uk is the place to shop

Netflix is teaming with The Jim Henson Company for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The prequel to The Dark Crystal takes place many years before the events of Jim Henson’s groundbreaking 1982 film.

Production on the 10-episode fantasy adventure series will take place in the UK this fall. Louis Leterrier (Now You See Me, The Incredible Hulk) will direct and executive produce.

Jim Henson’s Creature Shop and The Dark Crystal conceptual designer Brian Froud will create an ensemble of fantastical, state-of-the-art creatures.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance returns to the world of Thra with an all new adventure. When three Gelfling discover the horrifying secret behind the Skeksis’ power, they set out on an epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world.

Pitlochry Review:

  • Book shop built into the train station, the kind of forward thinking innovation the world needs more of. Looking at you Arbroath.
  • Cute tea rooms.
  • Also lots of coffee shops.
  • Fancy suspension bridge.
  • Nice river.
  • Apparently also has a fish ladder.
  • Feels like the kind of place you think of when you think of visitscotland.
  • Lots of nice hills nearby, warrants further investigation.

  • Didnt have time to see the enchanted forest.

Overall Score

coffee shops are such interesting gathering places of people. next to me are two old men, deep in discussion about a verse from the bible. across are a group of teenagers crowded around a table that’s too small for them, laughing like kids who have yet to encounter academic anxiety. and then me, grappling with a topic I’m 99% sure isn’t going to come up in the exam but fuelled by the 1% doubt. sigh. but it’s good. I’m good.

Pete had flown you out to Brooklyn for the NXT Takeover where they taping a match of his. He was in his element, like a kid in a candy shop now that he was finally getting the exposure he deserved as the UK WWE Champion. With no signs of the UK show on the horizon, you knew it was only a matter of time before WWE snapped him up properly and he moved to the USA, especially if his crowd reaction was anything to go by.

You could feel your eyes starting to well up as you desperately trying to avoid his gaze. You knew this wasn’t the time or the place to talk about what you wanted to tell him but you couldn’t keep it inside any longer. It was all you thought about on the plane ride over and had been the only thing on your mind for weeks.

You knew what you were signing up for when you pet him two years ago but things with WWE were moving so quickly and you were seeing him less and less.

time sensitive (but not urgent!!) im an 18 year old trans boy and im going to a wedding this week. i need to dress formally but suits don't really fit me (im pre-everything) so i was wondering what are some other formalwear options for trans boys?

Lee says:

White button-down formal shirt, black vest, tie, dress pants. You’re cutting it rather close waiting to shop for your clothes if the wedding is this week! Make sure you get to the mall or the store you’re going to in time. You’ll want to go to a place like Lord and Taylor etc.

Will we ever get a sketched concept of what the city EMR takes place in might look like at some point?

Actually, yes! Thank you for bringing this up!

Everything you’ll see here is still a work in progress (I have to factor in a lot more things for the entire city to work as a whole) but hopefully this’ll suffice with real life references.

Here you go guys, the city where EMR takes place! :

i really don’t get how shops do their sizing like for example i am 6ft 2 and i have 36B boobs and i always considered myself a UK size 12 (US size 8). however. in some shops i have to get a 14 for jeans but can get a 12 for jeggings bc stretchy and tops i’m a size 12 but some i need a size 10 but other places a 12 is too tight on my boobs but a 14 is too baggy at my waist and i just used topshop’s measuring guide and they’re saying i need a size 16 for jeans even tho i wear 12 and 14’s from other shops IT’S SO FUCKING STUPID WHY DON’T CLOTHES SHOPS MAKE THIS EASIER FOR US

kissmehateme  asked:

Hey, I was wondering where you do most of your shopping. I am a size 16 UK but I guess you could say on the bigger 16, cause an 18 is to big for me..... Anyway I was wondering if you could give me some tips on this that are essential to have and best places to shop for an okay price.

Hey hun,

I shop pretty much anywhere, from h&m to top-shop. I also shop online on sites like Boohoo and FashionNova. Make sure you check FashionNova out, their curve range is amazing! As far as tips go, if you like it, wear it ;)

Lost animals can find themselves in some strange places, but we rarely get called to a crow sat on the back of a tiger!

Simon rushed out to rescue the lost bird from a carpet shop in Leatherhead town centre. It was an easy catch but the bird was thin and weak and needed some food before release. It was taken back to out vet, Maru, and will be released very soon :)

Took a trip to Hastings this weekend and found the loveliest plant store in the world (Simply Garden on George Street, Hastings, UK - Finally bought a monstera after looking for one for months. Her name is Lorna, named for the wonderful musician who recommended the street in the first place.
