“At least you know what you want. I mean, you know who you are and what you want and what’s important to you. Me, I’m a mess. I don’t have anything, or anyone, or even any kind of idea who I am, or what I am doing, or why. And I have done stuff. I have done bad stuff and I don’t know what I’m doing anymore.”
“That neighbor kid, Mike Wildon, I did hit in the face with a stick. Um.. when his dad came over and was yelling and you asked me if it was true… I lied. And you thought I never lied. So you took my side, and you and his dad got in that big fight. And then his kids egged our house. Then Ronny and Jerry went over and blew up his lawnmower. Anyway. I did it. He was teasing me, and he was bigger than me. So I hit him with a stick to reach his face. And I lied to you dad. So, I’m saying I’m sorry. Dad? If you have any more fight in you, if you could fight this thing just… just a little harder that would be good. Then you could come home.”
“Fine! Let’s look at that tattoo up close and personal, shall we? What are these? Oh, my God! Breasts! How does anybody practice medicine hauling these things around? And what have we got back here? Let’s see if I remember my anatomy. Glutes, right? Let’s study them, shall we? Gather around and check out the booty that put Izzie Stevens through med school! Have you had enough, or should I continue, because I have a few more very interesting tattoos. You want to call me Dr. Model? That’s fine. Just remember that while you’re still sitting on two hundred grand of student loans… I’m out of debt.”
Right so, most people know Davey Havok wrote Kill Caustic about Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio when he hooked up with Davey’s ex, right? We all know Kill Caustic means Kill Alkaline and the lyrics
“connect to a three-volt/I hope your battery dies”
are pretty hilariously non-subtle and melodramatic.
SO, I was lying in bed last night, thinking about how weird it was that Hunter Burgan is taking part in Matt Skiba and the Sekretions (or whatever) and wishing I knew what DHav’s reaction was. And I was thinking about they lyrics to Kill Caustic, and I remembered that the main chorus is all like “Looooove theeese screams like IIIIIII doooo”
So my question is, if the song is a message to Matt Skiba, when Havok says “Love these screams like I do”, is he talking about the noises made when he and the lady in question are in the sack?
