If you have a mental disorder due to emotional abuse clap your hands

If you struggle with anxiety because you could never get your parents’ approval clap your hands

If shit in your childhood fucked you up in ways you don’t fully understand and you really want emotional support

If you just want to be happy clap your hands

The story behind this signed receipt: A guy was eating dinner at a restaurant in Seattle before going to the Daft Punk show in July 2007. He hears some guys next to him speaking French and thinks that’s kind of weird. He does some Googling and realizes omg it’s Thomas from Daft Punk!

So he goes over and talks to him. Then he asks him to write down his top five current jams, and then his favorite song of all time. (x)

Ratatat - Lex
Kavinsky - Testarossa Autodrive
Rage Against the Machine - Killing In The Name Of (SebastiAn Remix)
Sebastien Tellier, Mr. Oizo & SebastiAn - Steak Soundtrack
Sebastien Tellier - Sexuality (produced by Guy-Man)

And on the song he has listed as his favorite of all time: he writes it here as Darlin’ - American Spring version. The guy who got this autograph thinks he’s talking about a song by their band before DP, Darlin’, but he’s not right. Thomas is actually talking about a song called Thinkin’ ‘Bout You Baby by American Spring. This was written by Brian Wilson and was later reworked into the song Darlin’ by the Beach Boys, which is what Thomas, Guy-Man, and Laurent Brancowitz used as inspiration for their first band.

Daft Punk playing with Phoenix at Madison Square Garden, 2010

"At fifteen, we met Laurent from Phoenix. We made a band together, Darlin’… What is the probability that twenty years later, we’re back on stage of the Madison Square Garden, all three of us? Our stories keep crossing…" (x)

(My favorite part of this video is Thomas absolutely killing it on the keyboard from 3:00-5:00, in case anyone was wondering. And his crazy headbanging near the end.)
