The room fell to dead silence and everyone turned to look at Matt as he stormed into the room. His gaze was focused solely on Keith, whose smile wilted the second he saw the look of utter terror on Matt’s face.
“What was what?” Lance asked in confusion, glancing around Keith’s shoulder at the older Holt.
Matt kept his gaze on Keith, hands planted on his hips. The creased brows made him look pissed off, but the way his chin trembled betrayed his real feelings. “You didn’t tell them, did you?”
“Tell us what?” Pidge asked in confusion, looking between her brother and Keith.
Matt kept his eyes locked on the former red paladin and stepped closer, his arms falling to his sides. “You were going to kill yourself.”
A pin dropped. Everyone slowly turned to look at Keith, eyes wide, and Keith swallowed and ducked his head.
Hunk spoke first, voice soft and shaking. “What is he talking about?”
Keith lifted his eyes, gaze drifting over his team. He licked his lips and shrugged, spreading his hands. “I…if Lotor hadn’t shown up…I was going to use my ship to break up the shield.”
Silence permeated the room for a long moment while everyone processed the information. Pidge frowned, her brows crinkling. The drink in her hand shuddered. “The force from that impact would have essentially burned you alive,” she murmured. Her eyes had become glassy.
Keith snuck a look at the rest of the team, and then wished he hadn’t. Hunk’s cheeks were streaked with tears, his hands pressed to his mouth. Allura was in a similar position, Coran wringing his hands in front of him. Shiro just looked stunned, and Lance-
“Dude what the fuck?” he snapped, his voice cracking. “Why would you…? I mean how could you think…?”
He trailed off, searching Keith with a long look, and something softened in his shoulders.
Lance reached a hand out and grabbed him by the elbow, careful and tentative. Keith let it happen, let his arms encircle his upper back, returned the hug with one of his own.
“Thanks, man,” Lance murmured into his ear as the rest of the paladins swarmed in, a parallel of their first group hug. “But don’t. We need you here.”
Keith’s arms tightened and he glanced up and over Lance’s shoulder through teary eyes to find Matt watching them. His stance had relaxed a bit, his arms now crossed and a satisfied, if sad, smile on his face. He met Keith’s gaze and nodded ever so slightly in his direction, the implication clear: do it again, and he’d personally slap him.
Keith tucked his nose back into Lance’s shoulder, content to stay curled in his team’s arms for as long as he could.

I am being completely serious here, if ben and caleb do not get some sort of romance, or if they don’t acknowledge it on screen and not on twitter, i will be very upset, not just from a “fangirl who’s ship wasn’t made canon” but because there needs to be more representation of lgbt people in history.
So what if there wasn’t any proof or even hints of ben and caleb being together historically, Turn has taken many liberties into their own hands and they can do this one small thing before the show ends. Fans have asked for this, craig knows this is something a lot of us want.
I don’t care if it’s “fan service”, i want to be able to see two historical men on a popular tv to kiss and have romantic feeling to show that being gay isn’t something that was invented in the last 50 years.
