Devin Gardner bids farewell to Michigan: 'I stayed, and I will live the rest of my life as a champion'

According to MLive, LSA alumnus Devin Gardner “spent the bulk of his speech thanking just about anyone and everyone who had an impact on his career at Michigan, and his time away from the field… . He gave special shout outs to team cooks, office personnel, massage therapists and support staff. Singling out each person by name.”

Michigan Football Joining Jordan Brand

One of the nation’s most prestigious college football programs, University Of Michigan has finalized a deal with Nike and its Jordan Brand to become its new official sponsor, per ESPN.

As they say, the “rich keep getting richer,” as Jordan Brand grabs its first football program, a major conference program with loyal alumni with some memorable merchandise, led by former NFL coach and Michigan alum, Jim Harbaugh.

It should be interesting to see the new merchandise designed and rolled out by the Nike brand as hopefully there is some “Fab Five” throwbacks or even some “Michigan Football Greats” throwbacks. Enjoy an official welcome message from the man himself, MJ, below.

Michigan football is officially the first football team to join the Jordan family. Although it may not officially happen until next year, Michael Jordan is wasting no time in introducing Michigan football as the newest member of the family. Check out the video above.

In a video tweeted out by Jordan Brand, Michael Jordan says:

“I want to welcome our first football team to the Jordan family,”

Jordan then proceeds by saying “Go Blue”.

The deal was made possible since Jordan and head coach of the Michigan football team, Jim Harbaugh have some history together. Both have lead Chicago teams around the same time. Harbaugh with his ting with the Bears from ’87 to ’93, which coincidentally happened around the same time Jordan was at his prime with the Bulls.

The deal between Michigan and Jordan Brand is said to be worth somewhere around $169 million dollars.

Is this a sign of things to come out of Jordan Brand, could we see more teams join the Jumpman in the near future? What do you think?
