I missed you guys. It’s been an amazing 9 days of adventure. I’m almost too tired and lazy to post anything but since it’s Thankful Thursday, I wanted to share a few highlights.
6 hour tour of Washington D.C.
6 hour tour of New York City
Wading through the crowd at Times Square on a Saturday Night.
Finding a Chick-Fil-A and gorging on their chicken salad sandwiches (we don’t have any in Minnesota and I miss them.).
Eating an authentic Philly cheesesteak and seeing the Liberty bell in the span of an hour.
Visiting the 9-11 memorial.
Catching my first glimpse of the Statue of Liberty for the first time.
Catching my first glimpse of the White House for the first time.
Spending each day with my family and old friends and not having a moment of solitude to mope over things I usually mope about.
There’s so many other things I could mention, but I’m guessing you get the jist of it now. I have broken blood vessels all around both ankles where my swelling fought the tightness of my socks and lost. I also have a ginormous blister on my heel that somehow managed to stay intact. My feet are still hurting like crazy, but I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
I’m also thankful that none of my friends and followers un-followed me during my absense. I may not be able to catch up on all that I missed this last week, but if any of you have any news or something you want to share, please feel free to msg me and tell me to pay attention to you!
I hope you will all be patient with me in the next couple of weeks as I slowly share photos and memories of my time on the upper east coast. I probably took over 600 photos! But for now, I think I’ll try and get some laundry done and chill for the day.
It’s taken me about 11 years, but I finally managed to find the “Profiler” episode that I was in. Here it is!
Sure, sure, it was just an extra job. Still, this was the first acting job I got to do when I first moved to Hollywood. Back then I was all starry-eyed. I had landed a theatrical agent and decided that it was a great sign for me to move to California. As a plus size girl, however, it wasn’t always easy to even get auditions. I probably spent more time as an extra than anything else. It’s a bittersweet memory for me, but right now I’m just happy to find it. And look… that’s Marcia Cross as the killer.
If anyone is actually curious about the episode, it’s in the 4th season and it’s called Proteus. In the rest of this scene I pick up the box of donations and walk up the aisle, so you get so see some good nun’s ass shots. I was on the set for 12 hours that day, and I can’t believe how much of it, I still remember. One particular memory was of me in the hair and make-up wagon and looking over and seated next to me was Jamie Luner staring back at me.
One of these days, I’ll have to do a series of photos to show all the plays and productions that I was cast as a nun. Nurses and nuns seem to be the roles I’ve had the most.
Thanks for letting me walk down memory lane for a moment.
Someone sent this picture to my husband via his cellphone, so sorry for the quality. And just to give you an idea of how weird this family is, we’re now heading to Ace Hardware to see if they actually have this stuff in stock.
Anybody want some? They could have a whole load of them there.
UPDATE: Went to the store but couldn’t find any. The look of the young cashier was priceless when my hubby asked for it by name. I wish I could have taken a picture of his expression.
Sorry I haven’t been around much. Went to the State Fair yesterday and had a blast. I’m sore as hell today and it seems like I had about 2 days of tumblr material to go through last night and today, so I hope I didn’t miss anything important.
