing Steven. How I interpreted that scene was like how Steven freed Lapis from the mirror. She saw Rose being trapped by Steven and thought that if she could just liberate Rose from Steven, then she could have Rose back.

Also, it’s unclear what might happen if Steven’s gem was removed. Hell, Steven questioned that in Bubbled and this also applies to the Gems during that time. I’m sure that if they had knowledge that doing so would hurt Steven, they wouldn’t dare consider doing such an act.

What ended up happening was that Pearl realized that this is what Rose wanted. To be a part of Steven, not separated from him and be herself again. Rose wanted to change and grow like a human, hence her decision to be a part of Steven. Pearl acknowledged this, despite not understanding Rose’s decision, and she ultimately respects Rose’s choice.
