ugh she is so awesome i wish i could see her in everything

anonymous asked:

RFA + V and Saeran react to overhearing MC's family scold her because they despise who she's dating? Maybe they think they aren't successful and responsible enough or not loyal or trustworthy or feel like MC deserves far better than what she's getting our of them? Specifically I'd like to see Saeyoung's reaction given his insecurities.

And we’re back! Did you guys miss some scenarios?

Hope you like this! ^^

RFA + Saeran and V finding MC’s family disapproval

Zen

  • “Sweetie, I just think he’s playing with you.”
  • He heard that coming from your father when you two were washing the dishes in the kitchen, Zen noticed you two forgot a plate and was bringing it to the kitchen.
  •  “And what makes you think that, dad?” “Well, he’s handsome, I bet he has tons of women running after him. Maybe famous women? What makes you think he won’t dump you for some famous actress? He’s a public figure, honey, his image is everything. Plus… he sounds shallow like that.”
  • Shallow? Zen could deal with being called narcissist, workaholic, but… shallow? He was sounding shallow to your father?
  • He wanted to walk into the kitchen, maybe subtly, maybe not. He wish he had some really witty and smart statement to give so your father would realize he wasn’t just image
  • And he was about to step into the kitchen when he finally heard your voice: “If he sounds shallow, maybe you didn’t pay attention enough to what he was saying, dad. Have you listened to his story? His problems with his family? The way he struggled when he started his career as an actor? Have you heard when he told you how much he loves me and how guilty he feels that we’re still not married? Come on, dad. Either you weren’t listening, or you don’t know what shallow means.”
  •  “But, honey…” “His family is broken enough, dad. Let’s not break ours too just because you’re seeing Zen as just another actor, not as the man I chose to share my life with.”
  • Zen could almost cry right there. How did he manage to find someone who can see so deep inside him? Yeah, he definitely likes being known for his looks, but the fact you see beyond them is really overwhelming.
  • When you two are saying goodbye to your father, he gives a firm handshake to the man.  “I hope we can spend more time together, sir.”
  • “I would like that a lot. I see you have a bike, what brand is it?” that goodbye turned into a long conversation about bikes, which was super boring to you, but seeing them bonding was worth it.

Yoosung

  • “I honestly thought it was a joke when you introduced him as your boyfriend, sis.”
  • He heard when you and your sister were in your bedroom trying to find something for you to wear, Yoosung accidentally spilled wine on you.
  • “Shut up.” “No, I’m serious! What are you thinking, MC? He seems like a teenage mama’s boy. Look at what he did to your shirt, he’s so clumsy and… nerve-wracking! You’ll have to play his mommy all the time!”
  • Well, it’s not like he haven’t thought about himself like that before, but listening when it comes from another person, that person being someone who grew up with you hurts a lot more.
  • His first instinct was head out of there without anybody noticing he’s gone. But… then your sister would be completely right.
  • “He just spilled wine on me because his spatial notion is still a little compromised due to his eye. Have I told you he hurt his eye trying to protect me, sis? And yeah, he’s still a little nervous because he doesn’t know my family too well, but your hostility definitely won’t help him calming down. If you’ weren’t such a bitch, maybe you would have noticed by now he’s an amazing smart man that makes me really happy.”
  • “You just called me a bitch because of that guy?” “I did, just so you know how serious I am about him, to the point I’m fighting with my favorite person in the world.”
  • Well, he’s glad he didn’t run and stayed to listen to this. You made him sound like a really cool reliable guy, the type of man he’s trying to be for you.
  • After you and your sister go back to the living room, she makes sure to sit next to you two. “So wait… you asked her to be your pre-girlfriend before you got together? Oh my God, that’s so adorable…”
  • Then you two kept squealing over that photo of his with the roses, and though he’s super embarrassed, he couldn’t help feeling a little smug when your sister said ”Huh, I wish my boyfriend were like this.”

Jaehee

  • “She seems a little cold, MC. Are you sure she really likes you?”
  • She heard when you and your brother were setting the table while she was talking to your parents in the living room, she decided she needed to help as well.
  • “Ugh, don’t even start, bro.” “I’m not saying this to be an ass! Come on, MC, she’s so formal! She’s almost like a granny, you’ll get bored if you stay with her! This if she doesn’t dump you first, she seems cold like that.”
  •  You warned her about your brother’s brutal honesty, but this still felt unexpectedly hurtful.
  • She was really trying to loosen up, and she honestly felt she was doing a good job, at least next to you and to your friends, maybe she wasn’t and people close to you were feeling she wasn’t real about your relationship?
  • “She’s been working her ass off on a very strict company basically since she graduated, she’s still learning to loosen up. You would have noticed this if you weren’t so desperate about finding something to complain about my girlfriend, as you typically do.”
  • “Jeez, MC, calm down! I’m just worried for you.” “I appreciate it, but you’re the one boring me right now, let’s end this before I stop feeling bored and end up getting angry.”
  • She can’t help feeling this warmth growing inside her. Knowing that you are willing to fight for her like this is amazing! Not only because she never had that before, but also because it’s you.
  • Your brother decides to talk a little more to her. “Whooooa, so you’re a judo blackbelt? That’s awesome! You gotta teach me some moves!”
  • Well, giving this guy an ippon after he pissed you off would satisfy her more than she cared to admit.

Jumin

  • “Are you sure this is a healthy relationship, honey?”
  •  Your mother asked you when you two were making dinner while he was setting the table, as you asked him, but he didn’t know where to find the forks.
  •  “What do you mean, ma?” “I mean, he seems so intimidating and, everything is happening so fast, you barely know each other and are already engaged, he seems very intense, for that matter.”
  • Well, he was indeed very intense, but… intimidating? He never wanted to come across as intimidating, not to you, not to the woman who raised you.
  • Was he intimidating you to the point you were feeling pressured to get married?
  •  “Mom, I know what you’re trying to say. He’s not like dad, okay? Yes, he is very intense, just because he never had the chance to express his feelings like all of us do.“
  • “Well, your father wasn’t good at expressing feelings either, then he expressed with actions…” “Ma, Jumin would never hurt me, emotionally or physically. I know you might be thinking I’m on a cycle, that I have daddy issues, but… just give him a chance, okay? Let him prove he is nothing like my father.”
  • He was really sad for you and your mother. Two amazing women were suffering due to a man’s behavior, this was awful in so many levels…
  • He walks into the kitchen, pretending he didn’t hear a thing. “Why don’t you just rest while MC and I cook, maam?”
  • “Oh wow, what a gentleman… nothing like her father.” He smiled genuinely, neither of the women were feeling intimidated by that smile.

Saeyoung

  • “Your mother and I think you deserve better.”
  • Your father says when you were helping him changing a light bulb, Saeyoung decided to help when he heard this.
  • “Why would you think that, dad?” “Sweetie, he’s a train wreck! He’s immature, irresponsible, you told me how rude he acted with you. How can you be sure he won’t start pushing you away again?”
  • Of course he knew how immature and irresponsible he was, but he never really thought about what if he started getting snappy to you again. He promised he wouldn’t, but… was he good at keeping promises? Ask his brother.
  •  If he had any good sense, he would walk away and pretend he didn’t listen to any of this. He was already immature and irresponsible, he didn’t need o be nosy as well.
  • “He just pushed me away because he was worried and pretty sure he would die at any moment back then, dad. He was scared, he’s been scared his whole life! Have I told you what kind of hell he and his brother grew up at?”
  • “Sweetie, it still doesn’t justify…” “It does to me. He is scared and willing to change for me, I know that because I trust him. Can’t you trust the man your daughter loves? Not even a little?”
  • Well, if you asked him anything with that tone, he would oblige without thinking… ugh, you’re so sweet, so lovely, so caring… he can never push you away again! Not right now his life is so great with you and his brother, but it isn’t perfect, since your parents don’t like him…
  • “I’ll be honest with you, son. I still don’t trust you, but my daughter does and she never failed her judgments, that, and only because of that, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt.” You looked at him and smiled.
  • “Thank you, sir. I’ll prove it will be worth it.” Not so immature and irresponsible right now, is he?

Saeran

  • “MC, listen to me, this guy is trouble!”
  • He heard this through the baby monitor when you and your sister went to check on her son.
  • “Why are you saying this?” “MC, he is… creepy! Are you dating him to punish dad? Look at him, he looks like he’s on the edge of a mental breakdown! Are you sure you want to play his nurse forever?”
  • He wasn’t on the edge of a mental breakdown! At least not now… at least not since you came along, but there were a few says, though…
  • Your sister is so right! He’s so weird and creepy, he doesn’t deserve you at all! Why did he even think he could handle trying to be normal and do normal things with you?
  • “I’m not playing his nurse! I like to help him because I love him, and he had mental break downs in the past, you would have too if you were locked up and forced to drugs after growing up with an abusive mother. All he needs is support and a loving family, not this… judgment from you!”
  • “MC, calm down, I was just…” “I know you’re concerned, but focus your concern on helping me give him what he needs. If you have nothing else nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
  • Saeran didn’t hear any of this, he hid in the bathroom when you two left the bay’s bedroom and kept talking as you walked into the living room.
  • Then you two heard the baby crying through the baby monitor, but he quickly stopped, you two found it odd and went to check on him.
  • He was fine, Saeran was holding him. “Am… Am I doing this right?” Making yours and your sister’s heart explode from sweetness? Yep, he was doing this right.

V

  • “What are you even thinking dating this guy, MC?”
  • Your brother asked you when V went to the toilet, he got lost and tried to get back to ask your brother where was it, exactly.
  • “What do you mean?” “I mean, he’s an old blind man, MC! You’re wasting your youth with a guy like this, he won’t be able to keep it up with you!”
  • V already thought about it, yes, you were so young, did you really need to take such a responsibility by dating him?
  • And that coming from your brother, who sounded so worried… he hated being a burden and provoking this arguing between two family members…
  • “He’s just one year older than you, so chill. And what century are we in? Do you think just because he’s blind, he’s not able to have a normal life? Dude, we’re planning a trip to Italy for my birthday, I think that’s pretty normal, don’t you?”
  •  “MC, take I easy, I’m just…” “You’re concerned, but you don’t have to.  He’s pretty good by himself, and he’s independent, he doesn’t need me, yet he wants me, and I want him, so there’s nothing for you to worry about.”
  • He needed you, maybe not to do things for him, yes. But he needed you because he loved you, and he was so happy that you were so sure about him not being a burden.
  • You were saying goodbye, when your brother said: “I’m sorry, dude.”
  • “If you want to apologize, apologize for stressing her out. As for me, don’t worry, I’ll make sure to bring you a gift from Italy as a peace offer.”
FTM!Karma (KarmaGisa AU)

FINALLY JESUS

Rating: K+/T

Nagisa Shiota thought it was an incredible stroke of luck that he ended up sitting next to Karma Akabane in first period, and even more so that they were in all the same classes but one.

The new student was nearly quaking as he sat down next to the larger boy in his Science class, at his teacher’s request. The redhead had an intimidating aura to him, but he greeted his classmate with a sincere smile and asked if he was new.

“You’re not from here, are you? I think I’d remember someone who looked like you.” He had said. Before the bluenette had time to blush at the obvious nod to his hairstyle, Karma added, “Blue hair, that’s so wild. It’s bright without being obnoxious. I’m jealous, I look like a used tampon come alive.” Nagisa covered his mouth to muffle a snort.

“It’s natural, actually…” Nagisa admitted, scratching at the back of his neck.

Akabane just smiled. “That just makes it cooler! Like fate chose you to look awesome.” He gushed, resting his chin on both his hands like a dazed schoolgirl and laughing.

Within two periods, the two boys had become thick as theives. They had found that they were both obsessed with the same movies, they listened to the same bands (Akabane had been to concert for one of them; the bluenette shamelessly milked him for details), and they had pretty much the same opinions on everything (Except for pineapple on pizza, which Nagisa liked. Karma had almost yelled in disgust so loud the teacher heard him). The smaller boy couldn’t belive the other didn’t have any other friends in his first four periods, because he was so cool, it couldn’t be like he was a loner. Unless that was just the kind of kid he was; he just kept himself on purpose, the strong, silent type. A nice thought, but probably not likely, as he’d chosen to open up to Nagisa so quickly. He didn’t notice the wary glances Akabane was getting at all.

It wasn’t until fifth period that he found out.

“What class do we have next?” The bluenette asked, fumbling for his schedule as the bell rang.

A look of dread flashed across the redhead’s face. “Gym, I think. Ew.”

The smaller boy laughed at his friend’s expression. “What, you don’t like P.E.?”

“Ugh, no way.”

“No way, you’re, like, ripped! I can see the muscles through your shirt sleeves, haha. You’re probably at the top of the class. Look at me, I’m a shrimp: You can’t complain.” Nagisa chuckled, guestering to his skinny, petite frame, then to Akabane’s althletic build.

Karma gave a weak laugh. “I’ve seen gymnasts with builds just like yours, Shiota. You don’t look very out of shape, I’m sure you’ll do fine. But…” He paused, then gave a small sigh of resignation. “…It’s not the curriculum I don’t like, it’s just…Nothing. You’ll see, I guess.” He shrugged and looked away.

“What? Is our coach shitty? How much are they gonna make us run?” The bluenette asked anxiously as they entered the gym. From the opposite side of the room, a tall girl with long, straight, blonde hair spotted Karma and waved. He waved back and giggled lightly.

“Who’s that, your girlfriend?” Nagisa asked. He wished he hadn’t said it after it was out of his mouth; something about the thought of the redhead in a relationship sat wrong in his stomach.

Karma roared with laughter. “Oh my god, no! She’d die if she heard that. She’s so gay, and so dedicated to her girlfriend.” The smaller boy let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding as the redhead regained himself. “No, no, that’s just my friend. Her name’s Nakamura Rio.”

“Gay, huh?” Nagisa laughed weakly and wondered if now was the best time to out himself as pan. He bit his lip, and looked up at his new friend. It could just be the lighting, but he might’ve seen a bit of pink on the other’s cheeks as they neared the locker rooms.

“Yeah; thank god her girlfriend’s not in our gym class. Okuda’s actually pretty modest, usually, but when she and Nakamura get around each other, it gets a little wild.” He shook his head at the thought of it, chuckling.

“Hah! Guess you’ll have to introduce me sometime.” He hadn’t noticed Karma’s falling footsteps as students filed into the locker rooms. “But let’s deal with that later, okay? We gotta go get dressed.” He turned back to noticed Akabane had stopped in the space between the locker rooms. His face was red and he wore an embarrassed frown. The bluenette shot him a blank look.

“…Karma? You coming?” he asked tentatively, tugging at his own backpack straps. A few students had stopped to watch the two. Nakamura walked up behind Karma and gently put her hand o his shoulder.

“Hey, Karma,” She said lightly, smiling at him.

“Hey,” He mumbled, looking to her, then the ground, then to Nagisa. He looked like he might cry.

“Um…See you after class, I guess.” The redhead said softly to his confused friend. The smaller boy’s eyes widened as he watched Akabane follow his blonde friend into the girls’ locker room with his head down.

Oh…

xXx

Nagisa couldn’t stop the rising heat in his cheeks as he changed into his gym clothes. A boy with cropped raven hair approached him catiously as he pulled his shorts over his hips.

“Hey…It’s Nagisa, right?” The bluentte nodded. “I’m Sugino, from your second period. I saw you out there with Akabane…Did you know?”

“No…Is that why people have been, sort of…avoiding him?” The smaller teen couldn’t help but ask.

“Because he’s trans? No-I mean-That might be part of it, for some people, but that’s not really the whole reason. It’s…he came out last year. Do you wanna know the story?” The taller boy asked as he slipped on his shirt.

“I don’t know, do I?” Nagisa bit his lip as he removed his pigtails and pulled his hair into a high pony. “I mean…I guess, if it’ll help me understand why it’s a big deal.” The coach called them out of the locker room, and they began to stretch themselves out on the gym floor.

“Well, last year, when-when he was a she-I’m just gonna refer to second-year Karma as a she, okay? To avoid confusion.” The bluenette nodded.

“Well, she was called Kiyoko, and she was, like, the best at everything. She was the best player on the girls’ basketball team, and she had top grades, and, y'know-she was just one of…those girls, right?” The smaller boy nodded again. “So there’s this kid named Asano Gakushuu in our grade. He’s the principal’s son, have you heard of him?” Nagisa shook his head. “Well, you will. Soon enough.”

“Anyways, he was super smart and athletic and stuff too-Like I said, he’s the principal’s kid-And he liked Akabane. Or he just wanted her as a sort trophy girlfriend, I don’t even know. Anyways, he hit on her for a really long time, and she finally hooked up with him. Some people thought it might have just been to shut him up, but she seemed to like him-But whatever, that part’s not important.”

“So, they were, like, the ultimate power couple for a few months. But they started having these fights all the time, like in the middle of lunch and stuff-I think it was about home stuff usually, that’s what somebody told me. Which would make since, Akabane’s parents travel for business a lot, so she’s-he’s, sorry-home alone a lot, and Asano’s got issues with his mom and dad, or whatever.

“But it got really bad, and one day Asano hit her and the next day-He came out as a he. Just like that, it was so sudden. He showed up to school the next day with his hair cut and a flat chest-I don’t think he had surgery, though-and wearing the boy’s uniform….And Asano just lost it. He was so mad. Somebody claimed Karma tried to tell him that he still liked him, and that he just wanted him to change the way he treated some of the students who got lower grades, but that doesn’t really matter, because they’re definitely done now, and they definitely hate each other’s guts.”

“…Damn.” Nagisa whispered softly. He felt like it was all he could say. It was so much. “Really?”

“Yeah, man. They’re rivals in eveything now, even though the school won’t let Karma register for anything as a boy.” Sugino frowned. “I feel bad for him. It must suck ass.”

“Yeah…” The bluenette’s voice trailed. “But that doesn’t really explain why everyone avoids him.”

“Nagisa, if Asano’s dad is the king of the school, Asano is the spoiled prince. He has everyone in this school under his finger. After Akabane came out, he did everything he could to wipe out Karma’s good reputation. He basically got rid of all of his friends, except for a few. His lunch table has, like, three people there only. It was a fucked up thing to do, but no one here’s in much of a position to defy Asano, unless you have good grades. Like Nakamura: you saw her, right? Highest English scores in the grade. She and Karma met on the basketball team, I think. They’ve been best friends since elementary. They used to always pull the greatest pranks together. When Asano dumped Akabane, every meal he and his little clique of friends ate had wasabi hidden all in it for the next week, no matte rwht they did. Asano coupdn’t prove it was her, and no one knows how she did it, but everyone knows she did. It was awesome.” Sugino said almost dreamily, staring at the ceiling as he fondly remembered the memory of Nakamura’s vengance and Asano’s suffering.

Nagisa laughed. “She sounds like a good friend to have.”

“Everyone says she’s crazy, but besides that, I’m sure she is. She and Okuda Minami are dating, so I guess she can’t be too bad.” The taller boy shrugged. The coach had moved on to talking about their curriculum for the following year, but nobody was really listening.

“Where did the girls’ class even go?” Nagisa asked, looking around the gym and laying down on the polished wooden floor.

“The other gym. They always split up the gym classes into guys’ and girls’. Probably hell for Akabane.”

“Yeah…Probably.”

xXx

Nagisa ducked into the boys’ changing room as quickly as he could, before Karma and the girls returned. He had seen the girls’ gym clothes, and he was terrified of seeing Karma in it and staring. He quickly changed back into the school uniform and sat outside the girls’s changing room, waiting for his friend. Finally, he watched the redhead and his blonde friend walk out of the door.

The bluenette popped up as soon as he saw his friend, whose eyes widened. He bit his lip and approached the smaller teen. “Sorry…” He murmured.

“For what?” The smaller boy smiled gently. He was tempted to put a hand on his friend’s shoulder, but refrained.

“I didn’t tell you…” The taller boy squeaked his shoe on the ground awkwardly.

“Why would you need to?” Nagisa laughed. “You didn’t need to; what difference does it make?” The bashful smile and glassy, hopeful eyes Karma used on him made his chest light, and he beamed almost giddily. “Come on, let’s go to our next class.”

Slut (Evan Hansen X Kleinman!Reader)

TW; Swearing, heavy bullying, a lot of crying, KIND OF FAT SHAMING I FEEL HORRIBLE, mentions suicide :<

AN; Slight Connor x Reader at end, dolls. This was really hard to write because it says some really mean things. I almost cried. aaaaand sorry this took so long, I’ve had a less than okay but not bad week. xoxo

WC; i dunno anymore lmao

You held Evan’s hand as you walked through the hallway, your small group of friends behind you guys. People didn’t dare mess with you when they were around. Everyone knew they would make a scene and probably start a fight. So people made fun of you when they weren’t around.

“Guys, do you have any plans this weekend?” Jared said, looking between you all.

“Not really,” Evan smiled, squeezing your hand.

“Nope.” Connor mumbled, his hands stuffed in his pockets.

“Well Zoe and I were going to have a sleepover and do our homework, but you guys can totally join if you’d like!” Alana cheered, Zoe nodding at her words.

“Sure, as long as it doesn’t turn into some weird orgy.” Connor added, pointing at you and Evan.

“Awe, c’mon Connor!” Jared yelled, “You’d tap this!” Jared hit his own ass and ran ahead a few steps. Connor shook his head with a chuckle.

“I-I’m up for it!” Evan added, smiling.

“Eww! Evan’s up for an orgy!” Zoe cried, laughing.

Everyone laughed except for Evan, who was embarrassed mess.

“We could have the sleepover at our house.” You said, glancing at Jared.

“Hell yeah!” Jared cried, already thinking of Just Dance and junk food.

“Hey pricks, this is where we all split up.” Connor added, waving goodbye.

“Love you, (Y/N).” Evan whispered when he kissed your cheek and turned into his classroom with Jared and Connor behind him.

“Bye tree lady!” Jared yelled with a laugh as he stepped into the class.

Alana and Zoe waved goodbye as they turned a corner, heading towards their class as well. Your attitude completely changed as soon as you were all alone. You wrung your hands and looked down, heading to your class on the other side of the building. People were whispering as you quietly shuffled down the hallway. You could tell they were talking about you because everyone craned their necks to watch you go by. Some people even pointed and laughed. Your chest felt heavy as you sped up and suddenly tripped in the middle of the hallway, landing in front of a group of bullies.

You stared at the ground with wide eyes, refusing to look up. You hair was shielding your face, but everyone could tell you were scared. You knew who was in front of you, and you didn’t want to deal with this on a Friday. This was the one girl who knew not only how to break you, but shatter you.

Your hair was pulled up aggressively, making you look up at the girl in front of you. Anxiety swelled in your chest, and it was hard to breathe suddenly.

“So, the little slut likes to sleep with my boyfriend?” The girl grinned like the Cheshire cat, leaning down slightly.

“N-No, I would never-” You stuttered, earning a tug on your hair. The girl pulled you by your hair, making you stand up to your feet slowly.

“Oh yeah? Then why does he know everything about your body and the way you moan?” The girl growled, getting really close to you. The girl let go of you, but the circle that had formed around you three blocked you from leaving. A boy stepped up next to her and took one menacing glance at you.

“This slut? Oh yeah!” The boy laughed, his eyes dark. “She had no dignity, and she practically rode me until I broke! She had stretch marks and fat rolls all over! She screamed for me, and she was so fucking loud!”

Tears had started to streamed down your face as you stared at this boy you had never even seen before. Why were people so cruel?

“That’s i-impossible, I was w-with my boyfriend l-last night.” You whispered, holding back a sob as people whispered, called you names, and even spat on you. You were with Evan last night, and all of your friends new that too.

“Boyfriend? We all know that your ‘boyfriend’ is only dating you because he would be forever alone otherwise. Don’t even get me started on your dumb fucking friends.” The girl spat, shoving you backwards. You landed at the feet of the girl’s best friend, and she dumped a huge bottle of red koolaid on your head. Your white shirt turned see through and stained. Your bra was visible, and people were screeching with laughter. A sob erupted through your mouth as you stood up and shoved past through the circle around you.

You sprinted through the hallways, dripping red koolaid and tears. You stumbled a few times, but kept going. You ran past a group of familiar people, and they all called your name as you ran by. You didn’t stop running until you reached your house, slamming the door open and wheezing for air.

You ran up the stairs to your room, slamming the door shut and locking it. You threw your backpack against the wall and flung yourself into your bed. You sobbed so hard that your whole body hurt. You felt horrible and embarrassed. Your phone buzzed and you looked up slightly, hoping it was Evan or Jared texting you.

No, someone had just tagged you in a video of the whole incident on Facebook. You let out a yell and threw the phone against the wall, pulling on your hair and letting your body shake with sobs. Your phone shattered as you heard a car screech into the driveway. You rocked yourself and shook for what seemed like forever. You hadn’t noticed your door handle jingling or the people calling your name. You didn’t even look up as Jared and Evan bursted into the room.

Your eyes were still squeezed shut when Evan held you in his arms, and Jared was trying to talk to you. You opened your eyes in time to see Connor dragging Jared out of the room, trying to show him the video.

Everyone was extremely worried, and they had every right to be. You had refused to tell anyone why you had tried to take your life only a year ago, before they all knew you. Jared was there, but you didn’t get along well that year, for some reason. So now they all took it as their responsibility to protect you, and make sure that never happened again.

Evan ran his fingers through your hair, his other hand gently holding your face.

“How long has this been happening? How long have they been– been..” Evan whispered, not wanting to hear the answer.

“S-Since Freshman y-year.” You hiccuped, watching Evan’s eyes scan you with realization.

“Is-is that why you would always come home with bruises? Is that why you–?” Evans eyes watered and his voice broke, he didn’t understand how people could do this to someone like you. You nodded, silent tears dripping off your face.

“I’m so sorry, I’m so so sorry.” Evan cried, pulling you into his arms. Evan cried into your hair, wishing he could go back and help you. He wished you told him, but he wasn’t going to say that. He knew if he said that he’d be putting the blame on you. You heard someone yelling angrily downstairs, and you slowly pulled yourself out of Evans embrace.

Your door was busted open and a fuming Jared stormed it. He angrily hugged you, holding you tightly. “I swear I will kill them, (y/n).” Jared growled.

“Nobody messes with the Kleinman twins.” You heard Connor say, earning a concerned laugh from Zoe and Alana.

“Are you okay, (y/n/n)?” You heard Alana ask, stepping forward. You nodded and laughed, wiping a tear from your eyes.

“M-Much better, now that you’re all here.” You whispered, earning a hug from Evan. Jared backed away and paced angrily, his hands angrily pulling his hair.

“I can’t believe I didn’t know, they’re so– so- ugh!” Jared yelled loudly, sitting down with tears in his eyes.

Connor stepped forward and sat next to you, setting his hand on yours.

“Hey, I- We won’t let anybody touch you anymore.” Connor said softly, his face pink. “Don’t worry about those pricks anymore, okay?”

Connor smiled, which was rare. Your eyes were wide and you smiled, nodding.

“Thanks, guys. You’re all awesome.” You whispered, pulling your hand away from Connor’s to wipe your tears. Evan pulled you closer to him, and you noticed Jared was crying angrily. He had realized that this had been going on for a long time, and that this was why you probably tried to take your own life.

“I am seriously beating the shit out of everyone who has ever laughed at you, (Y/N).” Jared mumbled, wiping a tear from his eye.

“Make-A-Wish. Can I help you?”

I want to thank all the wonderful Tumblr-folk I tagged in this for contributing to one of the best reads I’ve had in a while. I would also like to apologize to those whose contributions I might have missed.

———————————————————————————–

I wonder if, in superhero universes, the villains ever get contacted by those “Make a Wish Foundation” and similar people.

I mean, the heroes do. Of course they do. Kids who want to meet Spiderman or Superman or get to be carried by the Flash as he runs through Central City for just thirty seconds.

But surely there are also the kids, who - because they are kids and sometimes kids are just weird - decide that what they really, really want is to meet a supervillain. Because he’s scary or she’s awesome or that freeze ray is just really, really cool, you know?

The heroes would be so weirded out by it. The villains with codes of ethics would totally band together to force the villains without one (should they be the one requested) to do their part for the cause.

But imagine the person who has to track down the villains and organize everything?

Like, the first time it happens, no one actually thinks it’s possible, but one of the newbies volunteers to at least try. They get lucky, the kid wants to meet one of the villains who is well known to have a personal code of ethics (eg one of the rogues), and it takes them weeks to track the villain down to this one bar they’ve been seen at a few times, plus a week of staking out said bar, but they finally find them.

So they approach the villain, very politely introduce themselves and explain the situation, finishing with an assurance that, should the villain agree, no law enforcement or heroes will be informed of the meeting.

The villain, assuming it’s a joke, laughs in their face.

At this point, the poor volunteer, who has giving up weeks of their time and no small amount of effort to track down this villain, all so a sweet little girl can meet the person who somehow inspired them, well, at this point the employee sees red.

They explode, yelling at this villain about the little girl who, for some unknown reason, absolutely loved them, had a hand-made stuffed toy of them and was inspired by their struggle to keeping fighting her own and wasn’t the villain supposed to have ethics? The entire bar is witness to this big bad villain getting scolded by some bookish nobody a foot shorter than them.

When the volunteer is done, the villain calmly knocks back their drink, grips the volunteers shoulder and drags them outside. The bar’s patrons assume that person will never be seen again, the volunteer included. But once they’re outside, the villain apologizes for their assumption, asks for the kid’s details so they can drop by in the near future, not saying when for obvious reasons. They also give the very relieved volunteer a phone number to call if someone asks for them again.

A week later, the little girl’s room is covered in villain merchandise, several expensive and clearly stolen gifts and she is happily clutching a stack of signed Polaroids of her and the villain.

The next time a kid asks to meet a villain, guess who gets that assignment?

Turns out, the first villain was quite touched by the experience of meeting their little fan, and word has gotten around. The second villain happily agrees when they realize it’s the same volunteer who asked the other guy. Unfortunately, one of the heroes sees the villain entering the kid’s hospital and obviously assumes the worst. They rush in, ready to drag the villain out, but the volunteer stands in their way. The hero spends five minutes getting scolded for trying to stop the villain from actually doing a good thing and almost ruining the kid’s wish. The volunteer gets a reputation among villains as someone who can not only be trusted with personal contact numbers but who will do everything they can to keep law enforcement away during their visits.

The volunteer has a phonebook written in cypher of all the villain’s phone numbers, with asterixes next to the ones to call if any other villains give them trouble.

Around the office, they gain the unofficial job title of The Villain Wrangler.

The heroes are genuinely flabbergasted by The Villain Wrangler. At first, some of the heroes try to reason with them.

Heroes: “Can’t you, just, give us their contact details? They’ll never even have to know it was you.”

The Villain Wrangler: “Yeah sure, <rollseyes> because all these evil geniuses could never possibly figure out that it’s me who happens to be the common thread in the sudden mass arrests. Look man, even if it wouldn’t get me killed, it would disappoint the kids. You wouldn’t want to disappoint the kids would you?”

Heroes: “… no~ but…”

The Villain Wrangler: “Exactly.”

Eventually, one of the anti-hero types gets frustrated, and decides to take a stand. They kidnap the Villain Wrangler and demand that they give up the contents of the little black book of Villains, or suffer the consequences. It’s For the Greater Good, the anti-hero insists as they tie the Villain Wrangler to a pillar.

The Villain Wrangler: “You complete idiot, put me back before someone figures out that I’m missing.”

Anti-hero: “…excuse me?”

The Villain Wrangler: “Ugh, do I have to spell this out for you? Do you actually want your secret base to be wiped off the map? With us in it? Sugarsticks, how long has it been? If they get suspicious, they check in, and then if I miss a check-in, they tend to come barging into wherever I am just to prove that they can, even if they figure out that they’re not being threatened by proxy. Suffice to say, Auntie Muriel really regretted throwing my phone into the pool when she strenuously objected to me answering it during family time. If they think for even one moment that I’ve given them up, they won’t hesitate to obliterate both of us from their potential misery. You do know some of the people in my book have like missiles and djinni and elemental forces at their disposal, right?”

Anti-hero: “Wait, what? I thought they trusted you?!”

The Villain Wrangler: “Trust is such a strong word!”

Villain: “Indeed.”

Anti-hero: “Wait, wha-” <slumps over, dart sticking out of neck>

The Villain Wrangler: “Thanks. I thought they were going to hurt me.”

Villain: “You did well. You kept them distracted, and gave us time to follow your signal.” <cuts Villain Wrangler free>

The Villain Wrangler: <rubbing circulation back into limbs> “Yeah well, you know me; I do whatever I have to. So I’ll see you Wednesday at four at St Martha’s? I’ve got an 8yo burns unit patient recovering from her latest batch of skin grafts who could really use a pep talk.”

Villain: “… of course. Yes… I… yes.”

The Villain Wrangler: “I just think you could really reach her, you know?”

Villain: <unconsciously runs fingers over mask> “I… yes, but, what should I say?”

The Villain Wrangler: “Whatever advice you think you could have used the most just after.”

Villain: <hoists Anti-hero over shoulder almost absently> “….yes.”

The Villain Wrangler wasn’t lying to the Anti-hero. They know that the more ruthless villains would not hesitate if they thought for one second that the Anti-hero would betray them.

But this is not the first time the Villain Wrangler has gone to extreme lengths to protect their identities.

Trust is a strong word. The Villain Wrangler earned it, and is terrified by what it could mean.

My first official Deadpool headcanon is this. This this this.

Okay but this whole concept actually makes a lot of sense, because villains are a lot more likely to be disfigured/disabled/use adaptive devices (bc ableist tropes), so of course, say, a child amputee is going to be more interested in the villain with a robot arm who almost destroyed New York than the heroes that took him down.

Also, imagine one of the kids gets better, and a few years down the line becomes a villain themselves, except their crimes are things like smuggling chemo drugs across the border for families that can’t afford treatment, or stealing from corrupt businessmen to make donations to underfunded hospitals (idk this turned into a Leverage AU or something) and every time the heroes encounter her, they’re like “oh no. she’s getting away. Curses. Welp, nothing we can do.” Though it isn’t that she can’t take them on; bc of course once the villain from way back when found out what she was up to, he started helping/training her.

“I thought they just hired someone to dress up and pretend to be you,” she says, amazed, when he reveals himself. “I didn’t think they actually got the real you!”

Every year the Villain Wrangler gets a very expensive gift basket from the pair.

And for the kids who don’t get better the villains are there too, they show up to every funeral, they bear too small coffins on their shoulders and the heroes stand aside

They are fierce with grieving families assuring them that their child will not be forgotten, and they don’t balk at negative emotions, they don’t tell people to be strong or “celebrate their child’s life,” because these parents have every right to their grief and anger

And the lost children are never forgotten. Flowers appear on graves during birthdays and anniversaries, heroes find pictures of those kids and they carefully take them down and ensure they’re delivered to the villain’s cell, and a few villains can be seen with friendship bracelets wrapped around their wrists the cops have learned not to try and take them off

They are fierce with grieving families assuring them that their child will not be forgotten, and they don’t balk at negative emotions, they don’t tell people to be strong or “celebrate their child’s life,” because these parents have every right to their grief and anger

And then one day, one of the evil geniuses who happens to specialize in inducing bizarre genetic mutations meets a young fan who was born with a rare genetic disorder that is slowly killing them, and realizes that they can help.

Another, who created their own exosuit, talks to a young fan and suddenly understands how much the technology that they have built for themselves could revolutionize quality of life for people with muscular dystrophy, or paraplegia, or other disorders that confine people to wheelchairs with little mobility.

A third thinks of a way that their nanobots could be used to detect and remove cancer cells when their fan, who had been in remission, writes to say that the doctors have found a new metastasizing tumour.

Then shortly after, an evil genius specializing in cloning is contacted by an old colleague asking if a suitable heart couldn’t be grown for their young fan with a congenital heart condition who needs a donor.

Suddenly, a pattern of villains offering (and marketing) their insights and resources to improve medical science starts to arise. Many who had previously been operating on society’s fringes are shocked to receive public accolades, research grants and job offers from major companies because of their work.

A grassroots movement arises advocating for imprisoned villains with appropriate qualifications and/or experience to have access to resources to conduct research for the public good. The Second Chance Rehabilitation Project launches.

(It is an open secret that only people who have been vetted by the Villain Wrangler are allowed to join, because the Villain Wrangler has by now a meticulously set up method and intelligence network to run background checks and character references through ensure that none of the children wishing to meet their role models get hurt.)

This is all soooo good, but I wonder what effect this has on the villains. Like, can they really wreak indiscriminate havoc when they know the kids that worship them might be in the area? Like, what if they attack a shopping mall and it just so happens that Annie’s mom ran in for a pair of shoes or something? What then?

So what you’re saying is that there is now an organization of henchmen who do round the clock, exhaustive research in order to make sure the villain’s plan isn’t going to ruin the life of some kid. Just imagine some aunt getting a call from an unlisted number.

“I swear I am not a bill collector ma’am. It’s just. Well. Ok and I swear I am not a stalker even if this is actually going to be a very creepy phone call, but you said you were going to the mall at four? Is it possible you could reschedule or postpone that trip for about an hour? That mall is way too close to…well. It just wouldn’t be safe. I could wire you some money, and you could go to the much nicer mall one town over? Would that work for you? No? You are calling the police? Yes. Yes that is the sensible thing to do. Definitely do that. You have a nice day, ma’am. Tell Marcus Doctor Evil says hello and to have a nice day.”

And then the poor minion has to call the villain and explain why robbing X bank isn’t a good idea that day.

“Yes. Hello. Sir? Oh good I caught you before you left the base. Look, Marcus Smithson’s aunt is going to be near the blast radius for that job you have scheduled so-yes. Yes I am aware that rescheduling is going to be a lot of work since most everything is already set up, but….but, sir think about poor Marcus! She’s his favorite aunt, and the woman refused to ‘reorder her life around some crazy mastermind’. ……no…..no, please do not kidnap the aunt, sir. It’s terribly rude. Yes I realize you weren’t going to keep her or doing anything other than drop her off at an alternative location, but, well, citizens frown upon that sort of thing and….yes….Yes, of course. You have a good day, too, sir.”

And they turn to their coworker and are just like “So if I don’t come in to work tomorrow it’s because Doctor Evil threw me in his dungeon and/or sent his hellhounds to maul me. Please remember to send help.

But but but… what happens when one falls through the cracks? When Lord Dominion or whatever does a typical baddie thing but then Penny’s new best friend gets caught up in the damage and Lord D didn’t even KNOW Penny had a new bestie so how was he to know? But now the kid is devastated and it’s all his fault? I mean, how does that even shake out?

Penny SWEARS REVENGE! Lord D is distraught but also somewhat proud. He sends Penny a very sincere apology and also a bunch of tips on how to execute a proper vengeance plot, in case she decides not to accept the apology. He sends henchmen to spy on her, and he keeps the surveillance photos of her sitting in her room, plans and schematics strewn all over her desk. He puts them in his wallet and brags to all his villain friends that one of his kids is taking up scheming, look at her go, she’s already started on pattern analysis of his latest heists. He’s so proud. Later this month he’ll show up on her way home from school so she can have her first Confrontation.

There will inevitably be mistakes and tragedies.

Penny is an intelligent kid. She catches on to the spying henchmen pretty quick and bribes some of them to her side with snacks. That first confrontation does not go like Lord Dominion expected because Penny has minions (minions that are using his OWN WEAPONS against him, even)

Lord Dominion is the proudest villain ever, even if he did almost lose an ear thanks to the impeccable aim of a nine year old with a grudge. He does let the laser blast graze him just so he can have a scar to show people because that girl is a villain after his own heart.

He doesn’t want to ask his villain rivals to help her out because that would imply he doesn’t think she’s capable of eventually growing strong enough to kick his ass. Turns out Penny already thought of that and has mailed letters asking for advice to Lady Sinister, Lord Dominion’s long time, mostly friendly rival. (She mailed a letter to Lord D’s arch nemesis, but man. Heroes are always trying to make you do The Right Thing. Penny doesn’t have time for the high road. Plus, the low road has lasers.)

Lady Sinister thinks Penny is the best thing ever and while she has mostly stopped kicking Lord D’s ass, she still breaks into his hideout to sit in his favorite chair with a glass of wine and brags about her new favorite up and coming villainess. (She doesn’t warn Lord D about the attack rabbits she agreed to train for Penny as a favor, and for obvious reasons, she is going to be a bystander at the next confrontation, filming everything on her phone to post the dark web so all their villain friends can see this)Being able to say that one is involved with the Project begins to look really good in parole hearings. The Villains involved perform their own quality checks on one another, because if one of their kids got hurt, then all of their kids could potentially lose out, and the ones that are serious about the Project are not having that. (Also, the ability to collaborate with other geniuses is the most interesting thing to happen to most of them since losing to various heroes, and most consider the intellectual stimulation to be worth putting up with the ridiculous egos and inevitable personality clashes that arise.)

Reformed Villains come out of the woodwork to advocate about better mental healthcare, and support systems. Savvy universities and private labs quietly take their advice, setting up better mental health supports and laboratory safety standards to prevent the Brain Drain caused by losing their less stable scientists to the Costumes.

The Villain Wrangler watches all of this develop with a smile.

Their plan succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.

I’m so down for these posts that assume the best of people instead of the worst

Okay, this part caught my attention: “…the Villain Wrangler has by now a meticulously set up method and intelligence network…to ensure that none of the children…gets hurt.” Which led me to the heartbreaking realization that one DID. Get hurt, that is, by the villain they idolized.

And all I can think is that the Villain Wrangler didn’t call in the heroes. They didn’t call in another heart-of-gold villain. No. The VW rolled up their sleeves and went after this person themselves. This project is their baby, after all. If they get the accolades for the successes, they must also shoulder the burden of the failures.

The VW hunts down the villain that crossed the line. Their punishment is swift and horrifying; no hero would have the stomach to mete out justice in such a way, and no villain would have the desire to get quite that much blood on their own hands.

There’s. So. Much. Blood.

The Villain Wrangler never forgets. They increase security, increase the hours and background checks, they increase the graveside visits to the child they failed.

Just the one. But one is one too many.

Birthday

i really don’t deserve you’

It was not the first time he has acted like an asshole for absolutely no reason at all. He used to do that all the time, but most of the times all I did was to ignore it and continue doing my thing. Ever since the band has taken off and started to get pretty significant places in the music industry his Attitude has been slowly changing and going in steps, first his assistants, then most of his managers, going all the way up to some of his family members and in the last two weeks, me.

Of course, I blame his fame, the stress and pressure of social media combined it made his entire personality changed drastically, or how other people would consider the right name for it, the fame got to his head, and it was starting to bother me, not in a soft or good way.

It was completely true that at this point it was starting to turn completely annoying but today was going to be what hopefully would be what fixed his mind and he would be the same Ashton he used to be. His birthday was finally here, and I knew he has been waiting for it for quite a while. 23 years seemed like a lifetime, and he had many good years to go. Everything was already planned out, I’ve been doing it for the past weeks and everything will be just perfect.

The alarm started ringing at 9 o'clock like every morning, and Ashton was annoyed by it the moment he heard it. Not opening his eyes but trying to reach for it with his hand, while I moved on the bed and reached it myself, turning it down and moving a bit closer to him. Giving him a hug.

“Do you really had to turn that thing on today?” He groans, pressing his eyes together even more. “For god’s sake, I’m very hungover (Y/n)”

I frown and ignore his annoyance, cuddling closing to him and hopefully making him feel a little better.

“I’m sorry” I pout and kiss his cheek “it’s your birthday!” I cheer in a soft voice “Happy birthday love”

He turns around and smiles a little, leaning up and pecking my lips “thanks, baby” he says leaning back on the bed “I’m old”

“Yeah, you need to stop growing” I joke “you’re closer and closer to your 30’s everytime” I say “stop it”

he chuckles “i wish i could” he says, rubbing his face with his hand “Okay i’m up now”

“Good” i smile to him and sit on the bed “How do you feel?”

“Old and hungover” he jokes he blindly looks for my hand under the sheets and takes it, so i pull him over a little so he could take a seat beside me “Hey, where’s my birthday kiss?”

i smile and lean a little bit pressing our lips together and giving him a nice morning kiss “Happy birthday” i mumble “I love you”

“Thanks babe, i love you too” he says “You look happy” he comments with a smile

“i am happy” i say with a proud smile “My baby is turning 23, I’m really happy”

he leans over pressing our lips together. “and i like that you are happy” he mumbles.

“It’s gonna be a fun day, i promise” i state. it was definitely going to be an interesting day.

It took me a while to figure it out to find the right outfit for today, also it took me a little bit to figure myself out, i was very very excited with all the surprises i had for him today, i couldn’t wait to see his face when he knew.

I had the entire day already planned for us, he is been working non-stop lately and barely had time for anything during the day, that’s why i decided to take him out to his favorite restaurant and buy him a nice meal to then take him to a really beautiful park i found not long ago and then at night, i had a big and awesome surprise party planned for him, it took some time but everything is going to be perfect and i will make sure nothing goes wrong.

I fix my dress before checking myself in the mirror one last time, i head out of the bedroom and walk downstairs. i hear him on the phone laughing and throwing out a repetitive conversation that he had already had various times today but still he was happy to do it.

“Thanks man! thank you very much” he smiles and turns to look at me, giving me a smile “When is it? oh…” he says, i see him extend his arm, silently telling me to come by his side and i do.

he slides his arm around my waist and pulls me closer to him, making me sit on his lap while he continued his phone call.

“Where?” he asks “oh great” he says after the other person on the phone gives a couple of words “I’ll be here then… oh well, it’s not a problem at all, see you later then” he says

He hangs the call, i look at him with a curious smile and kiss him cheek “What’s up?”

he shakes his head and smiles at me “Nothing much” he smiles “You look beautiful”

i smile “Thanks” i say “Who was it on the phone?” i ask curiously leading hand to his curl and caressing them

“oh it was Jeff, remember him? the one who does comedy stuff…” he says

i nod and smile “of course”

“Well” he starts “he and his girlfriend just told me that they are going to this really awesome festival and they told me I could come along, the guys are coming too! it’s great!”

i gasp and smile, i have never been to a festival, i heard it is really fun “Wow! that’s so cool at what time are we going?” i ask happily

“um, well, It’s kind of me going because…There’s just one ticket”

“Are you serious?” I say on a very quiet and surprised one “Are you fucking serious?” I ask again with a hint of anger in my voice.

“What?” he says like it was nothing “I’m going out with my friends on my birthday, what’s the matter?”

I can not believe him “You are going out with your friends to a festival when i was planning on taking you somewhere really nice” i repeat the situation to myself “you know? i don’t mind the fact you are doing that, but i do mind that you aren’t even going to try to take me with you”

“Ugh (Y/n), don’t be dramatic” he rolls his eyes at me. “it’s not my fault”

“I am not being dramatic! i am just saying, you’re totally excluding me and i am your girlfriend” i fight, now being totally angry “that totally shows how much you want me there for you” i say sarcastically.

“It’s not my fault! i wasn’t the one planning this shit, don’t blame me” he yells and turns around getting up from the couch and moving me aside “you are not the only one who is not going, Mitchy isn’t going either”

“Well, Mitchy has a ton of other things to do lately, it’s obvious he is not going!” i say still not believing any of this “i bet even your freaking ex-girlfriend is going” i groan

“yeah, So what?” he says annoyed

“She’s a bitch!” i yell, it was obvious “She made out with literally 5 guys on the same night! and 2 of them being our friends”

“it’s her business” he says rolling his eyes

“i know, but i don’t want her being all over you” i roll my eyes.

“What does that has to do with anything?” he says being very annoyed at me. “Look if you are really going to act like a brat because there is only one ticket for a festival and i am the one being invited, please at least do it behind my fucking back because i really don’t wanna hear it” he spats at me

my mouth widens and barely any words come out of my mouth. “Excuse me?” i say being very offended “I am not acting like a brat, Ashton, please understand, i don’t care you are going out with your friends! but i had something special planned for you and you are ditching me right now and you don’t even care, I really wanted to spend the day with you”

he rolls his eyes “You know? you don’t have to be around me all the damn time” he says, his words hit me like knives “i have a life and friends, i don’t need a clingy girlfriend”

“Maybe you shouldn’t have one then” i fight being too mad to even think about anything.

“Fine” he says shrugging and walking over to the front door, picking up his jacket and belongings on the way.

“Fine” i repeat.

“Fine!” he yells getting out of the house, the door blasting behind him.

Shit.

Oh shit, was this a breakup? Are we over? What is this?

i am so screwed. i am very screwed.

“Are you sure about this?” i hear Luke’s voice over the phone, the music blasting behind him but sounding muffled by some kind of barrier. “He sounded pretty serious of you guys being over or something, he’s mad”

i sigh. i have been crying like an idiot the entire day because of the events, but it wasn’t time to back up. “I am sure” i speak softly holding my phone close to my ear “Yeah sure we said some things but I’ve been planning this party for weeks and i mean… it’s his birthday” i say shyly

“I don’t know…” he says doubting a little.

“Please Luke” i whine already starting to be desperate “Just convince everyone to come to The Nice guy and call me 5 minutes before you get here, piece of cake”

he chuckles “He is very mad at you, you know?”

i sigh. i didn’t want to remember any of these, it was hard already the fact that i was single but the fact that i still loved him and i was hurt, it’s still his birthday i still want to do something nice to him.  “I know” i mumble trying to evict any tears to come out. "I still want him to have a nice birthday though after I got on his nerves, I just… want him to have a little fun tonight"

I swear I could almost hear him thinking from here and all I wanted is to give him a big hug after his words “We’ll be out of in 30” he says “I will call you when we are two block away from the place”

“Oh my god” I breath “thanks, thank you Luke” I say letting out a laugh of joy “thank you, thank you”

“No problem” he says kindly “see you there then” and hangs up the call

No words can explain how happy i was when he finally accepted. At the same time I was a bit scared, even though today’s fight between Ashton and I wasn’t our biggest fight, I ended up bad for us, he claimed to be ‘fine’ with our break up which now makes me wonder If he really meant it or not. I really hope not, it would be so heartbreaking to end things with him, he’s been by my side for a while now.

i walk out of the bathroom and look around trying to find  Mitchy somewhere, i dont take long to find him, he was right in the same spot where i told him to wait for me.

“Hey” i say smiling and touching his shoulder.

“Hi, how did it go?” he asks

“it was good, they are coming in about 30 minutes” i say smiling.

he nods “Great, are you nervous?” he asks me curiously

“Very” I say biting on my lip as a nervous habit “What if we are actually not together anymore?” I say being really nervous

He shakes his head “After all of these years? Cmon (Y/n) I don’t think he’s gonna end things with you over a stupid fight” he assures being really confident "now cmon, cheer up a little, don’t think too much, have a drink and relax”

I sigh and nod “thanks Mitch, I really needed a bit of support”

He smiles at me “no problem, that’s what friends are for” he says leaning a bit, kissing my cheek softly and walking back “I’ll get you a drink”

i thank him as he walks away from me. i was truly nervous for this, that fear of actually being single and losing the one i love was killing me inside, but it hurt me more and more everytime i think about it, by this time he could be cheating on me with some chick on that festival not even remembering that i exist, or he could be getting completely drunk and trying to convince one of his friends to let him stay at one of their places to not see me anymore. i really am hoping i am wrong and it is just me over thinking every single thing.

the minutes seem like hours and by the time the 30 minutes have passed i was already done with 3 of my drinks, being a bit tipsy by now. I didn’t want to speak to anyone on the party i was too nervous thinking on what to say when he gets here.

my phone vibrates on my little purse and i instantly pick it up.

“Talk to me” i say on a weird desperate voice.

“We are two blocks away” Luke voice says “Ash is on the other car so he has no idea”

i nod and mumble “Okay” hanging the call-up. running through the crowd making a weird motion with my hand trying to get the DJ’s attention, he already knew what to do.

the guy behind the panel stops the music when he sees and understands what i am trying to say “Alright everyone, the Birthday guy is almost here, turn off the lights and quiet down, this is a surprise party”

I manage to get on the front of the crowd while everyone gathered at the front door waiting for the guys to come from that door. at this moment I was very anxious and my hands were sweating like crazy, also the alcohol in my body was starting to make an effect on me I was hoping it didn’t made me say stupid things later. Before I could even notice, the lights were turned down and the room was completely silent waiting for the birthday boy.

I see people walking to the entrance and crossing the door. I see Luke’s face and then Ashton’s, he looks chill, the moment he crosses the door the lights are turned on and confetti falls off the ceiling while everyone yelled. “SURPRISE!”

His face was blank and at first he seemed confused by all of these people staring at him. He smiles and laughs seeing all of those familiar faces of his friends.

“Oh my god” he says, some of his friends walk up to him and give him hugs “thank you guys, who did all of this? Wow”

Mitch goes and gives him a hug. “All thanks to your girlfriend buddy”

“You did all of this?” He says being very surprised. His mouth being wide open.

I shyly smile looking down “I did” i shrug “it was a real trouble to manage getting the place, food, and everything but I did it!”

I say being excited on my last phrase “surprise” I add and smile to him.

His look soften and he walks up to me, not touching me but holding a straight look at me while I desperately waited for his next words. “You didn’t have to” he said looking around and then looking back at me, he seems to be unsure on if he should take my hands or not but he does anyways. Holding them tightly between his. “I feel really bad- you didn’t have to”

“I-It’s okay I don’t-” I stutter.

“No, (Y/n), Listen” he interrupts me “I feel bad, back at home I acted like a douche and you still managed to do all of this for my birthday-”

“I wanted you to have a birthday party” I say shyly

“I am so sorry” he says in sincere words “What we said bad there, I really don’t want us to break up and I am so sorry I excluded you”  he explains “I feel

Awful and I really want to make it up to you, okay?”

I smile a little, those words were music to my ears “thank you” I say smiling and hug him. For the first time in the entire day being able to hold him this close to me “I am sorry too”

“No, love, you don’t have to be sorry” he mumbles kissing my forehead “I am sorry it won’t happen again”

He holds me in his arm and he stay silent for a couple of minutes enjoying each other’s company, no one came over to interrupt us and that was just perfect. After this awful day of overthinking and worrying, he was finally here and we were fine, just fine.

“I really don’t deserve you” he mumbles close to my ear.

I put my hand on his chest and move him back a little. “What?” I say not understanding.

“I don’t deserve you” he repeats “you do all these nice things to me, and I treat you like… like I did before. I really don’t deserve you, you’re too good for me”

I shrug and shake my head “Ashton no..”

“It’s true” he says

“Maybe a little but listen, I love you, okay?, you work a lot and you stress, I know you might have changed because of that, but you are the same Ashton and I love you” I say to him taking his head in my hands and placing a kiss on his lips “I love you”

He smiles a little and kiss me back, I could almost feel how our relationship was getting better and better. That’s all I needed.

“How do you do it?” He ask when we finally separate from the kiss

“Do what?” I ask chuckling a bit.

“Just…Deal with my shit, how do you do that?” He asks shaking his head acting like he could not believe me.

“Ash” I say taking his face in my hands “You are the best human being I have ever meet and I don’t care how many times we fight, I still love you so much” I say speaking very clearly

“Wow” he says a bit surprised.

“What?” I ask with a smile.

“I love you so fucking much”

Ahhh! I've been looking for a blog with open requests thank you thank you! Can I have RFA +Saeran walking in on MC playing an instrument like really well? Like she'd been hiding it but they Caught her? Thank you! I would love you 5ever lololol

Maybe this isn’t as fluffy as you wanted, I tried to give MC some motivation for not wanting to play, and some of them are kinda sad, but I hope you still enjoy this!

RFA + Saeran reacting to MC playing an instrument really well

Zen

  • You told him you used to play violin as a kid, but never showed him, alleging you were rusty
  • It was one of his rehearsals on stage, you were watching this in your seat
  • When there was a problem with the sound system, the pre-recorded soundtrack from one of the song wasn’t working
  • He immediately looks at you and tells somebody in the staff to get a violin asap
  • “Come on, babe! You’ve got this!” “Zen, it’s been too long! It will sound awful!” “So my melodic and soothing voice will muffle any bad sounds. Please? I just need something to set the mood for my solo!”
  • How can you say ‘no’ to his pleading eyes? You agree hesitatingly. The staff guy hands you a violin.
  • Zen starts to sing as you gently move the bow on the violin’s chords. It starts a little rough, but you get used to it pretty quickly.
  • Everybody is staring at you, and Zen stops singing to watch you. Shit! Is it that bad? You stop immediately, puzzled.
  • “Babe, it’s wonderful!” he hugs you, and all the staff go “awwwww”.
  • Now he never rehearses his songs without your violin soundtrack.

Yoosung

  • You showed him photos of when you used to be on marching band at school
  • Yeah, he always wondered why there was a big tuba hidden on your closet, he never thought you actually played it, this thing seems so big for you
  • He begs you to play a little for him, you refuse telling how long has it been, you probably don’t even know how to do this anymore.
  • So he takes the tuba and tries to blow, it’s so cute because he’s so red and it can’t even make a sound.
  • He tries and tries, but bless his heart, he’ll pass out due to lack of oxygenation on the brain if he keeps going with this.
  • So you gently take the tuba and give him a few tips about how to properly breathe and how to place your lips correctly, showing him to do it in the process.
  • Then you realize you’re actually playing the tuba, and he’s watching you with all the attention in the world.
  • Did he just trick you to play to him? Oh, behind that cute face, there’s a mischievous brain…
  • “Oh, I think I got it, MC. Let me try again!” Nah, not really, he really just wanted to learn how to play.
  • He manages to make a very weak sound to come out of the tuba, and you aren’t even able to tease him as how much he’s celebrating to his little improvement.

Jaehee

  • She notices you have the tendency of drumming your fingers on the table, you always apologize if it’s annoying her
  • But it’s never annoying, because it sounds really rhythmical, as if you knew exactly how to drum.
  • She asks you and you shyly explain you used to play drum, actually, you were on a band in high school
  • You showed the photos and she loves it, you looked really cool back then, she would never say it out loud, but you looked “badass”
  • She wants to see you play so much, but you brush it off telling your old drum is at your parent’s place and you’re very rusty.
  • But she keeps begging, and you’re such a sucker when she pleads you just like that. Also, it’s a great excuse to take her to meet your parents lolololol
  • So there you are in your old room, she can’t hold back a chuckle seeing all the rock band posters, you were so different back then…
  • But yeah, probably not that different when you hit the drumsticks against each other says: “1… 2… 1, 2, 3, 4!” and start playing.
  • You even get a little cocky twirling one of the drumsticks in the palm of your hand before hitting the drums. You just really want to impress her.
  • Your father knocks at the door telling you to shut it down, and you immediately stop, he thinks you’re obeying him, but you just stopped to make out with your girlfriend.
  • Yeah, nothing much changed since you were a teenager, after all.

Jumin

  • C & R just bought a record company, the fist artists to sign up are this rock band
  • Even though he hates it, Jumin is doing PR and meeting the guys, he brought you along to make this bearable
  • You’re trying so hard not to fangirl, you love this band and are so happy they are making a comeback under your fiancée’s label record!!!
  • Jumin is bored as shit, but he keeps smiling and posing to the photos with the band.
  • One of the photographers suggests he should hold the bass, he refuses and passes it to you. “Here, why don’t you do it?” you look at him, puzzled.
  • You awkwardly take the bass and run your fingers on the chords, it’s been a while… “Do you play?” one of the guys in the band asks.
  • “She used to.” Jumin answers for you “See how it feels natural on her hands?” you’re blushing hard, it’s too hard to handle this interaction between your fiancée and the guy you used to have this huge crush when you were younger, and they’re talking about you!
  • The guys keep encouraging you to play a little, and how wouldn’t you do it? All the men you love are expecting this from you! So you play a famous bass line from one of their band’s songs.
  • The guys are cheering you and Jumin smiles softly. You told him how you had to sell your bass to pay a few bills and how much you missed to play it.
  • Luckily enough, now you’re earning this bass with the autographs from all the band’s members a a gift. Jumin can’t hold back his own smile seeing you so happy.
  • But his smile fades away as the guys get too excited about you, telling they want to take you on tour and everybody would pay attention to a bass player like you.
  • You smile politely, step away a little and hold Jumin’s hand. He’s not the rock star of your teenage dreams, he’s just… something even better. And you’re more into private jam sessions right now, with just you fiancée as your audience.

Saeyoung

  • Due to the background check, he is pretty aware of your passion for jazz and how you used to play the sax when you were a teenager.
  • He didn’t find any videos of you playing, though. What a shame…
  • But he knows you keep a sax on your closet, and he’s dying to watch you perform a little to him.
  • You are not sure what you’re looking at when he invites you to come over. He’s wearing a black beret, round shaped glasses, a black turtleneck sweater and black pants.
  • “MC, I would be so glad if we could inspire each other. I wrote this spoken word piece, would you play a little?”
  • “Saeyoung, it’s been so long.” “Oh, but what is time, MC? If nothing but this old man holding his pocket watch, watching us through his thick lens of despair, despairing at how much time he lost without living the fullest…” he talks dramatically, doing some contemporary dance moves with his arms.
  • Yeah, you have nothing to say, better put your lips on the sax’s mouthpiece and go along with whatever he’s trying to do.
  • As he keeps reciting something about space cats and salty and sweet flavors of HBC and Dr. Pepper dancing in his mouth, you just focus on playing the sax.
  • Why did you ever stop doing this? Yeah, maybe you couldn’t be a pro as you wished, but playing just for fun is awesome too, you shouldn’t have been so hard on yourself.
  • Saeyoung apparently agrees, as he’s watching you, mesmerized. He even stopped reciting his great poem just to listen to you and be transported to New Orleans, circa 1922.
  • When you finish, he’s applauding you. This will definitely be the main subject on his next poem.

Saeran

  • He also has a background check of you, and he knows you play piano! He even managed to get some videos of you doing recitals as a kid and as a teenager.
  • He lost count of how many times he watched those, and every single time, he whispered to himself: “So… fucking… cute!”
  • He would love to watch you live, but how could he manage to get a piano?
  • You’re organizing a RFA party, the first one since he officially joined the organization, he doesn’t care about anything , he just wants a piano at the party.
  • As the party is happening, you keep watching the piano player, Saeran notices and observes your fascinated face, you look like you’re on a trance.
  • “You alright?” “Yeah, sure, it’s just… I used to play piano to my sister when she was alive. I… didn’t feel like playing when she left. Is this silly?” oh… now he feels like an asshole, this piano is giving you bad memories!
  • “No, It’s not silly, I guess…” “Yeah… so hey, let’s get back to work!” and then everything felt wrong about that piano there. Shit, what was he thinking? He really thought you would just see the piano and feel this urge to play it? Stupid! That’s what he gets from daydreaming so much about you.
  • When the party is over, you two are working on make sure everything turned out as planned. He sees the empty room, and the piano there… ugh, he feels sick! And he can’t even look at you.
  • “Hey, what’s wrong?” “I’m sorry about the piano thing, okay? I thought you would like to play as soon as you would see it, I didn’t know, I…” “Hey, it’s fine! Don’t worry!”
  • You chuckle “That’s why you were so insistent on the piano?” he’s blushing. And he’s even redder when you sit on the bench. “Any requests from the audience?”
  • “Hey! You don’t need to do this for me! Come on!” “Nah, I want to, it’s been a while I don’t play to someone who’s so willing to listen. So… got any request?”
  • He loves everything you play, and he catches himself sitting beside you, completely hypnotized by your focused eyes and your agile fingers.
  • But what he really likes is when you teach him to play a few notes of “Three Blind Mice”. Your sister always smiled when you played this one, it was almost like the smile you’re receiving right now from him. Turning bad memories into good ones is so overwhelming.

My Teen Wolf Master List

It’s a Saturday summer night and for their one year anniversary Stiles had surprised Y/N with concert tickets to her favorite singer, Shawn Mendes. However, he didn’t just get her regular tickets. He went all out and bought her front row tickets and managed to score backstage passes to meet Shawn after the show.

Stiles knew it was the perfect gift and he was right. When he surprised her with the tickets just an hour before the concert, she flipped out. She screamed and jumped up and down with excitement before lunging at Stiles, smothering him with kisses and countless I love you’s as she clung to him like a monkey. She had been moping all week because the tickets sold out in a matter of seconds after going on sale. She had tried so hard to get some but had no luck. However, Sheriff Stilinski was friends with the manager of the concert venue and was kind enough to help Stiles get the tickets. Stiles knew this would get him the title of being the best boyfriend in the world.

However, right now Stiles was slightly regretting getting her the tickets, as she seemed to ramble non-stop about every awesome thing Shawn did tonight.

Summary: Seth is always flirting with you because he likes you but you know about his reputation, and you think he just wants to play with you. You say no whenever he asks you out until one night he wears you down and you agree to one date, that makes you realize maybe Seth Rollins isn’t that bad.

Note: Sorry if there are any errors, I didn’t proof read it but I wanted to get it posted because it’s been a while sense the request was made.

You stood with Enzo and Cass talking while half watching the match that was on the monitor. “How you doin?” You tried with slightly raised brows. Enzo shook his head and repeated his signature fraise, his thick accent putting emphasis on it. “How you doin?” You tried once more making Cass laugh and shake his head at you while Enzo groaned and rolled his eyes but smiled nonetheless. “Okay, one more time.” Enzo started making you nod eagerly, your ponytail bouncing as you did. You listened carefully to the way the blonde said the words and nodded carefully after a few seconds. “How you doin?” You nodded your head as you said, making Enzo and Cass clap. “I’m impressed.” Enzo nodded his head at you making you jokingly curtsy. “Thought you’d never get it.” Cass clapped a large hand on your shoulder before looking back at the match. A couple minutes passed before you felt an arm creep around your shoulders, making you quickly turn your head to see who it belonged to. Groaning and rolling your eyes you turned back to the monitor “What do you want Rollins?” You asked already annoyed by the superstars presence. “You.” He answered with a cocky smirk making you scoff and move away from him. “Not interested.” You deadpanned trying to get him to go away but the smirk never left his face. “Cmon Y/N, you know you want me.” You cleched your jaw and turned to face Seth. “Listen, I don’t want to be another girl you fuck and then dump.” You poked your finger into his chest as you spoke. “Oh baby you could be so much more than that.” Seth grinned and grabbed your finger, trying to intertwine your fingers. “I have to get ready for my match.” You groaned and turned on your heel, your ponytail smacking Seth in the face. As you walked away Seth watched your hips swing before turning to Enzo and Cass who watched on amused. “She totally wants me.” Seth grinned making the boys smile and nod at him. “Does Y/N even have a match tonight?” Cass muttered as Seth walked away. “Nope.” Enzo answered before the two of them smirked at each other.

You had backed Becky into the corner and were ready to deliver your finisher when a familiar theme hit. You paused and looked towards the stage where you saw Seth walking towards the ring casually. Becky took the opening and quickly shoved you off of her and towards the ropes. You bounced off of them and stumbled into a clothesline. The redhead tried to pin you for the three count but you managed to kick out. You quickly rolled out of the ring once she had pulled herself off of you, landing on your feet by the announce tables. You made your way over to Seth and stalked closer as you yelled at him. “What do you think you’re doing?” Your jaw was clenched and you were yelling over the crowd. “Just supporting my girl.” He shrugged casually and ran a hand through his damp hair. “I’m not your-” Your words were cut off when you felt Becky crash into you after she jumped at you from the ring. You were sent crashing head first into the barrier and the Irish lass kicker landed on top of you. You were barely aware of Seth flinching at the impact and moving to help you, but before he could reach you Becky made it to her feet. She pulled you into the ring by your hair, tossing you in front of her. You shook your head and tried to get to your feet but Becky managed to lock you into the dis-arm-her. You cried out as she pulled tighter on your arm when you tried to pull your way to the ropes. You put your face into the canvas and let out a scream before looking back up again, locking eyes with Seth. “You can do it Y/N!” He cried out to you and you shook your head while tears gathered in your eyes. You had to tap out and once your hand hit the canvas a couple times Becky released you and stood up to be announced the winner. You rolled over and grabbed your hurt arm as you waited for the redhead to leave the ring. You slowly sat up and looked around at the crowd in despair before your eyes locked on Seth. You sneered at him and glared as you shakily stood up. “This is your fault!” You growled and hobbled forwards a few steps. “I didn’t mean to Y/N.” Seth tried to save himself but you suddenly launched yourself out of the ring towards him. He somehow managed to catch you and throw you over his shoulder quickly, careful of your injured arm. “Put me down you piece of crap!” You struggled against his strong grip while he chuckled at you. “Now why would I do that sweetie? The view is pretty good from here.” You gasped when he brought one of his rough hands onto your bottom. “I swear to god Rollins.” You flailed around more as the crowd cheered at his actions. Seth started up the ramp with a proud smirk while you struggled in his hold, desperate to get of the players grip. Once you were backstage you managed to wiggle your way out of his grip, stumbling slightly when you dropped to the ground. “This is why I would never go out with you.” You spat out making him freeze for a second before he chuckled at your words. “Yeah okay.” He chortled sarcastically making you huff as you shoved him before walking away from him.

You laughed at the joke that Xavier had just told as Charlotte rushed around the corner and headed straight towards you. “He’s coming.” She let out as she paused beside you. You were shocked that Charlotte of all people had warned you that Seth was headed towards you but you let the blonde drag you around another corner quickly. You heard the boys of the New Day let out confused noises before they shushed. “Rollins.” You heard Kofi greet the bane of your existence. “Hey guys…you seen Y/N around?” His rough voice made you bite your lip and glance at Charlotte nervously. “Nope, can’t say we have.” Big E lied for you making you shut your eyes in relief. “Oh okay. I just wanted to congratulate her on her win.” You raised your brows in shock while Charlotte shot you a confused look. “Yeah, it was a great win.” Kofi agreed. “Did you see the way she jumped off the top rope and sent her and Bayley through the announce table?” Seth gushed, his tone excited. You heard one of the guys hum in agreement as you and Charlotte shared a look. “Yeah that was awesome.” Xavier agreed. “Y/N’s always awesome. Anyways, if you see her around let me know.” Seth said goodbye before leaving the way he came. “That was weird…” Charlotte muttered as you walked out from your hiding place. “You can say that again.” You agreed making the blonde smile at you. As you approached the 3 guys they all turned to you with knowing looks on their faces. “What?” You asked making Big E smirk at you and wiggle his brows. You glanced at Charlotte and she shrugged, mouthing that she didn’t know what they were talking about. “Y/N, that is a man that is completely and utterly in love with you.” Xavier said matter of factly. You scoffed and shook your head, opening your mouth to argue but Kofi quickly shushed you. “Exhibit A; He was looking for you. Seth Rollins doesn’t look for anyone, he lets people come to him.” You cocked out your hip and raised a judging brow. “Exhibit B; He called you awesome and gushed about you. A guy that refers to himself as The Champ does not simply call some girl awesome and blabber about her like that.” Xavier raised his brows and sent a goofy look making you roll your eyes while Charlotte thought about it. “Exhibit C; The way his face lit up when he talked about you. Girl have you not noticed how happy that man gets around you?” Big E sassed making you raise your brows in shock and smile slightly. “Ya know Y/N, they’ve got a point.” Charlotte agreed making you tilt your head up and roll your eyes with a groan. “Seth does not like me. He just wants to play me.” You finished the conversation and stalked off, angry at your friends for saying that and angry at yourself for wishing that it was true.

“Uh oh.” Eva sang out with a smirk on her red lips. “Rollins at 12 o’clock.” Maryse answered your silent question with a smirk of her own. Turning in your seat you saw Seth talking to some of the guys. “Ugh.” Was your response as you turned back to your friends. Maryse rolled her eyes while Eva sent you a knowing look over the brim of her drink. “Just admit that you like him.” Maryse pushed your arm making you pout and take a sip of your drink. “I don’t like Seth. I don’t like the way his hair looks so soft, I don’t like the way his chocolate brown eyes light up whenever he’s near me, and I certainly don’t like that stupid smirk.” You huffed out in your tipsy state, chugging down the last of your drink. Eva and Maryse shared a look before they both giggled at you making you raise a confused eyebrow. “What?” “Nothing.” Maryse quickly answered your question making Eva shoot her an incredulous look before the redhead looked back at you. “What else do you hate about him?” You widened your eyes goofily and muttered about how it could take it a while to list everything. “I hate how nice his back is, like have you seen it? It’s amazing. But the front is just as good as the back, his stupid abs are always in view cause he walks around shirtless half the time. Oh, not to mention how tempting it is to pull his hair, trying to get him to make that stupid growl that he always does in the ring. You know the one…” You faded off and tried your best to growl. Your friends laughter stopped and their eyes widened at something behind you making you ask what they were looking at before you turned around. You gasped when you realized that Seth Rollins was standing behind you, smiling widely at your growling. “That’s what what you think I sound like? Should I be offended sweetheart?” He teased you with a chuckle. You stuttered for a response, looking to Eva and Maryse for help but they were useless. “Don’t be so worried sweetheart.” His brown eyes were playful and devious. “Did you hear…” You faded off too embarrassed to continue your sentence. “Everything that you just said? Yes, but I’m willing to forget if you go on a date with me.” You groaned as his request and rolled your eyes slightly. “One date Y/L/N, I promise I’ll be on my best behaviour.” You bit your lip and looked into his eyes. “You get one chance Rollins. Impress me.” You wren’t sure if it was the alcohol or your strong urge to be wrapped in his arms that made you give him a chance even though you were almost positive that he would only hurt you. “Really?!” He asked in shock, his jaw dropping slightly making Eva and Maryse giggle. “I mean,” He cleared his throat “Prepare to be impressed sweetheart.” His reaction made you roll your eyes but an affectionate smile made its way onto your face. “Now let me enjoy my girl time.” You pushed him away from you gently and he smiled widely at you once more before he disappeared into the crowd. “Get it!” Eva laughed once you turned to face the redhead and platinum blonde. “Shut up.” You giggled and waved over the bartender.

You shivered as the crisp night air got through the thin material of your nylons causing goosebumps to appear on your legs, your heels clicking against the pavement.

Seth noticed you shivering and he quickly shrugged out of his leather jacket and draped it around your shoulders as you walked towards his car. “You’re gonna be cold.” You argued and went to give him the jacket back. “I’ll be fine, besides it looks better on you than it does on me.” He smiled sweetly at you making you look down with a small blush. “Thanks for tonight.” You grinned at him when you reached the car making him raise his brows in surprise. “Thank you Y/N, I still can’t believe you said yes.” You smiled at his happiness and got into the car once he unlocked it. The beginning of the ride was silent, quiet music playing of of the radio as you inhaled Seths smell that was floating off the jacket. “Why did you say yes? I thought you hated me.” You turned to face Seth, admiring the way the streetlights made his eyes shine. “I never hated you. I just wanted a big fan of your history with women, and then when you started hitting on me I got worried.” You explained softly watching his reaction closely. “Why did you get worried?” He took a quick glance at you before focusing back on the road. “Because I knew that if you tried hard enough I wouldn’t have been able to resist.” You admitted with a bashful smile, your words making him smile widely. “I’m glad I tried hard enough.” “Me too.”

You felt Seth squeeze your hand in his when he glanced down at your intertwined hands. He had walked you to your apartment door and the two of you were just standing in the hall, silently admiring each other. You brought your free hand up to trace a finger down the bridge the of his nose and across his lips, finishing the invisible line at his chin. He smiled and tried to watch your finger but ended up going cross eyed making you giggle lightly. “So did I impress you?” His words were soft compared to his usual loud tone. “I don’t know, did you?” You teased him quietly, glancing down to his mouth before looking back at his brown eyes. “I’m about too.” His cocky attitude was back, making you smile and close your eyes as he leaned down to press a slow kiss to your lips. He leaned in more as you kissed back and cupped his jaw lightly, feeling his fingertips dancing across your waist. “Consider me impressed.” You pulled away a bit to mumble your words into his mouth before you drew his mouth back to yours, the kiss more passionate than the last. A minute later he gently pulled away from you and tugged you into a hug, his arms around your shoulders while you hugged his waist. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” He mumbled a goodbye into your hair before pressing a long kiss to the crown of your head. “Okay.” Your words were muffled by his broad chest and you pressed a sweet kiss to his chest. You pulled away and unlocked your door, taking a step in before remembering that you were wearing his jacket. You turned back to Seth and tried to give him back the coat but he simply shook his head “Keep it. Give it back to me another time.” His simple words sent butterflies through your stomach and you nodded gently. “Bye.” You waved slowly and he just smiled at you as you shut your door. “Not bad Rollins.” You whispered to yourself as you leaned against the door with a goofy smile on your face. “Yes!” You heard his voice ring out in the hallway making you giggle and sniff the jacket before heading to bed.

Chapter 7- The things we keep hidden.

“Last chance ass hats; leave.” Robyn said, standing her ground.

The horse with the bolt cutters had heard enough and swung the bolt cutters down at Robyn, she dodged them easily and kicked the stallion in the gut with such a force he was knocked into the side of his pick up truck with a visible dent….that was impossible Robyn was around the 17 pound mark in weight yet she managed to kick and launch 1500lb horse with little effort, The medicine!? She thought it gave super strength too! When Robyn realised what she had done she felt a surge of energy course through her, she was going to teach these thieves a lesson she bared her canine like teeth and grinned at the other horse who looked terrified and simply said “Playtime.”

“What the hell are you!?” The thieving horse babbled.

“I’m not sure myself.” Robyn tittered, loving the petrified look on the horse’s face.

“Little freak!” The thief crowed before throwing a punch down towards the much shorter hybrid.

Robyn saw this move coming and easily sidestepped the equine grabbing his arm as she did so, she flipped him on his back with a judo throw then like flash but him in a crippling arm lock “You really are as a dumb as you look.” Robyn sniggered, unaware that Kodi had gotten out his phone and started recording what was transpiring.

Mutual...Respect (The Flash, Leonard Snart x Reader)

Summary: After months of being together, you finally convince Leonard to tell Team Flash about the two of you. Going to Cisco for help, however, is more mortifying than you thought it’d be…

Word Count: 1800

Warnings: For once, I don’t think there are any warnings. If there are, please let me know and I’ll add them!

A/N: Fulfilling a request sent in by anon! This is my very first time writing for Leonard Snart, so please bear with me on this! Since I haven’t watched Legends yet, this is set in Season 2, before the timeline was reset. Probably not too relevant to the plot but just so there’s not any confusion.

Falling in love with Leonard Snart was not on your bucket list.

Then again, neither was aligning yourself with vigilantes and working with the Flash, but at least they were good, not on the fence all the time and “in between” good and evil.

Plus, Barry didn’t freeze your feet to the ground and give you severe frostbite (you almost lost, like, six of your toes), and you kept asking yourself why you couldn’t have fallen for him instead. Seriously, when you do the comparisons, Barry seems like the better choice, and yet here you were, rambling off to Cisco, about your confusing love life.

“So…let me get this straight,” Cisco said, giving you a slightly confused look, “you like Captain Cold, who threatened me to spill Barry’s identity, who kidnapped Caitlin, who literally froze you to the ground, and who has a really hot sister that actually likes me and -,”

“This is not about Lisa, Cisco.”

HOW WE CAME TO BE pt 1

Prompts #43  “Is that blood?” “No?” “That’s not a question you answer with another question.”

A/N: This was requested with another prompt, but I planned it to where the other prompt meshes with someone else’s. You know what it’s like to get something in your head and not be able to go back on it, right? It’s a force.

Remember that these are all sort of connected together. You could read them as stand-alone, but that’s up to you. So the timeline may not be in order but just imagine it like This Is Us (unless you’ve never seen an episode of that show or just have never heard of it.)

As I’m doing my finishing touches and edits, I’m just starting season 6. I found “Sigh No More” by Mumford and Sons after writing this. I’m just putting that info out there. Do what you want with it. This is approx. 2360 words. Oh, my goodness.

There’s no way this is happening,” you thought to yourself as you looked at the stick in your hands. “Holy ice cream, Batman.

The stick hadn’t given a response at that point, but you knew. There was no doubt in your mind, you knew. There were so many things that should have been going through your mind. But you couldn’t actually form a coherent thought. You thought maybe you were afraid, maybe not. Maybe you were worried about how Spencer would take it, maybe not. Maybe you were concerned about what you would do about money, but then maybe you knew it would all work out. Everything was a maybe, no actual concrete feeling.

“Oh, gosh.” You placed a hand on your head and sat on the edge of the toilet in your bathroom. YOUR bathroom, because you and Spencer hadn’t even been living together.

You gathered yourself after staring into space holding the test in your hand for more than a few minutes. You got up from your seat on the tub edge and tossed the offending plastic into the trash, you didn’t need to see the results. You needed Haagen-Dazs. You wished you could blame all of your Haagen-Dazs cravings on a baby.

By the time you got your gray pea coat buttoned and went to slip on your black ballet flats, your phone was ringing. You heaved a great sigh and fished it out of your pocket. You answered it without looking at the ID.

“Emotionally Drained and* Sorta Dead Inside, speak.”

“Uh, Y/N?”

Your eyes grew as big as The Grinch’s heart after he discovered the true meaning of Christmas. “JJ?!?”

“You okay? You’re not usually so melodramatic when you answer the phone. Okay, I take that back, you’re not so out of it and melodramatic when you answer the phone. Is everything alright?” Your boyfriend’s co-worker’s voice called through the other end.

“What? No…yeah- I’m fine. I’m- Is everything okay on your end? You don’t usually call in the middle of the work day.” You stood in your doorway, unsure if you were going to be putting your shoes on or not.

“Well,” JJ sighed. “Look, I know it’s your day off and so does Spencer.”

“What’s wrong?” You fingered the set of keys in your hand and slipped your shoes on. There goes my Haagen-Dazs.

The woman stalled for a few breaths. “JJ.”

“Spencer had a small accident. It’s nothing major-”

“What? If it were nothing major, you wouldn’t have called or started this conversation the way you did.” You opened the door and closed it quickly behind you, completely forgetting to lock it. “Which hospital is he at?”

“See that’s the thing, Y/N, he’s not. He opted out. He’s not in any immediate danger, but you know we have rules and protocols. I’ve never seen him refuse medical attention like this before. At least not when…”

“Right, the Dilaudid.” You fast-walked down the sidewalks towards the closest bus stop that would get you to your destination the fastest. “I’m going to assume y’all are back at your building?”

JJ sighed in relief. “I can have someone come pick you up?”

“I’m already at the bus stop. The bus will be here in about,” you checked your phone for the time. “Half an hour. Ugh.”

You scrunched your nose at the oncoming nausea making its way through your system. This was NOT the day for all the…hullabaloo. Maybe if I can convince Spence to go to the hospital, I can sneak off for a minute. Do I need a prescription for prenatal vitamins?

Sometimes you do, why?” You heard JJ say, quickly remembering you were on the phone with her.

“What? Why what?”

“You asked if a prescription was needed for prenatal vitamins. It depends on what you need. Why would you ask, Y/N?”

I need to stop saying inside things on the outside. “No, I didn’t.”

“Y/N…”

“You said you could get me a ride? That’d be awesome. You can find out where I am from my phone’s GPS, right? Cool. I’ll see you guys soon.” You quickly ended the call and took a deep breath.

You were screwed.

Penelope Garcia, your favorite cousin of a friend to ever exist, was the one to pick you up. She had located you via GPS and was very quick.  She didn’t say anything that led you to believe that JJ had relayed to her what you discussed earlier. All that was mentioned was that Spencer and a suspect had gotten into a small…tiff… and your boyfriend was refusing to go to the hospital.

When you made it to the bullpen, it was empty of the team. Penelope walked away after surveying the room, and you followed her into the conference room. Spencer, you found, was sitting in a chair surrounded by his co-workers. You didn’t see Derek Morgan, but you could feel it the second JJ laid her eyes on you. Hotch was explaining to you in detail what had happened. Spencer wouldn’t look you in the eye, and you wondered if it were because he knew you’d want him to go in. You, however, were busy making sure that JJ’s eyes wouldn’t catch yours. For some reason, the shame in the room was palpable, but you didn’t know why. What was Spencer so upset about? And why were you so scared about JJ knowing the truth?

“Is that blood,” you asked while looking at where the collar of his shirt met his skin.

Spencer rolled his lips inward. “No?”

“Spencer! That’s not a question you answer with another question!” You fingered the cloth and gently pushed it out of the way so you could see what the injury better.

“Will you please tell Pretty Boy that he needs to go get checked by the actual doctors at the actual hospital?” Garcia had one hand on her hip and stared her co-worker down.

“I am a-” Spencer began but was silenced when her finger wagged in his face.

“Don’t even.”

Spencer heaved a sigh and then looked at you, almost pleadingly. He played up the puppy dog eyes, and it would have worked, had it not been for the cut under his eye and bruising along his cheek and nose. Looking down you could see some of his button up undershirt had been torn, and there were some cuts under that, too.

“Get your stuff. We’re going. No arguing.” You raked your fingers through your hair, still trying to fight off the nausea. “I’m sure you’re completely fine and a-OK, but if you don’t go in, I’m going to pull my hair out from getting it from your co-workers. And then I’ll have to go to the God-awful salon and listen to them nit-pick everything about me, and I’m not about to deal with that.

Someone softly cleared their throat, and you blinked a few times and sighed. Hormones off the charts, check. Next thing I’ll do is barf over everything.

“Are you feeling OK? You’re looking a little green. Someone can take Spencer instead if you feel you need to lay down.” Your boyfriend’s supervisor asked.

You closed your eyes and took a deep breath. You leaned on the chair sitting in front of you and then looked up shaking your hair out of your face. “No, I’m fine. I just…had a crazy morning. I can take him, it’s not an issue.”

“Y/N…” Your boyfriend looked up at you almost in worry.

“Spencer, I’m fine. It’s nothing to worry about. Let’s just get you checked out and take you home, hmm?” You leaned towards him and gave him a gentle kiss on his cheek while grabbing his coat.

Looking up, you accidentally caught JJ’s eyes and you had a silent and brief conversation. You knew she’d be calling you later, but you also knew she wouldn’t say anything to anybody. She had gone through the same thing. You were grateful already.

When you and Spencer were situated in the waiting room of the hospital, he kept eyeing you. You knew he could tell something was off. You also knew that there was no way he would be able to figure it out so soon. He’d been so busy lately that he hadn’t been around to really see any of the signs.

The second he grabbed your hand and interlaced your fingers, you relaxed. You sort of leaned against his arm and laid your head on his shoulder, trying not to irritate any of his injuries. Feeling his breathing was soothing you and you wondered if there was something biological about it because your nausea cut down. Maybe that was going to be a positive sign for the future. Although, no one could make you feel the way Spencer could.

“I love you,” you blurted with your head still tucked in the crook of his neck.

Spencer squeezed your hand and hummed “I love you, too, Y/N.”

It had taken about 15 minutes before the two of you got called back but eventually, you were shown to a room. Spencer sat on the examination bed and you sat in the chair over in the corner. It was silent for a few minutes while you waited for the doctor to come see you. But just because it was silent didn’t mean the room was loud with tension, thick with it.

Oh, Spencer could definitely tell something was up. You wouldn’t meet his eyes, and you knew your snappiness back at the bureau was completely out of character. You might be able to use the “no sleep” excuse with him, but the second you’d voice it he’d want to come home with you. He’d want to be somewhere close to keep an eye on you. The thing was, was that if he did that, then you wouldn’t be able to hide the morning sickness that you knew was coming.

“Are you going on ‘Spencer Watch’ when we get out?” He wasn’t looking at you, and he was fiddling with his sleeve cuff.

Maybe it’s not me I should be worried about.

A few seconds passed, and he still wouldn’t look at you. You were about to get up and try to figure out what was wrong when someone walked into the room. You’d hold it in until you were on your way back home.

Spencer had been cleared by the doctor after the cuts and bruises were deemed superficial. He didn’t need any stitches, just some R&R. He was driving while you studied his profile. His demeanor was still wary.

“Were you worried that you would have to be on painkillers? Is that why you were so ashamed and afraid to go get checked out?”

Silence.

You grabbed his hand and held it tight. “I believe in you, Spence. Believe in yourself, huh? Believe that you’re going to be okay. I’m here for you, and I’m not going anywhere.”

Spencer let out a breath and gave a delicate smile. “Yeah, I know. Same goes for you.”

Uh-oh.

You forced your eyes to look out the windshield and away from him. There was no way he could have figured it but you knew deep down that it was entirely possible that he already did. The guy was a genius. A profiler for the FBI. He didn’t get to where he was by accepting things at face value. He was better than that.

“You shouldn’t be afraid to tell me things, Y/N. You know all of my secrets, deeply hidden or not.” He put the car in park and turned as best as he could still in his seat belt. “What’s going on in my favorite brain?”

You giggled as he playfully ruffled the hair on top of your head. Running your fingers through your locks to set everything back in its place, you thought it over but ultimately came to a single conclusion.

“It’s work. We’re prepping for a new resident and it’s off-putting for the ones that are there, and it’s a whole new schedule and process and…it’s just all so much. We haven’t had an official meeting yet, and it just feels like everything is closing in. For some of us workers, it’s the first time adjusting to a new resident. I don’t know…It’s just…a lot of stress. And I’m not entirely sure I’m over losing my first one. We weren’t close, but she was still a human that I took care of.”

You didn’t dare look him in the eye. You were lying through your teeth, and it was eating at you.  I am the worst person ever.

Spencer tucked some of your hair behind your ear, and he studied you. When you eventually looked up, you could see it in his eyes. He accepted your words, but he didn’t believe them. Not for a second.

I’m so sorry, Spencer. “Things just feel like they’re getting out of hand.

He looked away and lightly nodded. He licked his lips, and you felt nausea again. You never hid anything from him and now he knew you were holding something big. Things were going to change, and you didn’t think it was going to be for the better.

But I can’t tell him yet.

Do you want to stay and order some Thai?” Please. Please don’t leave yet.

“I should head back to the office and let them know I’m in one piece. Plus the doctor said to take it easy while I can.” This time it was Spencer that wouldn’t look at you while he spoke.

“Right.” You unhooked your seat belt and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “I’ll talk to you later, then?”

A nod.

Noticing the dismissal for what it was, you eased yourself out of the car and walked up to your apartment and unlocked the door. You kept an eye out of your peripheral and watched as he drove away after making sure you got in OK. You tossed your keys into the jar on the side table and leaned against the door. Tears followed the deep breath you released and you tried to keep the sobs inside.

What have I done?

BEST FRIEND’S BIAS {part 1}

Walking through the mall, you laughed with your friend, Adrianna, as she recapped her incredibly terrible first date the other night.

Then he walks back from the bathroom like he hadn’t been gone for a long period of time and looks at me like I kicked a puppy because I took one spoonful of ice cream without him. Like, I’m sorry? It’s MY ice cream. She laughed and the two of you continued to talk as you walked.

So I’m guessing that a second date would be a no-go? You asked as you sifted through sweaters.

Y/N. Adrianna said and you looked up to have her giving you the most unenthusiastic look that made you chuckle.

I’m sorry for even asking. You replied and continued to go through the clothes.

So tell me about your date night? How’s Mr. Wonderful? I still haven’t met the guy. She began to spout off, much to your dismay. At that moment, you wished you could hide in the clothes, but instead you looked at her.

He’s good. You said simply and went back to skimming the racks of brightly colored clothes.

Y/N! She exclaimed and you laughed again.

I’m not telling you any more than that. He’s nice, but we aren’t serious, so I just want to see where this goes before I start spouting it off to everyone. You said, which wasn’t a lie, but it wasn’t necessarily true. The other half to why you weren’t telling her everything was that it was Jeon Jungkook and that was your best friend’s ultimate bias. She could go on for hours about him and you would just have to sit there, listening to your best friend gush about your boyfriend. You had initially met Jungkook by accident, the two of you had sparked up a conversation at a coffee shop when he asked for your number. Part of your New Year’s Resolution was to be more open to new experiences, so when you usually would have told him no, instead you gave him your number. It wasn’t until he had texted you that night that you realized that it was Jungkook. Since then, the two of you were forced to keep it pretty low key.

Most of the time, the two of you just spent date night at your apartment because of all of the cameras surrounding him. Jungkook had to continue to hide the relationship, even though he didn’t want to, and you were going to tell your best friend, but things came up. You could remember it like it was yesterday. Your friend burst into your apartment and sighed as she sat on the couch.

What’s up, boo? You asked as she huffed and threw her face dramatically into the pillow.

Jungkoo as m shmirlfend. She mumbled, muffled by the plushy pillow in her face.

What? Leaning closer to her, she lifted her head and sighed.

Jungkook has a girlfriend. Look! She exclaimed and showed you the phone. Right there was a picture of you and him standing by an ice cream shop, but due to the angle, your face was completely hidden. Look at how happy he is! Ugh, I hate her! Adrianna crossed her arms and pouted, like a five year old told she couldn’t have any candy, as you discreetly took out your phone to text Jungkook. He responded that BigHit was going to come out with a statement that you were just a fan that walked up to him, so it wouldn’t be a problem for him. But it was on that day that you realized just how difficult it would be to tell Adrianna of your relationship. Sighing, you rubbed her back as she continued to bash you without even knowing.

Like who the hell does she think she is?! She exclaimed before getting a notification. Oh! I guess she was just a fan that Jungkook took to get ice cream. UGH! She put the phone up to her chest. Isn’t he the sweetest? Adrianna asked as she looked back at her phone, you put on a fake smile and rolled your eyes.

Now as you skimmed the stores, you looked up at her, Adrianna was texting or tweeting, looking completely preoccupied. Her Jungkook phone case made your heart sink as your eyes glazed over with thought. Your phone buzzing took you out of your trance. Jungkook was calling, but you quickly ignored it so she wouldn’t see and continued to skim the racks. Then a text came in.

Wanna grab lunch? – JK

Who’s that? Adrianna asked behind you and you jumped with surprise, almost sending your phone straight into the air.

Oh my god, don’t do that! You exclaimed and put your phone back in your purse. Did you find something? You asked to get her off the subject and she smiled.

ISN’T THIS ADORABLE?! She held up a top and you nodded.

Go try it on, I’m still looking. You said as she skipped to the dressing room. Taking your phone out, you texted Jungkook.

Out with Adrianna, maybe next time. – Y/N

Before you could put your phone back, you got a response.

Bring her with! I got the guys with me, so we can make it a little meet and greet, she’s a fan right? – JK

The response made every pore on your body immediately begin to sweat as you tried to think of a way out of it.

Y/N! Isn’t this adorable on me? She questioned and you looked up to see her twirling around.

Very cute! You responded, your phone buzzed again.

You said you were going to the mall right? See ya soon, babe ;) – JK

The sweat then turned into goosebumps as you felt a cold shiver go down your spine.

Uhm, Adrianna, wanna grab lunch with some people? You asked as she nodded enthusiastically.

Awesome! I’ll go pay! She said and walked back into the dressing room. You face palmed yourself as you tried to think of an escape route, but nothing came to mind. Reality was about to bite you in the ass.

LOVED your fic recs! You mentioned that you had runner-ups, what are they? I'm curious because we have similar fic tastes and I've read most on your list.

Thanks mate! I’m glad you appreciated that and yes, I was originally going to post 15 fics, but I cut it down to 10 because I’m a lazy bastard. The following are honorable mentions to my treasure trove (or part two, view it anyway you want.)

  • Make a Wish by AcrobatElle
    • Rated: E
    • Noted Features: Wish Realm!AU, Canon Divergence (Season 6), Wish Realm Fix It, Older!Killian, Porn with Feelings
    • Author’s Description: Stuck in the Enchanted Forest after her wish was granted, Emma seeks out Killian. She doesn’t expect what she finds.
    • Rose’s Review: If I were a bigger cunt than I already am, I would just download this fic and sent it to A&E and be like “See this? This is what you should have done you bloody fucking wankers instead of going for the laugh!” (I’m not bitter I promise.) This isn’t just amazingly crafted Captain Swan smut, it’s amazingly crafted Captain Swan smut that rips out your heart and makes you weep for Wish!Hook because he’s just so unhappy but so gracious and in love with Emma (all Killians are in love with all Emma’s, let’s just face it). He really could have been bitter but he’s just so accepting and encouraging of Emma and his main verse self that it makes you want to curl in a corner with a bottle of rosé and weep to “White Flag” by Dido. It doesn’t make you cry because it’s angsty, it makes you cry because they just fucking love each other so much and Wish!Hook kinda gets the raw deal because he has no Emma of his own. He arguably doesn’t really exist but you still feel bad because despite the fact he was unhappy that doesn’t mean he didn’t have a good heart. Ugh. Just read it and have feels.

And Then There Were Three

Epilogue to the Adlock ficlet “And Four To Go…” Part 1/3

Set post-TFP

There is a black car parked in front of Baker Street when they return, and he doesn’t know how it’s possible, but his heart lifts and sinks at the same time.

He does not look at the Woman. Instead, he looks up at the building he calls home.

It looks like hell.

The walls are black and scorched from the explosion and he can see unrecognizable debris through the broken windows. The police and firemen have come and gone in their absence, leaving a hollow, blackened, smoldering mess behind.

The bedrooms are probably intact, but God knows what state they’re in now, and the sitting room with all of his research artifacts and mementos from old cases, and the kitchen with all his experiments are no doubt ruined.

Still, the light burns ever on in Mrs. Hudson’s kitchen.

Kate is waiting for them at the table where Mrs. Hudson has served her tea and biscuits. There is another empty seat at the table across from Mrs. Hudson’s with a small pile of cushions on the chair, as though its absent occupant was too short to reach the table. Instead of tea, there is a half-empty glass of milk sitting in front of this chair. The two plates beside it are empty with nothing left but a few crumbs as though the occupant had consumed the biscuits ravenously and asked for more.

He’s not surprised. The boy loves Ginger Nuts.

At the sight of the Woman, Kate rises and points in the direction of the sitting room.

The Woman pushes past him, past the kitchen and into Mrs. Hudson’s sitting room where there is a small bundle of blankets curled up on the lumpy sofa.

He can hear the boy’s light, whiffling snore and he can see the blankets moving up and down gently in time to his son’s deep breathing… and something is released in his chest, like a Gordian knot suddenly cut loose. The relief that floods through his system is so profound, he feels almost light-headed and he has to hold onto the door’s frame to keep himself upright.

It doesn’t matter that the boy was never in actual physical danger, that he knew the explosion on the phone this morning was fake. Seeing that the boy – his son – is alive and whole, innocently sleeping on Mrs. Hudson’s couch, and blissfully unaware of the events of this wretched day… it … he can’t…

He has no words for the what he is feeling right now.

He wants to fall to his knees beside the Woman, who is brushing back the mop of dark curls from the boy’s forehead, the rich voice that sends shivers of lust and fear in equal measure down the spines of greater men now murmuring sweet endearments into the boy’s ear.

He wants to feel the boy’s sturdy little limbs as she does, to make sure he is still real, still whole – still his Nero – after all that has happened today.

But he doesn’t.

Instead, he stands stiffly at the door, holding himself tightly, because if he moves — if he moves, he doesn’t know what he will do. If he speaks, he doesn’t know what he will say. What this tremendous, inexplicable relief will pull out of him.

And so he keeps the outpouring behind a tight, impenetrable dam inside him.

Vaguely, he can hear Lestrade, Mycroft and John crowd in behind him. Kate and Mrs. Hudson are close behind. He can feel their curiosity burning as they see the boy, but he ignores them all. The boy’s blue eyes – so like his mother’s – open blurrily and their sleepy blue gaze focuses on the Woman.

“Mummy?” Nero’s voice is thick with sleep, but he can hear the delight in it as the boy sees his mother. “Mummy! You’re back!”

The Woman smiles at the boy beatifically – the kind of smile that would otherwise be foreign and strange on her cold, marble face, but around the boy, it occurs naturally and spontaneously. The boy reaches out and puts his arms around her neck.

She rises from her kneeling position on the floor and lifts him easily along with her. No mean feat, as Sherlock can see that the boy has gained at least four pounds and grown three inches since the last time he saw him.

“I found all the clues, Mummy.” The boy snuffles into the Woman’s shoulder with a contented sound, clinging to his mother like a limpet. His words are muffled by her dress and his lisp. “I’m a detectiff like Daddy.”

“Well done, my darling. You were so good today.” He can hear her murmur into the boy’s ear so that only the three of them can hear, but she gives Sherlock a sly look over the boy’s shoulder to let him know exactly what she thinks of their son being a detective.

The others behind him are silent, watching their exchange : Mycroft with quiet, barely disguised surprise, John with shock and something akin to morbid fascination, Lestrade with an expression similar to that of a man having a heart attack, and Mrs. Hudson with an entirely too-knowing look.

As the boy settles sleepily into her side, the Woman’s mask slips back on and her eyes are cold and impersonal again when she turns in the direction of the small crowd in the kitchen.

“Kate.” She commands imperiously, and the other woman nods, needing no further instruction. Kate retreats from the table and heads for the door.

He knows where she’s going, and he feels an almost tangible panic begin to close around his throat. The Woman heads towards him, to the door, and he knows she’s leaving.

She’s leaving, and she’s taking the boy with her, and while this is nothing new – she never stays in one place for long – this time… this time he feels an inexplicable fear that tastes like bile in the back of his throat at the thought of her walking out the door.

Maybe it’s the events of this wretched day. Maybe it’s the all-consuming relief at seeing his son alive and well. Maybe it’s the thought that something could happen to them out there and he would be too late – too late, like he almost was tonight – to stop it. Maybe it’s seeing her again after months of separation, and being in her addictive presence that always makes him crave more…

Whatever it is, it grabs hold of him and claws its way from his chest to his throat, spurring him into action. As she brushes by him, he takes hold of her wrist, the one cradling his son. His fingers settle over her pulse.

“Stay.”

His voice is ragged and hoarse, the dam cracks, and the word chokes out of him before he can take it back. His mind cringes at the blatant emotion in that one word, but it is out there and he knows she will do with it what she wishes…

She has him, and the boy has him too. But he will not have either of them once she walks out that door.

“Just for tonight.” That’s all he’s asking. Just one night when he can have her and the boy, to keep him sane, to keep him whole – a touchstone when everything around him, the very life he’s lived, has been called into question.

“I want…” He chokes and his chest tightens painfully, because she’s not meeting his eye, and hers are glacial and unyielding. She lifts her chin and refuses to look at him, her gaze hard and focused forward, her battle mask firmly in place. “I need to know you’re both safe.”

This is him begging.

He has begged many times in her presence, in many ways, not just with words – it is part of the Game they play, the limits she stretches – but never in the presence of others, and as cruel as she may be, it is an unspoken agreement between them that she will not force him into it, will not tear the pride he wears so close to his skin. Not because she can’t or indeed, won’t, but because whatever this is, it stays between them – it is not to be shared.

But this time, he is begging – in front of his friends and family – and she knows it. They are all watching him in silent surprise, but he doesn’t care. His hold on her wrist tightens.

“Please…”

She stills.

He moves closer to her, closer to the boy, and to the utter shock of the others in the room, he bends down and leans his forehead against her temple, his lips almost at her ear. He has no doubt she can hear the raggedness of his breathing, the desperation of it. She hears it, and she goes as still as stone. “Please.”

I would have you until you begged for mercy twice.

How utterly right she had been.

The boy watches them both sleepily, and she turns her head slightly toward his. He draws back just enough to meet her eye, his gaze clear, and he sees something in hers shift, a crack in the ice wall.

Her gaze softens, like it does when she looks at their son — the chemical defect that had the audacity to turn into an actual human being — and she looks away. Looks at Kate with a nod.

He breathes a sigh of profound relief.

The other woman nods back in understanding and disappears through the door. Ten seconds later, he hears the driver’s side door of the black car parked out front open and close. The engine starts and the car drives away. He knows it will be back.

But not tonight.

This is the best kind of ask omfg !!!!! Glad I could get you into my disaster trio!!! …but also are you maybe gonna share like I’m starved for bakushimanari content a n o n

Anon said: Aw man i was gonna recomend that fic by newamsterdam to you. Like i finished reading it and thought you could like it since you like that other kuroo x teru fic (thanks to you and the anon for that btw) and it seemed your style? Im kinda sad i missed the chance (ok i know this whole ask sounds stupid)

Awwww don’t be sad anon, reccing me bakushima stuff is seriously hard because I might or might not go daily in the ao3 tag to read anything complete that’s been updated and I might or might not be following all fics regularly updating unless they have a character death/angst with no happy ending warning oops - thank you for thinking about me tho!!! That made me happy haha

Zip-Line - Part 2

First half.  Wrote this after I learned about the zip-line in Paris.  Can’t do the other half just now, so please enjoy this part.  Also on AO3

Part 1 is here

Marinette heard her friends talking just outside the bathroom door.  It sounded like most of her class was out there.  She’d checked in quickly with Tikki, who was equally excited about trying the zip-line.

“What’s taking so long?” Chloe demanded.  "Is she chickening out before she even gets up the tower?“

Shaking her head, Marinette finished drying off her hands and went out to join them.  "Sorry to disappoint, Chloe,” she said calmly.  "I just wanted to go to the bathroom.“

"Afraid you’ll pee your pants?” Chloe crowed.

“Not particularly,” Marinette brushed off the taunt.  "But I’d like to enjoy the ride without distractions.“

"Where do you want us to wait for you?” Adrien asked.  "Need anyone to go up the tower with you?“

"I’m getting a good spot near the center of the line,” Alya said.  "But that’s a good point.“

Marinette shrugged.  "Maybe the end, so we can head back together?”

“Well I’m going to escort you to the Eiffel Tower,” Chloe said.  "I want to make sure you go up, and I want a front row seat when you back out.“

"Why are you so certain I’ll back out?” Marinette asked.

“You’re plenty brave here, with your feet on the ground, when you’re trying to impress people,” Chloe said with a sniff.  " If you manage to impress them, I want to make sure you have the guts to do what’s right, and I’m not sure you do.  This will prove it.“

Marinette stared at Chloe for a moment, then nodded quietly.  This went deeper than the veneer of bullying, something the spoiled rich girl had reined in abruptly nearly a year ago.

"What are you talking about, Chlo?” Adrien asked, not quite a demand.  "We all know Marinette’s amazing.  Why would she need to impress any of us.“

Chloe shot Marinette a smirk.

My personal thoughts on all of the Nicktoons (so far as of May 2017)
  • Doug: Cute, sweet show. I love it. Sad how it tends to be labeled as "boring" now- it's still a great show. And of course it kicked off the whole "slice-of-life cartoons" trend so that's pretty cool. And yes, I did like the Disney version. But it's nowhere near as good as the Nick version.
  • Rugrats: Probably one of my favorite cartoons ever. Funny, clever, great characters, great music, great '90s aesthetics, and Klasky-Csupo's style is perfect. One of THE best Nicktoons..too bad it got dumbed down in 2001. Ugh...it was such a great show and then I don't know what happened there. Rugrats in Paris should've been the finale. But...even the later episodes are better than it's spin-offs.
  • The Ren and Stimpy Show: While I'm not the biggest fan of most gross-out shows, I LOVE this one. I'm pretty much with Mr. Enter on how most gross-out cartoons seem to be TRYING to be R&S but rarely getting it right. The characters are hilarious and it's so weird, it's funny. But the less about Adult Party Cartoon; the better.
  • Rocko's Modern Life: Amazing show and I'm really excited for the TV movie...whenever that's coming out. I love the visual style, the music, the characters, and I'm sure I love it even more as an adult than I did as a kid (and I did love it as a kid)
  • Aaahh!!! Real Monsters: Another great show (really, Nick was at it's highest point in the '90s, but the early-to-mid '90s especially). Love the characters, the intentionally ugly style...it's just great. Shame it tends to be so underrated.
  • Hey Arnold!: One of the greatest cartoons ever and probably the best Nicktoon ever. I love how it never tried to shy away from more mature themes that other kids' shows wouldn't try touching and it did a great job at it. Looking forward to the Jungle Movie, and of course...Helga was the best.
  • KaBlam!: I loved it as a kid. As an adult, I REALLY wonder why. The wraparounds try way too hard to be "hip", just akwardly shoehorning in references attempting to be the next TTA or Animaniacs, but falling completely flat. Characters were annoying but the voice acting was awesome. I do need to give the show credit for making me a ska fan. Most of the individual shorts kind of sucked but Action League Now! was hilarious and The Off-Beats was cute. And of course...
  • Life With Loopy: Yes I had to give this it's own mention because it's just that good. Nick really needs to give this one it's own series because the campy and surreal nature mixed with the overall sweetness was just a perfect blend, and the animation style was pretty awesome. The title character is just so perfect and so underrated. And I LOVE how aesthetically '90s the whole show is.
  • The Angry Beavers: Another one that's pretty underrated. I always really loved this show. I love all the banter and ad-libbing between Norbert and Daggett. And the music was great. I still listen to "Beaver Fever" and "I Think I Like You" now and again (also...Salem and Zim as beavers. How could you go wrong there?)
  • CatDog: Everyone hates this show but I really loved it. I love the character designs, CatDog themselves, and the theme song is NEVER going to leave my head. Sure, it's no Rocko or Hey Arnold!, but it's still a funny show.
  • Oh Yeah! Cartoons: Unlike KaBlam!, this one had different shorts in every episode rather than just four main short series, so it would take too long to go over all of them (not to mention that a good chunk of them aren't even online!). A lot of the shorts on this show were really funny and had some great visual styles. And Mina and the Count still needs a TV show.
  • The Wild Thornberrys: Really loved this show; I was the "animal kid" in my class so obviously I really liked this one. I just really love Klasky-Csupo. The movie was awesome and so was the show.
  • SpongeBob Squarepants: One of the funniest cartoons ever. While it got annoying seeing it become a schedule clog, the earlier episodes are still great. I heard that it got itself out of seasonal rot (look, let's pretend most of what came in-between the movie and the second movie never happened), but I rarely watch Nick anymore so I wouldn't know. Let's hope so.
  • Rocket Power: Not one of my favorites as a kid or as an adult (I wasn't really into the extreme sports craze), but my friends really liked it so I watched it with them and yeah, I enjoyed what I saw. It does have it's funny moments and while it's incredibly cheesy and way too late '90s/early 2000s that it hurts, it's a fun watch just for the cheese.
  • As Told By Ginger: A great show that I don't think I really appreciated enough until I got older. I guess I was just a LITTLE too young when it was new and by the time I was older and getting more into it...the show got cancelled. It's a really great show and one of Nick's best slice-of-life shows.
  • The Fairly OddParents: Really funny...for the first four seasons. S5 was when it started to slip and everything after that just got worse and worse. I still have fond memories of watching the older seasons and they're still good...but let's hope that jump to Nicktoons meant something.
  • Invader Zim: Great show, great animation, great character designs...did NOT deserve to be screwed over. I'm really looking forward to the TV movie. But...while I do love GIR (though he's not my #1 favorite character), the whole Hot Topic worship of GIR was pretty annoying. Let's face it- 2006/2007 on the internet was a bad time.
  • ChalkZone: Really cute. Admittedly I like the worldbuilding elements and characters a little more than the actual episodes (I did love all of S1 though; I think it was the best season), it's still great. S4 was...not the best though. From what we know about the canned S5, it was probably gonna be a lot better but...Nick had to be Nick. Let us have S5, already. And really- why didn't we get a ton of Snap merchandise?
  • The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius: Good show but I liked the movie more. Had some really funny moments and is so aesthetically early 2000s that it's pretty fun looking back on.
  • My Life as a Teenage Robot: Loved this one and I wish it got more recognition. Jenny was absolutely adorable and she was a hero to me as a kid (okay, looking back...I'm sure I had a crush on Jenny). Sad that the network treated it like shit.
  • All Grown Up!: The special was good. The first season was pretty good. After that I felt like I was reading glorified Rugrats fanfic. All it was really was "Ginger Lite" as ATBG was dealing with the heavier stuff while this was all the leftover stuff. Rugrats was great and had an interesting premise. AGU! was more of the same.
  • Danny Phantom: This was the last Nicktoon I REALLY loved as a kid. A really good show that could've gotten even more awesome had it's own creator not fucked it up. Ugh...I want a revival but PLEASE let it be by Steve Marmel and not Butch. Also Sam was like...my hero...as a preteen. And I've got tons of purple and black in my wardrobe (and the same purple lipstick) now that may or may not have been influenced by her (well, that and/or the fact that those are my favorite colors anyway). Like many others...I totally had a crush on Danny as a kid.
  • Avatar the Last Airbender: Okay, admittedly...I was never into this show. But I praise it for it's themes, animation, story...while I personally couldn't get into it, it still is a great show and probably the last really good Nicktoon for a while. And yeah- we don't talk about that movie.
  • Catscratch: I didn't really see enough of it but what I saw I liked. Wanted to see more but it came and went really fast.
  • The Xs: While the previews for it looked pretty good, I...did not like it. I watched it when it premiered and everything but it was a letdown. Felt like they were trying WAY too hard to make their own version of The Incredibles but with Erin Esurance-esque animation. Voice acting was great though (I noticed that Wendie Malick was the saving grace for TWO bad 2005 cartoons)
  • El Tigre: Okay this was RIGHT around the time I was starting to lose interest/outgrow Nickelodeon. Had a great premise and could've been a really good show and I was looking forward to it, but it felt like tons of other flash cartoons at the time and the voice acting could've been a lot better (great talents- direction-wise though...). Maybe if I were a younger kid when it came out, I would've liked it more, but...it was annoying. But the creator has made some other great stuff and I STILL need to see The Book of Life. I'm kicking myself for not seeing it in the theaters due to my work and college schedule.
  • Tak and the Power of JuJu: Didn't play the games but I already knew the franchise was pretty much dying by the time the show came out. It was awful. And we never heard from Tak again...
  • Back at the Barnyard: The movie had it's problems but was at least watchable. The show was just annoying and unfunny.
  • The Mighty B!: Unpopular opinion, but...I really loved this show. It has problems, but there was something about it I couldn't hate. Bessie was just such a great character. Wasn't a big fan of the grossout elements but otherwise it was really funny. Not a great show, but I was entertained enough.
  • Rugrats Pre-School Daze: YES THIS IS A REAL SHOW. Ugly art style (I'm pissed that K-C didn't use their signature style and went for something more "cutesy"; it just looked awful), bland writing, and really not a very interesting series. No wonder why it only lasted four episodes and didn't even air in the US until 2008 after all the episodes were released direct-to-video as bonus features on those Tales of the Crib DVDs (the less about them, the better). All it felt like was a desperate attempt to keep a dying franchise alive.
  • The Penguins of Madagascar: I was pretty neutral to the Madagascar franchise- saw the first movie in theaters and it was alright; wasn't dying to see the sequels so I never did. The show however never did anything for me.
  • Fanboy and Chum Chum: While I was already losing interest in Nick around 2005-2007, this was right around the time where I was officially done. I was a teenager at this point and not into this stuff anymore, but I stuck around for the old SpongeBob or FOP rerun and well...guilty pleasure Mighty B!. Then they changed the logo. And then this show came out. God...it was SO annoying. Annoying theme song, annoying characters...animation style would've worked a lot better if it was in 2D rather than CGI; it just fell way too deep into the uncanny valley for me. I wouldn't say this was the final nail in the coffin for me though; it was definitely the logo change.
  • T.U.F.F. Puppy: Didn't like it. Jokes weren't that funny. I did love the character designs though.
  • Planet Sheen: Sheen didn't need a spinoff. This was one of the worst ideas ever.
  • Kung-Fu Panda Legends of Awesomeness: Liked the first movie (I need to watch it again), haven't seen the sequels but I should. Was bored with the TV show.
  • TMNT: Haven't seen it but I've heard nothing but good things about it. Maybe I should check it out.
  • The Legend of Korra: Heard it was pretty good, but as I wasn't really into Avatar I probably wouldn't be too interested.
  • Robot and Monster: Never saw.
  • Monsters vs. Aliens: Saw the movie and it was...alright. Didn't think it was warranting of a TV series. Didn't watch it.
  • Sanjay and Craig: Saw some of it while waiting for another show to come and...I never wanted to watch it again. Not a fan of the character designs and it was really unfunny. But it's better than Breadwinners.
  • Rabbids Invasion: I did like the Rabbids games as a preteen but...by this time, I don't think they were that popular anymore. Didn't watch it. How is it still running?
  • Breadwinners: Worst Nicktoon ever (so far). Ugly characters, awful animation, shitty writing...how did this get greenlit? Nick...just because "it's for kids" doesn't mean "we can half-ass it"
  • Harvey Beaks: What's this? A GOOD NICKTOON? Yes- it's such a cute show with cute character designs, really nice animation...it's got a nice, nostalgic feel to it while also feeling like something brand new that Nick hasn't done. I'm pissed that it was screwed over.
  • Pig Goat Banana Cricket: Like Monsters, I like how it's "intentionally ugly" and some of the jokes/line delivery managed to be pretty funny, but is otherwise pretty meh to me overall. I'd like it more if I were seven, because hey, that's the show's target audience.
  • The Loud House: I'm glad it has positive representation (thank you for including gay parents in one of your shows, Nick!), but otherwise it's just too bland and cliched for me. Nice character designs; animation could be better. Again, I'd probably like it more if I were in the target audience.
  • Bunsen is a Beast!: Haven't watched it. Don't plan on it, either.
Spawning Day: A Peter/Gamora Ficlet

(Slight spoilers for “Guardians of the Galaxy”, but if you haven’t seen it, you deserved to be punished anyway.)

Peter Quill had one serious fucking headache.

“Oh God, kill me,” he mumbled as the thumping in his brain intensified as he tried to move his body parts. To his absolute shock, a flat female voice answered him.

“Sure, but we’re in deep space. How would you prefer that I dispense of your corpse?”

Quill palmed his face, peeping through his fingers to see Gamora sitting across from him, her long legs crossed, staring at him with her usual stoic expression.

“Mornin’, Gamora,” he said through a mouth that felt as dry and sandpaper, and yet the taste on his tongue was nothing as mild. “What the hell happened last night?”

He sniffed as he caught the scent of something vile and glanced down to see a bucket a quarter of the way full with what appeared to be vomit. Charming, even for his living quarters.

“You insisted on hitting every bar in the near quadrant because of some sort of anniversary. You got into a couple fights and then came stumbling back rather inebriated with Rocket, Drax, and Groot. Groot dumped you in here and you proceeded to tell me you were so happy you could puke. And then you did. For about half an hour.”

Quill finally managed to sit up. “Oh, right. Yesterday was my birthday.”
