“Choose life. Choose Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and hope that someone, somewhere cares. Choose looking up old flames, wishing you’d done it all differently. And choose watching history repeat itself. Choose your future. Choose reality TV, slut shaming, revenge porn. Choose a zero-hour contract, a two-hour journey to work and choose the same for your kids, only worse. And smother the pain with an unknown dose of an unknown drug made in somebody’s kitchen. And then, take a deep breath.”

T2: Trainspotting (2017) dir. Danny Boyle

  • Person: you have such a quirky personality, and I think your mannerisms are cute :)
  • Me: thanks, I borrowed them from my coworker, best friend, and the main character of the tv show I've been watching recently.

Naaah I don’t need help, I am just obsessed, There is no problem in that.

N: I was thinking about the first night at the beach house. Caught you out.
E: Yes. I believe I threatened to crush your windpipe.
N: Good times! That night, I offered to help you too, and you said I wasn’t a part of this.
E: Clearly, I was wrong.

Story Time!

So back in my freshmen year of high school I was in orchestra. I played cello all through middle school and enjoyed it very much. I knew I wasn’t great I was usually back row but I didn’t really care. One day the teacher stops class to work on my part since I was having trouble with a piece. She says out loud to the class “One bad apple spoils the whole bunch” that day I decided to quit orchestra and try out theatre. (Which ended up being my passion)

14 years later I’m the producer for a local community TV show. The teacher emails me wanting to come on my show to promote an upcoming concert (She doesn’t remember me). The day before her scheduled appearance she tells me she wants to bring students to play on the show. I always like the idea of adding something like that to an interview. She asks me how many students she can bring. I tell her that due to the size of the set I can only fit a couple people on (4 students max). She replies to me saying she wants to have 3 violins, a cello, a guitar and a drummer. I brainstorm with some co-workers and find a way we can have them outside at a gazebo. It’s the perfect way to have them all fit and perform. We would just need them there an hour before the show started to get microphones and sound set up. She replies she doesn’t want to play outside and that the students wouldn’t be able to get there until just before 4 (The time my show goes live on air). I tell her I have paid advertisers coming on that day who I must accommodate and that if she wasn’t able to work with what we can provide that I would have to withdraw my invitation to have her come on the show because after all “one bad apple spoils the whole bunch”.

get to know me [4/5] tv shows: revenge
When I was a little girl, my understanding of revenge was as simple as the Sunday school proverbs it hid behind. Neat little morality slogans, like “do unto others” and “two wrongs don’t make a right. But two wrongs can never make a right because two wrongs can never equal each other.
